The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Backs to Berry

One of our regular Eyes, told us of the following Facebook post by retired APD sergeant Dan Klein. As you know, Sgt. Klein is one of the few cop's cops out there and calls it exactly as he sees it. And we couldn't agree more. Thank you Sgt. Klein!

"For six years Richard Berry has turned his backs on APD officers. He refused to honor the agreed upon APOA contract, he left chiefs in place who were ethically challenged, he hired a chief who has no experience, he allowed APD command staff to take money that was clearly meant for the beat cops, he created hiring requirements that have failed in the past, he removed the senior officer retention bonus plan and he refuses to settle the 6 year contract dispute. 432 officers have fled APD since this guy became mayor. Crime is way up. Yet the only excuses Berry comes up with are "it's the legislature's fault" or "it's PERA's fault". Never holding himself accountable for his destructive mismanagement of APD.

The police department probably has less than 800 sworn officers and beat cops will tell you, the streets are dangerous because there is no back up.

Berry turned his back on APD six years ago, it's time to return the message."

If there was ever a time for every single officer to stand up to Berry and the rest, now is the time. Honor Officer Webster by your act; tell the media the community is fed up because you represent us now in this; tell the world we won't stand for police officers being gunned down because you ARE NOT SAFE NOW. And, if you are not safe, we are not safe.

Be courageous! We are counting on you.

Nice to see that the Mayor & Chief pull their heads out of their asses long enough for photo ops when an Officer is killed in the line of duty. After the funeral tomorrow things will go back to normal with the department and the field will still be short officers, calls will stack, there will be no back up. Only field officers will will be required to wear lapel cameras and when they don't they will be disciplined. Same shit...........................................

Hope everyone attending the funeral tomorrow wears their boots because the shit is going to be flowing and its gonna get deep.

Remember when Ken Shultz was Mayor and we (traffic officers) refused to shake his hand on civic plaza. He never threatened us again!!!!

I don't believe I would allow a Mayor or CAO that has never had the backs APD & AFD speak at my husbands funeral. They will sit center stage and pretend they are saddened by the horrendous loss.

I find it hilarious that a cop apologist blog, such as The Eye wants to hold Berry accountable but not one word of personal accountability when it comes to Sandy, Perez, Casaus, Dear, et. al? You can't have it both ways can you? In other words, you preach accountability on the streets when you hook a bad guy right? You preach accountability on your blog with Berry and the 5th floor contribution to this fucked up city but what about your personal contributions as peace officers? If you are hired to keep the streets clean, shouldn't you also keep your own floors clean?

Following is the narrative on Mayor Berry copied and taken from the City Website (THIS IS NO JOKE,ITS ON THE CITY WEB SITE):

Mayor Berry's Accomplishments

Since his election in late 2009, Mayor Berry has successfully worked to drop the crime rate in Albuquerque to some of the lowest levels in 20 years and has brought the City to the national forefront for transparency and accountability.

He has cut the size of local Government while keeping city employees on the job and services to the community intact. He has accomplished this without raising taxes and has consistently worked to provide value for taxpayers.

Sandy, Perez, Casaus, Dear, I see your point, under a leader less department that's what you get, rouge cops.

As for tomorrow the "new" APD is ball less, nothing will happen, ray-ray and banks will show up and kiss ass as normal, show that Texas also cares, LOL!!

Webster will be a fart in the wind same time next week......

Sandy, Perez are no better than those the eye calls scum. If PD had balls they would turn their backs on these two instead of raising money for their defense! Like was already said, you can't have both ways. I bet not one of you in blue will turn your back on Berry.

Really?
No disrespect intended for a fallen police officer, but was it really necessary to parade the body all over the Albuquerque metro? I can understand swinging by HQ and given a last call, but this was just fucking ridiculous. Traffic jams everywhere, roads closed for hours, shithead motors and state coppers being dicks to citizens, and the total inconvience to half of the city population! What a spectacle. Looked like balloon fiesta all over again. Who the fuck came up with this procession route and the ensuing clusterfuck? Would have been a great day for the thugs to rob banks and businesses in this city. Not a cop to be seen anywhere, besides the funeral.

Ha-ha, flipping losers, no balls for anything, you all get what you deserve, if you start dropping like flies oh well!

Push them on out Bradi!!!

Again-With all due respect to the beat cops and the good guys who do a F-ing impossible job, You had ONE chance to make a statement and you missed it!!! Instead of a humble procession that showed respect for the fallen officer AND the citizens, COPS chose to ACT like COPS ACT!!! they feel they are part of this unbreakable "brotherhood"

BULLSHIT!! you guys backstab eachother worse than the "criminals" do! SEE LEVI CHAVEZ!! he was banging wives of his "brothers" and are we to believe his wife REAllY took her own life!?? please wake the F up!! Rank and File turning their backs on their two "LEADER" would have showed the citizens that you mean what you say and you say what you mean AND YOU REALLY ARE JUST ONE OF US. instead the brotherhood of protecting assholes lives on!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Citizen is nothing but one of Berry, Eden, and that fat little witch Martinez's plants, coming here to start shit on this blog. It is probably that skinney necked punk McCleskey. Several high ranking members of the administration have been overheard talking about playing head games with the public over the attacks being directed their way. They plan to use social media, blogs, and the news media to sway public opinion, and deflect blame from them, and sympathy their way. They were overheard talking gleefully about how they can take advantage of these incidents. They have already started to direct things for Berry's governor's run. If anyone doubts how disgusting these people are, you have to be living with your eyes and ears shut. These people are criminals. The posts here may be intense, but every one about this administration is true. They have no shame, and they do not care about anyone. Berry has strategists already working a spin for when Schultz gets prosecuted. You will see Berry run from Schultz, and deny all knowledge. This is why you are not seeing Perry around. Perry was the insulation for Berry and he will be taking a hit too. This is all to make sure the road is clear for Berry. Schultz is laying lower than whale shit because he knows what is coming for him. Everyone needs to stay educated and keep on the proper authorities to make no deals with Schultz. He has done more damage, and will take more people down when prosecuted, than any chief in the history of any police department. Schultz and his co-defendants belong in prison with the career criminals they are. These people have made a career out of being criminals paid by city government and the blood and ruined lives is on their hands. They have, and continue to profit from this death. Another dead cop is another dollar for Schultz and Berry. As far as this ignorant citizen, his mouth and dishonor will catch up with him, because it always does. His mentality is exactly that of this administration. They see no value in life as long as they are making a buck and gaining more influence.

Yes.....
Bring back Schultz. Put him and Berry in cells with boomerang thugs. Dress them up in skirts and high heels first, and let the thugs watch porn for a few hours beforehand. Leave them in there for the whole prison to use, and remove all the guards. This will deter corruption here.

Did the "citizen" strike a nerve with your thin-skinned candy ass? Your anal fixation is indicative that you were abused as a child? Perhaps it's the fragile ego? Pobre mi hijto......did the tanning salon run out of your favorite lotion?

Ask the firefighter union to host a public safety picket in front of city hall. I can guarantee you that their members will show up. AFSCME would attend as well. Why because they have solidarity! I bet your retirees would stand up for you, ask them. Here is your chance to take the city back or just keep on doing nothing like you have been. And just how good has that worked out for you and the citizens.

SACRIFICE!

I thought this was a legit blog site that reflected the true feelings of officers that have been truly disrespected by Berry and his administration, but I was wrong. The people on this site bitch just to bitch and are part of the problem, not the solution, evidenced by their inaction during this sad event that had the whole cities attention. Officer died in vain and police have let the Mayor and his admin. spoon feed the media away from the problem that exists. You all had a shocking event to illustrate what happens when you are disrespected by wage cuts and no support and low numbers etc etc etc. Now with your inaction, nothing will change. Hopefully no other officer will have to pay the price for your inaction....sad.

Can one of you old timey coppers tell me how many coppers were on the force back in the mid 90's when crime rates in the Duke City were twice what they are now? Since it's highly unlikely the number of coppers was higher than today, I'm curious to see how the old timers managed to get by with less, while the current crop does nothing but whine.

Anyone?

@ 10;29 well for starters we didn't have so many officers assigned to the Chiefs Office, Evidence, Crime Lab, Ops Review, Academy, PIO's, Mayors Security, Walking Beats, Bike Units, Inspections, Accreditation, Horse Mounted. In fact not sure we had most of those worthless units back then. The department has gone from kicking ass and taking names to kissing ass and avoiding things. Most of the units listed are closets for people that want to be able to study to make rank THAT'S IT... Look at the crud that has been promoted over the past 13 years worthless folks. It was a true brotherhood years back and actually fun to go to work. We took care of each other.

11/7@10:29. How? Because they had Balls, they had each other's backs, and the APAO was about the brotherhood not about individuals getting FAT and DISGUSTING. now APD is all about ME and only ME and fuck brotherhood.

Answer:

The everyone gets an award generation + previous generation of back stabbing creeps who now supervise at top levels = APD

If promotions were merit, productivity, and courage based, and you had to do 30 years for a full pension, you wouldn't see so many lazy assed crybabies in law enforcement. I have worked a lot of different skilled, and non-skilled labor jobs before law enforcement and after retiring, and I will tell you this, cops cry all the time but it is the easiest job you can have. You see a lot of crap, but most of your aggravation comes from other cops and the administration. Where else can you become a PSA at 18, become an officer at 21 then retire in 17 years with a nice fat pension. This is the problem. It all becomes a short term goal of a pension by any means and fuck the mission at hand. It truly is not a good time to be an officer, and it is not because of the sentiment. It is because of the way administrations handle the sentiment and the mentalities of the new officers. When you have liars, and criminals leading the easily intimidated who are left with a self serving union that does nothing but run a club house hang out. The DOJ monitors need to start laying it out. Everyone is sick and tired of nothing happening when the DOJ and other agencies have proof that criminal behavior has happened.

Daniel's funeral was not the proper venue to turn our backs on Berry. Daniel deserved respect. If we had turned our backs on the "mayor" that would have been the story, not the tribute Dan deserved.

Our problem is that Berry only comes out of his hole when there is a photo op. Another opportunity will come. Then we will know if we can unite. I agree with the numerous comments about the old days. Officers used to stick together. There was brotherhood. Until the pansy ass, all about me officers are "reeducated" nothing will change. That has never been more obvious to me than it is now. We have a brother who was almost killed in the line of duty. He will never wear a uniform again, but he is still our brother. As I sat in court I heard officers talking about the $100 gift cards Legacy Church is giving each officer. I heard someone suggest that we could all donate our cards to Jacob Grant and his family. What a great idea, I'm in. The remainder of that conversation was the fucking bitch ass officers saying that they don't know Jacob so why should they donate to him. As I walked away I expressed my disgust that they would be such selfish bastards. It didn't phase them. I know Karma will find them someday.
