FINALLY; A CANDIDATE WHO CAN WIN! MEDIA RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
February 8, 2013
Contact: Paul Heh   (505) 459-5545

Paul Heh Announces Mayoral Candidacy
Albuquerque, NM— In the days of community-oriented policing, officers would often have “field briefings” in neighborhoods needing a strong presence of order. As a retired Senior Sergeant of the APD, Paul Heh will announce his candidacy for mayor with such a field briefing. But this time Paul will hold the briefing at the location of the epicenter of the City’s need for order: City Hall. Please join him and his supporters when he announces his candidacy this Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Noon!

Paul’s platform consists of a restoration to the basic pillars of sound government: Accountability, Efficiency, Effectiveness, Accessibility, Education, and Ownership. “The Berry administration abandoned these basic principles and we are all paying for it. We are paying for it as a city as we see the evidence of his mismanagement: From DOJ’s fully comprehensive investigation into APD, spiraling private sector job losses, stagnant economic growth, and growing city expenses while city employees retire as soon as they can. All of this in a region where other cities have been prospering.”

“Everywhere I go people tell me enough is enough. And I agree. Never have I ever seen such a lack ownership by those who are supposed to be our leaders. If the citizens see this, you can be sure that businesses see this. Having the state’s largest police department being investigated by the Feds is not something that attracts business or families. The Berry Administration’s unwillingness to own self-created problems and its avoidance of accepting responsibility is not something to model to our city’s children. Hiding when the lights get turned on exposing misconduct and cover ups is not conducive to restoring trust with our citizens.”

Paul Heh is a retired police sergeant with over 24 years of experience as an Albuquerque street cop and supervisor. Paul spent much of his career fighting drug crime and DWI offenders. He spent the majority of his career working the graveyard shift arresting thousands of offenders and helping tens of thousands of citizens. Then after work he was in court most of the day making sure justice was served. Paul is not a professional politician and knows first-hand the stresses families endure when faced with financial hardship or family members in crisis.

“I will bring to city hall what it needs most of all: honor and hard work. Enough is enough, we cannot move forward until we accept the reality that most of the problems now facing Albuquerque began on the 11th floor of city hall, and the 5th floor of APD’s main police station.”

WE HERE AT THE EYE ON ALBUQUERQUE ARE PLEASE WITH THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.  IF HEH IS ELECTED AND CLEANS UP THE CITY, THE QUILTY OF LIFE FOR ALL WILL GREATLY IMPROVE.

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A CANDIDATE LIST HIS PHONE NUMBER WHERE THE CITIZEN MAY ACTUALLY CALL HIM DIRECTLY?  IT'S NICE TO KNOW THERE IS STILL A DECENT CHOICE TO VOTE FOR IN THIS ELECTION!

The DOJ will clean up the Chief's cesspool. Now it's time for mayor Paul Heh to clean up RJ Berry's cesspool and Whore House, that which is the 11th floor.

Oh, by the way; regarding last night's KOAT segment; $44 MILLION in city settlements and lost law suits, and Perry, Berry & Sherry(Schultz) don't know jack shit about it?
WTF !!!!
Congrats to that reporter who brought this to light and threw that skunk on the table.
unfortunately she will be black balled by Ray and City hall from getting access to anymore stories. She should be proud though as not being one of the media whores.
While we're on the topic of sleeze;
Berry, WHERE ARE YOUR TAX RETURNS?
The public, after 4 years, still doesn't know? Did you pay any taxes.

As a citizen of Albuquerque I am interested in who possibly could be the next Mayor of Albuquerque. With that said, I have a few questions for Mr. Heh:

1.) What is your campaign platform?

2.) Exactly what are your plans for bringing jobs and industry to Albuquerque?

3.) What is your stance on the new minimum wage ordinance the voters just passed in October?

4.) Who will you appoint to Chief of Police?

5.) Who will you appoint to Fire Chief?

6.) Will you retain the Albuquerque 911 Emergency Communications Manager?

7.) Will you continue to pursue the Paseo Del Norte/ I 25 Interchange project?

8.) As Mayor, how will you go about reigning in lawsuits, and, or the amounts paid out by The City of Albuquerque?

9.) Who will you appoint to CAO?

10.) Your law enforcement background speaks for itself, what other qualities, education, or experience do possess that makes you qualified to be the Mayor of Albuquerque?

Thanks for your service and good luck in your endeavor!

If every 34 collected three signatures, Paul would have enough for public financing!

Rock on!!!! Take it to them Paul!!

Wonder how Berry is going to handle this one? Will the Repubs. give Paul money like they will for sure be lining Berry's pockets?

I am one proud Republican that will go with Senior Sgt. Paul Heh come election time.

$44 Million in payouts may be a lot of money, but seeing Perry half in the bag like he was here is priceless!!!

at 4:22....what was with that squinty thing he was doing?

Paul Heh bring it to them!

Bullshit... That prick RJB and Lil' Perry know exactly what amount has been paid out in settlements and lawsuits. They just don't want to provide specific information that just might give light or "transparency" to the unethical and illegal manner in wich they violated the various CBA's with city departments. Do they forget that they inflated the risk management budget by over 100% as well as padded other city budgets with the surplus monies that had been set aside to fund employee contracts. No vaseline for you assholes. The truth will all come out in time...

Anonymous said...

RJB, I certainly hope your, ummmm your wife's business finances are in order. So how much exactly did you, ummm your wife benefit from federal monies that were granted by way of "minority status" ?.?.?.

I voted for berry once, shame on him for being such a deceitful unethical POS like every other typical establishment politician. I vote for berry twice, NOT.... and niether will any other person that I know, so help me.

Everyone needs to get serious about PH running for Mayor. If you want a positivie change for the City; regardless of what division you work in, PH is your Mayor. We can't set behind the computer and pump him up, we need help, and need people to come to meetings. Its going to happen.

And for you the prince clown Mcclesky....go ahead and start your campaign against Paul...you will see an unconventional and asymmetrical effort against you, Berry, Schitlz, and Perry the likes of which I guarantee you've never seen. So bring it on.

I have known Paul Hey for many years. I did not always agree with him, but I do respect him. He is honest, speaks his mind, has integrity and is a man of his word. That is clearly the complete opposite of this City's current leadership and what is too common across this great Nation. It will be very difficult for him to win because he is not a Politition, but that does not mean he can't. After all, look how much RJ has accomplished and he was annointed by the powers that be just like DW and RS. We need a positive change in this city and I would love it to be a man of his word, how rare indeed.

True that 6:04....Paul doesn't have the big repub machine pumping out money and greasing the wheels for him.....this will be a "grassroots " campaign and every single city employee will need to back him, campaign for him and spread the word ..dig into their own pockets . Use 48 because current admin. Will be watching for city workers "campaigning on city time and property " to get us in trouble. Of course they do it but there's 2 sets of rules, one for us and one for them! Asshats!

There are about 6500 city employees, if just half of those sign and give $5 he will snag public finanincg for sure. Step up people, at the very least it will be money spent to push these criminals back.

This Mayoral election just got very interesting. Pete Dinelli has a newly retired AFD person heavily entrenched in his camp, surely, this person as well a couple of other current AFD employees have vested interest in Mr. Dinellis' success.

Mr. Heh will announce and you can bet he will have more than a few retired and current APD officers entrenched in his camp, for the same as the aforementioned AFD persons.

Mayor Berry most certainly will have a majority of his current appointees and those who've benefited the most under his 4 years as Mayor in his camp.

Public Safety and its employees are about to get pushed, pulled and divided from all angles.

Nothing will change for any of the honest frontline city employees who go to work everyday to just do their jobs. A majority of these city employees are not looking for choice 40 hour work week positions, not looking for key appointments, not looking for a promotion, they don't go out of their way to mess with other employees. A majority city of Albuquerque employees don't have lust, greed, and power on their minds.

Unfortunately, all 3 candidates for Mayor have these types of sycophants in their camps, if they don't yet, they will, as soon as the first round of data/public polling shows who the front runner is. No matter who wins, the loser will still be the average joes/janes city worker, who are not at all interested in the selfish ambitions of a couple/group of individuals.

Everything we have been complaining about, no fairness in testing process to include sgt and lt's will be fixed. The department will be fair and no more of this kiss ass attitude to get a position that you are more qualified than the buddy who got it. FINALLY

Anonymous said...

At 0832...Berry's ass kissers are the current status quo. Dinelli's are the has beens including former Apd commander Hudson etc. I'm not sure who's Heh's following outside of front line troops. It seems Heh is the obvious choice for frontline employees.

Anonymous said...

Paul, remember there is more to the city than just public saftey. Focing primarily on your career as a police officer and what you will do for public saftey won't get you far in a city where the general public is disenchanted with it.

Anonymous said...

I love the spin already coming. MOST of what Paul has spoken about isn't about public safety, its about fixing this fucked up town.

Anonymous said...

FYI Paul is knowledgeable about other City of Alb Departments. If you want to test his knowledge he is open to any debates and any questions at a public forum. Trust me he has his shit together.

Dinelli's people are Schultz promotions. You want the same old stuff going on now, vote for Dinelli. You go big man.

Make sure that the people that sign the petitions to get him on the ballot are registered to vote in the Albuquerque city limits. They put the name and address that is on their voter registration card or the city clerk won't count the signature. They don't have to belong to the Democratic nor Republican party to sign since this is a nonpartisan election. Public libraries are a great place to get signatures and five bucks, since most people that have a library card are registered voters. Although city hall will try to stop you from collecting signatures on city property which is illegal because you are exercising your first amendment right of free speech.
I did the min wage campaign and I was harassed by city hall for collecting signatures, which violated my first amendment right to petition a grievance with the government. One thing that I found out is that a lot of people that do work for the city a temporary workers that are paid min wage while the out of state contractor gets paid $12.50 per hour to hire these people. This means that $5.50 per hour or thousands of dollars are being sucked out Albuquerque economy and sent to an out of state contractor. This leaves the Albuquerque tax payer holding the bag to pay for food stamps and health care for these temporary employees that sometimes are on temporary status for years at the city. I think that this is a ripoff of the tax payers, because if these temporary workers were permanent employees and they were paid $12.50 per hour then the money would go back into the Albuquerque economy instead of some out of state contractor. This is one reason why city hall was against raising the min wage because they would have to pay the out of state temp agency contractor more money to rip us off. The other thing I found out was there is little support from city hall for the city employees and they are the lowest paid government employees in Albuquerque. They would make more money working for UNM, CNM or the county. I asked the public to name one great mayor of Albuquerque and no one could come up with any great mayor. The public is sick of the big fish in a dead pond that have been running this city for decades, so Hess might have a chance to win.
Be sure to vote for the 50% run off rule, since it might give Hess a better chance of winning in a runoff election. Just in case he splits the vote with Berry and Dinelli gets 40% of the vote. I looked at his page and he seems to know the problems that have plagued Albuquerque for decades and he has solutions. Good luck.

Most curious about how he plans to handle other departments a little bit off the radar. DMD for one. What happens to Riordan and Adams, etc..

This is the LAST change for real positive change at City Hall. RJ was supposed to be the great White hope, the great Republican hope, the great boy scout honest man. Bullshit ! "Oh, well he's a nice guy" Really !! First of all, is that a criteria for being elected? Second, no he's not a nice guy. He's just as deceitful and and crooked as his handlers.
He's just another political hack taking orders from McCleskey, White and Schultz. This is no leader but a phony ribbon cutting, 'Dirty Hole' skirt chaser just like Marty and all of the other predecessors before him.
Paul Heh is NO politician. Yes, Not a politician. He has a retirement, doesn't need a job, but wants to honestly and selflessly help the city he loves. He's not in it to scam money and kickbacks like the clowns in there now. HE IS AND WILL BE BEHOLDIN' TO NO ONE. That's the difference.
The person who asked the 12 question; Paul has an answer and a plan for everyone of them. Great questions. Maybe they should be posed to the current mayor with out being coached. He'll fail.

Anonymous said...

34's and Fire fighters; Paul garnered a huge amount of vote from you guys for RJ Berry. He was betrayed and he made apologies to you for it. You were duped by this mayor because he didn't and still doesn't have a mind of his own. Paul stuck his neck out for this guy . Mayor Berry pissed backwards on all of you, by retaining the Chief and appointing a fire chief against your wishes, he also made matters worse by appointing Darren
White to rule over you like Gingus Con. Berry owed him for bringing the Rep vote over, right after he betrayed Marty.
Now it's your chance to get even. VOTE FOR PAUL. He has ALWAYS BEEN IN YOUR CORNER AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE AS MAYOR.

So a canidate has to get registered voters signatures as well as money from each??? Where does that money go and what for?? I am new to this blog and have no idea why money would have to be given. Sounds a bit under handed to me.....

Anonymous said...

Schultz's daughter is a PSA on APD??? She has had nothing but easy spots since coming on.. She will continue to have inside slots until her DADDY is gone.. Then she will leave as well once she has no one to take care of her.. TYPICAL..

Chad Wilder said...

I went to Paul Heh's Mayoral Candacy Announcement. I saw about half a dozen officers there and about 30 other citizens to support him. Yes it was cold and windy, I was there, where were you??? The fact that hundreds if not thousands of supporters should have been there is a testiment to the horrible apathy facing our community. How many more negative "Awards" does our city have to earn before someone stands up and raises hell about it. Paul was there, where were you at noon? Paul does not have the organized and funded political machines the rest of these politicians will have. The fact is, he can win..if enough people stand up and demand more from their Leaders, City, Police and Fire Departments. What will it take for us to do something instead of sitting on the sidelines like we are so accustomed. The police union is in the shape it is because the members did not attend unless someone tried to take their cars away from them. This time it is not the police departments problem, it is the entire community's. This mess we voted ourselves into needs to be stopped before the good citizens of this city will need to protect themselves from the "wolves" in society. I am telling you all, APD is in a manning crisis. Ask why a policy of listing Officers who had retired, been terminated, resigned, or new hires was put out on a monthly basis. That ceased about June of 2012, when I first brought it up. Why did that stop? Because transparency would mean someone with a calculator would figure out we have less officers on the street than we did 18 years ago...wake up people and get involved, it is that crucial. I can't even vote for him and I am trying to do something. I have been outspoken because I truely care about APD and what happens to our community. Now its your turn to get involved.

Overheard Chief Breen knows Karen Fischer just as well as Schultz. Any truth to this?

The Pope announced that he is resigning. The church has been under fire for a while in reference to alot of things, and even the Pope can see when the writing is on the wall.

Not Ray Schultz. The ego on this worthless failure is amazing. When your career is over, and everyone around you is running for the hills, the smart thing to do would be to leave too. This guy thinks he is going to salvage his career and start over somewhere else, either wrecking another city or private entity. Not so fast. Hint: It's over, no police chief's career survives a DOJ probe. They don't come here unless there is something, and you are their something.

Anonymous said...

We should ask Connie Schultz how she was able to get Ray out of the house, then we can get him out of the 5th floor.

Paul Heh, I'm a former legal assistant to Mary Han, 1998-2001. Will you look into the issues surrounding her death or will you continue to allow these people get away with what she's done.

I hope he opens up all the closets, dumps all the desks opens, seizes all the cell phones, subpoenas ALL the emails between Perry and Kennedy and White and gives the FBI a Tiffany wrapped present ready for federal indictments.

Ms Rael....unless the FBI beats Heh to it, what happened to Mary will not go uninvestigated. It will be thoroughly looked at.
