The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. On the Eve of a Consent Decree, Not a Creature was Stirring...

Our Eyes tell us that in the not too distant future, the fate of the state's largest police department in the state's largest city will be presented before all who have been waiting since last April. Ironically, or maybe not so, what comes forward of the consent decree between the City of Albuquerque and the United States Department of Justice will have been negotiated by outsides. As much as our good buddy Jerry Walz likes to brag about his influence on things, what the reality is APD's fate has been decided by a duo from Cincinnati and a crew from Washington D.C.

Which makes us wonder is there anything that could happen where the people in power here in Albuquerque, or Santa Fe for that matter, will EVER be held accountable?

A year ago during the mayoral race we were told the city's economic struggles were all but over. Yet here we are and things are worse.

We were told APD was one of the best department's in the country, a place where people come to learn from. In reality it's an example of what not to do.

We were told that candidates Dinelli and Heh were naysayers about the city and that all was great. Yet the only thing Albuquerque has led is it's national recognition as place the preceded Ferguson, Missouri, in police violence and a place where the city's CAO shows up at shooting scenes drunk.

We were told that crime was down and was continuing to fall. Yet in reality its continued to rise.

We were told that Richard Berry loved his city employees. Yet he hires temps faster than permanent employees and cuts the workforce.

So many promises have been broken and so much scorn has been thrown at those who dare challenge the status quo of such hypocrisy, it makes one wonder if it truly is not time for change in Santa Fe for simply the sake of change.

Folks like the disgraced former Public Safety Director Darren White love to do nothing but point out the lint on the shoulders of others while disregarding the nakedness of host. We've not been impressed by AG King during his tenure in office. But we've been sourly disgusted by the rank and foul conduct by the current occupant of the governor's office. But hey, we're the Eye, tell us how you really feel.

One thing is for certain, once this consent decree comes out, not much is gonna change.

Maybe the Albuquerque city employees should talk to the Santa Fe city employees about getting better leadership from AFSCME. There is an article in the Santa Fe Reporter today about Santa Fe city workers wanting to a change in AFSCME representation.

http://www.sfreporter.com/santafe/article-9234-cutting-ties.html

When CNM AFT union employees vote to decertify due to the AFT ignoring them the National AFT President flew out to Albuquerque to work out a deal to keep CNM employees in the union. This gave the union a year to wake up and take of it's CNM members or lose them. Sometimes you have to shake things up in order to get action and better representation.

The AFSCME locals, all of them (Blue Collar, Clerical, Security, Management, Transit) are way under 50% membership - which makes them illegal and unconstitutional. The expiration of all the contracts and the extended refusal to bargain over anything except "union time" rendered the unions effectively decertified anyway. Actual decertification is not applicable here, as AFSCME, APOA, and Firefighters have given up on collective bargaining and accepted deal-making rather than insisting on their rights and the law.

Without any "unions" really representing anyone but themselves instead of standing up for the employees, the inane fight to preserve the right to city pay for union president time was just what Perry-Berry-Martinez wanted -- a mock battle they couldn't and shouldn't lose. AFSCME's latest lawsuit is truly frivolous, and looks like more work to keep the lawyers paid and the employees screwed.

I blame three people. Marty Chavez, Ray Schultz and Berry. That where it all started. Schultz asking for another term because Chavez had his balls in a vice. Step the FUC( up you ball less wonder. You are to blame. Hows that job hunting?

Local govt is bad enough but if you apply the same criteria to the Obama admin he would've been impeached 5 years ago. Where is Eric Holder and the justice dept? What a clown show we see on a daily basis! A total clown show!

And what about the 5,000 American lives lost in Iraq, for a lie. And George Bush in on the impeachment. 5,000 Americans who died for a lie.

You honest LEOs out there say Martinez needs to go...

So, when will SWAT teams from across the state be called in to assist the NMSP in raiding the Governor's office and Mansion?

Martinez and Orlando (now conveniently placed as general counsel at the New Mexico Department of Public Safety) are getting away with misuse of law reinforcement databases and destruction of public records.

Bush had a plan? I guess you haven't educated yourself. He had no plan. Colin Powell admitted Iraw was a lie.

Eternal war, you go, I'll stay home.

@3:36 You might want to do some research before you open your mouth and put your foot in it. President Obama was adhering to the SOFA agreement signed by Former President Bush to remove troops.
In 2008 George W. Bush signed the U.S.–Iraq Status of Forces Agreement. It included a deadline of 31 December 2011, before which "all the United States Forces shall withdraw from all Iraqi territory".
It's not too hard, took about 5 seconds to find it.

To Sept 25 @ 3:36: The clown show in the White House and the fool in the White House saved our auto industry, saved our banking institutions, stopped another great depression, turned our economy around from the worse recession since the depression, ended two wars started by Bush on false premises, killed Osama Bin Laden, implemented heath care reform that is working. The dumbest people in America are the conservatives that believe the color of a man's skin is a reflection of intelligence.

Pulls out of Iraq early???? Apparently you weren't one of the soldiers stuck there deployment after deployment.

Why don't you volunteer for the next war and stay for as long as you like.

And Bush had a plan? What was that? Was it his plan to lie to the American people? Bush had no plan. Conservatives are the dumbest people on earth. Go pray to your make believe big buddy for some brains.

Eric Holder has resigned, now these DOJ idiots that have been in town need to do the same thing. Gun smuggling, anonymous instigators in New Orleans, the DOJ needs to be investigated. Until their house is scrubbed they have no credibility and should have no authority.

This is close to the truth-the fantasy that the Feds are our saviors is a scam, So we must demand full criminal investigation of APD. The Rodella BS is a diversion.

Don't discredit what has been happening behind closed doors. Cleaning up corruption is like a game of dominos. What could a sheriff from a horse racing town know about Albuquerque? What could he know about state government? What will he tell once his balls are firmly in a vice?

Interesting week. Began with that scumbag felon Blume pleading guilty, Susana's emails and hardrives disappearance confirmed, and Rodella getting convicted. Hmmmm, October should be great....!!

Just imagine if this was all of these dirty filthy pieces of corrupt lying shitballs. Perry, Berry, Schultz, The city attorney, Fat Wheeler, Wouldn't the world be such a nicer place?

I watch the City Council on TV every two weeks and CAO Perry makes me want to throw up. Why can't that clown buy a suit that fits, and not wear one two sizes too small? As for what's wrong with ABQ ~~> voters who don't vote are a good part of the problem. Too many people gripe but don't get off their butts on election day.

I'd say the creatures (Sandy) are beginning to stir Eye.

Eden is so fucked. He needs to fire Sandy in the morning and then turn in his resignation.

The blue flu should be spreading like wildfire tonight.

A code word? hahahahahahahahah omfg yeah rights, it's called you don't fit in and back to the field you go! Can't make this shit up. Oh but wait, it gets worse doesn't it Matt V?

So my question is what did Kieth do to you Chris Ramirez-Huffman? We all know that when you were Berry's bitch PIO you were always hanging out with Sandy....so whats up with that??

Another example of why a consent decree is needed. The feeds need to come in and take action against rogue officers and the DAs office. Sandy is cleared by APD internal affairs and DA office? One of many. The rogue cops are hurting their co-officers-those who honor their badge.
I am not anti-law enforcement. I am pro-law enforcement. The issue is not about being for or against law enforcement. The issue is about following the law. Simply. However, it's time our law enforcement officers become part of the community-not militarized, with a license to kill at random. It's very clear, if you watch the news, that many local police departments are becoming vigilante, not abiding by the US Constitution and getting away with murder. We can not be a complacent society. Every person is afforded the fundamental protection of civil rights and innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. Not determined by arresting officers. I disagree that it is just a race issue, but one that is plaguing all communities and individuals-the community social norms, whether it is race, mental illness, age, homelessness, etc. An officer does not have the right to violate another person's basic fundamental rights or they should be held accountable like any other citizen. Murder. Shooting humans is not a game.

They are doing EVERYTHING they can to save this Sandy creep. It is obvious that he is connected. State Police, APD and daddy. And why does this guy still have his gun and credentials when on administrative leave? Every cop placed on leave has their credentials taken from them. It is obvious that the criminal investigation has concluded with the release of the tapes. This place is a joke. I wonder who's idea it was to make up the locker room talk bullshit. I am betting the same person who made up that bullshit when Bader got caught on camera talking shit about Proctor. And a safe word? That is hilarious. What a crock of shit. If the investigator was smart, he would have stopped the interview as soon as this goof said that and immediately brought in every detective from the ROP unit to see if that the case. CHINA!!!
HA HA HA. This place gets better by the day. Now while you are conducting NATURE AT PLAY you can yell CHINA when it gets a little too rough. I wonder what else Keith and his frat boys have "safe words" for. This gets better by the minute.
I think Berry and Perry should be yelling CHINA about now as this Boyd case is going to rip their asses wide open. Can anyone say 30 million dollars? Maybe Perry should give his raise back and tighten his fucking belt for a change. No doubt that this murder will take away everything from those who are doing the right thing, and continue to provide cover for those doing the wrong thing. Business as usual in the land of corruption.
