The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. ....Now Breen Goes Too...

And with that, AFD's chief, James Breen gave notice to his department's employees. While there seemed to be a bit of reluctance in his letter, for better or worse, Breen provided a laundry list of things he's helped AFD accomplish during his tenure as chief. One of our Eyes offered this comment for Chief Breen:

"I am glad to see Chief Breen retire. It will soon be obvious to the rank and file that the next Chief will be just as bad. Proving that Mayor Berry and CAO Perry don't care about a good leaders reputation. They will continue to destroy Firefighter and Paramedic morale. Hopefully the next Chief will have the courage and integrity to support ABQ's Bravest Men and Women of the fire department!"

Despite whatever criticisms folks have regarding Breen, one thing that caught our Eye was a comment from somebody within APD:
"I couldn't help but notice Breen at least had the integrity and honesty to give notice to his employees unlike our former chief. With Schultz, he just sent a letter with homemade letterhead to his boss Rob Perry. He didn't talk much about what's gone on with APD under his "Leadership." And he obviously didn't talk about all the failures--especially with the DOJ here in the department's living room. I hear talk that Breen was pushed out. Well I think when you compare these two letters it's totally obvious Schultz was kicked out. Eye can you post a copy for us to see side by side?"

Of course we can....
Hmmmm........

Good riddance! Who's the next puppet?

The APOA does not speak for the officers. They are political sell outs. They sold out and have no integrity whatsoever. Morals is NOT up. You are liars. It's a shame when creeps put their own personal gain above those they are supposed to represent. It will be interesting to see where these scum bags land when they are done at the APOA.
What do you expect from people with piss poor reputations as cops. Piss poor!

Breen's letter reads in part:

"...(Gods) blessings have kept me on a purposeful path with humility, courage, honor, commitment, and integrity..."

Breen apparently does not know his own reputation among those he "lead" an has forgotten allot about what he did as Chief and how he actually treated people once he got the job.

Anonymous said...

Whoever is the next fire chief should remember that, while they went up the ranks, they benefited from all the things the union fought so hard for. Stand up for the ranks!

It's always the same when it comes to the APOA only the names have changed. And I thought getting Lopez in there was going to be a good thing. But it's just more of the same. So sad....

Just the fact that he is boasting on himself flies in the face of all he claims in this excerpt.

The city always gives AFD the budget leftovers after APD. And while the IAFF is a real union, the APOA is just another member of the 5th floor. deals have been cut kids, we're done for.

I'm a beat cop & I'll tell you my moral has gone up since Banks became chief. Schultz pandered to the media & gave out confidential info like he had no care in the world b4 investigations were even a day old! Banks is telling the media to go fuck themselves & WAIT for a proper investigation to be done. We don't even see that Klingon PIO on TV anymore talking like she's been around 30 plus years. Way to go Banks keep up the good work!

To 4:46,

Not true. Breen has given back hundreds of thousands of dollars each fiscal year. The monies go back to the general fund and Berry's slush fund. IAFF has to go to city council and ask for funding for training, pay, and capital improvements. In other words, taking back what Breen gave away. AFD has been slashed just like APD for Berry's agenda.
Keep hope. IAFF and APOA is watching the monies and winning litigation. Berry and Perry will be slapped with the mother of all judgements for public safety. And COA isn't going to be able to claim no money to pay out. Councilors are watching too, and getting pissed about no contracts. The crap is coming to an end. Everyone is bailing out and city hall is pleading for unions to negotiate now. Look at the bigger picture and keep up the good fight.

at 0919....way to step up now. Nothing but silence under Schultz but when it's safe to come out and cheer oorah for Banks here you come. Totally pathetic. Please don't 82 me because obviously you'll only be there after shit goes down. Banks as an IA lieutenant has personally fucked cop after cop when he didn't have to. He did that then, and he continues to do that now. Ask DR how her hearing went? Think the dept had just cause to fire her? No, but what do they care, they did so anyway. And really, every time he speaks it's that mumbling stutter step from a guy who can't even run a lap. Yeah morale is sooooooo much better.

Come on man. You are smarter than that. How many times have you seen people get promoted, then turn into complete and total flaming assholes? How many times have politicians said or done something to get what they want, or a desired outcome? This mayor and his administration will do anything, and paint any illusion to reach their goals. They are mindfucking you, and you are falling for it. Banks and the rest of them could have dissented from Schitbag Schultz a long time ago, but what did they do? They sat there idle, permitting the crimes that took place. That is just as bad. They are actively engineering Banks into the chief spot by having him play the hero role to the rank and file. No better way than to fraudulently win the hearts and minds of the street cops than to act like he is on their side and shut them up. It is all a load of horse shit. This is Psyops 101. Why do you think the media isn't making waves over all this tight lipped crap? It is going to take a lot more than Banks telling the media they can't have info. Undoing all of Schultz's lies and schemes is a real starting point. He is only doing what the mayor and his creep advisor lets him do. Don't be his fool. He is not standing on his own two feet calling for fair treatment, and an end to the corruption. And if he does, THAT will be another mind game approved by the Mayor in order to get his boy in as chief. Nothing is going to change until that entire fifth floor of Schultz disciples are swept out. It is a generation of poor culture that needs to end. Nothing will change until it does. Everyone needs to pull their heads out of their asses and quit having malfunctions with their long term memory. When you are the next flavor of the week it won't be "for he's a jolly good fellow" will it?!? Smarten up, and educate yourself. You are only as good as the day you put in to these fools. Even the standards. Banks was and is part of the problem.

If it weren't for the Klingon comment I would have thought you were one of them propping up their own guy.

The Tremendous Regulator said...

Hey Sylvio,
Keep giving them hell!
They are cowards.
They can't handle the truth.

They are so filthy that they can't comprehend the simple fact that all the people want is to be heard, treated fairly, and be told THE TRUTH. It's not hard, but they can't get it through their thick criminal selfish hypocritical skulls. The government and police department serves the people and the COA fails in this. They do the opposite and walk on the people.
They have to learn.
Relentlessness is the key.
You have more heart than any of them.

Your Friend,

My morale has also gone slightly up like the commenter above. Its good to see he's actively looking into disbanding some of the ridiculous, inside, useless positions. I heard some motormen, some SRO's, and some property crimes slugs may be joining the streets soon. But why stop there Chief Banks?

How bout the entire SWAT, Bombs & K9 teams? Every other department has these officers taking calls for service like everyone else & then responding to those "special" calls as needed (which isn't much).

Chief how bout turning the horses into elmers glue and putting those officers in Police cars full time instead of $60,000.00 unmarked pickups just to park them at the stables in a nice paved secluded area while the riders take turns looking at themselves in the mirror to see how they look in a cowboy hat?

Chief how bout taking another look at the special shoplifting squad that doesn't handle shoplifting's AKA (OCU)? Or the "night detectives" who work during the day watching monitors to see if anyone steals a strategically placed ACLU nightmare property item.

Oh and by the way, how bout sending the "hidden away" disgraced former APOA Vice President back to the streets to supervise some of these newly added officers?

That's a heck of a lot of officers I just freed up for you sir. Glad I could help. Lets see even more Officers morale go up by making this happen immediately?

I wait your chiefly decision, the streets and citizens we serve are watching.

with love,

a much appreciative field Officer

If banks was going to reorganize I think it would have already happened. It would be easy to do even if the CBA and FSLA was followed. The Valley Area Command is short and Middelton is trying to do 34s even more than ever. Looks like he is trying to get promoted.

If Banks makes any of those inside double dippers (SRO's and Hit and Run etc) go back to the field and actually work you will see even more officers leave APD. These retired rehires will not do real police work. They will quit. Making the number of officers leaving APD in the next month skyrocket to almost 100. Thanks Schultz you were warned about the rehire program now we are the ones stuck. Cops who don't want to be cops but want to be paid cop wages. APD could easily drop to 800 officers if Banks makes these rehires go back to the field.

Anonymous said...

If APD had cops that want to be cops there would only be about 50. The rest of the silent pussies would be running for the hills. A real cop stands up for what is right no matter what pussy is in charge.

Anonymous said...

Most Rehires out in the field work harder than a lot of younger 34s. They don't complain and they just get the job done. They dont take an hour to get to a call pull a case number while they are half way there and stay logged on the call another two hours. They don't jump every priority 1 down and out and take those 27-0 27-6 and what ever other call those younger officers are too cool to take. For the person complaining about Rob Middleton if someone is getting "done" by him it's probably because they couldn't handle being treated as an adult and being responsibile for themselves and screwed up.

Anonymous said...

Wow so headlines say Berry is giving senior 34s a retention bonus! DOES ANYONE OUT THERE BELIEVE HIM????

Anonymous said...

Please don't turn the horses into glue chief! Let them wander the north pueblos land peacefully. That info is just plain ruthless!

Anonymous said...

Rehires who work??????? Please show me where. The ones that are SRO's I see more often at Dee's that at their schools. Most rehires are in inside positions because they DON'T WANT TO BE IN THE FIELD.

Those rehires who are in the field I appreciate you. The rest are a bunch of lazy slugs taking a paycheck for doing nothing.

Anonymous said...

There's only like 12 SRO's anymore anyways, all but two of which are rehires.

They are talking tough that if they are sent to the field they would rather quit! LMFAO!!!

One or two will quit but then they will just add two more to the field from the bottom of the SRO list until they are at the top of the list where there are SRO's who have never worked the streets and have 18 & 19 years on anyways. Then those two will retire. Leaving NO(0) SRO's! And guess who cares??? No One! APD shouldn't be patrolling APS's jurisdiction anyways. Let APS- POLICE police themselves for once!

APS likes to do their own thing anyways as evidenced in the Jefferson Mid school road fiasco.

McPeek, Edison and Munoz...more clowns in costumes! Or just scared little pussies that have never boxed in the playground? Where is that gun? LMAO! All you phuks are a joke! APD = the laughing stock of LEA in the Southwest US of Corporate America!

Anonymous said...

Perry is being more than gracious, offering you clowns any raise whatsoever! If raises were dependent on job performance, APD clowns in costumes would be in a deficit as far as their hourly wage. It's this simple you uniontards...poor job performance = no raise. Good job performance = reward. I know that logic is complicated for you bottom feeders.

Anonymous said...

The rehire 34 that works at Coronado Mall sure does bust his ass..... Enough said.... The retention bonus needs to be put on hold until the ENTIRE department gets a raise.

Anonymous said...

What??? Berry is giving senior 34's a retention bonus???
What a slap in the face to apd clerical.

Just what is it with APD and child molestors? Now we have a retired APD officer who is the best friend of a guy convicted of Incest. "Although he also has a 1977 conviction for incest – a charge Elliott says is the wrongful result of a vicious divorce" Wow I wonder if the APD officer spoke to the incest victim to get her side of the story. This just makes me sick. I never want APD coming to help my kids.

Anonymous said...

I thought this story was about Breen?

Anonymous said...

Question motive.
When ANYONE on the 5th or 11th floors appears to be doing something that "appears" to make them look like they have fortitude it is only a hollow "appearance" of what it "appears" to be because the rat fink motherfuckers running APD love nothing more than "appearance" and illusion because there is nothing else behind them but THAT, what they want it to appear to be. So whenever you hear them say "it appears to be", just substitute that phrase with (insert lie here)!
Got it?

Anonymous said...

It is getting harder to tell the criminals from the cops in this town.

Child porn in an APD patrol car, incest is a product of a nasty divorce, several APD affairs ended in the "suicide" of the female involved......

It goes on and on. APD has a sickness.

I love how it takes five days to confirm what everybody has been saying...shithead had no gun on Sunday. Now it just looks like the story is being gamed by not commenting on it and hoping it will go away. With RayRay he couldn't hold props fast enough, with AllenAllen he doesn't know what to do. Gee Banks isn't an ommission of action as bad as lying??? Seems like I saw a lot of cops get hemmed up by you because they "ommitted" facts or were "unforthcoming" with information they knew. Fired! Just Fire him!

Anonymous said...

Who is Breen?

Anonymous said...

Yup, Banks had to hedge on the question all week…His crew of fixers had to think of every way they could get away with putting a gun in the guys hand first before he would have to admit the truth…
Yup, the A-TEAM has left the building…..sorry Allen.

10:33 - should this site be eye on apd instead?

Anonymous said...

1033...interesting point, but why is it the IAFF is strong whereas the APOA is weak?

Anonymous said...

4:37 pm

Because the APOA is ruin by worthless lazy cops, who do what they are told by their boss..... How can you expect to win when you are told to shut up or you will get fired for insubordination......you have no idea how dirty APD Administration is. Speak up and get ready to be fired!! Then when you appeal hope the hearing officer isn't worked about losing his/her contract for doing in your favor. Retirement is bliss :-)

Anonymous said...

4:37...probably because of more participation from rank and file towards giving their board direction and strategy. On this blog I constantly read about officers saying the APOA doesn't speak for them. The point is that the APOA IS the officers. They are one and the same! Officers, show up to meetings and take others with you that are like minded and speak up thru the APOA's set procedures. Nothing will change unless YOU change it. Strength in numbers fellas, it's not rocket science.

12/6..10:33. Really? Seriously. "The Teacher's Union is a bunch of women that bitch and bitch but don't do anything about it". I think bitching is doing something about it and if nothing changes, I would bet it's their administration who is fighting them that isn't doing anything. I won't even comment further on your old school sexist remark.

12/6 10:33pm - this blog has ALWAYS been a crybaby site for cops. Always bitching, whining, threatening, strutting their talk, always anonymous.

Hey shit for brains.....anonymous because you are not allowed to speak your mind as an APD police officer thanks to the Schultz created social media policy....we are not allowed to speak badly about or corrupt and ill equipped leaders! Stop coming on this site and you stop complaining!!! And list your name while you are at it!!!!

Anonymous said...

9:57pm-If you became an officer AFTER Schultz put out his social media dictates, I apologize. It is clear that you must protect your identity. However, it is also clear that "anonymous" has been used by many of your chickenshit brethren to post whining, pissing and moaning since way back before Schultzie tried to cover his ass with his social media clampdown. It is what it is.

Anonymous said...

Cops can't vent to anyone, just like the rest of the city employees! I mean, don't you get it 12/8 5:58?? The administration is responsible for the paranoia and anonymous posting here! Myself? I don't trust most of my co-workers, especially the newbies who are always asking weird questions like "what do you think of the Mayor" or "do you like the Director of the ______"???? (Fill in Department). STFU...the city is trying it's hardest to make it "uncomfortable" for those of us who are closing in on retirement. It is so obvious that they want us gone just before the time we are ready for full pension benefits! Fuck you Department heads, managers, ads-licking supervisors! I'm anonymous, always will be and BTW FUCK MAYOR PERRY!!! Yes, he's the one pulling the strings here...asswipe!!

Anonymous said...

Only 19% of registered voters showed up vote in the Mayors race. Yet the fire fighters union got out and not only voted but put up thousands of dollars in TV ads and signs and went door to door for their candidate and were seen on street corners holding signs. Where were the cops? No where to be seen nor heard. APOA did not even endorse one of their own for Mayor. So much was at stake, but rank and file cops just complained on this web site and did absolutely nothing to defeat Berry. Lets see how many show up to vote for or against the contract.

Anonymous said...

Maybe the cops just don't care anymore. I know a lot of co-workers that just don't get it or if they do get what's happening they have a very nonchalant attitude towards admins. Because they think if they keep their mouths shut and work hard they'll get promoted and not have to deal with nasty union stuff!

You have that absolutely right. The city administration threatens all arbitrating hearing officers with termination of their contracts if they do not side for the city in their wrongful terminations.
