The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. APOA's Former Jail Bird Sigala may have an entire Flock

Recently a former public official was indicted for federal crimes. The crimes this person was charged with involved federal corruptions charges where certain actions were granted, or inactions allowed to stand, in exchange for money, services, and tangible items. According to the charges, this person enjoyed the benefit of cell phones, travel, cash distributions, discounted business services, home improvement material, direct compensation to family members, and seemingly endless payments to reduce overhead. In exchange for these items, the person named in this indictment gave favorable contracts to others, supported certain actions at the expense of others, and manipulated entrusted funds to certain other entities.

While this all sounds like the scandal that has plagued the Albuquerque Police Officers Association, this in fact involves the former mayor of New Orleans: Ray Nagin. What stuns us, is that according to a very quiet local media report, former APOA President Joey Sigala seems to have evaded any charges stemming from the NM State Police investigation into his reported "activities" as the police union president. Our Eyes tell us all of the above items are exactly what occurred while he was in charge of the cash accounts of the APOA.

Given that he was subsequently arrested for domestic violence, and while those charges have since dropped, we have been told that the LEA Board is not considering revoking his peace officer certification. Notwithstanding all of this, there still remains the question of why he was in possession of a stated issued EBT card given all he was making as an APD officer and drawing over $25,000 in additional income as the police union president. The media also reported that the state's Attorney General's office is investigating whether or not fraud was committed to obtain the EBT card (Read it HERE)

Given all that has gone on between Sigala and Schultz we're sure there is something in play between the two. Either way, our Eyes tell us Sigala has been heard boasting about how his return to APD is assured.

But the details over Nagin's recent indictment don't just bear a resemblance to the purported activity by Sigala...they also seem strangely similar to what seems to be brewing in Santa Fe with Governor Susana Martinez. You see, another citizen who refuses to accept the hypocrisy and overt conduct of our two most powerful elected leaders (Berry and Martinez) either. Michael Corwin at the Independent Source PAC (Read it HERE) is awaiting public record documents from Martinez that detail how her husband and administration personnel went paid-for vacation trips to the same Louisiana people involved in the purchase of the ABQ Downs racino...the same facility that Darren White and Dan Mourning now operate. Yet despite a directive from the AG's office, Martinez refuses to release the public records sought by Corwin. Our Eyes also tell us that several cases concerning the denial of public records by the "transparent" Berry administration are already working their way through Bernalillo District court.

Could it be another case of birds of a feather flock together....Sigala, Schultz, Berry, Martinez, White, Mourning, Korn.......?

Well now, good job eye, you're getting closer.

Lets not forget the free golf (two times) that Joey paid for the lousy Chief to golf with him. Just because you have a credit card at your disposal doesn't mean you can go crazy with it. A reasonable person knows that the credit card was for Union Business only. Schultz is not Union Business.

The more information that comes out, the more i know the likes of schultz and sigala belong in prison. Scum bags.

Some justice better start happening around here real soon. I hear some folks are getting real antsy and itchy.

I have been watching the Bengazi hearing, specifically Hillary's opening diatribe, evasive skirting around every question, pointing the finger at others, claiming to be for the better cause, acting like she is totally cooperative and ready to provide all facts, while also acting like she is the one to be working together with congress to fix things and keep America safe with her heart warming fuzzy speech about how dedicated she is.
I could not help but be disgusted beyond belief by this spoon fed shit being tolerated by those conducting the questions. Has the world become such a bunch of cowards and passive aggressive types that they can't just instruct this woman to limit her bullshit, and narrowly answer the question asked? Why is it that so many people are afraid to call people out on their bullshit regardless of hurting their feelings? While watching this crap unfold, I noticed the undeniable similarities between this liar who bends words, and makes a play on context with every answer uttered, and the disgusting city attorney who is almost a clone of this person. From the playing of the victim when caught, and semantics to the dramatic use of the hands to give credence to crap. There are other sickening similarities. It must be a new trend these days when caught doing something unethical or wrong, to act like you are wrongfully being attacked, then accuse your accusers of attacking you wrongfully, crying about how there are bigger issues to deal with, then painting yourself and your cohorts (the real problem) as being the saviors and only solution to the havoc that is your fault, and that you've created, if not masterminded and orchestrated.

Maybe you can fool some people with distractions, delays, lies, and sentimental bullshit tugs at heart strings, but most are not having it.

If there is one person within the Department of Justice who has a sense of justice, and cares about what is right, they will work towards criminal and civil rights charges for the chief of police, his deputies, former and current, and their enabling, consultant of a lying, sanctioned, worthless city attorney. Enough is enough. These conspiritors have called in favors to maliciously prosecute, hide evidence, tamper with investigations, wreck lives, threatened people, intimidated witnesses, cover for murders and wrongful deaths, and they still walk around arrogantly conducting business as usual even with the DOJ standing in their living room.

If the punishment will fit the crime, there are a lot of people waiting to see the DOJ kick in the door that all these clowns are hiding behind on the 5th floor. And if a big electronic security door inside your own building doesn't tell you that these cowards are afraid of something, nothing does.

Hey Nate,
Don't be suprised when the feds give you a call in reference to officers getting slaps on the wrist for felonies while you seek total revocation on Schultz's pet cases for things that pale in comparison. There is no standard, and being someone's lackey isn't going to protect you from a federal probe.

Racketeering comes to mind.
Your burn phones, secret e-mail accounts, and business luncheons aren't going to cover your lying asses either.

Wow! What a pathetic selection of sergeants about to be be promoted!

If Sigala gets away with this, it proves that New Mexico is a lawless land of corrupt enablers who look the other way instead of having the guts to do what is right.

Put That little Crud UNDER the jail.

Im not sure this is the right venue, but I have a question and a comment. Ive noticed there is a motorcycle group That claim to be police officers. They wear vest with patches on them and call themselves los carnales. Are they really police officers? I ask because this past weekend I saw them at a local bar "Elliotts" and they were drinking like fish, whooping and hollering and exposing themselves. I also watched them get into their vehicles and on their motorcycles and drive away drunk without a worry whatsoever. who are these prople and if they really are police officers why aren't they behaving like police officers. Or are they considered above the law. sure I realize they must have been on their off duty time but would their dpolce departments allow them to act they way they did and to drive drunk and to bully others and expose themselves? My comment is no wonder the albuquerque police Department is in such disorder with police officers who are out of control, because if they are out of control while they are off duty then how can they be expect them to be in control off duty.. This is just an observation but as a regular citizen I am now understanding why The albuquerque Police Department is having such a difficult with their officers.

The ABQ PD is not having difficulty with their officers. They are having difficulty with their lying police chief, his deputies, and their city attorney who covers up their corruption. There you have it.

I have been with APD about 20 years, never herd of the biker group you just brought up. There is a national police biker group and they are not it. My guess is none of them you described are cops, this day and age and with the DOJ in town you would never find a group of cops acting like that in public unless they were Commanders or above. And we all know they lack the basic ability to ride, pick up or start a bike.

Last I knew Los Carnales was a state prison gang. Your police detection meter is way off......would you like to donate $100 to a guy down and out at Paseo and I-25, I am sure it won't go to drugs or booze, he said so.

Anonymous said...

Fuck those gangsters los carnalas! They are not APD and dont represent them. In fact the real APD arrested one of them a couple years ago at a roadblock and got him fired from the Bernalillo Police Dept. Ask the gang unit about them and they will tell you they are all wanna bees. Hope this clarifies things for you.

Yes LC is a group of retired or soon to retire punks. Here is a little info on them found right here on The Eye....these fools in this comment section are in denial. You know what they say about those personality traits that like to deflect and deny....not much different from their Chief I guess. Water seeks its own level.....

LC is retired/rehired/CO's that are strucutred like an OMG. They don't fit the definition of an OMG because as far as anyone knows they do not engage in criminal activity. Support it or not they can do what they want. It is America.

APD pOLICE OFFICERS. I like following your blog, because I see why we tax paying citizen of Albuquerque dont trust you. I would like to comment on the motorcycle club called Los Carnales. I am a Bandido and we see Los Carnales ridning around a lot. all they are to us are a bunch of drunks on motorcycles. So dont associate them with us. Sure there are cop motorcycle clubs around and we stay from each other because of the different interests and to be honest we have no need to bother them. Back to Los Carnales, when they first came into New Mexico form Texas we respected each other because we avoided them because they were a police motorcycle club, but now, everytime we see them we laugh because they and their drunk behavior makes us look good. At least when the public sees us they never see us drunk. Anyway, dont associate them with us they're not. They gripe about each other as bad as you other officers do on this blog. No wonder there is no respect from the public towards the Albuquerque Police Department you love airing your dirty laundry... I work and pay taxes, and as your employer im wanting you to appreciate your job and honor the trust the tax paying citizens place in you......

I agree with the "Bandido" post. I have met and talked with Bandidos and Los Carnales. Of the two groups, the Bandidos are more conscious of the way they act in public. Maybe it's because they know they are being watched by law enforcement or maybe they just have more respect for their club. To clarify if Los Carnales members are law enforcement, YES, they are. There is a Los Carnales prison gang. But the Los Carnales Motorcycle club and La Familia Motorcycle club known as "LCLF" are current law enforcement officers and the "La Familia" side are family members or supporters of the Los Carnales club. I have been around both groups in private and pubic functions. They are immature, drunk, wanna-be bikers who have no concept of the word "brotherhood". They sleep with their "brother's" wives and girlfriends, turn their backs on their brothers, and turn their heads to disgraceful acts by their members. They drink, drive and get rowdy in public places and talk trash about the Bandidos and other motorcycle clubs. Yet, they are willing to make "deals" with these clubs and have done so in the past. This club consists of current Albuquerque Police Officers, DA investigators, Albuquerque Airport Police, Metro Court Security and other Law Enforcment officials both retired and current. It's a disgrace to see the way this club behaves. As Law Enforcement Officals, they should be conducting themselves in a respectful law abiding manner both on and off duty. So to the Bandido in the earlier post; I agree Los Carnales and your club should not be compared. Although I do not agree with most of your club's ways, I do respect the pride you show while wearing your colors.

Been to a lotta bars seen a lotta behavior, in my opinion & experience I feel safer & more comfortable with the cops. To each their own, I guess.
