The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Albuquerque Journal Editorial Board Post Makes Sense

Known for writing nonsense and gibberish; the AJED (Albuquerque Journal Editorial Board) regurgitated public information and posted it in the Albuquerque Journal’s (read it here) Editorial Section. The AJED usually writes a barrage of “tree hugging and extreme liberal opinions.” The AJED summarized the actions of our City Government. For the most part, the statements all agree that the City will cooperate with the DOJ (Department of Justice) probe. AJED is clearly non-committal of the article; the AJED simply put information together for the public.

The DOJ had already initiated a probe into the deadly force actions of the Albuquerque Police Department. Darrell (Mayor Berry) and his other brother Darrell (Robbie Perry) and his other brother Darrell (Ray Schultz) tried desperately to cover up the entire issue by having some friends of Schultz do a review with recommendations. The article states that Perry sent a letter to DOJ along with the PERF report. We wonder if Perry made the same statement to DOJ that he made to the City Council. When the DOJ stops laughing, there may be a list of ideas as to what they will do with the PERF report; kindling for a fire, paper to use under the bird cage, etc…The report (PERF) was returned with the recommendations and a huge bill. The Eye is sure that the City of Albuquerque is paying for someone’s beach-front property.

The City Council made the correct decision calling for the investigation. Public trust is paramount and must be gained and retained at all costs. The biggest question remains; why has the “Darrell Brothers” (Blue-Berry, Straw-Perry and Shortcake-Schultz) tried avidly to prevent this investigation? Here is a reminder from the Eye; the Darrell Brothers do not have a choice in the matter. The DOJ is a federal agency and does not need your approval to conduct any type of investigation. DOJ is the real thing, if they need to come in and rescue APD from corruption; they have legitimate legal authority to do so.

On the brighter side of things, DOJ may not find anything with the current probe and may not conduct a full blown investigation. Chances are strong that some type of an investigation will ensue because of the “culture of corruption” that exists in APD and the failure of the City’s current mayor to respond to the problems. White was pressured out; Schultz should never have been retained and should leave like White. The Democrats are throwing parties behind the scenes in jubilation of Berry’s failures. The new mayor will be tasked with cleaning up all the Berry stains left behind.

This whole mess is going to turn “Berry ugly” in a hurry due to a few “Berry bad mistakes,” such as White, Schultz, Baragiola, etc…The Democrats will be saying, Thank you “Berry much” mister Mayor.

Yes, endorsing GWB in '04 and McCain in '08 shows 'tree hugging and extreme liberal opinions' from the Albuquerque Journal Ed Board.

REF: Endorsing GWB. Get your facts correct moron, the Journal did those endorsements not the AJED. Put down the crack pipe for a minute....

Read Joe Monahan's report on the cost of APD lawsuits. This alone should keep the DOJ busy.

Simply amazing that Schultz is still Chief.

So far as I can see, this administration is an utter failure and in shambles. The Mayor Berry administration is in meltdown mode and it's due in part, the lack of experience, part incompetence and mostly the lack of ethics in in those who he (Berry) appointed.
Make no mistake; Schultz, White & Campbell had no ethics to begin with and the buck stops with this current mayor, who will surely be replaced come 2013.
It just goes to show, that the citizens of Albuquerque made a
"Berry Bad Mistake"

Rob Perry is loosing credibility with his peers. His defending Berry,
White & Schultz the was he has, will ultimately bite him in the ass.
Albuquerque is not that big a town and hitching his horse to these cretins will only make him part of what is shaping up to be a huge embarrassment on a national scale.
Remember, you are who and what you hang around with. Association is everything.

After all is said and done, a push poll will be taken and this mayor's popularity and his approval numbers will fall.

So, do cops prefer dirty air and water? Is pollution a positive social value for you? The Journal has been consistently conservative and supportive of APD. But APD is earning such a deservedly bad reputation, from top to bottom, that even its friends can't continue to pretend that all is well. You folks are kidding yourselves if you think APD problems are all at the top. There are loads of bad apples in the APD barrel and they infest all levels of the department. For example Levi Chavez and his four accomplices; there is a free pass for cops and something else for the rest of us. When will cops stop covering for crooked cops? The DOJ is not going to ignore the misdeeds of the rank and file.

Culture of corruption. Come on eye, the majority men and women who answer 15 calls for service per day and the detectives carrying a large caseload come to to serve and protect. They all have families and want to go home at the end of the day. Some blamed Galvin with the laterals, some blame Gallegos with lowering the standards, and Schultz for the emtoy suit. I blame the decline in morals in our society. The lack of the Fear Of God.

Most live for the moment. Not for the future. So get rid of the "Culture of Corruption, get real. I am retired now but have worked for 5 Chiefs including the three listed above. It comes down to a generation of IMMORALITY. .

Sorry to tell the retired guy at 10 am but APD does have a culture of corruption and it has nothing to do with faith in God.

The majority of APD cops are decent people, but just like the old burglary squad back in the 70's, we had some really bad apples. The difference is we had a chief of police who wanted to acknowledge these officers and put their butts in prison.

Schultz refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing. Look how long it took him to do anything with the Levi Chavez case. For months he blamed Valencia County for doing a bad investigation. When finally he was backed into a corner, he ends up finding out information that caused him to fire one of the officers involved.

So come down from your pulpit and get to work cleaning things up. Don't wait for God to do it and don't say you are so surprised that some officer have lost their morality. It has always been that way. There are always a few officers who make the rest of us look bad. We just need a real chief with real leadership.

The rank and file of A.P.D. are hard working decent people that care very deeply about this city. I know most of them, not all, and I would trust my life to any of them. Any organization will have a few bad apples. These people bring shame to all,and all good cops feel the shame these people have brought. I will tell you this: for every person you can name that has brought shame to A.P.D. I will name you 100 that serve with honor.

Funny how certain R's are defending this guy. I go to meetings and listen to them defending him like some F _ _ King god.
Well, all I can say is that you guys are in the minority. Nothing Darren can do to help you or the Republican party to further its or your agenda.
But go ahead an attach yourselves to this and find out how it serves you.

To: "YOU MESSED WITH THE MARINE". Three phrase come to mind when I read your posts.
The boy who cried wolf. Chicken Little. Put up or shut up.

To the gentleman who told me to put down my crack pipe, I have two things to say:

1) I bow to your superior intellect.

Calling me a moron and telling me to put down my crack pipe has shown me I could clearly never attempt to disagree with a point made by the author of this blog by trying to show evidence which I believed bolstered my opinion, that being the Journal Ed Board is hardly 'tree-hugging' or 'extremely liberal' since they endorsed the last two Republican candidates for President.

You waited all of 13 minutes to counter my argument by calling me a moron. Well played, Sir. I clearly cannot trump such a well thought out persuasive process of reasoning.

2) I'm just going to leave this cut and paste from Nov. 2, 2008 here:

McCain for President

So, my question to you is if the Editorial Board didn't make the endorsements and didn't write the editorial, but rather as you claim 'the Journal' did, who exactly wrote the editorial?

By the way, here's the headline, byline, and disclaimer of the DOJ Editorial from Sunday:
