The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Target’s is now on Berry

Berry promised the citizens of Albuquerque if he was elected, he would bring jobs to the Duke City. Well, that didn’t happen; actually Albuquerque now ranks as the number one city for job losses.  In the Northeast Heights where Saint Pius was once located has now been converted to a state of the art Target Super Center.  According to Channel 7 News (Read it HERE), Thousands of people applied for 200 new jobs at Target over the last three days in Northeast Albuquerque.”

This case simply shows that Berry has not done the job that we hired him to do.  People need to put food on the table, gas in the car and buy diapers. Seven thousand people applied for 200 jobs.  Does anybody out there have any idea the desperation these people are feeling?  Does anyone know what it is like to be hungry? Have creditors hounding you for money you do not have?
Two hundred people will have a job in a few weeks but the other thousands and thousands will be stuck trying to get by in life.  One of the worst thing about this problem is these people want to work; Mayor Berry has failed to bring those jobs to Albuquerque.  This is literally a crying shame.
Berry has created a mess. He has only existed as a mayor in name; in all actuality he never was a mayor other than in title.  We need to hold Berry accountable and vote him out. It’s time to get a person into the Mayor’s Office who will do the job as a mayor should.

Berry came in on a platform of "Not Chavez."

But in reality he is "More Chavez but less competant."

He has polarized and alienated his workers.

He has abandoned the city's economy to a fringe cabal of R's.

He has remained silent on huge issues and supported cronysim to the point where DOJ is here to unravel a failed police department.

He cannot claim success on any issue. If he ran his wife's construction company this way he'd be under indictment.

Really...so now the economy is his fault? Got nothing to do with your Marxist boy Obama I guess...

Here is another great job Berry has done. APD used to have over 1,100 officers. It now has 991. Here is the breakdown:

864 sworn officers
8 metro court security sworn
20 part time sworn rehires
99 full time sworn rehires

12% of APD are rehired officers who can and will quit whenever they have to do real police work again. What will Ray do then? Ray was warned many times to stop hiring so many rehires. Ray was warned to stop putting rehires in closet positions. Ray never listens. Ray is never held accountable. Take a look at where you tax dollars are going . In the next post is a full list of where sworn police officers are working. Look at the number of them that are doing jobs civilians should be in (and for a lot less money)

Current list of APD rehires. Just where are they hiding? Why are the majority not in FSB working as police officers, yet they are being paid the salary of a police officer?

Maybe 10-15 of those rehired are currently in the Firld where they belong. The others who the hell knows. Disband those lazy NiTe Dectives already.

Anonymous said...

@9:08...this is just dishonest...I know first hand that more than 50% of that list are assigned to schools as resource officers or DARE 34s. Are you suggesting we stop doing that?

Anonymous said...

How about disbanding the lazy auto theft unit who will be on TDY/ride-a-longs with the NiTe detectives for a whole month and half because their commander so unhappy with the them?

FSB 34 said...

Quit with the special consideration for rehires and open ALL positions to ALL 34s. Why should rehires get easy dayshift/weekend off slots. Many, if not most, on that list are good cops and are friends. But, and I've said this to many personally, they should not get anything that any other 34 shd be able to get. That's the problem with this place, nobody knows what the rules are bc Schultz keeps changing and making things up as situations arise.

Yes I am saying that since we don't have enough officers in FSB and since APS has their own police force we put the 30 or more rehires at schools back in the field. APS has their own police department so let them hire enough officers to staff their jurisdiction. If there was no APS police this would be a different issue, but there is APS Police so let them staff their schools.

Anyway, the complaints at my kids high school is the APD rehire is never around. I found him working out at Defined Fitness while on duty. He said he was at lunch, but it was during the school day and he was there when I got there and he was still there when I left. By the way I was off duty that day. I ran into two other rehired school officers at Dee's. Again on a school day and again, they were there when I walked in and they were still there 90 minutes later when I left (11:30 to 1) on a Thursday. This is abuse of the system and a waste of taxpayer money.

So if we still had 1100 officers I would say staff the schools, but we don't. Calls in FSB are at an all time high and no one is 10-8 to go answer them. So take all the rehires and put them ALL back in FSB until we get our staffing back up. I would beat 90 of these rehires would quit on the spot if they had to go be a real police officers again.

Anonymous said...

@11:18, I disagree...as far as school resource or DARE...I would rather have a retired rehire on that duty and a young 34 in FSB. Who would you rather have for 82?

Anonymous said...

Here is something for Alex Tomlin to ask.

Why won't Sheriff Houston give APD officers a Bernalillo County Commission card? BCSO has always done this for APD. Could it be that Sheriff Houston doesn't want to taint his department with the DOJ investigation that is going on at APD? Without the county commission card APD officers have no jurisidction outside of city limits. This has never happened before. Since Alex Tomlin is the only real reporter putting APD on the spot she needs to investigate this.

Most of these "rehires" have more time on after being rehired then most "regular" 34's have time on. Quit your bitching and go back to work. I've never heard so much damn sniveling in my life. They don't interfere with the regular bid process and they have experience up the ass. If you can last long enough to retire these days you might have earned it. Shut up and get your ass back to work.

another rehire scared of the inevitable!

Most of these rehires never did anything in the first 20 years they were on. The only reason they came back was because they didn't have to work as a "real" police officer to get "real" police officer pay.

Come on how can you defend paying retired cops a P1/c wage when all they do is work in plain clothes and wipe hard drives? Or the post above about the school resource retirees. Everyone knows those guys are never around.

Rehires collect their pay and tell everyone how they have so much experience and how we are lucky they are back. Well everyone else thinks they are full of shit. If they had so much experience they would have been hired by others and not begging to come back to the same department they bad mouthed for the first 20 years.

So do us all a favor, quit. Put your money where you mouth is and leave and lets see how bad we have it. We won't even notice you are gone because you are all in positions that should be done by civilians.

Oh and one other thing. I am calling every legislator and pressing them to support the PERA legislation. I want to see the rehires cry some more when they have their COLA's suspended.

Poor rehires life at Dee's cheesecake (making $27 and hour) is so hard. Boo hoo

@1:47...I'm calling bullshit on you man. Pete DeQuack is my kid's school resource / DARE / GREAT 34. The guy is there everyday, all day and even on Saturdays for Saturday school. The kids love him and so do the parents. It would be a complete waste to have a young 34 that could be kicking ass in the SE doing that job. There is a place for an older experienced guy...it's in the schools.

Anonymous said...

3:16

It's not Pete DeQuack.

"There is a place for older experienced guys" It's called retirement so younger people can have jobs.

I am calling bullshit on you. Put Pete back in the field taking calls and let APS Police staff the schools. Pete's badge and pay say "Albuquerque" not APS.

Hey I am on that long ass list someone posted and let me tell you I am NOT making P1/c pay. I am a hard working individual that is assigned to a part time position. There are MANY others on the list that are not full time sworn so before you go posting BS get your facts straight. I am doing a job that is appreciated by many of the officers I work with.. So go pound sand you ASS CLOWN...

Shame on you for having such an attitude of crap!!! A 34 is a 34, who cares if they are a rehire or a new hire. You are all blue. you all bleed the same. You should not slam each other. I would not want any of you to protect my family when you cant even protect each other. Shame on you!! You are the worst example of an officer that APD has. I know it is only a few officers that don't like the rehires but I'm glad they have a job and they are able to support their family. You have no idea how horriable and unprofessional you just made yourself.

Anonymous said...

5:23

Turn this Shame back on yourself. Blue is Blue, but when green (money and greed) is involved, the rehires could care less about the younger officers. The rehires have made a run for the money and the inside jobs and they don't care about any of the younger officers.

Rehires who are in closet jobs and inside positions have brought this on themselves. They do not have solidarity with the younger officers therefore they get what they deserve.

Shame on the greedy older officers, they were supposed to be better than this.

Here we go again chasing after the diversion. The topic was the Mayor and the Chief. Someone posts some names of rehires and suddenly everyone is distracted again. Before we go chasing this rehire conversation down the rabbit hole ask yourself who are you benefitted by being distracted?

Now, let's talk about the real story. There were 1,100 officers plus rehires. Now there are 864 sworn, including the Chief, all command staff, and all inside jobs. There's the real story. From 1100 to 862!

Anonymous said...

This is the first I heard of BCSO not giving APD commission cards. Are you sure you are not talking about the APS police Dept.

Look into this EYE

Anonymous said...

@618 is correct. Like each other or not, this MESS is the result of Schultz and perpetuated by Berry.

Anonymous said...

The FSB needs help with calls for service. That's why the rehires need to be stuck in the field where they belong. There are officers who have spent 5-10 years working the field and would love the break of the grind, which can be wearing on most. The point is we 34's in the field are getting the shit kicked out of us every night and NEED HELP! All we are faking for us fairness and I believe it's against policy for a rehire to be in a Detective position. We are not worried bout the SRO's, just the Detectives inside refusing to move along. FSB needs more Officers desperately.

Anonymous said...

I see no diversion at all! The post is about lack of jobs the Mayor has created. Well quess what? droves of Officers are leaving the department and we cant seem to get our numbers up at the APD either!

So WE MUST MAKE DO WITH WHAT WE HAVE! WE HAVE TONS OF REHIRES SCARED TO WORK THE STREETS HIDING INSIDE! Some one above just took it upon themselves to point out where we can supplement the patrol ranks on the streets. If the rehires don't want to work the streets let them quit! Who cares.

We have worked with far fewer Officers before, we can adapt without them. I personally would rather work with officers rehire or not that want to be in uniform helping out with the extreme call volume. Hey and its not even summer time! Hold on to your asses if they don't do some shuffling real soon. hahaha

Anonymous said...

Berry and Schultz have driven APD right over the cliff. They are now counting ever mouse that hangs out at the main station as a sworn officer just to hide the real numbers. Rumor is only one candidate has been approved for the 109th academy class and the current class only has 10 cadets. What the F**K are we supposed to do out in the field? I can't even get a vacation day now. They are not allowing anyone off. That is why we need the "experience" of the rehires to help taking calls in the field. I hope they make all 30 or 40 SRO's work FSB this summer and not that bs summer camp. The field is in dire straits and we need help from any sworn officer. So don't be scared, be a cop, that is what you are getting paid to do, isn't it?

Anonymous said...

Maybe Tasia should go back to FSB since she knows how to get shit done from all her "vast experience." But first please tell her to get rid of that hippy haircut.

Anonymous said...

"a 34 is a 34"..............give me a break. Let's be real there are many and it gets worse as you go up in rank that are nothing but protected species and get preferred treatment by Schultz while others get fucked for hardly any reason. I notice the rehires had no problem moving with an EOC complaint against the APOA.

Anonymous said...

Did we forget the one's in SID?? Tate,Martinez, Castillo,Rogers. Talk about hiding out......

Anonymous said...

K&I, Flying Star, Dee's, the list goes on and on. If these people spent as much time working as they did drinking coffee we wouldn't need any more 34s. YES, it is Shultz's fault. he is in charge and lets it continue to happen!

Anonymous said...

@ 7:35, please...they are no different than any other public employee protected by a public sector union. That's the real problem...the unions.

Anonymous said...

It should not matter if a re-hire is a SRO or not. IF the APOA contract says there are specific positions for them the contract needs to be followed.

Someone, maybe the President, needs to address this at the next APOA meeting. Maybe Mower needs to be involved.

Anonymous said...

The re-hires were not done fair. Go figure all of Schultz' boys got hired. If you were not one of the boys you didn't get hired. Everyone knows that it is no secret.

Anonymous said...

@7:35...just like most of the other problems that our city and nation face, people like you try to oversimplify a very complex problem by blaming unions. You have to be kidding. The APOA is weaker than it has ever been and many officers have been very publicly terminated.
You must have blinders on if you actually believe that unions are the only entity to blame.

Anonymous said...

Yea, involve mowrer so that he can sell them all down the river with the deals he cuts with Ray. If you need a lawyer and mowrer was the only one left, you would be better off putting a barrel in your mouth and pulling the trigger.

Anonymous said...

Hey Tasia, we FSB 34's don't need you speaking on our behalf. So stop. Take your fugly ass and get in a marked unit and come take some calls in the SE. You would be screaming on the air. All you scared Detectves we are calling you out. Get out of your closets and help in the field. And to the dumb video of a bum with a toy gun, if that's what we are teaching our cadets then god help us. Hey UNION why don't you do your jobs and stand up for us risking it all in the field.

Anonymous said...

Union stand up!?!?! Riiiiiight......push comes to shove Weber/PillowBoy fold like wet napkins.

Anonymous said...

Mower can file a PPC on behalf of the APOA. Of course, like everything, it will have to be monitored to ensure that it is not pushed aside. I don't know the status of other PPC's sometimes we get updated on them at the meetings and othertimes no mention of them.

Anonymous said...

I hear that most of you are unhappy with Schultz and Berry so instead of wining about it here do something about it. The two of them need to be replaced. There is an election that fixes this problem in 9 months. When the candidates finally finish lining up pick one and support him/her. We need to get someone else on the ballot and then tell the public to vote for him/her. Anyone who forms the ABB Measured Finance Committee has my $500 bucks and I will get petitions signed.

Anonymous said...

Status, like how the appeal for the lawsuit is pushed aside?

Anonymous said...

50% of the department (likely the same % of city employees) will not have any voice in the upcoming election because they live in Rio Rancho or the east mountains.

Anonymous said...

@ 10:28...who's problem is that? If you're not a tax payer and citizen of the city...you have no say.

To the crybabies in FSB. Take the call, smile, and write your fucken reports! It's a no-brainer so what's so fucken hard about that? Let me guess....the cold weather taking that accident report? Let the fat boy rant all he wants. He's going to lose his legal ass very shortly. The crunch is on for a whole lot of liars and top criminals, and when one falls, the rest will follow suit. And one will fall. It's in their nature. Someone will flip when caught and squawk like a mofo. It's all down the slippery slope then. Just sit back and watch it happen. It can't not happen.
