The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Eye On Albuquerque Welcomes Dr. Ginger to Albuquerque

Welcome to Albuquerque

Dr. Ginger
June 29, 2015
Greetings Dr. Ginger,
The Eye On Albuquerque wishes to welcome you to Albuquerque. We understand you have assembled a “team” for the Albuquerque Police Department and you and the Mayor’s and DOJ’s lawyers have agreed the City of Albuquerque will pay you approximately $4,500,000 to review and report on the City’s compliance with the Settlement Agreement. Some of the City Councilors recently questioned whether they could get a better deal, but here you are and $4.5M is how much we’re paying you. You have informed the City you’ve produced over 300 pages of plans for monitoring and enforcing the Agreement, and all are looking forward to having those documents as soon as possible.

Introducing The Eye

We also need to introduce ourselves, since you don’t have any local team members and might not be fully aware of what we’ve been doing or what our plans are, now you and your team are here. You see, our Eyes are already “monitoring” the City of Albuquerque. And our Eyes are already focused on a kind of “community outreach” that is directly connected to the community, with readers who respond with their own opinions, ideas, and facts. We have a genuinely responsive community with a potential that has only begun to be realized.

To our Eyes; APD policies, practices, procedures, politics, and issues are the topics of primary importance. We believe the corruption, ethical and legal violations, and even the much discussed “systemic deficiencies“ in City government have been and are ripe for exposure. We oppose further delay. We share your concern and interest in what will happen to our City and to the Albuquerque Police Department under the agreement between the City’s lawyers and the DOJ’s lawyers. We believe changes have to happen right now, not over the next four years or more.

We invite you to go back and review our earlier posts and comments. Our Eyes have often been the only ones monitoring and reporting about APD, Taser contracts, ineffective leadership and training, and all sorts of other issues. No matter what you do or how much you’re paid; we fully intend to keep doing this work – exposing corruption, seeking truth, telling the stories about what we know and learn, and most important, providing an open forum for public discussion of important facts and issues. The Eye On Albuquerque is a nonprofit BlogSpot.

Hard Work?

Looking at the overall picture, we really don’t understand why you have given all of the community the impression your work here with APD should be considered ‘that’ difficult or why you Dr. Ginger, should be paid so much or need to employ so many team members. As we said, we’ve been unofficially “monitoring” APD for years, and there’s nothing ‘that’ hard about it.

What makes it hard for us is Mayor RJ Berry, Rob Perry, and maybe a few jealous media people who are always attacking instead of helping us, always trying to punish instead of recognizing us, and who have done everything in their power to force the closure of the Eye On Albuquerque. You and your team, of course, have no such enemies. People yearn for justice, and are generally happy to tell their stories; documents and data are generally available. The hard part is finding someone to listen who is honest and can do something about it.

No Pay; Delay?

As reported by one of our TV stations and then in the Albuquerque Journal, you told people attending a public meeting last week that the City Council’s failure to approve your pay was holding up your report, delaying it by around three months. We hope you did not intend to excuse the City’s delays in complying with the express terms of the Settlement Agreement.  We also hope it is NOT your intention to delay the enforcement of the settlement in order to leverage an astronomical amount of money for the services you will be required to perform under the settlement agreement. We don’t plan on making excuses or waiting for someone to give us millions of dollars before we start writing about what’s wrong. And from what we’re hearing, compliance with the Settlement Agreement is almost nonexistent, compliance issues are growing rather than being resolved, and transparency is completely lacking.

Finally, we have to say it: we’re all working towards the same goal, but some are getting paid a lot better than others. You’re a professional with a 9-member team, getting $4.5M for four years of monitoring, and this is only one of the projects you’re working on; we get nothing and work on our own time without pay. This creates inequalities and no, we are not asking to be paid. We are merely pointing out issues such as now when we’re all waiting for the lawyers, the judges, and the City officials who we’ve elected and appointed to start doing their jobs, start earning their pay, and start cleaning up the City and its police department. As you can see; when we see something that is wrong or gives the appearance of impropriety we will call it like it is. The settlement agreement is about ethics and morality; you need to set the example and step up to the plate.

So we do welcome you, Dr. Ginger, and your team of professional monitors. And we’re going to be looking very carefully at what you and the team says and does, just as we expect you will be watching us and listening to what we have to say. Please let us know when you’re ready to get started.

Sincerely,
The Eye on Albuquerque

I think Mr Ginger needs to be reminded that he works for the taxpayers of Albuquerque. No matter how the " working toghether" Berry kook aid drinkers spin it, Ginger is payed by the citizens Not Berry or the Feds! So when asked what he is doing or why Ginger needs to answer to us yes the Feds have final say but I'm sure one of the thousands of lawyers in the metro area would be more than glad to take our tax dollars to get him to answer questions. I'm just surprised the council hasn't thought of this approach. Where is the uproar from the citizens? Where else can you charge millions of dollars for work and not say what you are doing for it? Only in Albuquerque!! Nothing will change except the player.

Sad thing is, that's over 4.5 million the city is paying for just use of force issues. While all the kiss ass DCs, majors, and commanders are running around trying to show their worth, they are neglecting every other area that police face. The mayor keeps saying that violent crime and DWIs are down, but ask any cop and they will tell you that the majority of cops are refusing to do DWIs due to the risk of discipline and violent crime numbers are only down because after midnight cops are only responding to calls and not doing any proactive patrolling. My neighbors car got broken into during the night hours about a week ago and he refused to call police cause he didn't want to wait 5 hrs just to be told nothing could be done. There's one less property crime the admin will have to explain on their next end of the year report. But who cares about the citizen, this chief decided it was more important to spend a half a million dollars on a asst chief, 2 worthless majors and the travel for 2 teams of worthless officers all over the country for "training"

Another homicide in the NE....

http://krqe.com/2015/06/27/police-juvenile-shot-killed-in-northeast-albuquerque/

...... And a shooting and pursuit down town at Lotus Night Club.

Things are out of control. Shootings are happening every day. Someone is killed every week, sometimes twice a week. There are several SWAT callouts a week..... The criminal element knows that the officers can't do anything, and that the Mayor will sacrifice people doing their jobs.

You have done this Berry. You are responsible. You and that punk Perry have intentionally destroyed a police department, and lied this city into the mess it is in. Now you two idiot assholes are running interference for Schultz so that the statute of limitations runs out and he gets away with it. The citizens WILL know about your scheme. Of course you have plan B on the back burner if he does get burned... To disavow all knowledge of his actions. It is all about you, isn't it Berry? Bide your time until it is time to run for Governor.
Well guess what you little scum bag..... That's not going to happen, because when you run, every single thing you have done is going to be released like the standing order of how the officers in the Mayor's detail were told and ordered that they are not to have or wear body cameras in the pepresence of the mayor. Don't want these sensitive little conversations getting out? Deny that, and see where that audio turns up smart guy. So much for transparency you hypocrite liar. What's good for everyone else isn't for you huh? Timing is everything like you say.... Patience is also a virtue. Sometimes very good information needs to be saved for the very best and efficient time to release that perfect little gem, so that it goes out into the world, takes on a life if it's own, and it's impact causes the biggest unavoidable smoldering crater that can not be avoided by even the best whitewashers. The wait will be worth it.

All you had to do was the right thing, and none of this would have happened. Go ahead, and rack your hollow wooden head wondering what did this, and continues to do this. It will never end until the wrongs are righted. This is what you get for trying to use people; a cunt mayor who is forced into hiding because he is a bitch coward. Tell them of the plans for vengeance on the people responsible for holding you accountable. And no, it isn't Grover who you are all bellyaching over and talking about destroying.

Resign, and go to the criminal division of the federal department of justice, and tell them you would like to cooperate and name all of those involved in lying to them. Ask for a whistle blower number, and tell them how you and others have lied. Tell them about the schemes. Take the time now to get ahead of the ball. They will probably cut you the best deal. Tell everyone about the high level damage control meetings where all of your schemes were devised. Tell them who was there and how things were planned. Give up your charade and confess. You will feel better once it is off your chest. Tell them the plans you had to take over the DA's office and who you and Martinez planned to put in that spot, so that you could control everything and make sure there would be no oversight of the ongoing corruption. "Take that office" huh? Everyone will be getting a huge education. Pack a lunch motherfucker.

Why is it that everyone passing through Albuquerque becomes a crime victim?

http://www.kob.com/article/stories/S3837712.shtml?cat=500#.VY-Nc3D3aK0

Because Mayor Berry is too busy filling his pockets, taking care of his business buddies, and feathering his shitty nest for more monitary and personal gain and influence down the line. These selfish actions have stripped the city bare, forced experienced officers who are fed up to leave and bankrupted the city through lawsuits to the point that nothing proactive is being done to prevent crime. The city has become entirely reactionary. This all for the benefit of just a handfull of selfish criminals.

Ash urns stolen, citizens being shot in front of their homes preventing thefts by criminals on their own, Abq neighborhoods hiring private security forces, children being shot in drivebys, and crime out of control because as lightbulb head Tanner says...... We'll get there when we get there. Mister Tanner should wipe the Chief cock off of his face, and hit the street to handle some calls for service, but that's too much to ask for for mister popular who's too busy padding his career also. Just watch this toolbag's career path over the rest of his career for carrying water and being part of the master plan. Like all of the sell out water carriers, he will be promoted every couple years and never see the field again. It's special units for as far as this boulder head can see, and he is perfect for it because he fills the first qualification; being able to talk out of the side of his face.

Yea, nothing is wrong... right Berry!
And Berry responds to people that attack him as being disgruntled or having an ax to grind. No Berry, we just see right through your lies.

If I hear the media or APD say they can't properly investigate a shooting, either officer involved or citizen, due to manpower problems I'm gonna ....................... The citizens are supposed to feel safe and confident with their police regardless of any internal problems they may have. What kind of idiot did they hire as the new PIO. Reassuring the citizens regardless of the situation is public relations 101. The chiefs are just straight up stupid. Here's a thought........if it's the same recruiting problem you've been facing for the last 2-3 years and you cant fix it, then the hell out and bring in someone who can.... And back on topic....I'll step in and monitor APD for half the price Dr.
Ginger is charging. I could do it from my living room. I'll just submit reports each month saying APD is screwing things up. I guarantee I'd be right 99% of the time.

Great job eye. Years ago when you first started I would read occasionally and just shake by head and laugh at a lot of what was printed. As I started moving through positions and had the opportunity to work with much of APDs current leadership, I began to see that the majority of what you print is true. There were then and now a few immature comments /lies here and there, but I could once again shake my head and smile knowing most of it was true. I've now been retired for several years but still talk with several officers that confirm those now in leadership positions are still the immature people I used to laugh about. So keep it up eye, many of the illegal practices that are being monitored today are the same things you were writing about several years ago. If they only would have listened.

It's a shame that we are wasting that much money on things that fall under the category of common sense. Don't shoot a dead guy in the head with a beanbag, don't shoot campers that want to surrender, don't break the testicles of argumentative drunks, don't keep promoting idiots that have a history of laziness, stupidity, or lack of judgement. Don't burn off ears with a taser ( or does that fall under promoting stupid people). Bottom line is this......if APD continues to promote people who have a history of ignorance to positions of commander and above, then they'll be spending another 5 million in another 10 years

Lt. Brachle is still untouched. He's in a Cush position at the main. What gives???? He still isn't getting charged, fired, reprimanded, suspended???? Fucking ridiculous. Oh and the ROP team that the Mayor, DOJ, and City Council wanted disbanded is still 10-8. Guess anything goes, everyone's asleep at the wheel.

OK, we all agree things are bad-really bad. So what are you going to do? What can one person do? A lot. Talk, tell people what is going on. Tell the Feds, tell Brandenburg, do something. That is how change starts, one person at a time. Writing on a blog anonymously doesn't accomplish much. Berry, Perry and Eden get away with all this crap because they can. No one rats them out. They can count on it. Once you all come forward, everything starts to crumble. You hold the power, if you'll just step up and take it. There is plenty of cover. Lawyers and many others will work to protect you. So when you are belly aching, think about what you can do. You have the power to change things. In fact, you may be the only ones who can. Do it!

Anonymous said...

Just like the PIO said. If the shooting is officer involved they have all the time in world because everyone has been identified. That's translated into we will drag this out 1 more year until Brachle can retire, the guy screwed up and almost killed another officer. The fact that he is still roaming around is sickening. But hey, let's fire a guy for not using his camera or not writing a report. It's to the point now where there's nothing left to do but shake your head and lock your doors.

At 5:48, there are a few that have done it. And continue to "do it." Why don't you step the fuck up and support those instead of these empty ra ra ra go for it cheers? Otherwise shut the fuck up.

I read an article today on KRQE titled "City of Albuquerque says ‘give us two more pounds"
about how the city wants citizens to scrounge for at least two more pounds of worthless material to add to their recyclables.

Maybe the mayor, his elf Montano, his worthless CAO asshat Perry and the rest of the assholes that work for them can chip in thire brains and empty sacks to help meet the goal. Oh yea, can you recycle lies too?

Dawn some up and got her as handed to her. Why don't you speak up using your name and then come back and post your name and tell us how it went!!!!

Dr Ginger and the power twins do crap like bill separate hotel rooms for their dogs and expect us to pay for their alcohol but they're going to clean up APD? Perry picked this team. Birds of a feather flock together.

Anonymous said...

Great...just what the city needs. Armed robbery of a famous ex- news anchor. How's the mayor gonna spin this one when they start telling their friends not to stop in albuquerque. I have worked near that hotel for many years and up until a few years ago, we always got a great response from APD. Now we get the runaround from the police management controlling that area. Last time we called, we were passed around between a commander and 2 people working under him who did nothing but complain about the chiefs and how undermanned they were. This place is getting scary. Question is what were famous people doing at such a crappy hotel anyway and don't they listen to all the stories about how albuquerque and it's police force have gone to shit? They should have flagged down a cop who would have told them to keep driving to Gallup. Oh wait, according to the APD bosses in that area, there is no one to flag down.

@8:09

Wow, your post seems pretty random... and not at all on topic. What does that have to do with Ginger? Sounds like someone got all butt hurt over something... if you have a problem with this person, why not go deal with it in person instead of anonymously ranting on a blog? No guts?

Seems like if what you say is true, it would be a pretty clear cut case... so I have to believe that you don't know what you're talking about.

It's random crap like this that seem to weaken the eye's credibility... just sayin...

The Mayor of Albuquerque is a self serving scum bag who uses tax dollars to ingratiate himself to future cronies who will take care of him on the backs of tax payers. 4 city clowns in charge of event planning get sent to Louisiana to party it up at a cost if $13,000, and then this liar invites a hundred people to the VIP tent for 4th of July celebrations at balloon fiesta park from his discretionary fund, now he has his band of thieves trying to recoup more money from tax payers for his schemes. This mayor is playing the citizens of Albuquerque as fools and using their money to feather hus nest. You are a scum bag Richard Berry. You, Schultz, Perry, and a few other choice pieces of cat shit deserve a HIV infected pissy cell in a Mexican prison where sodomy is your morning exercise.

How in the hell are any tax funds someone's discretion? That is the first problem right there.

Do you attorneys do any research on the officers you go up against?

http://krqe.com/2015/07/02/dwi-case-dismissed-after-incident-with-asst-district-attorneys/

Louis Henckel was deemed untruthful in an APD use of deadly force case. He should not even be testifying in court.

http://www.abqjournal.com/35111/news/apd-deadly-force-under-fire.html

Read and learn. This is relative information that can be used in every single case this officer is involved in.

Officer, have you ever been found to have been incredible or untruthful by a judge in any case you testified in? Yes. Case over.

It is time the free passes are not given out anymore. APD has had a constant attitude of well yea, that hapoened, but it was a while ago so it really didn't happen anymore.

It was investigated. He was another cog in the machine allowed to resign and keep his pension because he has all the right friends. The media could get the paperwork to prove it if they werent too busy playing with go pro cams and pretending they're celebrities we want to know more about.

Is it true that TJ is out of leave but still collecting a full paycheck? Use up your I time as a 34 and they cant fire you or fuck you over fast enough, even when you're injured on the clock. TJ got to earn comp even though he was salaried and now he gets a full paycheck when he is totally out of leave!

um, no. Ginger works for the US taxpayers you provincial, illiterate, corrupt hillbillies. APD all voted for Berry and hasn't stopped crying since. Stop shooting everybody. Stop lying about everything. Maybe get out of your cars once in a while. It is that simple. Oh wait, I forgot, you are all terrified for your lives. Pow pow. The rest of us cruise around Albuquerque without guns and a license to kill because we are not. We don't even get overtime playing with our ponies downtown on weekends!

Notice how the problems didn't go away with the last chief? Me too...
