The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. How does the Media Pick and Choose?

In a recent story carried by KOB 4 (READ IT HERE) the media picks and chooses how they wish to put a “spin” on a story for their ratings benefit.  They selected to bash an APD officer who enjoys praise as a “terrific employee” and on the other hand paints APD and City leaders as victims.

How is it that APD, who is now under Federal control, the victim? How is it that ex-chief Schultz is facing criminal indictments, the victim?  How is it that droves of top brass have fled in fear of the collapse of APD, now the victims?  How is it that Richard J. Berry who has lead the City of Albuquerque to be one of the worst City’s in the United States of America for crime, now the victim?  The fact is; APD Administration and the City leaders are not the victims; they are the offending parties.  This is not hearsay these are facts.

The opening statement of the story states, “…a blog used to disparage the Albuquerque Police Department and city leaders…” the facts don't lie; APD Administration and City leaders have failed the community and the Eye On Albuquerque has called them out on their devilish deeds. How does this become disparaging? Do the job you were hired to do, do it right and do it morally correct and you will never hear anything from the Eye On Albuquerque.

The second paragraph of the story states, “…operating under the screen name "Stealth" to write hateful, embarrassing and often untrue posts on the website ‘Eye on Albuquerque.’” There is nothing hateful about the truth.  If an APD Administrator or City leader gets embarrassed for conducting themselves or City business unethically; they deserve to be embarrassed.  As for the “untrue” statement; please back it up with facts.  The Eye On Albuquerque does not post a story until they have two different and separate sources to verify what has been stated.  Our stories have stood the test of time and time has shown and proven; our stories are and have been true. Simply stated here our critics; put up or shut.

By telling the truth the Eye On Albuquerque has never:

  • Diminished public trust and confidence in APD
  • Personally attacked APD's leadership and city leaders
  • Lowered morale at APD and used bad judgment
  • Used information learned while on duty against APD

However, these are the legitimate and Bona-Fide charges against APD Administrators and City Leaders. This action against Roberto isn’t personally motivated or a personal attack?  The hope was to silence the “Whistle Blower.”

Now that the facts are straight; ask the DOJ why they took over the APD by a forced Federal court action?

One final thought on this story. The Eye has been told APD Administrators and City Leaders solicited assistance from the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI).  How is that APD Administrators and City leaders managed to get the FBI involved in an employment action but they can’t get the FBI involved in solving a rape or murder?  If this does not prove beyond a reasonable doubt the City will stop at literally nothing to silence their critics; nothing will.  The ADP Administrators and City leaders who sought assistance from the FBI should be prosecuted for gross negligence.  The DOJ should now focus their attention on why the Federal Bureau of Investigations would waste valuable resource on an employment action.

PS- Here is a question that should be asked about the hearing officer, Pete Camacho.  It is clear to us Camacho was unsure in his own decision stating: "I find [Roberto] did commit acts that indicate a lack of moral character that would adversely affect her ability to exercise the duties of a certified law enforcement officer.”  Read what he was thinking and expressed in his opinion; “…did commit acts that indicate a lack of moral character…” We must ask; what does Camacho mean by “indicates?”  If Mr. Camacho was given clear and convincing evidence the statement should have stated: "I find [Roberto] did commit acts that exhibited a lack of moral character that would adversely affect her ability to exercise the duties of a certified law enforcement officer.”  The word indicates of a suggestive nature and is not believable.  Since the hearing Officer, Pete Camacho is unsure of his own opinion, did someone “grease the wheels” like Schultz did for Tazer?

And yes, the Eye On Albuquerque is alive, well and very active.

Schultz is accused of violating laws on the Taser pay to play yet the NMLEA Board doesn't open an LEA 90 on him, even though there have been numerous requests. LT Brachle shoots and almost kills his own detective, yet again the NMLEA Board refuses to open an LEA 90 investigation.

What is an LEA 90? It is the investigation into an officer that can lead to the officer losing their certification. Why is it that no one on the LEA Board watches the news? Why do they only go after the low level officer and they refuse to address command staff officers who's actions should cause them to have their certification revoked. Why Hector? Why does a police chief or citizen have to send you a complaint? Why can't the LEA Board read the news and open their own investigation?

No what you think of Dawne Roberto it will be nothing less than criminal for her not to be a Police Officer in New Mexico. She is one of the best. Once again Eye you hit the nail right on the head. Who's fault is it that A.P.D. is in the mess it is in ? Is it the City Administration or the person who tried to get the truth out ? Richard Berry was told what was going to happen but he chose to not to listen. Now we are all on the hook for millions of dollars. Who is at fault of this domestic violence brought on the citizens of Albuquerque, the tax payers ? Is it the taxpayer or those that have sat in silence and allowed it to happen. Is the cheer of the administration SILENCE THOESE THAT SPEAK OUT,FIRE THEM AS A LESSON TO ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD DARE SPEAK UP. Have you ever asked yourself why every one on this cite posts anonymous ? Maybe we should ask those that have paid the price for speaking out. If Mayor Berry would like to debate this issue with me in public, name the time and place. I will be there.

These boards are a crock of shit. They are staffed by people who are doing favors for the mayor, police chief, and corrupt administration. There is no fairness. If these personnel boards and hearings were looked at, they would never pass the smell test. These boards are not fair because they are stacked. The Mayor is a liar, and he intentionally delayed the appointment of the board members elected by the employees in order to stack the deck. They have been stacking the deck for the last few years with a board hired by Berry, and their feet held to the fire to side with the city by Perry. Every case that has been heard against the law with only three of Berry's hand chosen board members should be challenged in a class action lawsuit. The city has broken the law, and violated the civil rights, and right to a fair and impartial due process of it's employees. After intentional tampering with these cases, and a verdict upholding wrongful action against employees, it is usually rubber stamped through the appeals process, leaving a wronged employee with few options to be made while again. No wonder why APD can get no applicants. All of this has been happening coincidentally during the most high profile terminations in the history of APD where the Mayor, and those responsible have a vested stake and political interest in the outcome going in their direction. The Mayor's little elf Gilbert will say that they want fairness, but that is a lie too. This administration covers up anything that does not benefit them. The city attorney's office and the Mayor are the biggest cry babies when things don't go their way every single time. They were caught lying in the Perea case, and expected the means to justify the ends. It does not work that way, and they were caught on it. Now they still cry foul over it, and blame a board member for costing them money when a judge even upheld Reeves's decision after the city appealed it. Yet these criminals forget about the over $30,000,000 that Schultz cost the city. They also do not mention the $8,000,000 that Lampiris cost the city and the $6,000,000 that the two officers who shot Torres's kid cost the city, or the million that the officer who killed Gomez who was unarmed cost the city. Perry leaves out that all of these officers are still employed and some were promoted. They are getting paid to occupy positions out of the way within the department. Perry leaves that all out, and makes one case where the city was sided against his crying point, because he knows what was done with Reeves was intentional, and they have manipulated the board to make sure rulings in these controversial cases went the way they wanted them to. Those instances are all ok, because that is what the city wanted while they were trying to justify all of these shootings. Perry also leaves out the millions that inaction against those politically connected will cost the city down the road in cases like the Sanchez and Grant cases where officers are proven liars and supervisors have shot their own officers. It all comes down to a bunch of liars who refuse to admit a mistake and be held accountable.

You are a liar Berry and your little hired liars are getting to be annoying with their fleecing of the citizens and their constant bullshit propaganda. Gilbert is your paid liar.

It is amazing the media would slam the eye while using it to ipra documents and develop leads for their own stories. Since every news outlet copyrights their stories and stealth can prove multiple times that the stories that originated here were good enough for the media to take and run with then the outlet who made these remarks has opened themselves up to a slander and libel suit.
If it is true that the fbi assisted in investigating the eye the only justification would be if there was concern that an ongoing federal investigation was leaked. If there wasnt then it is the grounds for a hell of a first amendment lawsuit. I dont believe it though. I think this is another tactic used by puppy petter and the purple minions to divert everyones attention away from the state of the city and department. What can we talk about today that truly doesnt matter. Peacocks. How about the peacocks. Thats headline making right?

42 officers have quit APD in just the first 6 months of this year! APD is below 800 officers (stop counting the ones on early retirement). The survey is correct, it is Berry, Perry and Eden's fault. Soon there will be no officers left at APD, then who will they blame?

KOB : Is it true that your employee Steve Stucker and Lynette H. are very good friends ? Lynette testified against Officer Roberto. People are talking about this. Is this why you attacked The Eye ? Please answer so this strong rumor can be put to rest. I know you will be honest in your answer.

Where did the so called survey get us. City council pays to see why officers are leaving, the majority says it has nothing to do with money and everything to do with leadership. The mayor says the officers are just whining and the topic is dropped. It just shows once again that the opinion of city employees means nothing to the politicians. As an officer who is eligible for retirement, I had hoped the councilors would get the hint that money is not keeping people here. I along with at least 10 others that I know of will be leaving in dec. and although the joke of an academy we have is pumping people out as fast as they can, it will never be enough as long as we have the same 6 idiots running the department.

It's so sad watching this city deteriorate. Every time you turn around there's another story about someone getting ripped off or someone becoming the victim of a crime that the police should be preventing. And although I rarely read the news, I did see where the PIO said If it's not life threatening then the police will respond when then can or if they can at all. Sad thing is, for most peopl, we have spent out hole lives working hard for what we have and have a criminal take it all and the police not caring is a tragedy. Having to wait 6 hrs for an officer to show up to take a report is pathetic. Where is the media? The advertise that they are the voice for New Mexicans but then they don't report on the things that matter. I don't give a rats ass that Marisa maes is getting married for the 12th time or that the weather man can't live without pizza. What I care about is that I can't leave my home for more than an hr with out worrying about having my property stolen. I've tried calling the commander in the NW several times but apparently she only works from 10-12. And calling the chiefs office is like trying to get through to the president. I have zero respect for anyone in a position of authority with APD. So since it seams like this blog is ran by the officers, can you offer any advice?

Move. Thats what we all did. Not even the deputy chiefs live in the city anymore. Hell it isnt just apd. Winston Brooks when he ran aps. Fire chiefs. Name the top 3 bosses in any city department and I'll bet you a weeks pay at least 2 of them live in the east mountains or rio rancho.
No other city the size of albuquerque lets bosses live outside the city. Then again as often as Berry is gone, not on city business, do he and Susanna even meet the residency requirements anymore?
