The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. duRAN!

Run Dianna Run!!!
As all of us nobodies know by now, former Secretary Of State Dianna Duran under a plea deal was allowed to run and plead guilty to six of sixty five criminal charges.

Duran resigned, has to pay back $14,000 to political donors, and spend five years on supervised probation. Duran will escape a fine against her and will keep her State Retirement as part of the plea deal.

What if you were accused of 65 criminal counts? Do you really think all but six be tossed out? Do you think you would get probation? Does anyone believe that Duran will sit in a waiting room for hours waiting her turn to meet with her probation officer. Does anyone believe that Duran will really pay back $14,000 donors?

Have any of your family or friends been convicted of a crime? What happened to them?  Do you really think that if you had a State Retirement it would be protected? Ask any Police Officer that has been terminated on trumped up charges just to make the administration and lets not forget Schultz look good. Their lives have been turned upside down. They have lost everything including their retirement. Police Officers are just like the rest of us nobody's, no one to protect them or you. We at the EYE are sure Duran will receive a huge retirement, at least six figures.

If anyone knows that number please let us know.  What about Ray Schultz?  We at the EYE know that a complaint was filed by a former Sergeant on A.P.D. regarding Taser well over a year ago with State Attorney General Office. Then another sergeant filed a LEA-90 against Schultz we are told. But nothing is coming from that we hear.

Bottom line, if your somebody, you will skate on anything. If you’re a nobody, you will get book thrown at you. Even Duran said she did a great job as Secretary Of State. What does this tell our children that when you are an office holder of one of the most important positions in the state's government and you use your office to violate the law, you get your hand slapped? Mayor Berry and his deputy Mayor Kent Walz want to blame Santa Fe for the turnstile justice of repeat offenders. Well this begins with law breakers like DuRAN, not the bottom feeders our officers deal with every day.

P.S. The Eye congratulates APD Officer Jeremy Dear for winning his appeal against the City and the Berry/Perry administration.

Police are like the rest of us with no one to protect us? Are you suddenly forgetting about LT Brachle? Shot his own guy numerous times and has gotten away with it. Guy that shot Goldsten is going to spend time in prison. Really Eye? You are so full of shit

Eye....don't forget about Sandy who left with his retirement and Brachle who will soon leave with his. It's not just politicians that scam the system. There's plenty of cops that have played the same game

Let's be honest eye. Was Dear a good cop? NO. Was he heavy handed and a bad example as an APD officer. YES. He should have been fired long ago. But as usual the administration ignores bad behavior until it hits the media and they start getting negative political attention and then act irrationally. Dear isn't a horrible kid, but he was allowed to get away with bad behavior for so long that it became the norm. Then the admin acts shocked when the media grabs it. It's such a circus.

In the long run, giving Dianna Duran probation and no jail time will save the New Mexico taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars a year in the NM prison system cafeteria bill to feed this woman! All cows eventually need to be put out to pasture. Did I get too personal??

congrats to Jeremy Dear! Are we serious here?

Congrats to Dear? I hope you hit a fixed object on the way home tonight in your tax payer funded vehicle PIGS!

With post that applaud the behavior of Dear no wonder APD is as fucked up as it is now. The eye lashes out at APD brass for circumventing the rules yet it congratulates the rank and file for doing the same thing. What a bunch of Hippocrates!!!

Dear is a "bottom feeder".
And his supporters twist every issue into convoluted crap.

Every comment on this page so far is right on target. It amazes me that you still have the respect and backing that you do when you post shit like "congratulations to Jeremy Dear" for retaining his membership in the "Narcissists-R-Us".

Dear is a wanna be "man", everyone knows he took Hawk out, to much of a pussy to let the truth be known.

As for Grover, everyone keeps wondering what he really knows about Han??

Its just a matter of time before the whole department is run by true Thugs!!

The Department is Already run by Thugs posing as real coppers!

If any of you officers were in the same spot at Jeremy you would be extremely happy to have your job back. What Grover has done is what needs to be done. There is NO WAY anyone can say that the lapel camera RULES apply to EVERYONE on APD. The administration has and will continue to pick and choose who gets reprimanded, warned, fired, indicted when it comes to the cameras. Its Russian roulette with the 5th & 11th florr...

You all are too funny. Dear won his job back because the DPT doesn't have a clue how to hold people accountable from the get go. Dear got fired because he didn't turn on his lapel video, Plain and simple, He shouldn't have been fired.

I think what you morons are forgetting is that the meth fueled woman was in a stolen truck, and pointed a gun at officers. What your not realizing is that up until a few years ago, there were never cameras. The whining few in the public made sure that now an officer must jump through hoops to do his/her job. Many experienced officers saw the writing on the wall and left. Now Officer Webster paid the ultimate price because of the few idiots sniveling like spoiled brats. What's worse is our brainless Mayor refuses to back his officers. He's just into CYA and appearances. I've herd from frontline sources that when something major happens, the Mayors first words are "how is this going to make us look". Pathetic cowards.

11:38,

I also understand you have a bridge over the Rio Grande for sale?

Dear's camera did NOT fail. Dear had been reprimanded several times for not turning on his camera, and never once was it found to have been malfunctioning. He was under direct orders to have his camera on during 100 percent of his interactions with the public, which he failed to do. It was found that he turned his camera on only about 40 percent of the time, in disobedience of a direct order. He earned his termination.

9:16,

Yeah I know you cry babies can't stand facts. And get angry when there's an opinion different than yours. You have 0 knowledge of Police protocol and procedures. You probably get all your info from other idiots or the media. I'll throw you three cents and that should take care of 10 years of pay. I won't loose any sleep wondering about the 5 people in the City who don't respect Police. Wanting me to shoot myself in the mouth really shows what YOUR about. Go give your homies in jail a shout out and let the adults talk here.
