The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. White Gets Slammed by Albuquerque Police Officer’s Association Members

Albuquerque's Public Safety Director, Darren White, thought he walked on water, only to find out that he has been sunk and is drowning under water. Our Eyes tell us that today the members of the APOA laid down Thunder and passed a vote of “NO CONFIDENCE” on Albuquerque’s Public Safety Director, Darren White. The Vote passed by an 84% margin, this is similar to the results by New Mexico State Police of 89% vote of “NO CONFIDENCE.”

The Eye On Albuquerque covered this story last month in, “APOA Members Offer to Lay Down the Thunder.” We followed up yesterday with, “Time for Heroes to Shine.” Both stories covered the prior “NO CONFIDENCE” vote that was conducted by New Mexico State Police.

Below is an excerpt from those two stories:

In one of the Eye On Albuquerque stories, “APOA Members Offer to Lay Down the Thunder,” the story stated in reference to the vote of no confidence in White; “This would be huge; but nothing new to White. New Mexico State Police did a “Vote of No Confidence” against White on September 27, 1999. It was reported that 89 percent of the New Mexico State Police had “NO Confidence” in White.” The Eye has also received several messages from people claiming to be with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Department expressing displeasure in White. If anybody looks at White’s track record, it is probable that the results will be similar. White left the State of New Mexico post he held shortly after this powerful statement by the New Mexico State Police Officers.

White’s credibility as a leader has been seriously compromised by this second vote of "NO CONFIDENCE." White’s problems seem to follow him where ever he goes. There is no other way for the rank and file of the Union to express their discontent with White; short of revolting in the same fashion as the people of Egypt. What will it take for the Republican Mayor Richard J. Berry to heed to all the warning signs and flags that keep going up? This “Vote of NO CONFIDENCE” reflects poorly on the Mayor and his Administration.

At some point in time White needs to exam his conscience and ask the question; "Am I right and everyone else is wrong or is everyone right and maybe I am wrong?" We all know the answer. Perhaps Mayor Berry should apply the same question when he is examining this latest blow to his Administration.

darren has already spun the vote. the police hate me because i had to make the hard choices. the truth the police hate you because of what you did to brad and because you will do it to anyone if it will help you advance. face it you are a two faced liar and it has caught up to you.my opinion of course. i am just one of the people you lied to.

Good job fellas! WE support you. I hope this brings to light some of the wrongs this man has done.

WAKE UP MEDIA! THIS IS NOT ABOUT TAKE-HOME CARS!! IF IT WERE ONLY 150 PEOPLE WOULD HAVE VOTED NO CONFIDENCE!!! THIS IS ABOUT THE CPSO BEING A CROOK!!!!

Anonymous said...

Maybe it's time for Schultz to be disciplined for "going off" on the District Court Judges on Tweeter. He was acting insubordinate and he is considered an officer of the Court. When he gives out the discipline to the other officers, he better have his name on the top of the list!

Anonymous said...

Woohoo! It's about time you all stepped up. Brad isn't the first cop Darren screwed and he certainly wouldn't have been the last. Now get rid of Ray and maybe APD would be heading in the right direction.

Anonymous said...

Hey Darren WHAT GOES AROUND COMES AROUND! How does it feel?

Anonymous said...

How many members actually voted?? not many

Anonymous said...

OMG... RJ's saying this vote of no confidence was because Darren makes the tough choices. Like what? Telling the truth about Brad Ahrensfield and Shaun Bryan? Jumping onboard the Berry campaign at the last minute so he could take a job that pays twice as much as his Sheriff gig? Creating new positions for TJ Wilham and Erin Kinnard Thompson? What were the "tough choices", RJ?????

Anonymous said...

From KOB ... "The mayor's office released the following statement from Mayor Berry, who is traveling to Israel tonight: "In order to balance the budget during these tough economic times, Darren and I have had to make some unpopular decisions in the best interest of taxpayers and to keep our police officers employed. Darren and all of our APD officers win my vote of confidence as well as the community's when we see an 18 percent drop in property crime.""

Since the media is spinning the one sided story it was spoon-fed, why doesnt APOA send out a press release to every paper and govt official in the state explaining the difficulties voting, the results and PDs concerns? Thank you everybody who voted. Brad, this one's for you.....

Anonymous said...

Story on KOB says that Berry and White reduced property crime 18%. Not the 34s. It was Berry and White. The Dynamic Duo. Real Batman and Robin they are.

The people who post the mean comments on this blog are worse that the Westboro Baptist Church. At least those lunatics show their faces. Here it is just a bunch of anonymous people saying mean hateful things. Afraid to show their faces. Shame.

All I know is that Mr. White may be a problem for many, and others may feel Schultz and Berry are as well. Remember who the APOA backed in the Mayoral Election? We replaced one evil with another, what makes us think we aren't repeating history? Where one falls another takes the place, which means it can be just as bad or worse.

This used to be a conservative blog for Albuquerque. Why has it been hijacked by the APD? The rest of us in Albuquerque could really care less whether Darren lives or dies, and you are starting to annoy the rest of us with this continuous rant. I for one have always thought that Darren was a loud mouth, but now the APD, collectively, has the louder mouth. Where can we citizens vote for you all to do your job? We citizens will pressure the Mayor until he dumps Darren, but then we will want you to take pay cuts like the rest of us.....we're talking 10-20%!

Darren will go out kicking and screaming. He won't resign.
Where else is he gonna get someone else to give him $125,000 a year for doing nothing and a high priced secretary (who does what) and an $80,000 yes boy to stroke his ego and fetch his lunch.
The only thing Darren's qualified to do is drive a cab. Since he left PD, what else did he do but live off the taxpayer's teet.

Don't you think Schultz is praying every night that 1. Darren gets the boot following the "NC" vote and slinks out of town, and 2. Judge Parker overturns the jury decision in the Ahrensfield case based on the blatant Brady violations? This way the cops settle down and Brad's story just fades away... otherwise more and more dirt will come to light and it wont be long before everyone sees Schultz is covered in political mud too. As the Eye said in "The Truth" post of Erica Bryan's "eye opening" letter: "The letter also suggests that Chief Ray Schultz had knowledge about this fiasco. After the fact, we can see that nothing was done by Schultz to investigate this matter appropriately."

Bad boys, bad boys what ya gonna do.......... Stay with this, APD.

Speaking of stupid pigs…I laugh! You’re just one of jester in the Kings’ Court. Everyone knows who you are. Oh, that’s right, you can’t write correctly so I am sure your reading abilities are limited too.

Albuquerque to the APOA,

Stop your whining. No one cares about your no confidence vote. You have destroyed your relationship with the citizens. Everything you have done, has driven a wedge between you and the taxpayers. Will you ever figure out that nothing you have done is working for you? Let's look at the results of your political actions over the last year:

Lost the cars for officers 11 miles from Big I (180 officers). Went on TV and whined, filed lawsuits (lawyers made money) and the result? All 1100 officers lost their incentives, so the 180 could have their cars back. And this was done out of contract neogotiations!

Filed lawsuits against the city for violating the contract and pay reduction (lawyers make money again). Result, AFD and AFCSEME have had both of their lawsuits dismissed, we are next.

Now we are in regular contract talks, and we do a stupid no confidence vote on Darren. The city and citizens could care less. Once again we look like whiner babies. And the result? We are going to take it in the shorts this contract.

And don't get me started on how stupid we appear to the citizens over the Facebook stuff. Yes officers and their wifes have a first amendment right to say dumb mean things ugle things on our facebook pages. We also have to bear the results. Some of you folks on facebook need to ask yourself, would you have gone to Mary Han's memorial and said those horrible things to her child? If not, you should not say them on facebook.

The APOA needs to move down a different path. We need to stop the whining and stop doing things that make us look bad. There is a more professional way to approach this. The whining baby tantrums are not working and Albuquerque Police officers are so much better than that.

I had some really good encounters with police. You guys put your lives on the line and deal with a lot of garbage. I thank you for that....

But....blame the administration, the media, the public....but never blame yourselves.

The true colors of a lot of APD officers come out on this site and its quite frightening the level of intelligence and lack of common sense some of you have. I can only imagine how you treat people out of the public eye.

Whining on the internet and posting slanderous things on FB pages doesn't help your cause. You're doing more damage to your department as a whole and hurting the officers who are quietly doing a damn good job.

You're not earning respect. After reading the ABQ Journal Article about the Fans of ABQ Police Page, I looked it up myself...and wow. I'm really sad there are a few bad apples (including the wives of some officers) making you guys look like weak, thin-skinned babies.

To all the good officers who quietly do their job and deal without for the sake of public good.... THANK YOU.

Anonymous said...

The Journal aricle in today's Metro section is a basic lie. When you with hold the real reason why this vote of No Confidence took place, it was not about the take away car fiasco. It's about Darren's lack of integrity, his incompetence, his lack of leadership skills and perjury in the Ahrensfield case, which could possibly send an innocent man to prison; one of his own, one of the brotherhood.
Whether you like Brad or not, what Darren did is wrong. The judge should realize that this case needs to move forward and be granted the requested appeal to find out who the real guilty among us are.

Anonymous said...

How dare the Mayor play stupid on this one.
Ok, the property crime is down 18%.
That all you got big guy. This vote of No Confidence is about much more. The take home car thing ain't it. That's just periferrel.
My God man wake up; do you really think the public is that stupid? Do you think just because your media spin team and censorship thugs at city hall really have a lid on what's really going on?
Like the commercial says, "Come out of the shadows"
You have a Chief Public Safety Officer who is not up to the task and by defending him you will only hurt your chances of ever being re-elected.
This is some real bad 'MoJo' for you.

Anonymous said...

" Hey Buddy", "Hey babe, I've got you covered"
How many of you have heard those lines before from Darren?
Brad has, and now he's faced with prison.
Darren; understand some simple rules here.
Your police department has no confidence in you.
You have been shamed for the second time (3 if SO had done it)
You have embarrassed yourself and APD
You are, by your own admission, "Hated by the officers"
You, by all accounts, are not a cop, and never were and that, the rank and file strongly agree on.
You need to take a hint.
You need to not embarrass the Mayor any further.
You need not embarrass our Chief any further.
And... as their boss, you need not embarras our Fire Fighters any further as well.
Have some dignity man, have some integrity, you've been given the vote of "NO CONFIDENCE". You don't stay on. You leave.
For God's sake, RESIGN ALREADY !!

More work to be done, keep the pressure up, APOA, don't wuss out. Put it out there for the public to read in the media. Press Release!

Anonymous said...

What is the APOA doing to publicize the reasons for the vote?? Has a statement been prepared and a press release sent out?? The more people who know the truth, the more powerful this action is. And the media wont help you when they only have City Hall's self-serving, spinning POV...Don't stop now!! Then if the reporters won't report, APOA should pass out information flyers in public places. Keep going, APD. You're doing it for everybody. Exercise your Free Speech rights as a group. Be smarter then them - which God knows shouldn't be hard!!!!

Mayor Berry proclaimed during his campaign that the position that was created by Mayor Chavez was one of convenience to fill a spot as a political favor, and 911 was used as an excuse for it. The position that was passed on to Pete Dinelli should infact be eliminated. it's been 10 years since 911 and is no longer viable. We have a Police Chief and a Fire Cheif. They are paid to know what to do in an emergency and are fully capable to meet with the Mayor in a crises. They don't need an intermediate Baffoon, telling them what to do.
So what does Mayor Berry do? As a political favor for Darren, is offer him the job that he promised to eliminate.
Let's break it down. the City is in debt, some $40 M.
Eliminating the position, you also eliminate, a PIO who does what? We eliminate a highly paid secretary for Darren, who does what?
All toll, those combined salaries, including their TAKE HOME CARS amounts to about $285,000, give or take 10 or 20 K.
How do you officers and fire fighters feel about that, when you didn't get the raise you were promised?
Oh, by the way, your union guy Joey, isn't doing you any favors just talking about take home cars and contracts. IT'S ABOUT AHRESNFIELD'S CASE. THAT'S WHAT MATTERS.THE FREAKING PUBLIC NEEDS TO KNOW AND HAS THE RIGHT TO.

i'm out of town following this. can i ask where the city councilors stand on this? i haven't heard any of their names mentioned recently. can't they be briefed by APOA or individual constitutents to turn up the pressure on RJ/RS/DW???? and to check up on the media's ridiculously biased coverage???

Anonymous said...

All, remember this; Ray takes his marching orders from Darren. It's not his fault that he can't run the department as he sees fit. Ray is much smarter than Darren and Ray has his hands tied. When Eore get's back from his trip to Israel, The Chief needs to have a sit down with him to decide what to do about this mess.
Obviously the choice SHOULD be clear, unless Darren has something over on the Mayor, which could possibly be the case. If so and he does have something on him, then there are words to describe such tactics and they are illegal.
If in fact the mayor does not discharge this 'pumpkin head' out of the cannon, then we will know that he too(mayor) has something to hide from the public that he doesn't want coming out.

Anonymous said...

YES, WHERE DOES THE CITY COUNCIL STAND ON THIS? COME OUT, COME OUT WHEREVER YOU ARE.
WHAT SAY YOU? CERTAINLY YOU HAVE A VOICE, A SAY IN ALL OF THIS. THE PUBLIC IS WAITING FOR A RESPONSE FROM YOU ALL.

WHERE ARE YOU BRAD, MICHAEL, DAN, DON, REY, KEN, ISAAC & DEBBIE?

NOTE: DON'T EXPECT ANYTHING FROM TRUDY JONES, SHE JUST BLINDLY GOES ALONG WITH WHAT EVER RJ WANTS. THAT'S NOT SERVING HER CONSTITUENTS WELL AT ALL.

Hey Darren its Shawn, Congratulations on the No Confidence Vote. Understand this and let me make myself clear, WE will not stop until you come clean as to why you did what you did in Brads trial. You know the truth and you played everybody for politics. You willingly stood by and let our lives get wrecked when you knew that you WERE THE TARGET. As of now you have your controls on the press, but it seems things are slipping from your grasp, and it will only get worse as more people start realizing what a scumbag you are. Brad and I and our families have lived this nightmare for a year and a half and now the truth is coming out and its pretty pathetic how you actually are arrogant enough to think that you could do and say what you did.
Unlike you and your cronnies we do not hide either in public or on the net and just so you know this has only begun. You have a choice come clean or WE will do it for you

Anonymous said...

Wait if White was the target why did this not come out from the very onset of the investigation. Why after two trials is this just now coming out about White? And we are now saying that White has control over every media outlet in the state of New Mexico, plus the U.S. Attorney's office, plus the Federal Bureau of Investigation, plus the Attorney Generals Office, plus.......... Seems kinda far fetched to me doesn't it?

Or could the story be that Brad tipped off Bryan and now that the White ball is rolling Brad and Bryan are behind it pointing the finger at everyone else but..... themselves.

When the lamestream media reported this on the news this a.m. they ended with the words "Darren White still holds his position. This vote is only symbolic.

Media: do you not get it???? It is more than symbolic that Darren's troops have no confidence or support in him. He failed them on so many levels! The most aggregious is his lies told in the Ahrensfield case. So all you media whores can go on spinning city hall's and RJ's version of this just being "symbolic", and keep on spoon feeding the taxpayers about how much property crime has gone down thanks to RJ, but the subpoenas will eventually be served, the truth will come out and you all will look incompetent for not paying attention to to the elephant sitting in the living room.

It is good to see that the rank and file stood together and turned out in a satisfactory fashion for the NC vote. This is an important first step - but more needs to be done. The strategic message that we all need to stick to is that we need real leadership and effective management in APD - neither of which we currently have with either White or Schultz - and we now want to hold them accountable.
Not everyone may care about take home cars, pay and benefits, Darren White and the Brad Ahrensfeld case in all or equal parts - but collectively, we all have a stake in seeing the department run well, improving morale, and gaining and maintaining the public trust and confidence. Bottom line: we need to inform the public, stick together, hold a united front, and remember on a daily basis what it really means to be a LEO. Thanks for voting, now let's keeping the momentum moving towards the next objective. Good job!

They should just fire schultz & white and let the officers run the place. just let the officers with no supervision do whatever the hell they want with no consequenses or thought. Im sure everything will work out fine. you thought 14 killed in one year was bad wait till u see what will happen when officers can work without anyone holding them ACCOUNTABLE. Come on mayor fire those goon bosses and let the officers free!!! I dont know bout you but im tired of schultz & white making unreasonable demands of their subordinates.

Anonymous said...

Why would a cop be fired for a stupid comment made on Facebook, but Schultz and White can get away with everything. Schultz was found guilty of violating Costales' civil rights and wasn't fired, but this Trey guy is getting the media blitz and they are calling for his head for something that is not illegal and done on his own time. Not that I think his comment was appropriate, because even if I had to kill a bad guy I would still feel bad and that makes me wonder if some cops aren't really bad guys themselves. I don't know Trey and maybe he's a great cop - but really!

Anonymous said...

It is easy to get screwed if you have information about an ongoing criminal investigation and then tip off your friend who happens to be the target. And it is easy to get screwed by a jury after they hear the evidence against you. Ahrensfield has an opportunity to appeal and clear his name. This blog won't do it.

American citizens have a Free Speech right to be able to organize and engage in peaceful, properly permitted demonstrations (ie not riots) and this is a powerful tool to get important messages out. You have your Union. There are over 2000 Facebook Fans of APD. If the media wont tell an unbiased story to reveal the corruption on the 5th and 11th floors and the complicity of the media, then APOA and/or FANS could organize a demonstration of citizens concerned about dishonest government in a prime location. You get lots of professional signs made. How about these four: NO CONFIDENCE WHITE! NO CONFIDENCE SCHULTZ! NO CONFIDENCE ABQ MEDIA! LET'S TALK ABOUT BRAD. You send professional press releases everywhere before. You FB and Tweet about it. You hand out information with clear information points at the demo. You video tape it and interview a few GOOD spokespeople during, put it up on YouTube...and the truth goes everywhere.

Anonymous said...

Excellent points by 8:23:00 poster. What is critical is that we keep the emotion and high drama out of it. Every point we have is valid, and collectively sends out a very powerful message regarding our poor management and inept leadership. The challenge is in getting that message out to the public (media, 5th and 11th floors won't do it). We need to win the support of the public and the city council. For our part, each and every one of us wearing a badge (police or fire) needs to consider that anything we say or do will most certainly attract attention and come under scrutiny. It's simple: we must maintain our good name; execute our duties and conduct ourselves professionally and let the true colors of those others come out loud and clear.
It's painful to see a good organization run into the ground by those who have sold themselves out for personal gain, and who in turn could not lead themselves out of a wet paper bag, much less a professional police officer or department - let's win our honor back!

U won'[t post this but this is all about Darren clening up Martys mess. Dont back down to the union Darren! We now your trying to do the right thing!

Letter to the editor: never published. Thanks to TJ

Politically, Darren White's career is over. Berry will attempt to spin this 500 pound bag of crap into one small Faberge' egg for Darren.(so he thinks) So, one has to wonder, what's that all about? Can he not admit he made a mistake in hiring this incompetent? Or does it go much deeper that that? Who has the pictures of the farm animals?
(that's only a cliche')
RJ must be the only Republican in the top end of the 'R' food chain who is (for now) supporting him.
What's the motive for doing so? Anyone else would cut his loses and dispose of this liability. Everyone, I mean everyone who has any stature in the Republican Party despises Darren. Even George Bush wants to forget who he is. Vetting done by the Governor's office, yielded findings unbecoming and unacceptable to hold public office let alone a position in its administration.
Maybe there's a future in an acting career for Darren; he sure has done a good job, and had many years of practice pretending he was someone he is not and fooled many in the Republican Party that he was an honorable and righteous citizen. Something has to be said of the wisdom of the electorate, when his bid for Congress was turned down. I'm no fan of Heinrich, but sending Darren to Washington would have been the biggest hypocrisy ever and a real bad 'skivvy' stain on New Mexico.
Smarten up Mr. Mayor, or the electorate will come to the same conclusion when you run for re-election.

Hey Darren, stay out of the Men's room, unless you intend on shinning someone's shoes.

9/11 Theft

By T.J. Wilham

Shawn Bryan said a prayer, shed a tear and talked to his five children about the meaning of Sept. 11 after waking up Friday morning. The former Marine then put on a suit and attended a 9/11 memorial, in which Bryan and others were honored for their service to their country.
Police believe that's when thieves stole more than $20,000 worth of items from Bryan's house.
A plasma TV, watches, $4,000 in cash, two game systems and his wife's jewelry were among the items stolen. The thieves, though, left behind a plaque with Bryan's Purple Heart and a picture of President George W. Bush giving the medal to him. Bryan's medals and personal weapons were also left alone.
"It doesn't matter if you are a cop, a war hero or a doctor," Bryan, 39, said. "These scumbags don't care who you are."
Neighbors heard Bryan's dogs barking about 12:30 p.m., police said, but didn't think anything of it. Investigators believe that's when someone kicked open Bryan's front door and went through the house.
Bryan lives in a gated community near Fourth and Candelaria NW.
"If they took those medals, I would have lost it," said Bryan, who now runs a used car dealership. "Those guys better be glad I wasn't home changing out of this suit when they broke in."
Bryan had been out of the Marine Corps about 10 years when he decided to re-enlist after the Sept. 11 attacks.
He was officially reinstated on Sept. 11, 2003.
He did two tours in Iraq, where he fought on the front lines searching for terrorists. He said many men in his unit were killed.
Bryan went back to Iraq despite a serious injury during his first tour in which a homemade bomb exploded in his face, forcing him to have reconstructive surgery.
Earlier this year, Bryan, the state captain for Vets for Freedom, was instrumental in getting a monument erected at Veteran's Memorial Park honoring vets who have been killed in Iraq.
Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White recognized Bryan during his speech at Friday's Sept. 11 remembrance service at Civic Plaza.
"This was the worst day to have some lowlife punk out breaking into homes," White said. "And to make it worse they broke into the home of a man who has sacrificed so much."
Tips sought
Police urge anyone with information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at 843-STOP. Callers do not have to reveal their identity to give information or to receive a reward of up to $1,000.

This has been turned, by the media, into a pay cut and take home car issue. You all better do something. Berry's spin machine is running wide open and making the police look even worse in the eyes of the public. Let the truth be known or this will backfire!

Bernalillo County Sheriff Darren White recognized [Shawn] Bryan during his speech at Friday's Sept. 11 remembrance service at Civic Plaza. "This was the worst day to have some lowlife punk out breaking into homes," White said. "And to make it worse they broke into the home of a man who has sacrificed so much."

But months later in Federal court White testified that he barely knew Shawn...

Can anyone say, "PERJURY"?

T.J. went to Bryan's house to report this also. They were all friends!

Darren White for senator! TJ leading the charge for a better America and state.

Darren's first campaign promise is to lead a convoy (lights and sirens) to Wash DC to rescue America from unions and liberals.

Everyone thought Berry was an idiot. The truth is; he is an idiot.

Darren White gets two “NO CONFIDENCE” votes from two major police departments and White thinks it’s okay.

99.9999 percent of politicians NEVER get a vote of no confidence. White has now chalked up two. Wake up! White is making you out to be an idiot! And you’re proving him correct!

You Mayor Berry will not be able to run for dog catcher and win. You have allowed another idiot (Darren White) to ruin your political life.

You have made me and many others regret voting for you now. You do not possess the ability to make a competent decision. You promised that you would rid the City of the Public Safety Director's position.

Shame on you Berry!

"White get slammed"

Really? Do you really believe this stuff. How about you go out and talk to your neighbors, the ones who are not cops. You will find a totally different mindset within the community. They feel the No Confidence vote is just a bunch of whining. The APOA is digging a deep hole.

So far the APOA has lost the 6% pay raise, taken a 2.4 % pay cut, lost some of the take home cars, then got them back, by giving up $1,200,000 per year in incentives. And you Titled this White Gets Slammed. I think the title for the last year has been the APOA being slammed.

And the contract is now open. My gosh what else are we going to lose? We sure aren't making any friends, with the administration, nor the community. I think it is time to regroup and rethink just what the APOA is doing.

APD Culture Needs Correcting.
By Matthew Coyte.

Gee, you think? Is he the only one who thinks so, or is everyone thinking it and he's the only one coming out and actually saying it?
The operative word here is 'Culture'.
How do certain members of the PD behave themselves if the leadership is seen as corrupt?
Unless you set solid examples of right and wrong, solid examples of morality, ethics and integrity, form the top, then what can we possible expect. The recent 'No Confidence' vote of Public Safety Director Darren White is just the tip of the ice berg. Much more will follow to be sure, what with this Ahrensfield case, not to mention the over $1 million that two at the top have already cost the taxpayers in civil rights cases. Their attitude is "Oh well, it's not our money, so what" Where were the disciplinary consequences on Darren & Company for this un questionalbe incompetence. Who among us remember 'Watergate'?
The attitude across the nation was, well if they can get away with that, then so should we. It eventually led to Richard Nixon's resignation in disgrace.
So if our mayor is willing to stand by and let this 'No Confidence' vote stand with no consequence, then we and the department are in deep.

nice quote from Harold. He is a very classy guy

China and Egypt and all these dictators try to stop protesters by shutting down internet and target people who oppose them. Darren, Ray and RJ are you that dumb you can't see your doing the same thing? You can't be for free speech only if people say nice things about you.

I am all for this peaceful assembly myself, as poster 8:23 has mentioned. Eye, can you please set something up on this page that can get the people together collectively and tell the public what the real truth is? This is what we all need, not just the officers of AFD, but the citizens of Albuquerque. Let's do this people!

The Eye is no better than the people they are complaining about. They censor everything I send, unless it is in agreement with The Eye. There is no freedom of speech at the Eye on Albuquerque.

Do you really understand what you are saying "go do yourself"?

These are the kinds of horrible commennts that are making the public wonder about their police department.

Would you go up to this man's family (his wife and kids) and tell them " I hope your husband/father does himself?"

What kind of people are you to do that? Those types of comments are on par with the Westboro Baptist Church, who do horrible things at the funerals of our military. We are above that, or at least I thought. I wish no ill will upon anyone, and I can only hope that everyone who posts these types of comments sit back for a moment and ask "would you say this to their children"

If the answer is NO, then don't post it. If the answer is YES, then you need to reflect on the who you are.
