The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Fallen and....Forgotten?

Update: Thanks to the generous help of Bernalillo county Commissioners Maggie Stebbins and Wayne Johnson, FOP leader Bob Martinez, retired APD officers Al Ludi and Dan Klein, and state representative Paul Pacheco it looks like Houston and Eden are going to have the memorial later this month details coming soon!!

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation which designated May 15th as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in a number of planned events which honor those that have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Over at least the last decade, APD and BCSO held a joint ceremony on Civic Plaza on the first Tuesday in May in commemoration of officers and deputies who have given the ultimate sacrifice for their community. In 2013 it was held on May 7, in 2012 on May 8, in 2011 on May 10 and so on.

This year the event WAS planned on Tuesday, May 6, 2014. But it didn't happen. The FOP was ready for it as the above calendar shows. But Berry, APD brass, and others failed the families of those officers. This is an outrage and cannot go without accountability. In recognition of those officers and deputies the Eye lists those fallen heroes who gave the ultimate sacrifice for the citizens of Albuquerque:

Call City Council (768-3100), Mayor Berry (768-3000) and the County Commission (468-7000)
and ask that they instruct APD to reschedule this event for later this month.

Please call the city council 768 3000, the county commission, 468 7000 and the mayor 768 3000 and request that they reschedule this event for later this month.

Taking a moment to remember our friends who have given the last full measure it the least all of us can do.

Pick up the phone and show you have not forgotten.

Wow even ProgressnowNM is on the cops side on this one.

I never thought I would agree with Pat Davis or Progress Now NM but in this instance they are 100% correct.

Why did Richard Berry cancel the police memorial? 768 3000

This is the problem with our command staff,,,,,, I called them and they are saying because Briane Dennison retired the memorial was all but forgotten by them. This shows how little everyone on the 5th floor care about the officers who are on the street. We might as well take the pictures of the fallen down from the 5th floor hallway, I don't think the Chief or his Deputy Chiefs ever look at them.

If someone knows how to contact Briane Dennision please ask him to coordinate some memorial this month here in Albuquerque. We do have a commitment from Bernalillo County Commissioners to help fund it.

Berry and Eden don't care about our city or our police and their families. They care only about their political life.

Anonymous said...

I called the mayor's office today to inquire on the cancellation and learned that it may not have been a cancellation at all as it was not even on the mayor's calendar. Evidently this is an APD sanctioned event where the mayor and other dignitaries are invited to attend. Proof as to where APD ranks on dingle berry's agenda.

Wow, so 'ol Gordon eden had a knee jerk reaction and is no longer permitting officers to utilize personally owned weapons. I wonder if he considered every personally owned back-up weapon out there, or the UC 34's who might have to use a much more compact weapon based on their assignment. Is APD now going to issue back-ups and alternative weapons, or did this idiot not think it all the way through??? Whether the foothills shooting involved an officer's authorized personal or issued weapon is irrelevant as to the use of "deadly force" and would have not changed the outcome whatsoever had it been a department gun. What a smoke screen there mr eden, almost like the whole world searching for a hijacked and crashed commercial jet liner while we are on the brink of WW3. Stick to the issue at hand and swallow your own BULLSHIT!!!

Anonymous said...

Of course this new policy will never be clarified to officers.

Anonymous said...

Chief Eden's dictate on personal weapons is exactly why APD did not need a nonqualified politician running the department.

Other than trying to run the place like a federal agency he sure hasn't shown much in the way of having a set. Guess we can not blame the mayor for not letting him do anymoe press conferences

Briane was an active participant @ the Citizen's Police Academy. Maybe call Gerald Sandoval order Monica Moya at the Academy and they might know how to get hold of him. Sad and glad @same time to hear of his retirement. One good cop he is.

Hmm...

No police officers spoke out at the council meeting tonite on a different way to elect or pick a police chief. Guess everyone is happy with how Chief Eden was selected.

Anonymous said...

We won't see eye to eye (no pun intended) on much, but I'm with the cops scratching their heads on the personal weapon ban.

If an officer qualified with a personal weapon, and it's on the list of approved weapons, I can't think of even one reason why they shouldn't be allowed to carry it.

It's absolutely politically motivated, entirely silly, and indicative of weak leadership.

Next Eden will issue a press release saying that every time APD appears negatively in the media, all officers are forbidden from eating dessert for one week.

APD has plenty of serious problems, but this is a solution in search of one.

Does this include SID? IF SID gets to carry their own weapon I do to.

Anonymous said...

Nothing includes SID. They do whatever they want whenever they want. They were Schultz's Stazi.

Anonymous said...

This will be a huge cost as now the City has to buy enough weapons and backup weapons to outfit everyone.
Thanks Nate Korn for not letting the LEA board look into the allegations that Eden ordered the academy to help 34s pass their certification by giving them test answers. Here is your million dollar kick back.

Thanks Eye for posting Paul Kennedys calls from Mary Hans house. Has anyone asked why Paul didnt call his wife? If I just found a long time family friend dead, after the cops, I'd call my spouse. If I was part owner in a business and that partner was dead, I'd call the other owners. They would not hear about it on the news, especially the partner I was married to. If I was in a legal practice and needes to keep my dead partners legal documents away from cops I would call another partner for help, especially the one I'm married to.
Yet Mrs Kennedy is not on scene. She isn't even called. Now why would she not need to be told, unless she already knew. Or unless there was no way she would go into her house, like an affair.
The lack of calls to her and her not coming to be by her husband's side means there is something more there that needs investigated.

Albuquerque made the national CBS evening news last night. You can find it at the link below between 12:57 and 15:34. They mention it at 12:45 and then make it VERY difficult to hear that part of the broadcast. But with persistence you can eventually see it. And they talk about Russia and China censorship!

Let's see if the Martinez/Berry machine continue to kill people without lapel camera video after this.

Here’s the truth that the national news is reporting and here’s the lies you’ll hear from Erica Zucco at KOB about what happened Thursday night. She said, “So far it’s been pretty calm.” Really, Erica?

How would the DOJ come to the conclusion about guns unless the officers they were riding with made comments on look how big my gun is.

OK, Barney settle down.

There was a small graduation of new cadets who graduated from the police academy on Thursday. Does anyone know why no representatives from the mayors office bothered to show up? Does the mayor hate the police that much that he couldn't even send a delegate like his personal secretary at least? No mayor, no CAO, no deputy CAO, not even a PIO. Guess they forgot to put it on their calendar like the police memorial. The cadets are already all but forgotten. Welcome to APD you poor lads.

Eden and Houston should be run out of town for canceling our fallen LE brothers memorial! They both could give a shit about anyone except themselves. Both are political hacks that have no business running LE agencies. Dumb as shit! They are a dis-credit to LE. One is a hack and the other an old man bigot who has cost the County huge money in lawsuits that have been settled quietly!

For those of you who still don’t get it, this is THE MESSAGE:

WE are in control!

YOU will obey!

And if you don’t obey, we will KILL you!

The only hope for fixing this crisis in Albuquerque AND New Mexico is THE MOVEMENT. Thank you, protesters, for literally putting your lives at risk and the invasions of your home and personal lives with their surveillance to fight for peace and justice in Albuquerque and New Mexico!

President Obama needs to do what President Nieto did in Mexico. He ordered the army into Michoacán to protect the citizens. President Obama, I am pleading with you, PLEASE, we need you to order the army to protect us from our city and state police. They are turning off lapel cameras, killing us, and then planting evidence at the scene to justify the killing and show the smoke (from the cell phone), pictures of guns planted at the scene and broken windows caused by their flash bangs as evidence for the local media to distribute. Citizens of New Mexico, don’t be fooled by their propaganda. Use a keen and discerning mind to decipher the propaganda from the truth!

Berry for Governor 2018

10:36,

It should be obvious, even to Berry, that his political career is over. It's just a matter of time. If you saw his interview that the propaganda newspaper posted, you'll see he's in way over his head. It's time for that old white guy to go home and do some serious soul searching.

Dan and Gordo don't want the memorial because there is nothing in it for them. Dan's just a crazy racist man who hates anyone that's not white like him, but he's kissing babies now until after the election.... Gordo is a reject from Santa Fe that has no clue what being a cop is about and is quickly destroying APD. Berry and Perry were idiots to pick him in the first place. They have hired countless new people to do the jobs he can't. This has cost the taxpayers big....... This is the good old boy politics alive and well in NM. I hope the DOJ gets wise to all these political hacks.

@8:33

Wise men know that you should listen to a person actions, not their words, when you want to know what their intentions are and what they are really thinking. What I wrote is what they are thinking and what they intend to continue to do. And their plan is being expanded to the state, as they just killed someone in Las Vegas. If you don’t see that this is their message, then start analyzing their actions, not their words. The cops are just pawns in a larger plan. And if they are smart, they’ll stand up to this corrupted system. If not, they will end up getting thrown under the bus like Woolever and Doyle. It’s why the movement is the only solution.
