The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. And the Truth will Berry Schultz

What is it with Mayor Berry and Chief Schultz that despite being the chief executives of the state’s largest city and the state’s largest police department, they always seem to come up short when pressed and questioned about significant events by the media?

This past week has been especially troublesome for both Berry and Schultz. Instead of working with city council to get the Paseo project underway, Mayor Berry felt it was more important to—once again—insert himself into APOA concerns. Whether you feel the support the police union gives to officers involved in shootings is “bounty” money or “therapy” money, for the Mayor to assert that the APOA needs to stop that practice is absurd. (If it weren’t for labor unions and labor oriented laws, Berry’s wife’s construction company wouldn’t get minority tracked contracts from the government.) Then complimenting that action is Chief Schultz stating he was unaware of the support the APOA offers its officers.

Remember this is the same Mayor Berry who claims to have not watched (or only part of) the video showing Officer’s Doyle and Woolever arrest a fleeing fighting felon while the rest of the country was watching repeats of it and wondering why a police department would discipline officers for NOT resorting to deadly force.

Remember this is the same Mayor Berry who stated he’d demote Commander Murray Conrad by taking away his area command for sustaining Doyle’s use of force if Conrad hadn’t already retired from APD, yet Cmdr. Conrad was very well employed by APD when he sustained the force.

Remember this is the same Mayor Berry who launched a campaign to reduce property crime without considering what exactly drives people to steal property in the first place—here’s a hint Mayor Berry, it’s not to play the video games they steal, it’s for drugs.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz who modified the officer’s shift schedule from four ten-hour shifts to five eight-hour shifts expecting there to be a reduction in calls for service wait times and cost savings when in fact calls hold as long as ever and the department’s budget continues to explode.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz that sat on the Levi Chavez debacle and did all he could to dissuade Valencia County law enforcement to pursue an investigation.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz who’s fired many officers involved in seemingly high profile incidents only to find he was without cause to support the terminations. From Chavez and Comacho to Perea and Wilson, Schultz is losing hearing after hearing because they fail to follow established procedures. And when they lose, they fail to assign responsibility where it rests: poor legal representation or deputy chiefs who commit perjury.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz that tossed the careers of two officers in favor of a recidivistic offender and member of the Aryan Brotherhood to appear as if he’s “tough” with his officers to thwart a DOJ probe.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz that endorsed the actions which resulted in the defective complaint against a senior district court judge.

Remember this is the same Chief Schultz that has implemented more computerized report, evidence, and database systems yet routinely states he was unaware of developing situations.

And from what our Eyes tell us, much worse is coming.

The current administration of the city and APD routinely attack the truth while supporting lies. We think it’s time for that practice to come to an end. We just witnessed possibly the saddest day in the history of the APOA and from what our Eyes tell us, much worse is coming. Now is the time for change with APD as well.

What a politician tell the truth ? jUST ask Mayor Berry and the promise he made to the Police so he would get elected. FOOL ME ONCE SHAME ON YOU, FOOL ME TWICE SHAME ON ME. I for one won't be fooled again.

Hey why was Gov. Martinez and Darren White having lunch at Wecks today ? You remember Darren don't you. Gov. Martinez just lost my vote. Gov. Romney better take heed. Vice President so Darren can have a big fat job in Washington.

The same Shultz that retaliated against Brad Ahrensfield for his testimony in Camacho's case. And when asked about the retaliation, Shultz lied about it. Remember Ahrensfield called Shultz out at the city council meeting?

Brandon Carr's case got no billed at grand jury.

Maybe Schultz can give the whole department Friday afternoon off to spend with out families free of charge. That is a good use of taxpayers money. That's why Ray has cost us millions, because it is taxpayers money and not his. He doesn't care.

Heard that the interims just caved in and abandoned the Benevolent fund just like bought and paid for lapdogs. Meet the new boss, Same as teh old boss. Like we didn't know Tommy boy wouldn't do the chief's bidding. Meet the next two new Lieutenants. Does anyone have a spine in this city? Anyone?

What an embarassment the Cities leadership is to all Albuquerqians. Ws e need a new Mayor and Police chief. I am ashamed to say I voted for Berry. Never again.

Anonymous said...

Eye u were wrong. Weber and Henderson just sold out everyb34 out there!

Anonymous said...

The interims were picking the chiefs & mayors pubes out of their grills minutes after the emergency board meeting! Long live the association

Let Martinez get the nod from Romney, that would be sooooo great then all of these issues get national attention!!! She really needs to do a better job with who her friends are, from stupid Darren....a disgraced failure to her legal buddy Kennedy who's actions after his partner's murder are super suspicious from what I hear, Martinez won't get any nod as a VP!!!!

Anonymous said...

Who the hell are Weber and Henderson? I have never seen them around and they are Sergeants?? I guess they did like most of the Chiefs BOYS, only in the field 6 months. Then inside to study for Sergeant. Then up to the 5th floor to get brainwashed and then do the Chief a favor and then its no stopping them. Disgraceful....

We need to push this investigation and dont let Fred de-rail us. He is not a member. Nice move Chief give another cush spot inside to Flip. You better put up your umbrella and protect them. There are a lot of pissed off members and this won't pass till we see everyone who took free trips and made unauthorized purchases in cuffs. Even the girlfriend's.

APD Has higher standards than the courts... Only when it comes to everyone but himself and his co-conspirators! I guess when you are a police chief you can lie at arbitrations under oath. (PERJURY)You can illegally retaliate against, and harrass employees. You can lie at a deposition, then go back and modify your statement and all of the sudden remember something that you denied previously (because another witness just fingered you)just before the trial date, to avoid getting caught again lieing. (STILL A LIE, AND CRIME OF INTEGRITY) You can bold face lie to the media every time your face is in front of them. Plausible deniability and your idiots taking the fall for your sorry ass is coming to an end. This narcissistic clowns employment needs to come to an end and the Mayor needs to be a one term wonder.

Anonymous said...

You officer's need to make sure you do not let them stay. It is clear that they are not going to be there to protect you all. They are already lap dogs to the chief and mayor.

Anonymous said...

Weber and Henderson... AKA Abbott and Costello in their next act.... Who's on the 5th ... or ummm was that 11th floor????

I thought the APOA had a lawsuit against the Mayor and the city? Why on earth would those fools do a press statement from the mayor's living room?!? If those guys are gonna fold and suck up to Schultz and Berry over this issue they GOOD LUCK on them fighting over real issues. And Henderson is a known snitch to the chief....

Anonymous said...

The truth is some of the board members from APOA recommended these two guys. They are only interrim. At least they had the guts to step up. Who in the world would want to fill those shoes now. Give these guys some respect.

I dont agreee with the press conference but it happened now its time to get on the right track

I already see Schultz shoving the results of the audit under the rug. If there was criminal wrongdoing with the APOA's money Schultz will never let it see the light of day. Too bad the Department of Justice doesn't step in at this point. No one trusts the police administration and yet we can't seem to get the feds to help us out.

Dawn roberto for apoa president

Anonymous said...

Isn't it your Union? Vote someone else in. Management should not have any say in appointing someone. I'm confused. When is the vote for the new President? Fix the problem! Or will only a handful of officers even get involved. If more cared, Schultz we be gone, but they all sit idly by and complain. DO SOMETHING!

Anonymous said...

The APOA MUST make the results of the audit public. Transparency is the only way the public and the police officers will start trusting the police department, the chief and the APOA.

Will they make it public?

Anonymous said...

I think Flip got the Ops Review job and now will be the guy that gets to read THE EYE and report back to the 5th floor. The police work stops once one is on the 5th floor...

Anonymous said...

Schultz has nothing to do with the audit should not even see it. We as members of the union are paying for it and he needs to keep his nose outta it. You hear us Weber?

Anonymous said...

The Mayor is going to try and get the Union desertified. If this happens then the FOP should become the bargaining entity. The Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) is the subsidy of the APOA. APD decided 25 years ago to pull away from the FOP and start their own association. Its time again to let the FOP due to bargaining for APD. Much stronger police roots.

FOP is over 300,000 LEO strong nationwide. Get involved people.

First, I'd like to THANK ALL LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ON THE STREET for keeping our communities safe! You don't get thanked enough in social media for the hard work you do and we citizens do appreciate it!! Second, it is shameful that the Mayor and the Chief would support any notion, on any level, that Police Officer's get paid a "Bounty" for killing individuals?!? That is like the most absurd thing ever!!! This story should be sent to CNN, Anderson Cooper's "RIDICULIST" !! I think that in the split seconds that an Officer has to make that decision to pull the trigger and take a human life will undoubtedly stay with them for the rest of their life. As I understand, the City gives an Officer 3 days off and access to a counselor, what about his family-children-how are they supposed to cope??? I seriously doubt that giving that Officer $500 to help him and his family decompress and gear up for the undoubtedly social circus that will follow is a very small thing to be concerned about. Really APOA union members??? You can dis those that may have committed criminal acts within the union hall or on the board because they do give the unions a bad name, but not your fellow officers that receive that $500; check around the U.S and see how much this is going on. Third, as a voting-tax paying citizen and union member, I'd like to challenge Mayor Berry to strap on a bullet proof vest and ride along with the Officers he's dissing and patrol the streets to which he is Mayor to see first hand what the Officers go through on a daily basis before passing any kind of judgment!?! SHAME! SHAME! SHAME! Chief Schultz in forgetting where you came from and not supporting your Officers?!!! I think it is time for all those Politicians passing judgement, on any level, to ""PUT UP OR SHUT UP""

Anonymous said...

The FOP!? If members are concerned about giving into political factions then going with the FOP is the wrong solution. The APOA has survived for 25 years, even through tough times, and it will this time. Membership involvement is needed, as in the past. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water!

Weber isn't the issue so much as that rat fink Henderson. Yes Tommy we know you love tellin all you can to RayRay.

Funny, I hear Martin Smith has been on leave since the shooting and it exceeds the usual 3-days. If Martin needs then good for him but funny how this jacked up dept can't be honest about anything.....

If the rumors about the APOA missing money is true, every board member who took a Christmas bonus might be in violation of the law. If Joey and Felipe paid themselves more than permitted, I think that is called embezzlement. If the treasurer signed off on any of this there has to be a criminal violation. I see a number of APD / APOA officers in deep doo doo. When is the audit and who is doing it? We must make the findings public and we must make sure Schultz and company don't get anywhere near the investigation. This chief cannot be trusted.

Fat tommy boy is only concerned with himself. Sergeants are management. Management should not be running a union. It is a conflict of interest. They are already caving and making deals with shit boys # 1 and 2. How does a fat boy like that soup sandwich even call himself a cop? You can't even have pride in your appearance and maintain your physical ability to fight crime on the street because you never took the job to do that in the first place. Keep covering your nuts in the mayors office you self server. Flipper and penguin joey need to be in cuffs at the MDC for making a disco / pool hall out of the union and embezzling like thieves. The chief probably put them in those spots so they can have all the time they need to contrive, and conspire the cover up that is coming. Any other active cop would be on administrative leave under these allegations. Not two scumbags that back a criminals play against officers though. They get paid their bounty for treachery against officers and their families; a nice cushy assignment. Numbers are dwindling and these two backstabbing clown assholes get to pick their inside assignment. The state attorney general needs to head the probe into the misappropriated union funds. Someone needs to be brought before a grand jury. Enjoy your time off idiots. Hopefully you will have alot more free time on your hands behind bars. Take your shitbag hippie halfassed lawyer with you too. Bitches.

Anonymous said...

The Attorney General's office couldn't investigate itself out of a wet paper bag. They are the laughing stock of the state, plus they are so full of retired APD personnel that they can't be trusted. Nope this one needs to go to the NMSP or the Feds. Hey isn't this a good reason for the Department of Justice to start investigating?

Anybody else would be cleaning kennels..... Mo and Curly have their new chains jumping through hoops for them...

Let the stooges and their lawyer shemp enjoy things now because they are caught, and more is on the way. Lowlife, coward, dirty, spineless, two faced, honorless, boot licking, scabs. All of them. Their termite nest has been wacked. Let the termites settle in now. Orkin is coming. Maybe their chum will ofer them resignation in lieu of prosecution. No he only does that to his employees not his business partners. When the heat comes...And it's coming...they will see just how fast they all turn on eachother and their cohorts become witnesses against eachother when the lies fly and they start to get nailed. Everyone knows how quick the usual suspects fabricate lies and stories in an ATTEMPT to get out of trouble.

Anonymous said...

I heard that the chief was fired today, those two union crooks were indicted for embezzlement, the DC's were terminated for untruthfulness, and everyone involved in criminally tampering with investigations from the ranks of sergeant on up were put on administrative leave pending the outcome of a widespread corruption probe into the upper ranks of APD.

Then I realized it's April 1st and this is New Mexico. The most corrupt place this side of Juarez.
FOR NOW!

Anonymous said...

A petition to the governor demanding an effective police oversight board is a necessary step in clearing out the corruption in our police department. At this point no one is held responsible for their misdeeds. What we have is a culture of "psychopathy" (look it up on Wikipedia for an interesting read). It is insidious and will not end just because a handful of officials are canned or forced to resign.

Certainly there would be plenty of community support for correcting the problem on the state level. When we can hold these criminals responsible, the change will come.

Fire every APD employee and bring in the National Guard!

Thank you from a spouse of an officer! I know first hand the affect the social media has on the spouse and children. I should say the whole incident is an emotional roller coaster. Many times there is no support and we are not allowed to have a voice. The media forgets that they are not just dealing with adults but children as well. I also think the Mayor and Chief need to be much more considerate. So thank you again for recognizing that it is not easy and realizing there are more people are involved.

Anonymous said...

The chief be more considerate??? He doesn't have that DNA in his body. A NMSP cop told me their chief calls every 34 on their dept to personally wish them a happy birthday. Imagine that? Cold day in hell where you'd see any leadership, even on that small of a scale, show up in Apd. Brass is too busy climbing on the backs of 34s to look good for RayRay. Or blaming others for their own fuck ups. Look how utterly stupid Banks sounds in that depo. Wait 'till the next one, " have you ever been caught lying in a sworn statement mr banks?". Or "do you always start IA investigations when personnel in Apd are caught perjuring themselves mr Feist?". Good luck with shit fucknut.

Anonymous said...

Have you ever been caught lying?

Why No.

Another lie.

That's the way they do it.

Those two DCs are finished at any further arbitrations. They have proven that they frame officers through their investigations.

"...her legal buddy Kennedy who's actions after his partner's murder are super suspicious from what I hear," There is not a bit of truth to that. Kennedy & Han have always been in the business of making money. She was as cut throat as it gets... He did grieve over the SUICIDE of his friend. To raise suspicion is defamatory.

Anonymous said...

Funny how Darren White showed up at that scene as well and we all know how fucked up that incident was handled with the entire 5th floor there.
