The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Oh What A Wicked Web Schultzie Weaves.....

Back in February 2011, former APD Officer John Doyle and Rob Woolever apprehended a fleeing violent armed felon wanted by APD. Nicolas Blume was a suspect in numerous felony crimes and wanted on several felony warrants. APD's Gang Unit and Intel had passed out flyers and emails concerning Blume and were actively trying to find him (because he had evaded them at least twice).

Well, Officers Doyle and Woolever found Blume that night, and after a brief vehicle chase, a foot pursuit, and a lot of fighting, Blume was arrested. He was found with a gun and knife and was high on crack cocaine. But little did the officers know that Blume would not be their most lethal adversary that night. That title belongs to disgraced chief Ray Schultz.

You see, several months later, in November 2011, Schultz fire both officers. While it changes each time why they were fired (was it excessive force? Untruthfulness? Tampering with evidence? Changing reports) one thing is clear, Schultz worked his way to fire two fine officers in an effort to show the DOJ he was a "tough guy."

Well, as we will see in tonite's story on KRQE-13, it seems Schultz is not such a tough guy after all. While we have bee reporting on this case pretty much since the officers were placed on leave, it seems some very new and shocking details are about to come out about what really happened that night in February and what happened in the following weeks and months.

You see, it's bad enough that Schultz tried to work the system for his woman friends that did his bidding for him with privatized rehire gigs, and then milk the city's budget for a lucrative Taser contract so he could work for Taser, but to all but destroy the lives of two hardworking cops? Really Ray.

And for those that didn't notice, this case was NOT listed in the DOJ report. While we know many people take issue with the tactics that were deployed last night, let's be real. Blume was taken into custody with superficial injuries and booked that night.....

****Last year it was "nature at play." Now we find out it's "greased." What is up with Schultz and his weird freudian slips. Something revealing about your childhood Ray? Did your daddy beat you or were you just seriously neglected by your mommy?

****And speaking of flip flops, last year according to Kent Walz of the Journal, Ray Schultz was the "right man for the job," and "the leader APD needs," and one who "talks the talk." Well, Kent boy your were wrong on that. Could it be that you're also wrong about your favorite mayor? Is it possible that RJ Berry is not only not fit for his officer but has colluded with these people for his own personal gain. We at the Eye don't think it's this possible to do so much harm and be such a failure unless it was on purpose....

****And lastly, what is up with all the contacts going on between Berry, Perry, White, Schultz, and Wilham? If they were this busy with Taser, what else were they busy with???

So APD shoots a teenage girl, but didn't shoot Blume? But 2 cops are fired and did not kill the Perl, but no cops fired for killing. Yes, there is something rotten in Denmark. No play or movie could be as perverse as" Broken Bad".

Way to go Eye. Lets see how Kims report comes out. Even though 13 sucks ass, she has always seemed to be fair to the beat cops and goes after the administration.

Bad guy arrested...unarmed people shot and killed. Cops that arrested bad guy, fired. Cops that shot and killed unarmed people, still on the job. What the hell kind of police department does Albuquerque have? Berry needs to be recalled, Schultz needs to be indicted.

Schultz, White and McCleskey had a secret meet up at the Barelas Coffee Shop today. Must be getting scared or getting ready to throw Berry under a bus if their own.

I here the president of Mexico wants to come to Albuquerque so he can see how not to run a police department.

Well, I saw the video of the two officers kicking the suspect, that was excessive force-something APD is good at, these two just got caught. They should have been fired, and all those that continue should be fired as well. The one guy that should not have been fired is Vigil over not writing a report.

Just saw the KRQE report on Doyle & Woolever. There is a lot more to this story that I just can't wait to see on tv. Schultz and Berry need to bend over and kiss their butts good-bye. Oh, Albuquerque, get ready to pay out some more big bucks! You can't screw over the citizens and GOOD cops and keep the bad cops!

Hey Jason Peck, I doubt they will be able to protect your UC status from inside your jail cell. Tango down eh Jason? UC???? What a joke, thought you were better than this but apparently not. Do you think you and you're murdering swat bros are so undercover sitting at your same stupid restaurant at the same damn time with your guns sticking out and your navy seal fanboi beards?? Just come clean dude. And since you guys already violate the law by illegally obtaining IP addresses, go ahead and pull this 51, then call me and we can meet up, I'll still try to help you save yourself from that dirty birdy buckner who is going to burn you. Still time to be a good guy again . You know, a real 34.

8:52,
They should be discussing turning themselves in to the DOJ for attempting to obstruct their investigation.
I just watched the whole unedited Doyle and Woolever interview. Holy shit! Way to go guys. You connected the dots and fought this. They actually stated that these officers provided proof and documents backing their claims. This case needs to be investigated by the DOJ and if Jason Peck did this then lied, he needs to be charged. KRQE, please post these documents. This is a crime if this happened. Imagine if the DOJ fell for Schultz's scheme.

Farmington PD has had a policy in place requiring ALL citizen contacts of an investigatory nature to be recorded with audio/video for YEARS with no issues. FPD officers simply turn on their recording devices whenever they talk to any citizen for most any reason; makes most citizen courtesy complaints evaporate when they can themselves being docks and the cop being polite. FPD also bought body worn cameras for all officers including detectives without any drama surrounding the purchase and that connects to their existing video upload system. Those body worn cameras are reliable, easy to activate and are rugged. (read cop proof)

APD and other agencies need to understand the public wants accountability and video is a huge part of that. Too many bad cops caught lying have burnt the trust bridge that used to exist between the police and citizens to the point no-one is taking the coop's word for anything. The new watchword is "show me the video." No video or audio and good luck on the jury buying your version of events. Sad but true and pricked like Ray Ray have brought us to this point.

@9:47

You saw the video? Apparently by your time stamp you didn't see the unedited video on KRQE.com of the interview with the officers. That info didn't hit the website until around 10:45! You don't know shit! Watch that, then make your dumbass statement! "I saw the video". The whole truth about Blume came out and guess what, dumbass, Blume had a knife in his waste band. Boyd got killed because he had a knife..Blume got arrested and lived to wreak more havoc! Cops who shot unarmed citizens are still on the JOB! They got caught, but that's the kind of cop Schultz, Eden, Perry, and Berry want!

There are two stories listed on KRQE. The original and this more detailed one containing the video and in depth article written by Holland and Proctor. It looks like since Proctor has left the journal he has been on a warpath with some pretty fair articles.

http://krqe.com/2014/05/01/ex-cops-break-long-silence-on-infamous-kicking-case/

As for Jason Peck, I never did care for the guy. He is the kind of guy who would do whatever he needed to to please the higher ups and get ahead. Since his involvement in doing this to these officers he has been the fair haired boy who can do no wrong. He has been through more choice assignments than most officers have in a career. He has been totally protected. It is obvious he did something to prove himself to them.
This does not look like an IA Sargent who was just doing his job. It looks like a criminal who was tampering with a case. It looks like he was purposefully doing a shoddy investigation, and in cahoots with Schultz, Levy and the rest of them to use this to fool the DOJ.

And for Buckner, well we all know he is a criminal. Now we see the proof of it. Changing a statement on a police report is a felony. I hope he gets charged with this.

12:50,
APD is in a bad way credibility wise, but these two just put a foot in Schultz's ass. Seems they have the proof to back it up too.

I just read the on-line story about the two officers fired for "kicking". I also carefully watched the unedited video that is available of the interview. The officers go through the video almost frame by frame, explaining what happened. I also saw the 16 mug shots of Blume taken over the years and with a little research I discovered just what kind of a really bad guy Blume was. None of this was brought to light by APD. There was no news conference displaying pictures of weapons or info on the suspect's criminal history, like so many recent news conference on the many fatal APD shootings. I do agree with the two officers; Schultz did whatever he had to do to throw them under the bus to try to distract the DOJ investigation. I also heard on the story that the officers have documented proof showing that APD lied about their case. I don't know why these officers would want to serve this department again, or even protect the apathetic fools that allowed Berry to be re-elected in our lovely city. These officers seem to have more integrity than everyone in Berry's offices!

The last 6 minutes of the 46 minute video sums up what is wrong with this system. Woolever, power to you for standing up to this corrupt system in spite of the consequences. Most people would submit to the pressure of losing their career and the ability to feed their family. It says a lot about your character. TRUTH WINS ULTIMATELY!

That which doesn’t kill you, both spiritually and physically, will make you stronger. I am sure that both of you are better men because of the ordeal you have been through. You will have much success in your life because of your experience. Fight the good fight in whatever you do in your career. Your skills are honed and you are better qualified by this experience to do that now.

The corruption at the city that you have experienced is beyond APD. I hope someday Berry is recalled. He’s the root of the problem and the sooner he is gone the better. I know DOJ believes that Berry is sincere in cooperating with them. I assure you that he will try to push the envelope to the very end to continue with his objectives and to abuse the citizens via the police . He’s using the cops as a pawn in a much larger game.

Doyle and Woolever's story has just begun and the Administration's nightmare is in full swing. I heard they will going national with interviews over this, so unless they have a warehouse full of Omaree's uncles this story is going to stick and be told again. I hope Peck, Levy, Buckner, Schultz and his deputies get indicted for interfering with a federal investigation. KRQE said that the officers provided proof the city lied not once but numerous times. I would say all involved are caught and should really start to think about making this right before they not only lose a lot of money but also end up in cuffs.

I'll bet Doyle and Woolever wished the cameras were on during the Blume incident. It's another reason why we need them on at all times.

I think they should toss Peck Levy Schultz and Buckner in a room with Blume and a pair of handcuffs and see if these Monday morning quarterbacking cowards can get Blume into custody in less than 16 seconds.

Levy would splatter like a shit filled water balloon, Schultz would beg to be let out of the room, and Blume would probably kick the piss out of those two lying punks Buckner and Peck and handcuff their pencil necks together before getting away again.

I saw the entire video, and No wonder APD is such a mess, there is no justification for kicking an offender in that manner, that many times, please, you can fool some of the people but not everyone. Repeated kicking to the head, no one teaches that, they were pissed and for good reason but that was an officer very much out of control, no matter how dangerous Blume is, just More excuses for aggressive tactics. Schultz is a crook, unethical and the way the investigation was handled was unethical. That does not change the excessive force findings, but a suspension should have been a more equitable discipline. That thin blue line is hard to cross but eyes are watching now.

Anonymous said...

I believe those two went to management, got the video and made sure it came to,light. What are you saying?

You may have watched it but you don't know what you're watching. If it's excessive force then where are Blume's injuries? He had superficial abrasions and that was it. His head was not crushed like that kid's testicle from last weekend so guess what, no excessive force.

I don't think that is the problem. First of all, only citizen's who live inside the city limits can vote in a mayoral election / city council election. If you look at the population of inside the city limits you've got the very rich and very poor, including a lot of new immigrants from Asia, middle east, India and Mexico who do not vote. Many city workers including officers live outside the city's limits, whether it be in the East Mountains, Rio Rancho, Los Lunas, etc. I have worked @ COA for 15 years and have lived in East Mountains for 5 of those years thus not having a say in the mayoral election. Given a chance I would have LOVED to VOTE AGAINST BERRY. All I can do is be a cheerleader for anyone but Berry.

If you work in the city you can legally use your work address to be eligible to vote. Living outside the city limits and working within the city limits does not prevent you from voting.

@10:22pm

Blume was known to be armed and extremely dangerous. He had sworn to kill the next cop that tried to arrest him. He fled the scene of an auto accident (in which he was driving a stolen truck), got tackled, would not bring his right hand out from under him to be hand cuffed, did not respond to orders to do so, and when the incident was over a knife was found on him. Also, when taken to the hospital, he did not complain of any injuries and was released immediately from the ER to go to jail! Now, let's say you were the cops chasing this animal, known to want to kill cops, what would you have done, Mr.or Ms. Monday Morning Quarterback? Blume was known to be armed and would not bring both hands out in order to be hand cuffed. What would you have done? Not strike the offender? No, you would have been killed by Blume and you would be six feet under and not be able to write your crap! What a fool! It's easy to sit at home and watch videos (or probably in your case play video games) and develop BS opinions. Maybe Blume will get out of jail and come to YOUR house! Then what will you do? Debate with him? One more point, they did not SHOOT Blume, they went hands on and captured him! Excessive Force my butt!

Anonymous said...

10:22,
When it was justified to use a firearm in that scenario, please tell us how it was excessive. In a deadly force situation you may use any means necessary to get the subject into custody. That means 50 punches and kicks if need be. It would be interesting to see what YOU would have done in that situation. Would YOU have even been able to keep up with him in a car? Would you have chased him into that dark parking lot knowing he was armed and dangerous? And would you have prevailed. No one else did before. I don't care who is watching, they should be educated in case law, use of force, and tactics then have a whole hell of a lot if experience successfully taking violent armed resisting felons into custody without a team of officers before opening their mouths about what should and shouldn't be done. If the officer was very much out of control as you say, why was the use of force only 16 seconds? Why were there intermittent pauses where it looked like things were neing assessed? Why did the officer stop immediately before the other officer got his handcuffs out? Someone out of control would have had to have been stopped, would have caused severe damage, and would have continued using force after the cuffing.
Sometimes aggression is needed. Get over it.
Yes, the way an investigation is handled has EVERYTHING to do with the findings. You complain about how APD hides evidence and how people are wronged, but magically the investigative process doesn't apply here for YOUR reasoning?
You should get your facts strait. Read about it and watch the video again. It has been confirmed through
testimony that there was not repeated kicks to the head. After being presented with the facts, then reading a comment such as yours, you can only come to the conclusion that you are someone with an agenda.

If you would like, i could get my hands on a simunitions paint gun, rubber knife, and a pair of handcuffs, then briefly school you on use of force. You could bring along three friends and we can play the scenario out in a controlled environment with me as the offender and 4 cops instead of 2 trying to take that offender into custody. You would be amazed how quickly the four of you would all be shot up with paint rounds or slashed with the training knife. I can guarantee you will not get it done in 16 seconds, and if you did, everyone of you would have at least one marking where you were either struck with a round or slashed with a blade.

Think more intelligently before writing next time, and don't contradict yourself. It will really help your credibility a lot.

It was not excessive.

Anonymous said...

I don't think anyone is trying to fool anyone. Maybe you are. The officers reported their actions and from what was said they were forthright. They made sure the video was recovered and stood up what they did. The fight they are putting up speaks volumes. The guilty don't do that. Guilty people cut their losses and walk away. These guys were threatened with everything and they did not quit. One of them went to the DOJ for Christ's sake.

Anonymous said...

In a deadly force situation I can splatter your head with a cinder bloc. It is called a weapon of opportunity. That is not taught either. This is why officers are allowed leeway outside of training when lives are at stake.
Go to APD and request to see a use of force report sheet. Look at it and see the box for marked other. That is what it is there for.

And how the hell would you know the officers were mad? If you can tell emotion from THAT video, you are in the wrong line of work.

Anonymous said...

@10:24

I was referring to lapel cameras. If they had lapel cameras, the truth would have been revealed and the people in power wouldn't have been able to manipulate the truth.

Berry doesn't want to agree to lapel cameras on at all times with the DOJ. If lapel cameras are not on at all times, we have lost any ammunition from their manipulation and propaganda and they will continue with their BS.

I liked how Holland and Proctor gave the city and Peck no quarter when they refused to comment on this story and cited peck's Bullshit UC status as being the reason. I remember the interview Peck gave the media where they obscured his face. The city attorney and this guy get caught lying, then hide when caught again. Whoever has those tapes needs to release them to the media as soon as the city opens their mouth again in reference to this case. The city attorney ran her mouth for the last few years when they stacked the deck in their favor, and now that they are caught when these these guy step forward with evidence of their actions. Now it's silence from them. Hopefully Peck lies about what he did to Woolever so that he can be arrested. It looks like perjury, falsified police reports, witness intimidation, and tampering with evidence. Buckner should be prosecuted for filing a false police report. That is a definite at the least here. There is no way the city attorney was not aware of this. They need to lose their right to practice law. This is probably the same city attorney that made the mess out of the Ken Ellis case. At some point, in a mess like this, the line between representation and collaboration is crossed.

It is interesting that these 2 articles are posted recently. Oh, I Am sorry. I see what you are saying.
Yea, I am sure it would have shown how crazy it went down with their chase and all with everything leading up to the apprehension. Berry doesn't want anything to do with transparency. He has proven that. I remember when that incident happened Berry came out at a chamber of commerce meeting and did exactly what he threw Eden under the bus for doing in an opposite way. He said there was nothing in that video that justifies that. Well, there is nothing in that video that does not justify that. This is because it is more than just a video. It is what lead up to it, what was on the officer's mind and what they knew. I guess it is ok for him to make premature accusations when it suits him.
13 probably now has proof to put people behind bars.

Taser, Schultz and Pay to Play. Let's look at Taser stock since their back room dealings with Ray Schultz.

July 1 2013 Taser stock trades at a low of $8.52 / share. Taser is flat while waiting for the LARGEST CONTRACT IN TASER HISTORY to be signed in Albuquerque.

October 2 2013, Taser trades at $16.65 per share after announcing the LARGEST CONTRACT IN TASER HISTORY with Albuquerque Police, with a special shout out to Ray Schultz (taser press release).

February 27 2014, one day before KRQE breaks the Taser Schultz kickback, Taser closes at $20.54 per share, it's 52 week high.

April 23 2014 Taser closes at $18.26 later in the day KRQE breaks the story of how Ray Schultz "greased" the Taser deal.

May 2 2014 Taser stock continues to decline after the KRQE story of pay to play in Albuquerque. Now that the Inspector General and State Auditor have announced formal investigations, Taser stock closes at $14.13 per share. Losing over $4 per share or 20% of it's value in just ten days.

This is what association with Ray Schultz will do for you. He will work a greased Pay to Play deal where he will profit, but very quickly any investment in Schultz turns to crap and you lose money.

My prediction Taser stock continues to fall. Once the IG, OAS, NM AG and FBI announce their findings and indictments, Taser drops below $5 per share.

Taser should have known better than to do any business with Ray Schultz. They will learn this as their stock price drops and indictments come down.

@10:36

I hate to break the news to you but we are WORSE than Mexico, excluding Michoacan, right now. Police aren’t killing citizens or busting testicles. It is clearly more dangerous here than there. And in Michoacan, the citizens have organized to fight against the corruption and are now getting the support of the federales.

In addition, they are kicking our ass as far as organizing in general. Here’s an example:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8El2QlwbMZM&feature=youtu.be

Nieto realizes they need to address the corruption in order to be competitive globally. They are progressing while we are regressing. So yes, we are 4th world and our ranking in the US at the bottom of everything confirms it.

So for those of you blind people that say it's bad everywhere or like that millennial who was raised as “I’m special” that wrote the propaganda article about it being a rumor of how bad it is here, get your head out of your ass. It's horrible here and being in denial will not make it go away.

Always a law abiding citizen, top security, etc, I could not fight the politics and civil rights violations....as Shultz's friend (my neighbor told me when he moved in) as a veiled threat, money has power and his best friend was the chief. Yes it does, against a widowed single mother and woman. Good-bye Albuquerque. After continuous threats, and the list goes on, I moved and I can actually sleep at night. No more PTSD, fear, harrassment, and my neighbor and his cronies won. At the end, I'm a happier person for leaving.

Ray Schultz for Police Chief NOT --- NOT ever again. All he can get is a free loading job at taser. Wonder when his next presentation is with APD info that he basically stole. I would like to know if he put in an open records request for his lapel video's he uses at his presentation.

I hear that Tazer sent Ray Schultz out to get fitted for his orange jumpsuit. It won't be long now.
