The polls are open! It's win or go home for a number of Democrats and Republicans in the only poll that really matters. But until we find who officially won, let's take a look at last week's Eye Poll of the Democratic and Republican primaries.
They were both squeakers with Lawrence Rael edging out Brian Colon on the D side and John Sanchez taking the prize from Senator Kent Cravens for the Rs. The margin of victory for both was a single vote. Lawrence Rael received 37%, Brian Colon 36%, Jose Campos 21%, and Gerald Ortiz Y Pino and Linda Lopez tied with 3% each (view the results here). For the Rs John Sanchez received 43%, Kent Cravens 43%, and Brian Moore 14% (view the results here).
Of course our results are unscientific, but it's looking like all of the action in tonight's election won't be in the Republican gubernatorial contest. In fact, it's probably going to be the lieutenant governor candidates that are burning the midnight oil on both sides of the isle.

Does the Eye believe that a vote for Susana Martinez will not be a threat to pro-choice?
I guess this blog will be up and running again after Jay kicked Withitney's a**. I bet some of her time will be spent working on Waye's campaign. If Wayne wins, he will not be trusted by anyone, because we know he works with the brown eye. Correction, Brad might be his buddy.

It seems as though you've hired people to work political campaigns instead of the city. You've got Bruce Rizzerie and David Campbell working on Lawrence Rael's bid for Lt governor, and you have Darren White running around with Susana Martinez in her bid for governor.
Endorsing candidates is one thing, but why do we pay a public safety Director to camp out in Las Cruces the other night with his candidate.
Mail pieces going out with a return address of Darren White's in the Uptown office complex. Does Darren work there or at One Civic Plaza? Which is it?
Many are asking if he is shopping for a job in Santa Fe?
Do you think that your turning a blinds eye to all of this sends the right message? Are your employees putting in for leave? Don't hand us BS that they are doing any of this on their own time, not the taxpayer dime. Don't go there . We both know better.

I hope she is a threat to pro choice. Abortion is a crime. I also hope Martinez is a threat to gas and lesbian marriage and re instates the death penalty. These are all important issues that Richardson and Denish destroyed. Conservatism is back in NM wehter or not people want to realize it or not. People are sick of all the liberals who continually destroy America. Immigration is a HUGE issue that needs to be dealt with at a federal level. If not , I hope Susana deals with that issue as well. She WILL win in November.
Interesting, yeah, but can you please get back to what goes on in the City, APD, city hall, etc? You sure have changed your stripes, Eye, are you afraid they'll out you?
Lets hear more about APD supervisors bailing out before the final budget cut goes into effect.

How does one become a commander of the chaplain unit anyways? Maybe I need some serious charges levied against me then in order to elude the contoversy i'll become "saved" & then ill become a commander too.
