The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Bottoms out....

If the above picture looks familiar, that's because it should be. Over four years ago when the city's mayor was "transitioning" in with his take over, the above article was presented to him about what to do with APD.

As we see with the recent Consent Decree signed by the city, the chickens have come home to roost. Except now it's the people who caused this mess now running the show! When Neal Trautman talks about scandals growing from the individual acts of a few individuals where things are now in the city is virtually every department tainted.

From the library, to the zoo, to solid waste, to yes APD, the major department's have all but imploded and the proof is the endless increase in costs to run the city, morale at basement levels, and a flood of retirements.

One of our Eyes informed us that there are more officers retiring from APD this year than from across the state combined. Funny, that doesn't sound like a PERA issue but a Berry issue. But hey, since APD is now required to provide at least 120 hours of training each year for each officer, instead of what was 16 hours, we're sure our favorite academy director will find some more "distractions" with spending so much quality time with department personnel......

Fuck you Wolf, you confirmed and documented forger of government documents.

KRQE, please IPRA request the document that wolf forged. Get the document that he forged an instructor's name on to lie to the NMLEA, and cover up the fact that classes and classes of recruits were graduating the academy not certified in use of force ALL DURING THE TIME THESE SHOOTINGS WERE HAPPENING. Because of this, the NMLEA tried to keep the lid on this also. Because of this, the graduates did not have the required hours of force training by a master trainer that is mandated by the rules to be certified. They were covering this up so the DOJ did not find out. They got caught and Wolf only got a letter of reprimand for forgery and lying to the board. Schultz knew all about all of this. Everyone did.

104 extra hours of training. That's almost 3 weeks a year your officers won't be in the field taking calls. 104 hours × 800 officers give or take =83,200 hours
83,200 × pay rates of $18-33 an hour x time and a half (because no way the field can not have these guys shagging calls for 3 more weeks a year)
Where or where is this money going to come from? We don't have it. Well we do have it but it is all tied up in "albuquerque the plan"
Berry is the plan to bankrupt the city? Is the plan to replace all the good paying jobs with call centers? Is the plan to be #1? Because we are #1. Number one worst schools, number one in job exodus, number one in population exodus, number one in violent crime, number one in smoke shops per capita, number one in worst quality of life.
What's next mayor? Maybe we can overtake Texas is most repeat births to teenage moms. We're number two after all.

WTF Dear is fired. That chick actually had a gun unlike the others. That chick had a history of violence and no diagnosed mental health issues but Dear is fired. I call Bull Shit.
Let this be a lesson to any 34 who still thinks this Chief is better than Ray Ray. They will both throw you into the fire to save their pathetic do nothing asses.
He may not have been the best but no damn way did he deserve this. And insubordination, telling the Chief to his face that this is bull shit is not insubordination dipshit. It's calling bull shit.
If we had a few more people willing to look leadership in the eye and say no we might actually clean up the department.

And dont give me that shit about cameras. He is one of many on the list who went to property to complain about his camera cutting out and property said there were no new ones to give out so make due. Good thing more than one of us kept that list of who got rejected for new lapel cams.

I was invited to attend BCSOs graduation last week and was pleasantly surprise to see a quality top notch academy graduation and cadets. The auditorium was packed. Those youngsters looked sharp the way they are supposed to look when coming out of a 24 week academy. I was even more surprised to see SEVEN(7)Active and retired APD officers badging (pinning)their sons. What a Sad day for APD. The tides have turned Mr. Berry. BCSO is now the lead agency and APD officers are now telling thier sons and relatives to move to brown. Congrats BCSO for leading by example.

Its what you call salary savings to a business minded idiot like our mayor. In a business when you have a worker who is gaining too much seniority and having to start giving them raises, you look to get rid of them. This is done to save money. Why pay for one highly skilled worker at a higher salary when you can have two barely trained workers at much lower salaries?

Anonymous said...

APD is pathetic. Anyone who is thinking about taking a job with APD is out of their mind. Has anyone noticed the trend in firings? When this administration wants to fire someone without just cause, they immediately revert to either trying to get them indicted or claiming they were untruthful. Then when it comes time to back the untruthfulness claims they lie themselves, get caught, and fail to prove those allegations. Nothing will change until the liars themselves with far more egregious black marks on their records than any fired cop, are removed and the command structure is rebuilt with people who know how to conduct proper investigations that result in the proper and just terminations of individuals who deserve to be fired and fair discipline, instead of the highest order of chickenshit behavior of using others to advance their agenda, hide behind and profit from. Until people like Perry, and Schultz are nailed to the cross for their crimes, nothing will change. And as long as everyone falls for the dog and pony show they will always be duped into thinking things are changing when all they are doing is covering shit up to keep the status quo.
Dear was fired because the cord from his camera was defective. Another tactic to protect Schultz who spent millions on defective Tazer equipment, so that he could have a cush job as a reward. These criminals would rather discredit a cop and use them than let the truth out. Look at the big picture here people. Schultz needs to face charges for RICO and racketeering. That is the big picture. He is the one responsible for ALL of this. I have never in all my life seen an entire city run into the ground protecting one of the biggest cowardly son of a bitch that has ever lived, and Darren you little bitch, we have not forgotten about you either. What the hell is the Inspector general doing with the Tazer investigation? That is a question that needs to be asked.

Eden and company screwed over Jeremy Dear. They say he violated orders by not turning his lapel camera on, but hell the entire SWAT team has refused to turn their cameras on since the Boyd shooting and Eden does nothing to them. So much man love for everything not cop related it makes me sick.

Advice for ALL officers who are in Field Services and within 2 years of retiring. GET OUT ASAP! Eden is going to fuck you over any chance he gets. The beat officers are screwed under this administration, so retire as quickly as you can and go to a job where you are respected. Then all the SWAT officers and the desk jockeys can get forced out to the field and see what it is like to have every second of your day watched over by a bunch of command staff officers who have affairs with subordinates, torture citizens, take pictures of female officers boobs, take pictures of their own penis's, etc etc etc.

I didn't think the chain of command could get any worse but it has reached a new low and they are going to screw over the beat officers.

RETIRE AS SOON AS YOU CAN. I am out of here December 31, thank god.

On this day of Christmas ABQ gave to me another mental patient with a gun outside a school and EmCore, again.
Even DC Roseman can't hide the look of real concern on his face. Where is our Chief? You don't have to hide your emotions but you can't hide all together.
You're the Chief. Get off your butt and be a leader or get the hell out of the way so we can get a real one for the first time in over a decade.

Gordon and Roseman couldn't lead their spoons into a banana split sundae. APD is lead by the biggest bunch of self serving pathetic cowards there are.

Gordon Eden should be worrying about what is tearing at the fabric of his hymen. It looks like Tom Grover is doing an outstanding job of that.

Next retirement seminar is December 9 at 8:30 am at the South Broadway Cultural Center.

Get out of APD if you can. Eden and his merry men are going to go out of their way to screw over field service officers. If you are SWAT, under Wolfe (haaaa that made me laugh) and doing anything but working as a real cop in an area command, you can stay. Eden and Huntsman love you and will not expect you to follow orders that aren't written down.

BUT IF YOU ARE A COP WHO ANSWERS CALLS IN AN AREA COMMAND GET THE FUCK OUT OF APD AS SOON AS YOU CAN. EDEN AND THE MERRY MEN WILL SCREW YOU OVER THE FIRST CHANCE THEY GET.

Anonymous said...

By firing Dear, the garden of Eden just put a screwing to Berry and retention bonus. The only officers signing up for it are the command staff and those who work SWAT or who work behind a desk. Everyone else is saying, screw the retention bonus (30 pieces of silver) we are getting out of here before Eden tries to screw you over. Or Fernando tries to screw you. Or Roseman tries to take pictures of your boobs, or that LT from IA sends you a picture of his penis, or Gonterman burns your ear off, or Huntsman grips you in a SWAT man love, or Wolfe gets you underneath him.

What I typed would be funny except these are the fools that run this place. JESUS get me to December 31 with my sanity.

It's fucked up & they are reporting it as a pattern that Dear never turned one his camera for other incidents either. This administration is firing people all overthe place for bullshit reasons & ppl don't even stand up for themselves. It is so obvious that Dear was made the scapegoat ...as were others

Anonymous said...

This is absolutely true. The library had been successful in firing several senior level staff due to the employees making too much money, having too much compensable sick/vacation accrued. Hard working dedicated ppl being replaced with nerdy 20 somethings who are friends of the pervert director of the library who lets a maintenance worker steal city property because the director has a man-crush on the dude. I HATE WORKING AT THE CITY!! AND I TOO AM LEAVING NEXT YEAR. CAN HARDLY WAIT.

Anonymous said...

Be strong Jeremy. Total horseshit. So now we have to have stupid cameras on all the time even when 66ng. Fucken geniuses running this ship into rocks and setting it on fire for good measure.

Anonymous said...

I had no idea your average cop was such a crybaby. You are all of you lazy, lying, corrupt, self-serving sacks of unprofessional shit, completely unwilling to do the job you signed up for. Then when people who even bigger pieces of shit than you treat you the way you treat everyone you encounter when you're "working," you throw a damn tantrum. Doesn't it suck being treated without respect by a lazy, cowardly scumbag who will shit on you just because he or she can? Please do cry more of those wonderful blue tears about it, since I'm sure Tixler is taking notes.

As for body cameras, personally I don't think they're a good idea. There's plenty of reasons they won't do what so many people think they will (reform police into an actual net positive entity), and cops already have a bunch of equipment they have to be mindful of while they do their jobs. However, all you cops sure did your damnedest to ensure that the public would demand them, so you have no one to blame but yourselves.

Anonymous said...

I want all lieutenants on up to the Chief to wear a lapel camera and show us in the field they can keep those stupid cameras on throughout the whole day for a month, without any lapses.

Once again, DOJ causes criminal behavior of Command staff. DOJ needs to focus on the lack of leadership of any command staff and lack of any education (flashing a diploma from an online university is not an education-they are nothing but paper mills!) and make them culpable. Wake up citizens. The officers on the street only do what they are trained to do. If piss poor training is all they got (Yes, Mr. Wolf you wouldn't know how to train any person to be a cop if you were given a coloring book and a bucket of crayons with specific instructions on how. You need to be ashamed of your social experiment at the academy. You need to be the one to be held responsible for all the shootings.)
then any results from those officers will be piss poor. Command staffers are now throwing officers under the bus to "prove" what capable (very laughable)leaders they are. Once again citizens you got what you voted for-dimwittedness leads to more dimwits. I am so glad I retired when I could.

Anonymous said...

The entire chain of command involving the investigation for Jeremy has to be disciplined. And if I was Tom Grover I would be checking into ALL the investigations regarding the use of lapel cameras. Jeremy is being treated just like Doyle and Woolever. He is the first DOJ sacrificial lamb since DOJ left... FIGHT TO THE END Jeremy, you have one hell of a smart lawyer on your side. Good Luck

You and your cronies brought Gordon aboard, can't you do anything right? Soon we will be singing "Where have all the cops gone"

He had a pattern all right. A pattern of requesting new lapel cameras because his kept coming unplugged. The department had a pattern of denying those requests.
Hey media, you want to see how many of those clips to fix the cord were delivered, 500. Less than 400 issued because some arrived broken. But we've issued more than 1000 cameras. How did we issue over 1000 cameras to only 800 officers. Because they are broken too.

Dear was good enough to be tasked when the Chief went too far last year arresting that drunk driver at state fair. Dear was forced to write the report. Yes, forced, because the Chief knew Dears ex was in the process of going for more child support. Now he is fired.

Unless of course they fire you and you never work again.

I hope the national media picks this up, Taser lapel cameras are a piece of junk. They know that the battery cable comes unplugged, Schultz knew it when he bought them for his kick back job. Taser sent out 500 junk plastic clips to hold the cable in place and those don't even work.

Why didn't Taser just redesign the lapel camera instead of trying to put a bandage on it?

Taser Axion Cameras are junk. If you are thinking about purchasing them, DON'T!

There are much better products, that are cheaper, on the market. Just ask Greenwood and Streicher.

After reading through these comments I am convinced that Jeremy Dear, Keith Sandy and a whole boatload of other bottom feeders in APD have more cheerleaders than the NFL. That alone is a revelation into the mentality that has put APD into the sewer. And all these cheer leaders apparently want to stay in the sewer.

The public is not your enemy, but the cops act like we are every time and why not, since you get away with murder. I've been reading this blog for awhile now and can't believe how you want to remain completely unaccountable to the public for ANYTHING. So, tell me why we should have any respect for you since you clearly do not respect the public. This is a rogue group, leaderless with the flock just complaining that there's rules to be followed. If you expect us to follow the law, why can't you follow your own policies. Any member of your ilk got off with murder today. The guy who his the motorcycle copy is all over the news because he was laughing when we had to hear there was nothing wrong with yelling "bouhay" when poor Mr. Boyd was murdered.

Jeremy Dear and Tom Grovers problems are just starting believe me! Their next step is the personnel board-it has been corrupted for years by Berry/Perry;there is supposed to be 5 members-2 appointed by the mayor,2 employees and then those 4 elect the chair. It's never at 5 members! The employees are never on the board and Doris Duhigg-Berrys attorney-tells them what he wants done! And the labor board is run in a similar manner. Zero tolerance drug testing has been thrown out by the courts because the city never bargained with the unions so what did they do? Reinstituted it! The citys a joke and corrupt as is the state of New Mexico-I cant wait to leave it behind.

12-3, 5:37pm: Shouldn't you be doing your homework and studying so you won't be held back again for another year of 7th grade? I do feel sorry for poor Mr Boyd and poor Ms Hawkes - because they didn't have anyone to turn to when the "Chicken Shit Brotherhood" decided to kill them. Your reference to "hippy" is interesting. In the 1950's they were "beatniks". "Hippies" were active in the 1960's-early 70's. So what is the label for you and your contemporaries? "Skater Boys"? I read an article that proclaimed "Skater Boys" were in huge demand in gay porn. Considering your Neanderthal thoughts and those who agree with you, think about it - that could be an avenue you could take advantage of to "get a life". You obviously don't have one now.

13/3 5:01,
No shit Sherlock. The city attorney's office outright told a hearing officer (Zane Reeves) to change a verdict on an administrative appeal (Perea) then when he did not they fired him to keep him from seeing through the bullshit on other high profile cases. Perry shows up lit to a shooting scene screaming and violating procedure. Hearing officers are bought paid for, and owned by this administration through intimidation. Officers are retaliated against for speaking out or exposing the corruption. Schultz is still treated like the Chief. The city attorney's office lies to judges and hearing officers. Tampering with cases witnesses evidence and investigations goes on unchecked. The courts are defrauded by the city attorney's office and nothing is done about it. The ex police chief has destroyed the PD and city covering his own dirty ass and those able to crush him sit idly by because they are cowards, and do not want to make waves. There is enough evidence to take down all of the actors involved in this mess 10 times over but nobody has the balls to step up. As long as selfishness and cowardice prevails, nothing will change and nobody will be prosecuted. Key figures did this for key reasons. Greed is the motivation. Good luck. Albuquerque is the most corrupt city in this country right now. The cops do not have the spine to deal with the drama and it will show when they start running away in droves. It will be happening shortly. Eden, and his DCOP and Major pervert squad will be left swinging in the breeze. It is only a matter of time.

Its very unfortunate that police around the nation are getting scrutinized the way they are. The majoriity want to do what they were sworn to do. Has there been an increase of attacks on officers. I have seen on the news that two Sheriffs officers have been attacked in the SV. One by a car and the other was beaten. Dangerous jobs to work the streets in our city

Anonymous said...

It was sure Interesting to see the graduates of the Sheriffs Department. I happened to be sitting near Chief Eden and his DCs. They all looked very surprised to see the APD officers on stage with thier BCSO relatives. The Sheriffs Dept. Cadets looked very squared away to say the least. It sad to say as an active APD officer but I do believe like the previous poster they (BCSO) are now the lead agency.

BCSO has more children of APD officers joining their ranks than APD does. What does that say.

BCSO is also at full staffing and not worried about retirements. Hmmmm I guess Eden and Berry are full of shit when they say changes to PERA are causing massive retirements. That is just a flat out lie. APD is losing officers because of Eden and Berry. BCSO has a decent command staff their deputies are staying.

Will Eden and Berry ever accept the same responsibility that they demand from their officers? Lack of command accountability tears at the fabric of our department.

If the labor board does not have 2 employees on it why have the unions not joined together to sue the city over it. Sounds like an open and shut case if any of the unions actually felt like doing some work in the courts. Hell, win a court case once in a while and the court of public opinion might start recognizing that there is actually some merit to what you've been screaming about.
Right now you just let them keep painting you as bitter greedy hot heads

Here we go again. Some posters reveal that not enough clips were ordered to fix all the cameras. That means you will never get all the footage you want. The footage that will show you how good the rest of us are at our jobs. There is 800 of us after all.
Now you magically have someone decide this is the time to yell on here about hippies and so and so deserving it.
How do you other readers fall for this everytime? You got diverted from the point by a fake poster from the city. And it worked. Just like every single other time.
So who is going to find out why only 500 clips were ordered for over 1000 cameras?

Anonymous said...

The unions are sueing over the personnel board. There are numerous cases in district court now involving the board, the mayor and his underlings. We transit drivers are bound by the contract we negotiated years ago with the city; however the city breaks the contracts then we get dragged through the courts for years because the personnel process is rotten and the board is never at 5 members. Now a lot of light is going to be shined on this process with the Jeremy Deer case who is going through the personnel process. If the board was run right it would save taxpayers millions but the French law firm won't make as much money. Draw your own conclusion.

Anonymous said...

I'm a city employee who had a positive random drug test. As a dues paying union member we had a 2nd chance policy in effect-you got a 20 day unpaid suspension and put into the drug treatment program. Only 2 employees who went through the program had another positive-all the others had no further problem-some are even supervisors now! We are all human with weaknesses and have the ability to learn from our mistakes and overcome them don't we? Why do we have to lose our careers and homes for having a small concentration of a banned substance in our urine, especially when we had excellent work records and weren't using intoxicants on the job? Let's get smart and take Albuquerque into the 21st century with some modern thinking and have city officials and labor work together and find common ground that benefits all of us instead of this us vs them mentalility.

Paul,
Yes, I do love hippies that smell like onions and pachouli. I like when they spot me at the gym as they stand there with their ballsacks over my face while I am bench pressing. As I breathe my hot scotch breath up their gym shorts, lightly steaming their scrotum, there is nothing like a spiced tea bag in the morning in a west side gym to get the day going. I think I am in love with you. You are a freak like me and I like that. Maybe we can hang out in the sauna after getting all pumped up and sweaty next week. I will bring the scotch. You bring the coconut oil. Sometimes I go to twin peaks to look at women that I could never have, but don't take it personal or think that I wouldn't kiss a seasoned old hippy man. In fact, I would love to kiss and fondle you in ways that would make you leave your wife. Maybe I could even move into your Broke back Placitas Mountain home and we could make this a regular thing. What do ya say?
