The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. SWAT Lieutenant Lopez gets Swatted; SWAT Commander Medina Remains Lost

As we reported earlier this year and more recently (Read it Here), APD's SWAT unit's tactical lieutenant Tim Lopez has been a little "erratic" in his behavior since his promotion. It seems Lopez and his tactless inexperienced commander Harold Medina have been thrust in over their heads with the responsibilities of one of the most scrutinized divisions in all of APD. While Lopez can't keep his anger in check with subordinates or his fingers out of crime scenes, Medina just doesn't know what's going on and is lost.

Numerous Eyes tell us that Lopez will be suspended for at least 160 hours without pay. It is still unclear whether Medina will face any discipline for failing to act when two of his officers were physically assaulted and threatened with retaliation by Lopez. It is also unclear whether Lopez will return to "leading" the SWAT unit or if the two officers who APD treated as suspects will be returned to the unit where they were victimized by Lopez.

Many of our Eyes expressed shock that Lopez wasn't simply terminated if not demoted for his unlawful actions. Our Eyes tell us that investigators from an "outside" agency were looking at the incident and for that reason Schultz had no choice but to do something. We at the Eye wonder if that "outside" agency is the big one here in town from Washington......

We know that Lopez has milked his position while the tactical commander of the Metro Division as he's enjoyed his horse rides in the arroyo (Read it Here) and has been a featured speaker detailing his and Medina's "extensive" knowledge of tactical operations (Read it Here) and crime scene "management."

While the local media finally did report that "something" was going on in APD's SWAT unit last October (Read it Here) we wonder what, if any, follow up there will be.

Given Schultz's perpetuation of APD's no comment policy (Read it Here) we extend a huge thanks to our Eyes for forwarding us this information. We now wonder how APD will make things right for Officers McFarlane and Arias after such an extensive ordeal.

Let's see where RayRay hides his little buddy....god forbid he goes to the field.

Lets see what Ray has his lawn knome Nate do at the LEA board to this Lt. They are stacking the deck against everyone that Schultz is desperately trying to bury to save his lying ass as we speak. Wait till that layer of the onion gets peeled.

Only the worst of the worst go to the field! God forbid he is punished that way!!! Can you tell i'm being a smart ass?

Its sad the field (streets) is considered punishment. Its punishment because they are so short staffed out here that no one wants to work that hard and would rather hide inside where there are minimal rules and accountability.

Inside you actually get to come in when you want, go home when you want, and take two hour lunches so you can do all your errands in your city provided vehicle with free gas, insurance and maintenance.

Dont believe me? Tempt me and i'll provide the media or god forbid RCI(they already know) with plenty of covertly recorded videos of this kind of non sense going on. So before you inside people try to debunk this with "only a couple on the dept do this" bla bla crap just be quiet cause I probably followed you too!

The fight is about numbers in the field. Please chiefs disband these worthless inside positions and boost the numbers in the field! We beg of you sirs!

I encourage everyone in the FSB to keep documentation of how short the FSB is in 34's. That includes openings for other positions, retirements, firings, etc. If someonthing should happen to a 34 in FSB due to manning levels, it will be available. Even the comments on this blog, even anonymous will help. If someone gets killed or seriously injuried the City should be held accountable.

It is my firm belief that FSB in one fine place to work if the superivsors are doing a good job. Everyone goijng for the rank of Sgt. needs 3-4 years on the streets. Lt.s ned to spend 2 years as Sgt before getting promoted and Lt's going to commander need another 2 years. Some will argue this is not correct but the field is where you learn to deal with personnel problems, the public and learn tactics. In my book you hide inside your entire carrer you are not really a cop. Now complain and whine if you must.

@2:09 & 4:08

Did Blackeye hit a sore spot? I bet you're the guy who drives his unit to Nutrishop for your supplements on Saturday morning, after stopping by Starbucks for a quick java. From your responses, you are either black-ballers with no integrity, or hypocrites?

I guess no one inside wanted to defend themselves from Blackeye? I wonder why? Looks like he or she has a valid point. I work inside the main from time to time and honestly the only ones I see at work religiously ON TIME (before 8)and believe it or NOT going home until AFTER 5 are the CHIEFS and their admin assistants! OPS people up there do their own thing as the rest of us do.

Now i'm not here to kiss up to them Chiefs cause no one will ever know who I am anyways. But I do believe they (chiefs) want to avoid exactly what BLACKEYE threatens to do, and that's to catch those inside types like myself going home early or coming in late or god forbid taking a two hour lunch. I refuse to be a hypocrite when it comes to my time at work claimed. I personally am honored to work "inside" and I would absolutely HATE to ever be back on the streets again.

So please Blackeye dont pick on me when you or those pesky RCI Investigators unleash your covert videos to the media. Im trying to be on time more often and keep my lunch to only one hour. As far as going home early my children need me home at a certain time so thats going to be a bit tougher but i can live with that for now.

@12:06

Thank you for showing some integrity! Your post is indicative of the "black-balling" that is prevalent in a chain of command type of environment such as APD. Thank you for owning the fact that this type of behavior can be abused. Misuse of government time and property. If LEO's can easily ignore the "right thing" when it comes to their time sheet and take home vehicles, then you know there is other questionable behavior by the likes of 2:09 and 4:08 who think they are entitled to do whatever they want to do because they wear a costume. In fact, their threats to Blackeye show what vial and disdain they have for a fellow Officer. Imagine the vial and disdain for the citizens that these two fools interact with? Get ready to start being called out LEO's. Personally, I carry the same lapel camera you guys carry and call you out any chance I get! I'm the guy signaling to you to get off your cell phone while you drive down 2nd st to the NV Sub. I'm the guy motioning with my hands for you to use your turn signal. Words from the wise APD if you want to gain some respect from the citizens...

Pull the wood beam out of your own eye before trying to pull the stye from the eyes of the citizens.

What are we 12?

Shut up or I'll get you in trouble hahahaha. So you spend your free time doing surveillance on Detectives? Sounds like you got passed over for a few spots. Let me make this as simply as possible. This is a blog, people are allowed to talk freely on this blog, you are a parasite trying to start trouble with in the rank and file. Please go get a hobby.....

Mark Johnson, polygraph, waa already caught shopping in his unmarked unit at the Wal Mart at coors by pass and Ellison a couple months back. He was there during the workweek at 2 pm in the afternoon. The mayors office was notified, as the complaintant stated he did not trust Schultz or IA to look into the matter.

What did Mayor Berry and his office do? Nothing. So there you go Blackeye, expose your information, name names and post dates and times. It will not matter to Berry and Schultz. They don't care.

Investigator from RCI is working with a KRQE news anchor as a snitch. Those videos will probably be released soon.

@ What are we 12....

Sounds like you are a detective... and it is true that Blackeye probably has been passed over for a detective spot... but I would bet money that you got your detective spot by who you know... not because you were the best candidate or most qualified. Blackeye is probably just fed up an angry with a departmen that has no integrity at all. The is no honor and the unethical behavior is prevalent.

So don't sit at your desk on your high horse and act like you are better than Blackeye because you are a "defective"... you just have the right friends or knee pads.

Who was the asshat in charge of the swat call tonight? ?? Whoever it was kinda sounded like Medina on the scanner. Guess he doesn't care that civilians listen in every now & then. I think he spoke to one officer in particular in a very degrading manner. Kept calling him out. Too bad ...whoever this person in charge is he sure made a bad impression ...can't believe he's in charge of a swat team!

Anonymous said...

Medina is clueless and isnt even aware he is. This make him dangerous. He thinks he is great, but isn't. He fits in well with the the rest of the command staff.

Could you imagine a critical incident taking place in Albuquerque, God forbid. These assholes can't find their fat asses with both hands, yet they act like experts. If the citizens only knew the kind of toolbags running things in APD, they would be horrified. As a matter of fact, they would pack up their families, and move to Iraq where they would be safer. Thank God we still have some great officers out there who do the job every day, despite an agency headed by a police chief who does not back them, and would wreck them in an instant for doing their job, be it his as or theirs. The IACP should mark this asshole the poster boy of what not to be as a leader, or how to be a non leader concerned with personal agenda and gain.
