The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Berry Enterprises Suspended

Back in the good old pre-mayoral election days of 2009, there was quite a skirmish going on about R.J. Berry's income. It seems the soon to be elected mayor claimed approximately five sources of income. While the dominant percentage of income came from his wife's company, Cumbre Construction, and its minority granted preferential government contracts.  Mr. Berry also earned income from his own construction company, Berry Enterprises. While it may shock many of our readers to know that before he reaped the benefits of government subsidized business, Mr. Berry actually carried his own hammer and occasionally got splinters while working on job sites. In fact there are many former city employees and officials that remember Mr. Berry when he was looking for work. For those of you that forgot about the skirmish involving Mr. Berry's income here's a link to one of the many stories: (READ it ADMINISTRATIVELY REMOVED)

Our Eyes now tell us Mr. Berry appears to be washing his hands, for good, from his days as a contractor. You see his own company R.J. Berry Enterprises, Inc. has now folded and no longer holds a valid status with the State's Corporation Commission. With the company's certification in suspended status he may not legally operate the company. Not that this seems to matter for the mayor who has a healthy income from his position as Mayor, a city issued car, and his endless lack of accountability to the citizens for what can only be described as a failed administration. From public safety to employment everything is at the top of the list for worst job performance and effort.  Remember folks, since Berry came into power, Albuquerque now holds the Nation’s record for the MOST JOBS to leave a city in one year.

We wonder, if Mr. Berry is indeed going to take ownership of the mess he created in Albuquerque, why all the delay in declaring his candidacy? Does he want to be last at the table? What advantages does he see in this? Mr. Berry, you are, at least in title, the Mayor of the largest city in the state and a metropolitan area that covers almost half of the state's population. Assert your leadership (or is CAO Perry giving you campaign advise...be careful Mr. Mayor, Mr. Perry has never won an election) Mr. Berry, or perhaps do the honorable thing and step aside and take responsibility for your failures!  Allow a true leader with real leadership to  take over and clean up the disasters you have created.  You really owe the citizens of Albuquerque at least that much.

For some reason the link you provided has been blocked on ALL city networks. Go to the library and check it out.

The Eyes apologies. Apparently Berry or one of his cronies has corrupted the New Mexico Independent site link. We have administratively removed the link to protect you and your computer.

Well if and when Paul Heh announces his Mayoral run I hope it is as a Republican... I will be sure to get the word out to all my registered voter relatives which last time I counted totals over 300. I will be sure to have them tell their friends and if we get on the HEH bandwagon he will be our next Mayor... And maybe he will get to have 3 terms... Only thing Berry is good for is ribbon cuttings...

KOAT reporting DoJ subpoenaed hundreds of internal affairs files. There's only 800-1000 Officers. How many years are they pulling? Or does everyone just get subjected to IA at some point?
And why subpoena? B&S keep saying how we have an open door for DoJ. If they can have anything they want the only reason I can think to subpoena what you can already get is to use it in Court..... It's going to be an interesting site visit next week.

I was told yesterday that Berry told certain department heads that if he's re -elected he'll close libraries. Not all of them but certain ones. More peeps out of a job thanks to a berry bad idea!

2/7, 6:44,
You are seeing the direction that the DOJ is taking. They announced that they were looking into the Albuquerque Police Department's Internal Affairs Division, to see if the brass has too much of an influence in cases. Well, they did. As a matter of fact, they WILL see that not only did the APD 5th floor direct investigators to find fault with officers whom they wanted to either scapegoat, or whom they have a vindictive vendetta against, but that they also covered for their fair haired friends, or those connected in other investigations.
When they look into these cases and listen to the recorded interviews, (listening to the recordings is the key)they will lose their minds over just how many cases were handled with bias and a with directed mission from the 5th floor. The disparity in these cases is criminal. When they interview the sargeants and lieutenants who conducted investigations that were being directed behind the scenes by people like Feist and Schultz they will see the lies. I think the subpoenas are great. It shows that they are being methodical, and covering their bases. This is what needs to be done to catch these crooked malfeasant individuals, who have wrecked the lives of officers and citizens to protect themselves from the DOJ coming in and seeing their corruption. (THE REAL CORRUPTION). Another great issue with all of this is that if one of these investigators lies to the DOJ in order to cover for someone who gave them orders, they will face federal felony charges.
The fact of the matter is that individuals on teh 5th floor and investigators for APD have broken the law to get certain individulas who were innocent, while turning a blind eye to outright blatant corruption.

Back to the interview recordings: The DOJ needs to listen to all interview recordings to see just how the liars at APD disregard officer's statements in those interviews, and then write their reports in many instances to the contrary to what the officer stated.

How many times a year do we say anyone seen Ray lately? Has anyone bothered to cross check all the abscences to make sure he used leave while he was gone? That way he can't cash it out later!
