We do have the best healthcare in the world. The problem in America is that we have become spoiled and have a great sense of entitlement. We expect the government to provide everything without question. We would rather buy luxuries like new cars or anything else we don't need or in alot of cases, can't afford. We then cry about affordable healthcare. We live in excess and foot the bill for illegal aliens. We allow people to use emergency rooms like health clinics or doctors offices. The government hardly ever does anything right once it attempts to fix something that is not broken. What would make anyone think government run healthcare will be ant different......Thoughts from a true middleclass taxpayer with no party affiliation!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-8059337286811932052009-07-24T20:27:28.605-06:002009-07-24T20:27:28.605-06:00I'm sick of the two party system we have and t...I'm sick of the two party system we have and the comments from each side!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-41807268802952835562009-07-22T13:51:02.970-06:002009-07-22T13:51:02.970-06:00I was behind a vehicle yesterday that had a bumper...I was behind a vehicle yesterday that had a bumper sticker proclaiming "I have a crush on Obama". It is this type of star-struck, liberal media-loving mentality that put this jerk into office. The conclusion: Health care providers in McAllen and many other parts of the country are gaming the system to rack up fees and expenses.

The other very significant finding in the article is that the Mayo Clinic, which has some of the best health care statistical results in the country with some of the lowest costs, has all its physicians on salary. This prevents physicians from the temptation of having a financial incentive to order unneeded services.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-78835932157281835682009-07-20T17:02:48.763-06:002009-07-20T17:02:48.763-06:00Leave it to the Dems to find another social progra...Leave it to the Dems to find another social program that will last forever!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4662430175624645998.post-16979701339810065622009-07-20T10:23:34.824-06:002009-07-20T10:23:34.824-06:00"The debate over healthcare has been astonish..."The debate over healthcare has been astonishingly devoid of common sense. We currently have a system that isn't perfect but still manages to provide the best care and by far the greatest number of medical innovations in the world."

This statement is devoid of common sense. The American system of health care does not provide "the best care... in the world", it has some of the best "specialty care in the world" yes, great for people who can afford quadruple bypass surgeries and face transplants. As far as good primary care, infant mortality rates, and quality of care its pretty piss poor compared to many other nations, and that's not even mentioning the exorbitant rates allowed to be charged on basic meds.

Why no mention of the fact that the majority of Doctors as well as tax payers in this country support, not a flimsy public option, but a full-on single-player approach.

Get a clue, health care is not a partisan issue, regardless how hard you two-party robots try to make it one.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
