The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Progress

Monday we told you about the disturbing attitude being exhibited by APD's Crimes Against Children unit. In essence they told the parents of two sexually molested children that their case wasn't a priority (read it here) because there was no penetration.

It seems that with the help of our Eyes and a heart-felt plea from the parents (read it here), the CAC got off of their, uh... cases and completed their investigation. We received another email from the two molested children's parents just today informing us that the parents had finally been contacted and that the APD portion of the case had been completed. According to the parents, the case is now in the hands of the district attorney's office for submission to a grand jury.

We're glad that this case is going forward. Our only concern is that it sure seems like it took public pressure to get the CAC to do their job. If so, it's more than a little concerning and reflects poorly on the leaders of the department - Chief Schultz and his boss, Mayor Martin Chavez.

Don't worry, we've got our Eyes on this one and will let you know how this case proceeds. You can be sure that if the DA drops the ball we'll be less than pleased and in an election year...

Thank you eye for taking steps to protect the young and innocent that can't protect themselves.

Eye...your fingers are on fire...it's "proceeds" as in moves forward!

It is good to know that pressure works everytime....it's a shame because I have a similar story to this. Only it involves my teenage daughter. An older male subject offered her alcohol and her mistake she took it, but he kept on giving it to her. I knew that being a parent as much as I talk to my kids that one day I would have to deal with them coming home drunk. But I had no idea I would get a phone call that proceeded that we found your daughter in a ditch with her pants down around her ankles and she was passed out.

I am in Law Enforcement and knew what had happened. I was working when I got the call and rushed to the emergency room. Upon my arrival, I found her in a room and she was out of it! I asked the nurse if they were going to do a rape kit and as out of it as my daughter was, she looked up and said, "You don't think he???" " Yes, I Do!"
So I took her to SANE and they conducted their exam. The nurse found a piece of a torn condom and contusions that showed her legs were flat and on her back when the offender raped her. The Field officers went to the park and found the offender who had returned, when they asked him if he knew my daughter, this kid tells the Officer, " Yeah, I boned her."

The Detective, who I will name because she is worthless was Mary Ann Wallace. She assured me that everything possible would be done. She told me, " It's a good thing your a cop or you would'nt be getting this treatment." I was hopeful that it would go our way. My daughter gave her statement and it was your typical, well I liked him, I accepted Alcohol and I was not the perfect Angel, But it never changed the fact that he got my daughter so drunk, she could not say no or did she know what he was doing.

So after I read the report, which I still have a copy, Mary Ann Wallace stated that she called and left a message on the answering machine for the best friend of the offender, and that he was not interviewed because he never returned the phone call. Are you kidding me? She should have hunted the kid down and interviewed him and before he had a chance to get with the offender to discuss what their story was going to be. But because the kid with a criminal record knew she wasn't leaving her office, he never called back. The case was looked at by another agency and they did some follow up and tried to put the case back together as best they could.

The ADA was looking at the case and told me the chances were slim because of the case prepared by Wallace, the ADA then looked at me and said, " Mary Ann Wallace isn't the sharpest tool in the shed." So the case went no where. I know it was because Mary Ann treated at another teenage daughter who just got caught and tried to get out of it. But I am an investigator too and I know the right questions weren't asked and the interviews were shotty,

So me being a cop and getting, "The treatment" I would hate to see what the non-treatment is. And as for the offender.... I won't be bound by the S.O.P. and conduct unbecoming when I retire :)

We can no longer risk important cases like this to be in the hands of Kari's administration.

Thats why everyone needs to vote for Lisa Torraco for Bernalillo County DA so we can once againg be tough on crime and bring down the thugs in the City

Brandenberg is without question the WORST district attorney we've had.

Take a look at her assistant DAs. They're all bleeding heart liberals who ought to be working for the Public Defenders Office. That's where their sympathies are.

Get rid of Brandenberg and Torraco will start prosecuting real criminals. Not people like the former Marine who rightfully defended himself, his family, his property and our community.

Great job on that one Kari!

Vince does the mayor know you are actively campaigning against his friend the democrat DA while you are on duty?

The "Former Marine" is a criminal and belongs in jail......Kari was right to prosecute him.

Mary Anne Wallace screwed something up? Well thats a big shorck! That lying disgusting swine has been screwing up investigations for decades. If she even actually does some investigating at all.

WHY DOES THIS WOMAN STILL HAVE A JOB?!?!

Lisa Torraco has my vote, as well as anybody I get the chance to talk to.

The EYE did nothing in reference to this case check the dates of submission. It had been done. What bunk.

Another fine example of what you get when you lower the bar and accept lateral transfers from ANYWHERE. Look who is in the unit and where they came from.

And yes, Torraco is an excellent choice for DA, although I'd vote for Bozo the Clown just to get Brandenberg out of here!

In our opinion, The EYE did an excellent job bringing this out, and helping to move our case along. Dates of submission are completely irrelavent. What is "bunk" is the garbage the supervisor spewed to us regarding penetration and priorities. What is "bunk" is the fact that no phone calls were returned when we only sought to be updated on the status of our case. What is "bunk" is the supervisor telling us that we were "doubling and tripling" the detective's workload by leaving so many messages. What is "bunk" is the cavalier attitude towards a pedophile who lives a block away from an elementary school. You can call it "bunk", but the reality is, The EYE was there for us when they weren't. The EYE gave a damn when they didn't. ALL we wanted was a simple phone call. That's it. So don't sit there and claim after the story comes out that they did their job, because regardless of what the "dates of submission" were, by ignoring and chastising the parents of two sexually molested children, they failed
to perform the most basic and fundamental aspects of their job: Compassion, Communication, and Honesty.

JUST A NOTE:

If your house is burglarized, APD will take 4-6 hours to arrive. If Fido is locked in the car and you are elderly they will arrive in 19 minutes to arrest you. Wow Ray Boy has some screwed up priorities.

Don't tell them that you have just been robbed. Tell them that your dog has been robbed. The response will be immediate!!

To "The Parents":

Absolutely fantastic reply. You couldn't have said that any better.

These parents are proof that the people in this city aren't going to just sit around and let things slide anymore....

Watch out Marty and Company....election day's a comin.
