The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Fallen, Forgotten, and now Concealed

Last weekend we posted how APD and City brass showed how much they truly cared about the rank and file officers of APD and deputies of BCSO by skipping the annual police memorial held at civic plaza every May for countless years.

Thanks to the efforts of people OTHER than Albuquerque mayor RJ Berry, APD "chief" Gordon Eden, and BCSO Sheriff Dan Houston, it seems there will indeed be a memorial. Of sorts.

As you see, APD schultzed, ooops we mean "tweeted" a press release about the upcoming ceremony. But this event our Eyes tell us is basically a closed, non-public, event being held APD's police academy. There will be little fanfare and little public recognition of those fallen officers and deputies who gave the ultimate sacrifice. And little solace for the families who lost their loved ones.

It's moments like this that remind us some of the outrageous statements RJ Berry said during last Fall's mayoral campaign. You remember right? How he "loves" our police officers. How he thinks "the world of them." And how he couldn't be "more proud" of them. One has to wonder how much Berry would use this occasion if this event were being held last September. Would they really have "forgotten" it.

There's an expression we see on stickers paying tribute to fallen officers that we've seen on cars and trucks around town. The sticker says, "Never Forgotten."

We at the Eye, say "make them remember."

Albuquerque has lost it's soul under the Berry administration.

Same folks that killed Mary Han have no respect for their front line 34's. Shame.

May 11th – 17th, 2014 is the official dates of National Police Week. I guess berry/eden didn’t get the memo, or maybe their calendars were filled that week. It’s obvious that this memorial service that is scheduled for May 23rd is yet another ruse by the administration to give the “perception” that they actually care about its law enforcement officers. It’s no news that berry has no respect for the men and women of APD, and eden is nothing more than a puppet outsider with loyalties only to berry. So for them to take a proverbial crap on us at such a time when our fallen brethren should be honored is an all-time low, yet not entirely unexpected. It’s the castrated command staff at APD who should really be ashamed of themselves!!!

Boycott the memorial event on the 23rd and instead publicly gather downtown in TRUE-BLUE solidarity. Leadership must come from within the ranks.

7:37,
Best idea I've seen yet on this blog. The key word here is solidarity, actions speak louder than words, 34's!

TESLA goes with Nevada...why aren't we hearing anything from NM media?

Do any of the officers even give a damn? I hear nothing from the APOA. Don't any of you care about the families of the fallen?

Or will you just remain quiet and not care?

I imagine the APD is put off by the idea of celebrating its' own who have fallen, and having the public show up to hate their hypocrisy. I mean, they gun down little girls and mentally ill guys, and they don't seem to care, so going out to cry about lost cops would sure be galling to people whose lives they've shattered being murderers, wouldn't it?
The irony is, the men and women who've died trying to serve the community deserve respect, and the dirtbags who now run APD are hiding from the public they emphatically DON'T serve any longer....and so won't show the fallen any respect at all.
APD, you are criminals. You are bullies. And you are pussies. When those real, good cops come forward to get the bad cops off the force, we the community.we got your back...and we're ready to stand up and fight for you to keep your jobs, so maybe it's time to stop letting the pussies run your department. We are tired of these self-serving pussy assholes wandering around pretending they are even half the men that used to go into law enforcement...back when the law was considered MORE trustworthy than the people, because they held ONE ANOTHER to a higher standard, and viciously removed shitty officers, themselves? You remember, APD when being a cop didn't mean you were total piles of pussy bullshit nothingness? No? You musta missed what the world was like before cops were criminal, pussy, dickless little shitheads who have no guts and run around scared all the time. It was a good world. The world you want is a shitty little pisshole, and it's the world Tesla will avoid, good jobs will move away from, good people will move away from. You cornholes are worthless, faggotty little nothings. Your gun, your badge, and your other cop-buddies don't mean you really are actual men. They just mean that you can kill or look down on all the real men you meet and get away with it. Pussies.

The A.P.O.A. is attending The National Memorial Event in Washington D.C. this week. Albuquerque should be represented at the event. I spoke to The A.P.O.A. President last week and asked why no memorial service here ? The President told me that the excuse she was given by the chain of command was that it would interfere with the bid ? ARE YOU KIDDING ME CHAIN OF COMMAND !!!!!!!!!!! The President didn't know about this new date of May 23, and I don't know if she does yet. If it is being held at the academy parking will be an issue. Maybe just maybe the chain of command could ask the church next door if their lot could be used to park. The citizens that these brave men and women gave their lives for should be able to attend.

The national average police officer to citizen ratio is 2.4 to 1,000. Yet here at APD (based on actual officers responding to calls for service) we have 1 to 2,106. That stat line is pretty scary in itself without even factoring in ABQ’s ridiculously high crime rate, gang culture, poverty rate, increased homeless population, and untreated or undertreated mentally ill community. Just something to think about.

Civic Plaza is where the police memorial should be held.

No where else is acceptable. These officers died serving this community, therefore Civic Plaza should be used (as it always has been) so the community can also honor these officers.

Berry's APD brass don't seem to care about those who have given their all.

That doesn't help the families and friends of the fallen officers.

I wouldn't want Berry, Eden, or Houston to show up let alone speak. Houston hides behind his glasses and Eden is a horrible cloning gone bad.

Wanna hear something else amusing that speaks to the current condition of APD?? I retired from the department at the end of 2012 and in the mail just yesterday, May 13, 2014, I got my 'official" invitation to ceremonies for all 2012 retirees. To be held next month. In 2014. Better late than never I guess.

Well, well Baird lover, is that all you got? Quit bring Houston into the fold, the real issue is the Memorial has always been sponsored by APD with invites to other local peace officers. This decision had nothing to do with BCSO. It's at Civic Plaza ever year, city property, city sponsored. Go cry about Houston on FB or somewhere already!

The retiree ceremony should have been done under Schultz command, why is this administration being blamed for fixing it.

Anonymous said...

Those retirement ceremonies are always a long time after one retires. They wait until it makes sense to have one instead of only having a handful of folks that won't fill a room. Been going on for years if you don't want to attend then don't, and have them mail you your plaque.

Retirement ceremonies are always held a long time after one retires? And you are OK with that? Schultz got his retirement walk of fame the day he left. Oh I see, the command staff gets treated better than the troops and you are ok with it. You, 3:33 are part of the problem. Everyone who serves and retires deserves to be honored upon their retirement (like Schultz and Banks were) not years later. Demand better treatment and you will get better treatment. Accept a poop sandwich and that is what you will eat. Berry and Eden don't give a damn about the officer on the beat.

I wonder if Schultz is going to show up at the retirement ceremony. If so a local news media person will be sticking a mic in his face which would be the big problem. Maybe he will show up with Karen Fischer and Vicente will show up with Karen. What a tangled weave we weave.

Schultz should be moving down to South America with the rest of the "tiler" fugitives.

Sheriff Houston is a POS and only does stuff that helps himself and Manny and Moe, the Pep Shop boys. We can the sheriff and Katz and Gonzales, Manny, Moe, and Jack. These guys are all poor excuses for cops!
