The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Eye Poll: Recall Councilor Harris

In our second poll involving Councilor Harris, the results turned out to be almost the same. 69% of Eye readers felt that the councilor should be recalled, 21% felt that he should continue, 4% didn't know, 6% didn't care. (View the full results here.)

Remember, this is an unscientific poll and the only real poll that counts is the one in October and it only includes the registered voters in his district. However, it never bodes well to see even an unscientific poll that's this lop-sided. It also mirrors our earlier approval poll which indicated a 60% disapproval rating.

This week we're taking a look at the council race in district 4 where incumbent Brad Winter is being challenged by Paulette de'Pascal. Don't forget to vote.

Once again, remember folks, don't wish too hard for what you want, you may get just get it. But remember also the consequences of this recall. An appointment by Marty Chavez, the same one who along with Tina Cummins brought you the speed bumps to begin with.
Have you really thought this thing through? That is, if the powers behind this recall already have that person in the fix. It would behoove those that vote FOR this recall to know just who it is that would replace Harris. Will it be one of the challengers to Districts 2,4 or 6ix? Could it be Tina herself? If those are the options, and you recall Don, you're in big trouble.

Harris needs to go. This is not about the mayor. Harris is bad for District 9. He screwed up the resolution of the open space, has gone to war with every homeowner association, "blighted" sections of the southeast part of town, opposes the simplest things like bike paths and is pro-mass sprawl development and anti-environment. Oh yeah, he also gives a fund raiser after the election and puts thousands of dollars into his pocket "to pay. himself back."

Who held the fund raiser for him?

Marty. At Scalo resturant, last year.

I will be thrilled with any pick of the Mayors. Don Harris needs to go, he is a crook and when the Audit comes out from the City he will be creamed by the press. I am unsure why everyone thinks that the Mayor will pick someone bad. He easily one our District 9 Mayoral Ballot and is very popular in the SE. Even at the pie contest at the State Fair today, a judge went off about the City Council and how pathetic they were. So, let the Mayor pick Harris' replacement and NO it won't be Tina Cummins, she has no interest in going back on the Council, just give her a call and ask her. Less than three weeks and dandy don will be RECALLED!!!

That' fine. But you that want this recall better damn well know who it is that will serve this district.
In speaking with several Four Hills residents last night, the bottom line for them is 'out with the speed humbs', and that doesn't necessarily mean getting rid of Don Harris. On the other hand, letting Marty choose, you are killing any chance of those speed humps removal.
"Happy Humping" up there.

It is NOT about the the humps, Harris and his handful of supporters want you to think it is about this stupid issue, to take people off of real trail of greed, and graft. Harris is crooked, he has taken money from Developers and given them special treatment. He has taken money in excess of the contribution laws and NOT returned the excess. He says he did, but his BOOKS SAY SOMETHING DIFFERENT!!! Harris votes in a block with the other loser Councilors. We need someone that will stand on his/her own. Yes, there are people in District 9 that will stand up to the Mayor too, if they are appointed. I say vote out the ENTIRE COUNCIL and START FRESH, they all are a bunch of followers and not one is a real leader.
