The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. It's Not Just Unethical, It's Unlawful

Last night, KRQE reported what many of our Eyes have been saying for a bit, that disgraced former APD chief Raymond Schultz is now working for a former city vendor: Taser International.

In the interview (see it here: http://krqe.com/2014/02/28/ex-apd-chiefs-new-gig-is-with-taser/) Schultz, confirms that he started working with Taser in October of last year "after he retired." Schultz also makes the curious statement, "I’m not in sales. I just talk about lessons learned and it’s up to individual agencies to decide what they want to do."

Please, quit with the word mincing Mr. Schultz. We all know your effective date where you no longer were on the city payroll was this past January, so this notion of you having retired in October is a lie. And really? If you're helping agencies make decision based off of your "lessons learned" then your helping Taser with their sales. We all know that the second your talks result in a lost sale by Taser you'll be kicked to the curb.

But none of this surprises us from a former employee that did nothing but cost the taxpayers millions in unnecessary judgements, ruin lives of good officers, destroy a once great department, be an active conspirator and perpetrator in civil rights violations of your own employees, and participate in endless criminal coverups.

What we want to know is will city council step up and demand enforcement of it's own ordinances REGARDLESS who the violator is. You see, the city has these as its ordinances:

§ 3-3-7  CONFLICTS OF INTEREST; FORMER EMPLOYEES.
   (A)   A former employee shall not within one year after the date of termination from employment represent any person or business in connection with a matter in which the former employee has performed an official act, unless the Chief Administrative Officer consents to such representation. No person or business with which a former employee is associated may knowingly undertake or continue a private representation in such a matter unless:
      (1)   The disqualified former employee is screened from participation in the matter and is apportioned no part of the compensation therefrom; and
      (2)   Written notice is promptly given to the Chief Administrative Officer.
   (B)   Nothing in this section shall prohibit a former employee from entering into a contract to represent the city in any matter.
§ 3-3-6  CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION.
No employee or former employee shall disclose or use confidential information acquired by virtue of his or her municipal employment or office without prior written approval of the Chief Administrative Officer.  Nothing in this subsection shall prohibit a former employee from entering into a contract to represent the city in a confidential capacity.
§ 1-1-99  GENERAL PENALTY.
Any person who violates any provision of this code for which another penalty is not specifically provided shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine not exceeding $500 or by imprisonment not exceeding 90 days or both unless a different specific penalty is provided.  Each separate violation shall constitute a separate offense and, upon conviction, each day of violation shall constitute a separate offense.
The way we see this, Mr. Schultz has violated the ordinance at least 120 times....
Are you going to represent us counselors? Or are you going to show all of us how there are two standards......

UPDATE: A quick thanks to one of our Eyes for providing us with a copy of Schultz's exit paperwork confirming his retirement was in January 2014.

The District Attorney, New Mexico Attorney General, Citizen groups, Department of Justice, ALL OF US, need to demand that Schultz be prosecuted.

Give him his day in court regarding this issue. By the way since he was working for Taser in October (prior to his retirement in January) I think there is another violation as he was not a former employee, but a current employee who was working for a city vendor.

The time has come for all of us to demand action. Call your city counselors. Call Kari Brandenburg. Call Gary King. Call Richard Berry. Call the Department of Justice. Demand that they enforce the law and prosecute this offense.

Kari Brandenburg 505 222 1099

Gary King 505 827 6000

Richard Berry 505 768 3000

City Council (email all via this link http://www.cabq.gov/council/councilors/contact-all-councilors

Department of Justice 505 346 7274

Albuquerque it is time to demand accountability from our elected officials. Stand up and let your voice be heard. Demand that charges be filed regarding Ray Schultz being hired by Taser prior to his retirement and continueing his employment with Taser less than one year after he retired. The law is clear. Will this wake this town up? Make the call!

Listening to this lying, downplaying fool brings us back to the days when we asked what is "is" and is a blowjob really sex. If anyone believes a word this fool utters by now, they need an operation. This guy lies fabricates, downplays, mitigates, shifts blame, splits hairs, minces words, plays the shell game and thinks that everyone is stupid while he is doing this. The only stupid one is him for thinking he is fooling anyone. To see this asshole get caught with his hand in the cookie jar time after time, and continue with the old "what cookie jar" bullshit is pathetic. Get a new shtick Ray. The "I'm just an innocent guy" shit is old. Everyone is hip to your game mister hint hint wink wink. You have fucked this place up along with countless lives over your lies, nature at play and your pockets. It's all about Ray, and everyone knows that now.

This spineless water balloon has used this department and city to line his pockets and his friend's pockets through the abuse of his influence during his whole career.

There is no coincidence that this liar came up through APD during the same era of all the other filth involved in the murder and covered up investigation of that poor girl back in the 80's on Lomas. That case brings up strong evidence of corruption and covering up for high ranking officials. The same holds true today with the Mary Han case. You see, the common denominator with these scum is that they find a gimmick and stick to it. They never change up because once they get away with it once, they think they can use the same scheme forever. This is what they do.
Lie. Get caught. Lie some more. Make counter accusations. Act the victim. When that doesn't work, get angry and attack those making accusations against you. Spare nobody while doing this. Bully old folks, insult women, even blame the victims if you have to.
Get your cohorts on board by getting your stories, oops..... I mean lies strait. Hint to your subordinates that this is what you really saw, and this is what really went down...Right? Then use your contacts in the media who also have unethical contracts with the city
et aliae, Waltz's lawyer brother over at the Journal / Urinal to disseminate your unabridged lies omissions and fabrications to the citizens. All the while, co-conspiring and consulting with a filthy, corrupt city attorney known for her dirty courtroom tricks of lying, purposefully delaying without excuse, omitting facts, permitting perjury and case tampering, violating rules of sequestration, misquoting and misrepresenting case law on how to procedurally cover up your crimes and get away with what you all have done all for ONE PERSON... Raymond D. Schultz.

They say to quit while you are ahead. Either Ray wasn't ever ahead, or he is too stupid to know that every time he continues to open his mouth, he confirms another lie.

Maybe his personal attorney Levy can start a private practice to continue to defend and run interference for him.

Now Ms Marie Sanez is double dipping the same way as Johanna Hammond, Diana and Karen Fisher were.

Can't the new Chief fix his own problems or is the Mayor going to need to hire someone in every division the show the new chief how to do his job! Remember, the new chief has never been a real cop. What a waste on money.

Marie was not respected when she was here and will not be respected on her return as she tries to show the new chief how to do his job!

Folks if the last reports this week don't fire you up nothing will. We have chance to make a difference. Please forward the link to the Eye, KRQE and the phone numbers to everyone you know. Ask them to take a moment and to call and email these people. Start taking back our city. Corruption is corruption. The citizens of Albuquerque need to demand better from their elected leaders. This is our chance.

By the way Taser also bears responsibility here for violating city ordinance. They can be contacted here:

http://www.taser.com/support/contact-us

Demand that Taser immediatley terminate Ray Schultz until he has been gone an entire year, as per city ordinance. If they refuse then call the mayor and city council and demand that the $2,000,000 Taser contract with Albuquerque be suspended.

Corruption is corruption and the only way these folks get it is to yell loud and clear and hit them in their pocketbook.

Sisi Saens Miranda, oh right. Former best pal of Marty Chavez and Bill Richardson. Is Sisi "Marie" telling all about her 18month long stint as deputy secretary of DPS? Pure cronyism for favors she did with Chavez and Richardson. And how bout her two lawsuits against the city? And how she betrays people until oh yeah, she needs money to run for sheriff. So yet another brilliant choice Berry and Perry. And won't Taser International love all the lawsuits they'll get hit with as soon as plaintiffs find out Ray Schultz is in the mix!!!! Can't make this up!!

If he was still a city employee at the time then he needs to be prosecuted and sued for the City pay during that time. After all that is what he did to the guy at the City selling jerseys on City time and that wasn't even a City vendor

Why is no one, including the Eye, not objecting to Greg Fouratt being appointed as head of the state Department of Public Safety?? The appearance stinks to high heavens to say the least and the appoint is nothing but politics at its worst. Are there any federal conflict laws being violated with the appointment of Greg Fouratt? Fouratt worked in the United States Attorney office for 17 years and was head of the criminal division and has always been a GOP operative behind the scenes and going after prominent Democrats to make a name for himself. The FBI by published news reports is still investigating the Dirty Downs Racino deal signed off by McClusky and Susana Martinez. The US Attorney is also prosecuting Jamie Estrada for the Governors email thefts. The DOJ investigation of APD continues and Fouratt had a working relationship with Ray Schultz. Fouratt's appointment would have never been approved by Jay McClusky unless he got something in return. The question is what information has Greg Fouratt shared with McClusky on pending matters within the US Attorneys office involving the City or the State? Prediction: the GOP nominee for AG will drop out of the race after the primary and Greg Fouratt will be named by the Republican party to take on Hector Balderas for Attorney General. The Governor does not want an ambitious AG like Balderas to ruin her national hopes and ambitions. Fouratt would stand a better chance against Balderas than the very weak candidate the Republicans have now.

Sisi was worthless and lazy when she was at APD and now Berry/Perry bring her back on contract after they got rid of the Hammond, Padilla and Fischer for being on contract. These guys don't know the meaning of illegaly bringing back PERA employees..

Maranda was run out of Santa Fe because she was wothless and lazy! Richardson had to beg Marty to take her back. She also sold us down the river on APD's lunch time lawsuit and then makes number 1 on her promotion list. She's very good friends with Perry who gave her this job!

What a joke that they bring in a lazy slug like that to help Eden who has not clue how to fix anything on APD!

God help us all!

Agreed. And really when she took a piss in public on that trip to Vegas.....classy as hell

Looks like Schultz has violated an ordnance which is a crime. Schultz breaking the law????? Looks like business as usual there! Looks like Roberto Perry is in the hook too. I wonder if they will be back dating memorandums and shredding files. And why is Schultz giving interviews with APD facilities in the background. He should be giving them at his house.... He is Mister Schultz now. Oops, that's right, he doesn't have one.

Anonymous said...

They hired Sisi Miranda, you've got to be kidding me! She's as worthless as they come! That really shows how desperate they are to hire her. I agree also, what a frickin joke they are making of APD!

Anonymous said...

How pathetic to hire Sisi on contract. She was a lazy POS when she worked for the state. Richardson had to let her go because she was so very lazy. He got the city/Chavez to take her back and gave Chavez's wife a job to get Sisi out of the State job! Now Perry hired her, what a dufuss! You think APD has trouble now, wait until she comes back!

Anonymous said...

SiSi has never had class get a few drinks in her and she drops her pants while on the Las Vega strip and pees. Talk about embarrassing for all those with her, we all just kept walking. She was always pulling stunts like that, and if you questioned her she would pull the female Hispanic card out. This task force she is spearheading is a joke just like the recent search for a new chief. All smoke and mirrors.

Anonymous said...

Fouratt was making about $180,000 a year as a US Attorney and will now be paid $125,000 as head of Public Safety. No one in the media has asked why would he take the job with such a pay cut? Attaching his star to Susana and McClusky smells of an attempt to build his state wide resume to run for state wide office, perhaps AG in four years or against Heinrick in four.

Ms. Miranda was my teacher and helped me get a city job. She is the best teacher I had and it makes me mad to read this stuff from people who didn't know her. She left APD because of the corruption and has been gone since 2008, that's 5 years! She is a good honest Person that cares about children. She is a hard worker and has several jobs, she has contracts all over, even Mexico. She is a proud Hispanic women, you white men that are hiding behind this blog are afraid of her.

What is wrong with the poster that hates all women, I have been reading this blog for a long time and the same poster hates DC Beth Paiz, Commander Marie Miranda, Sgt. Trish Hoffman, Commander Rae Mason, Commander Dotti Camacho, President Stephanie Lopez, PIO Tasia Martinez, etc. All of these women are well respected in the community, all achieved rank or positions of power, so it seems like this insecure poster is threatened by women who excel. Figures, you probably have impotency issues.

@11:57 the reason no one is paying attention to what is happening at the State level is because they are too occupied re-living the Glory days of wild sex parties and pissing in public while on a Vegas trip 20 years ago. Goes to show you their level of thinking, more concerned about what happened 20 years ago than what is right in front of their faces. Pathetic, very pathetic that that trumps the corruption at the State level.

KRQE is reporting that ex APD Chief Ray Schultz has admitted to working for Taser while he was still on the city payroll. Schultz was on early retirement from September to December 2013. This means he was on sick and vacation time but he is still a city employee receiving a biweekly city paycheck. All rules and laws still apply to him. Schultz admitted he started working for Taser in October 2013, while still receiving a city paycheck. This violates city ordinance. It also violates the ordinance that states Schultz is prohibited from working for a city vendor within 12 months of actual retirement. And to add insult to injury in summer 2013 Schultz signed a city contract with Taser, the largest in city history at $1,900,000! This reeks of kickbacks and Schultz admitted he is violating city ordinance. We need a grassroots effort to demand a criminal investigation and to demand that the city council and Mayor Berry suspend the Taser contract. I am sick and tired of the laws only applying to the little people. Schultz confessed to KRQE that he is violating the law. Schultz should be prosecuted and the Taser contract suspended.

Do nothing on Monday and allow the corruption to continue. Or you can pick up the phone and call the city council, richard berry, the DoJ, Kari Brandenburg and Taser and demand action.

This is our chance to start taking back our city. Do any of you have the courage to act?

Sisi sold us out on the APD lunch time lawsuit! Every other LE agency got thousands of dollars and APD Officers only got a few hundred. Sisi did make number 1 on the next promotional list though. However, before that was towards the end of the Sgt's list after failing twice before. Why such a big change????? I remember when her and her husband Keith got into that big bar fight at a Westside night club and Sisi hit the bouncer with a broken beer glass and ripped open his cheek! I think they did an IA on it and covered it up. Sisi and Keith were a couple of losers. They ended up firing Keith.

Her contact is just a political payback. She was extremely lazy as a cop, but a wild party girl!

During a break or after the meeting was over, I can't remember which, the Commisoners were talking to him and he admitted UNMPD gave up on these cameras after just a few months because of the high failure rates. I was there, I witnessed it, along with several others. WTF is going on? $1.9M for junk and Ray Ray knew it....

And this is where we show our true colors.

Where is your outrage? Will you flood the mayor and council with calls for an independent investigation and prosecution of Schultz? Will you demand a suspension of the Taser contract? or will you continue to name call about Sisi.

No wonder Albuquerque is in the worse shape we have ever been in. The citizens just don't seem to care about crime and corruption by their elected officials.

What a crock of shit Schultz is pulling. It's just like when he brought his favorite girls back on contract. I hope Larry Barker or someone else does a story and blows this BS wide open.

On the Marie issue, same contract thing as the other girls. I worked with her in Homeland Security, she was nice, but always came into work several hours late, if she came at all. You could also never find her when you needed something. I don't think you will find very many uniformed cops to say anything good about her. She did always use the race card as an excuse to keep Chief Bowdich off her back. This contract BS needs to stop! They hired Marie so they can say they are trying to do the right thing with child abuse, but any cop knows how to fix the problem, well except Gordon Eden. it's a man power and CYFD issue. fix those things and you will be fine! Our own people know how to fix it but are not given the authority to do so..... Marie will just come in a steal their ideas and give them to the Mayor. What a scam!

If you worked with her you would know that. Come on folks show some courage and email the mayor, council, Bernalillo County DA, New Mexico AG, Department of Justice and Taser.

This is the same old pay to play in New Mexico and we are sick of it.

Ray brought Red Flex to Albuquerque and they are now under federal investigation for Pay to Play.

Ray decides to retire in March 2013. He starts "Testing" 75 Taser lapel cameras in the same month. July rolls around and Ray signs a 5 year $1,950,000 city contract for 550 more Taser lapel cameras. August and Ray is retired. October and Ray is drawing his early retirement pay and he starts working for Taser. This is so blantant pay to play that it makes me sick.

I have emailed and called all of the above agencies. Do you have the courage to do the same?

Ray belongs in a federal holding facility on a no bond hold until trial. Then it's off to a rent free life on Uncle Sam, with free food and all the back door plumbing he wants.
Yep, let's hope the Feds found the reason behind the lies, veto of the DOJ, fabrications of stories, and sheer terror of the DOJ coming. Let's hope they find out why Ray and his buddies like Feist and a bunch of others fled like rats on fire when they started their investigation. Let's hope they found all of it and forwarded it all to the DOJ criminal division for indictments and prosecution.

Anonymous said...

Only another Chief of Police can judge Ray Ray.

Well maybe he is wrong with that. I think the District Attorney, Attorney General and Department of Justice might be judging him on some Pay to Play corruption.

Pittsburgh Police Chief was just sentenced to 18 months for corruption. If enough of us call the District Attorny, the Attorney General and the Department of Justice (and the US Attorney General), we will start an investigation here into just how Ray Schultz was given a job at Taser immediatley after going on early retirement with APD and after signing the biggest contract Taser has recieved for their lapel cameras, $1,950,000!

Ray is so arrogant he admitted to everything in the KRQE interview. I see the inside of a federal courtroom for Ray Schultz.

Come on people make these calls. Demand action! Don't just post.

Yes indeed. COP = Cannonfodder if Politicians.
This is true here in Albuquerque where the cowardly and greedy rule supreme. I hope every posssible police recruit thinking about the suicide of becoming a cop in this corrupt village of political criminals reads this Blog before submitting an interest card for the Joke called APD. They will know that if the DOJ comes they will be tossed to the wolves. They will know that if some liar with rank needs cover when he gets caught doing something he shouldn't be doing, the officers work will be turned into a sideshow and spoon fed to the public as a distraction. They should know that their hard work will be ignored until the mayor needs some good publicity for his campaign. Then the cop who does something extraordinary will be overlooked for the politically correct warm and fuzzy story of the recent academy graduate who rescued a cat from a tree. The mayor Perry, city council and the 5th floor of APD are a dishonorable bunch of liars, frauds and cowards to the highest degree. I do not think there is anything lower than using others to get yourself out of the wrong that you did, while protecting your own financial interests. With any luck and sense of justice hopefully an occurrence if karma so hellish and heinous comes to these dissenters of the human race that they choose to hang themselves in their closets rather than face it.

It really looks like the person being spoken of is the one being just as described here. I'm just saying. That's what it looks like. When you have a topic like this strike a chord this bad on a subject so old and of such a niche topic about someone who is long gone it confirms the fact that this site has a deep and wide ranging readership.
