The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. More than Skeletons

The Albuquerque Journal ran a story (Subscription) today that we told you about last night (read it here), district 4's Honey Bee (or more accurately Honey BS) decided it would be a good idea to claim that she had both a Bachelor's Degree and a Master's Degree from Almeda University. Ms. de'Pascal's claims sure made her educational experience more of a match for her opponent Councilor Brad Winter, who holds both a Master's Degree and a Ph.D. from the University of New Mexico.

As you already know, Almeda University is a diploma mill, so the Honey Bee's B.S. is just that and might as well have been made a Kinko's. In today's Journal she responded saying, "you show me someone who doesn't have skeletons in their closet. That person is a saint... (ABQ Journal - Subscription)"

Well, no one is accusing her of being a saint and we've found precious few candidates or elected officials who are. The problem is Ms. de'Pascal's skeletons just keep falling out of her closet and have a direct bearing on whether or not she can be trusted by those she seeks to represent.

Another skeleton just happened drop out right in front of our Eyes. According to our Eyes, Ms. de'Pascal's questionnaire was filled out by none other than Captain Payne himself, with the help of Karen Fisher. We've heard for years how city officials have often crossed the line when it comes to elections; sometimes innocently other times not. Our understanding is that these questions were answered downtown on a city computer. Can we prove it... no, but if The Captain and any crew on the city payroll are campaigning on city time using city equipment, we've got a real problem.

According to the Journal, degrees from Almeda University cost anywhere from $500 to $1,500. We wonder, when did she get these bogus degrees and who paid for them? Is this yet another example of candidates using "clean" money?

Ms. de'Pascal's educational qualifications were never an issue until she decided to try and pass off bogus degrees from an unaccredited university as genuine. This is not an example of a "skeleton" in a closet but rather the conscious effort to deceive, right here, right now.

Normally, I listen to all candidates up to the day of election.

I have decided that Ms. de'Pascal has crossed a line. There is nothing that she can say that will rehabilitate her candidacy.

Nice scoop on the Journal!

Nice going Greg Payne, Sandra Richardson and who ever else is running this 'campaign train' straight to hell. You have all screwed up my chances for a possible job at Council Services. Now I have to go get a job.

This 'Eye' poll; do you really think that D-4 people are choosing Paulette over Brad 57% - 43%?
After reading the newspapers and listening to the Villinucci show, It's obvious that a half assed lame effort is being conducted on City time by the minions of Marty to push this poll.
What a pathetic choice for a candidate. What's Greg getting out of this? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm....

Went to Almeda's website, took their online questionaire, Wow I can be a PhD ....Pascal is a buffoon, and being led around by the nose by less than scrupulous people obviously. Plus I learned here that she was a Republican until she decided to run? I think Ill have to move to that district just so I can vote for Brad.

This Democrat will be voting for Brad!!

Unlike in the Wizard of Oz, Honey Bee is living proof that all the bogus degrees in the world don't make you any smarter. After all de'Pascal had Captain Payne, who got caught for blatantly lying on his own surveys, fill out her survey too. But don't be too surprised if like Captain Payne Mayor Marty appoints Honey Bee to a 100K a year job for her loyal support. Now that's doing the most with our tax dollars.

It's not WHAT you know, but who you .....

Jeeezz... The Journal questions just weren't that tough. Now we have someone who can't even write?

Who is Karen Fisher and does she work for Marty? Is she a city employee? Supervisor, director, what is her position or title?

Just wondering?

Last night's debate was a blow out. Where were all the city emplyees in support of Paulette.
The ship is going down, so all the rats are scurrying. I guess Sandra Richardson won't get her Council Services job now.

Re: Karen Fisher

Did original poster mean Karen Fischer? A Karen Fischer is a city employee. Appears to be employed by APD.

this blog is pathetic. re-doing the survey because brad winter because you did not like the result. and then accusing the de pascal camp of galvanizing friends and family to vote for her...so what? brad's camp can do the same thing and did do. it's a stupid, unscientific survey that is inaccurate at best...it's pure entertainment. the eye is all worked up over de pascal and the constant, ongoing petty attacks are so unattractive...is brad winter's wife behind this catty stuff. grow up people. if brad did a good job, then he will remain the city councillor in his district. de pascal is a non-threat so stop making up bs about her or embellishing little stupid facts that mean nothing in the scheme of life. goodness gracious...sheesh...much ado about nothing. i smell winter's wife in this campaign...stop being catty..ENOUGH!

Ooooooh.
No matter what, tha's not called for; in fact totally off limits.
Always, always, spouses and their children are always off limits.
I loathe the clintons, but never drag Chelsea into the fray.

Two up. This is exactly why winter's opponent should not be elected. This is the mentality of her campaign.

No Spouses.. no kids. Basic rule of all warfare/politics/whatever.. Very Very low-rent to go there. As to these items being a non-issue I would have agreed had it been a parking ticket but going from TVI dropout to MBA by virtue of a $1500 internet degree goes directly to her integrity. Ergo, she is not qualified after this point unless she can show that someone else somehow put that info out and she managed to not even read the paper when it was published... i.e. her campaign is toast.

Thanks for the info on Paulette De'Pascal.
