Well played, Sir. I clearly cannot trump such a well thought out persuasive process of reasoning.

2) I'm just going to leave this cut and paste from Nov. 2, 2008 here:

This editorial first appeared in the Albuquerque Journal. It was written by editorial page staff and is unsigned as it represents the opinion of the newspaper rather than the writers.

Sunday, November 02, 2008

McCain for President

So, my question to you is if the Editorial Board didn't make the endorsements and didn't write the editorial, but rather as you claim 'the Journal' did, who exactly wrote the editorial?

By the way, here's the headline, byline, and disclaimer of the DOJ Editorial from Sunday:

Editorial: DOJ Probe Could Be Positive Step for APD
By Albuquerque Journal Editorial Board on Sun, Aug 7, 2011

This editorial first appeared in the Albuquerque Journal. I know most of them, not all, and I would trust my life to any of them. Any organization will have a few bad apples. These people bring shame to all,and all good cops feel the shame these people have brought. I will tell you this: for every person you can name that has brought shame to A.P.D. The difference is we had a chief of police who wanted to acknowledge these officers and put their butts in prison.

Schultz refuses to acknowledge any wrongdoing. Look how long it took him to do anything with the Levi Chavez case. For months he blamed Valencia County for doing a bad investigation. When finally he was backed into a corner, he ends up finding out information that caused him to fire one of the officers involved.

So come down from your pulpit and get to work cleaning things up. Don't wait for God to do it and don't say you are so surprised that some officer have lost their morality. It has always been that way. There are always a few officers who make the rest of us look bad. We just need a real chief with real leadership.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-87967421545659434732011-08-09T09:10:21.898-06:002011-08-09T09:10:21.898-06:00Culture of corruption. Come on eye, the majority ...Culture of corruption. Come on eye, the majority men and women who answer 15 calls for service per day and the detectives carrying a large caseload come to to serve and protect. They all have families and want to go home at the end of the day. Some blamed Galvin with the laterals, some blame Gallegos with lowering the standards, and Schultz for the emtoy suit. I blame the decline in morals in our society. The lack of the Fear Of God.

Most live for the moment. Not for the future. So get rid of the "Culture of Corruption, get real. I am retired now but have worked for 5 Chiefs including the three listed above. It comes down to a generation of IMMORALITY. .Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-24660953152887111552011-08-09T09:03:28.372-06:002011-08-09T09:03:28.372-06:00So, do cops prefer dirty air and water? But APD is earning such a deservedly bad reputation, from top to bottom, that even its friends can't continue to pretend that all is well. You folks are kidding yourselves if you think APD problems are all at the top. There are loads of bad apples in the APD barrel and they infest all levels of the department. For example Levi Chavez and his four accomplices; there is a free pass for cops and something else for the rest of us. When will cops stop covering for crooked cops? The DOJ is not going to ignore the misdeeds of the rank and file.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-10775928831200113942011-08-09T08:46:34.468-06:002011-08-09T08:46:34.468-06:00After all is said and done, a push poll will be ta...After all is said and done, a push poll will be taken and this mayor's popularity and his approval numbers will fall.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-54919425466675685642011-08-09T08:45:12.884-06:002011-08-09T08:45:12.884-06:00Rob Perry is loosing credibility with his peers.
