The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. WELCOME TO ALBUQUERQUE! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!

UPDATE. Here is a link for APD Officer Dan Webster's fund raising page: https://www.gofundme.com/e56yf4rt

If people know of one for APD Detective Jacob Grant Please let us know for his injuries injuries caused by the careless conduct of APD Lt. Greg Brachle.

Do you watch the local news?  We at the EYE  ask this question because if you do you will surely realize that CRIME in Albuquerque is out of control and that the Police can't protect you.  In fact you might be expected to act as the police.

A few examples as reported by local media, KRQE reports a police dispatcher tells the victim of a car  theft in which her stove top was contained in her car that was stolen.  After seeing the stove top for sale on the internet, the dispatcher to her to play detective and act as if she is interested in purchasing the stove top. Wait she should put herself in danger ?  Do we have a Police Department ?

Sonic Restaurant , Montgomery at Eubank street racers getting in fights and raising hell to the point where surrounding businesses are in fear for the safety of their customers and employees.  These businesses had to go to the extreme of building fences to keep the hell raisers out.

Adams at Zuni , three people run down by a hit and run driver and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

Central at Tramway, one person run down by a hit and run driver and sent to the hospital in critical condition.  KOAT reports that violent crime is up 15%  in Albuquerque. KOB reports  that women are the victims of robberies while sitting in their cars at shopping centers.  Bodies are being found across the city, in driveways, along the roadside, in vacant lots, and in allies, almost on a daily bases.

Even the bike paths are not safe. The city has even had signs put up on the bike paths from 12th Street to Rio Grande along I-40:  RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Barbara Taylor, city spoke person tried to spin it saying similar signs have been put up in other cities and showed examples. No other sign said ride at your own risk. Well Barbara this is not other cities, this is our city.  By the way, our brand new sign was covered in graffiti.  What is next ? Are we going to give up parts of the City to the criminals? Looks like we already have.

Here is the TRUTH, The Police can not protect you , all they can do is respond and pick up the pieces.  You must protect yourself.  Mayor Berry lies about staffing problems but we will look at that in another story. If you didn't vote you are partly to blame.  Things will never change until we nobody's force a change by using the power of the vote. It has gotten to the point that signs need to be erected along I40 and I 25 stating:

"WELCOME TO ALBUQUERQUE! ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!"

The culture started with Shultz. He disbanded all the CR units City wide. He got rid of the 4 10's shift which fully staffed all Area Commands. Tried several times to take away take home vehicle privileges, He made it acceptable for the media to bash the PD at every turn, he fired a lot of good cops, decimated the numbers of Detectives in SID (once there were 4 Narcotics units now 1, Gang unit was fully staffed now just 5 or 6). Shultz's immediate war against Officers turned the once great Department into a joke. Mayor Berry continues to ignore the defunct Department and temporarily places Banks in the Chief spot. Banks couldn't lead himself out of a paper sack. Then comes the political hack Eden. After an expensive "nationwide search" paid to an out of State firm to find a Chief, Susanna orders Berry to hire this clown. The Mayor and City Council sell they're own Department up the river to the DOJ. The brass then steals bonus money meant for the rank and file, continues to promote dumb ass yes men/women, lie about numbers, threaten Officers, all while the Union slugs sit on their hands and watch. No wonder there is low morale in the Department. Now the citizens of Albuquerque are going to pay dearly for these so called leaders.

Totally agree, its been two years and I;m debating going this year, your city is out of control, heck just do what my parents did, 3 rows of barbed wire around the top of a metal fence, add some cameras and become a prisoner in your own home, and yes its in the North Valley.......so sad...

On another note, you all need the APOA to be the poster for recruits......lack of physical body strength needed, "damn they eat good"......Porkers!!

Holy shit! In a matter of days, a 4 year-old and a police officer shot, not to mention all the other crimes that have taken place. WTF? How could Berry, Perry, Eden, and every other shithead at city hall and APD 5th floor let this happen? Probably because it hasn't happened to themselves or a loved one, yet. Watch what happens when it does. I would bet my next paycheck that when any violent crime towards Berry or one of his family members occurs, he will quit and move like a little scared bitch. Berry knows he owns this problem and caused all of it. Things were not like this under Marty Chavez. That schmuck Perry is in for a rude awakening soon. His lip-service ain't going to keep every victim of violent crime from suing the city. He's an appointed CAO and not an attorney for a reason. Victims should be lining up to sue this city. And not through the corrupt Kennedys. The lack of police on the streets will catch up to them. Victims need to hold the city responsible in order to create change and force Berry to bring APD numbers back up. He obviously can't see the light or listen to his constituents. There is absolutely no reason why we shouldn't have two cops respond to every call. That's Policing 101.
All I know is, as a registered republican, I won't ever vote for a republican for mayor or governor in the future. Berry and Martinez have done well to educate my mind. The DNC thanks you.

This city has always been violent. But we always had police to protect us. Your right eye, it's time to protect ourselves. The DOJ has tied the officers hands to the point they pull out tasers in a gun fight. And the ball less wonders on the 5th floor sit back and do nothing. Yeah they shed a few fake tears when the cameras are on but do nothing to fix it. The chief blames it all on a revolving justice system door but is letting his own police department dwindle down further day by day. If you wanna protect your officers, fire all your staff, then quit.

Will somebody please keep the APOA pres and vice pres off the TV. They look like two overweight zombies on the walking dead. I've never seen more incompetent people. They make absolutely make no sense when they talk to the media. It's sad that no one else wants to gets involved and that's the best the officers can get.

So the legislature meets in 30 days and the mayor thinks he's gonna get crime legislation and police re-hire legislation passed? The idiots spend 2 weeks every session arguing red vs green chili. Most won't pass stricter penalties because they all have relatives who are repeat criminals. Just in the last month you've had 2 elected officials leave for being criminals and 1 leave because her son is a murderer. And if Berry thinks he's going to get a flood of rehires wanting to come back to this crappy administration, working a graveyard shift then he's out of his free kin mind

The other night on Channel 4 after the suspect who shot the 4you girl was arrsted, Mayor Berry came on during the news cast and said Albuquerque is safer than it has been in the last 25 years, and probably safer than it ever has been. Less than 3 hours later, the Officer was shot by a Black Lives Matter poster child. What an absolute disaster all the way around.

10:33,
You are damn right. This falls squarely on Schultz's shoulders, and this dumb ass mayor who should have fired him. When Schultz started framing up officers to deflect attention away from his criminal activities, it sent chills through out the department resulting in a ripple effect. He got caught lying on every officer that he fired, from the time the DoJ said they were coming, while he was putting his Taser deal together and nothing was done. Every officer on the department knew he was dirty, and what he was doing to those officers was dirty, and being done to distract the DoJ from coming, and finding out about all of the illegal things he was involved in, like the no bid sole source Kauffman's west contracts, the no bid taser contracts, red light cameras, copperfire systems, rigging LEA board hearings to protect his friends and fixing them to bury the cops he wanted buried. Schultz controlled everything he needed to to have things done his way. This is why the whole department was intimidated. Schultz was a bully, tyrant, criminal, and coward. Someone here said Sargent Peck was involved in a LLC with Nate Korn who sat on the law enforcement board. How can someone have an LLC, get contracts from Schultz, then call the shots on cases involving IA investigations done By Peck on the orders of Schultz? These people have wrecked people's lives, and it is all out there. Morale is in the toilet, and because of the lies Schultz told the public through the media, using the Journal and KOAT. Schultz's actions put APD in disrepute worse than any officer in the history of the department could have. That is a fireable offence, and he did it to cover up the crimes he was committing, yet he saves another chief's certification so that chief can return the favor, and hire him to work at the Memorial Villages Police Department in Texas where he still is.
And he still can't stop lying. In his bio on the police department website, it says how he chose to work there specifically because of the excellent reputation of the department. It is funny how he does not mention how he previously worked on the LEA board in New Mexico with the now MEMORIAL VILLAGES TX POLICE DEPARTMENT police chief JD Sanders, nor does it mention how JD Sanders was up to have his certification revoked until Jack Jones up at the Academy represented Sanders at his revocation hearing, and Korn agreed to take no action on his cert at the request of good ol Ray. Every other officer has to have representation present in the room, and they still get steamrolled, but somehow this guy has academy staff say nothing happened, and they let him keep his cert after he resigned from Hobbs NM PD in lieu of termination. This is some pretty amazing stuff. Sanders was actually in Texas interviewing with the Memorial Villages city administration at the time of his certification, and Jones stated to the board that was his reason for not being at his hearing. Any other officer would have been default revoked. Coincidentally, a few months later Raymond D. Schultz is hired as assistant chief which is a position that that dozen man police department never had previously. This person has wrecked the city of Albuquerque and it's police department for his own gained framed officers and attempted to fraudulently and maliciously prosecute people and committed official corruption crimes, involving numerous state and federal agencies and businesses, and he is still working in law enforcement, he still has his certification and he still collects a pension.

Schultz should face charges for his actions. When a fair but ruthless and relentless prosecutor comes along this will all change overnight because people like Ray are cowards and they know when to run. They need to be prohibited from running, and they need to be punished severly because these people at the highest levels have betrayed trust that not many are entrusted with.

How many times do we have to watch Eden and Berry fake like they are crying on television so that they can make people pitty them and stop calling them out for their lies and failures? They say this is a national trend but I do not see other police chiefs and mayors crying on television in other big cities. I think everyone is on to the slimy games these posers play. These two do not care about anyone but themselves. This is sickening. If I get shot and they come to see me they will get a bed pan full of piss thrown in their faces.

When I tell people that my son is an ex-Albuquerque police officer, their first response is to the effect..."man, Albuquerque is a bad place, glad he's not there anymore." I can only agree. Schultz, Eden, Berry, the so called APOA are all complicit in the corruption that has made Albuquerque the septic tank it has become. Also, Albuquerque has a nation wide reputation as being a hell hole that is out of control. Congratulations to the citizens of Albuquerque....you are what you have created by your lack of voter participation. Enjoy your descent into the abyss!

4:20,
The DOJ has not tied anyone's hands. Berry, Schultz, Perry and the rest of the malfeasant coward self servers tied the officers hands behind their backs when they started scape goating officers to protect schultz.

3:18,
This scum bag administration let this happen because not a personal dollar has been taken out of their pockets nor have they been held accountable for the official corruption they commit.

If you want justice, do not allow the cowards Eden, Berry and the rest of them to fool you with their fake crying and struggle to force tears out of the same hypocritical eyes that have watched what their corruption has created. Continue to call these liars out, and ignore their fake drama queen bullshit, because it is all a scam to take the heat off of their backs. The only people who deserve sympathy here are Dan, his family, the officers who dealt with and deal with these situations, Lilly, her family and friends, and every crime victim defrauded by a lying mayor, his staff and former police chief who filled his pockets, fucked over a whole city and ran to another state leaving all of this behind.

Has everyone forgotten Jacob Grant? The Journal, KOAT, KOB, KRQE, none of them even mention him when they speak of officers critically injured in the line of duty. Has Grant's brothers in blue forgotten him? I just received an email from Eden and Roseman (hope you choke on your stolen retention money freeze frame), saying Papa Johns Pizza is donating all proceeds on October 26 to Dan Webster. That is great, but what is Eden and this command criminals doing for Jacob Grant? nothing, and no one cares.

Berry is going to be on Bob Clark's show on 770 AM KKOB Thursday morning at 9 am on October 29, 2015. It seems it's always the same few people willing to stand up, well now every single one of you needs to call in and demand that Berry take responsibility for this debacle. Demand that he immediately settle the APOA contract and lawsuit. Demand that Berry own this entire mess. If you don't call in then you are a coward.

8:31 The Department's handling of Detective Grant's situation is reprehensible. The chain of command, specifically Commander Brown and DC Garcia, had prior knowledge of Lt Brachle's reckless behavior during his tenure in Narcotics. This behavior includes 1) The injury of a child in an accident that occurred as a result of an unauthorized chase in an undercover vehicle, 2) Narrowly avoided severe injury to detectives when he rammed the side of a suspect's vehicle while detectives were already at the driver's window attempting to take the driver into custody and 3) Ramming an informant's vehicle because he thought it was the offender's vehicle (yes, he was at the briefing and should've known better). Just to name a few.
Commander Brown never took any disciplinary action against Lt Brachle, yet Brown was often heard making disparaging comments about Brachle. In fact, Brown's disdain for Brachle was such that the entire Narcotics Unit was neglected as a result. DC Garcia was the Commander of SID before being promoted to DC over SID and he was very well aware of the issues with Lt Brachle, yet he chose to do nothing.
One can see that it's relatively easy to infer that Brown and Garcia's failure to supervise ultimately resulted in Detective Grant being shot eight times by Lt Brachle. Lets not forget this was not the first shooting Bracle was involved in where he emptied his entire firearm at his intended target.
Instead of being decertified and fired, Lt Brachle is accompanying the Inspections Unit during their daily duties while he quietly waits to retire next year. Ironic, given the fact that Brachle wasn't able to follow Department policy himself, including the 5 rules of firearm safety and the standard two round defensive response.
It's worth mentioning that this isn't an isolated incident within SID. Corruption involving informants, Gang Unit Detectives running over a suspect, the Boyd shooting and the improper use of the Intelligence Unit are some examples of senior leadership (DC and Commander) not being held responsible for the actions of their personnel. Instead, they are allowed to sweep things under the rug and make them go away. Let's face it, renaming the ROP Unit and assigning them to a Federal agency where they continue their same duties isn't exactly within the spirit of the DOJ agreement which requires the ROP Unit be DISBANDED.
SID is out of control because the leadership is asleep at the wheel. Why is the Chief afraid to reassign Commander Brown? Something needs to be done. The Department owes that to Jacob Grant. It's their neglect in allowing these things to happen that led to his being shot by Lt Brachle, a member of the SID command staff. Quit protecting your own and try taking care of an officer that was actually out there putting it on the line for his community.

Grants entire chain of command are freekin cowards. I don't care if Grant changed spots, waved his arms, or barked like a dog. How in the hell is this his fault? Brachle shot him 8+ times. If it was a 1 shot accident then mabey I could understand but 8? Brachle is worse than the shit head that shot Webster. At least we know that guy is the criminal and no one is trying to hide it. How the chief, DC Garcia, and Fat Brown can live with themselves is a mystery. Throwing the blame on the victim just to save the city money is the biggest crime in this whole mess. Garcia is quick to always tell us how he fights for his people. I've never seen it. But where are you know? Your a DC with 25 years on. If a person with that kind of security won't speak up then who will?

Anonymous said...

This is all due to lowlife scum bag politicians. Berry and company can't take enough advantage of an officer getting shot, because Berry and the APD brass are nothing but a bunch of opportunistic perverts. The comments about officer Grant are right. What do these deficient defective losers have that protects them? You have a moron of a lieutenant that lights an officer up, and NOTHING is done to the guy. As a matter of fact, he is rewarded with a cake assignment, while the department stalls and lies to the DA's office about the investigation. It is something else when who you are related to, what you have done for people, or what you know about people, and dirt you have trumps the right thing. The comment below is spot on. If that were a cop, he would have been crucified, the report would have been released the next day along with the video. While everyone is genuinely hurting over Webster and Lilly, the scum bags looking for cover are using every minute to make this about how much they care, their fake bullshit whining and tears they can't even get out of their lying faces. Well, they forget how much we remember about them fucking over officers and destroying the place. Eden can lie his ass off at Dear's hearing, but he can pick up little girls for photo ops in restaurants. You probably threw your back out on that one Caitlyn. Officers have been getting shot, stabbed, run over, fired unjustly, and betrayed by their own for years now. The department and union has been silent, but now they want to blow up their facebook pages, blowing their own horns (See what I am doing. Look at me everyone. Aren't I such a great guy) when they didn't have the balls to do anything about the real reason for all of this shit OR better yet, THEY are directly responsible. It is easy to be there when you are getting paid for it. I am suprised that Berry Eden and Martinez haven't held a cryathon. If anyone hasn't seen what piss poor leadership is they need to take a field trip here. Come see a place where the leaders burn their own to protect themselves, attack everyone around them when they get caught lying, and breaking laws, sit back, and let the place fall apart, then point the fingers at everyone and everywhere else and blame everyone and everything but themselves. Then you get to watch with dumbfounded amazement as they give themselves the grade of an "A" for performance as they claim they are the ones to fix what they broke and clean up the mess THEY made. Then, when that hasn't worked you get to see a real coward and hypocrite in action when they opportunistically deviate from their standard practice of hiding and evading to become quite the social butterfly when a tragedy happens that they can use to make people percieve them as something they are the complete opposite of. You can tell a fake by his awkwardness.

Anonymous said...

Drobik should probably just shut the fuck up. It is no suprise that something just looks seedy and shady with that guy. When you carry water and lie like Drobik and Tanner do for Berry and Eden, you do not care about your fellow officer. As a matter of fact you are the vermin that makes life hard for your fellow officer. You are what your fellow officer hates more than a criminal or lying politician like Berry. You are tge scuzz that betrays everyone to disseminate lies to further your own career while those lies make the lives of a street cop worse. Every cop who saluted Schultz on his way out the door that day, and everyone that doesn't have to hold back the urge to spit in Berry's face should rethink their purpose in law enforcement.

Anonymous said...

Why doesn't the holy grail of the APOA Pres and Vice Pres. say something about the lack of support for Det. Grant? They are afraid they might loose their casual Friday's costumes and have to get in shape to go back to the streets. So much for the brotherhood in blue.

http://www.koat.com/news/responses-filed-in-shooting-lawsuit/36065430

Typical APD Brass response, guided by a criminal city attorney's office to paint out the victim as the one who was wrong. NOTHING can explain an officer shooting another officer that many times, when you are taught to be sure of your target, if it is a threat and BE SURE OF your backstop. The city attorney just can not resist pointing the finger at their accusers every single time they face scrutiny. It is their M.O. At every turn. Enable wrong, they cry victim when caught. Has anyone ever seen anything more pathetic than a city admin with endless resources constantly crying that They are the ones being bullied every single time they are held accountable. Every officer involved in that buy should be testifying to that wreckless behavior. All those rounds and the dealers are in better shape than the officers. Speaking of officers. The other officer was shot in the back. I hope she is suing also. Grant didn't use caution?!? Are you kidding me? Maybe he should have took lessons from keanu reeves on how to dodge bullets while sitting in his car seat. What kind of carelessness was the other officer guilty of? I guess she didn't take the bullet dodging class either. No wonder nobody wants to work for The Albuquerque Police department. This place is upside down, backwards inside out, and wrong in every way it can be. It defies logic and those running is are honorless scum who are only clinging on for the high three in their crummy pensions. Garcia, Roseman, Eden, Brown, you are all a bunch of punks.

REMEMBER THAT MAYOR RICHARD BERRY THINKS IT IS PERFECTLY OK FOR A CORRUPT ADMINISTRATION TO CARRY OUT ATROCIOUS ACTS ON IT'S CITIZENS AND EMPLOYEES, THEN ENDLESSLY PROVIDING COVER AND REPRESENTATION FOR CHOSEN VIOLATORS WITH TAX DOLLARS LIKE IT IS THEIR OWN PERSONAL DEFENSE FUND.

The city says they should be off the hook because Grant is getting 70% of his pay through disability when he worked to be a cop and would have had opportunities to promote. I hope he takes Brachle's house, along with Fat Les's.

DO NOT TAKE A JOB WITH THE ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT. DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING THE ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT RECRUITING TELLS YOU. IT IS ALL SMOKE AND MIRRORS. TAKING A JOB WITH THE ALBUQUERQUE POLICE DEPARTMENT WILL RUIN YOUR LIFE, OR GET YOU KILLED.

When are you bitchers and whiners going to step up to replace the APOA Pres and VP? Oh, that's right, no one has the balls to deal with Sigala's mess or city hall. Looks like Steph has more balls than anyone. If you don't like what the APOA does, then show up, express your opinion, run for a position, get off your lazy ass, or shut the fuck up. Don't be afraid to fail or get your ass kicked once in a while. It's all part of the game. Now is the time for the union to jump all over this administration while it's in turmoil in order to solidify the power balance before the next administration takes office. You all have the power to decimate the 5th and 11th floors, but refuse to unite. There will be disagreements, but everything should go to a vote and then follow it through. If it fails to work, vote again and try something else. Ask Local 244 for the opportunity to sit in at some meetings or for guidance on how things are done administratively, politically, legislatively, and collectively. Steph has that opportunity and gets good advice but she will never be someone that city hall is afraid of. The reason why, she has no backing from the members. She is forced to play both sides and maintain a cozy relationship just to get by. If she didn't, you wouldn't have a fucking Union. Do you all realize how many other police departments (Bernalillo for one) would love to have Union representation, a contract, a voice?
Look at how many times the Firefighters L244 President has been knocked down. He gets back up and has the backing from his members and union officers to shrug it off to move forward. He is well respected by the very enemies he has battled. No one cares how the media demonizes union leaders at Berry's or Perry's order. It makes the media and the politicians look stupid. Obviously they failed to crush the unions like they said they would, thanks to L244.
You and your Union will make mistakes, but that's better than doing nothing. If you want change, then go fucking do it like the many men had done before you came along. Some fought for your wages, some for benefits, some for retirement, some for laws, and some to oust the shitheads. Those men didn't even know who the fuck you are, but made damn sure you and your family were taken care of. Keep it going and put up a good fight for what's right. Work with the other unions to become strong, but don't be afraid to pave your own road when you need to. Always call out the rats that try to derail the union's convictions.

Anonymous said...

Old School. Obviously you live in a different world than the rest of the officers on APD. The only reason 95% of officers are in the union now is because they have to be. If you gave officers a option to keep their money and just wing it, there would be 10 members left total. We pay 5 times what we did 10 years ago and we get nothing in return. Officers are now being fired and diciplined at a record rate. I have been in meetings with the brass and can tell you that they have zero respect for the union and will only compromise when they have something to gain. The last union meeting I attended was a joke. You couldn't even understand what was being said because the board were stuffing their faces with food while talking. Several people had good ideas but the board wouldn't even give them the time of day. I, unlike the pres and VP, came to APD to be a cop, not sit around all day at the union office bitching and eating on the union dime. But when someone says if you don't get involved then don't bitch, I'll reply, as long as your taking money out of my check then I'll bitch all I want. If your truly "old school" then you'd realize this isn't the same union or political environment we were in 15-20 years ago. Police unity isn't the same and reasons to run for union office has become a excuse for getting/staying out of the field.
