The Piercing Truth
This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Time to give Berry the Boot NOT the ‘Johns’
Anyone remember the oldest profession in the World? Prostitution? No, prostitution is the second oldest profession in the World. That’s right; being a politician! We should be putting a boot on Berry as he heads out the door. The City of Albuquerque is a wash of oxycontin and heroin, but Berry is more concerned and worried about putting a boot on some poor saps car. We are not condoning prostitution but by the same token why isn’t the city booting the cars of drug users? Drug pushers? How about Property crime offenders?
The answer is simple; Berry barrowed Martinez’s pet snake, Jay McCleskey, who has ordered Berry to get his “face” and his name out more for the public. This was nothing more than a publicity stunt, and a cheap one at that. Berry’s numbers in the polls are slipping and this has caused a lot of hissing by McCleskey. Usually when you see a snake all coiled up and hissing you take a shovel to it; not Berry, he is quick to follow McCleskey’s orders. It is both funny and ironic (moronic for Berry) to follow the orders of this person. Does Berry not know the parable about Adam and Eve and the snake who lead to the first original sin?
What happens when the person is on foot or the phone? Is APD going to start seizing the guy’s shoes or his cell phone? This is absolutely ridiculous, and only proves Berry is not making any decisions.
Booting DUI offenders is reasonable; they present a clear and present danger to all of us, if and when they go back on the roadway. How does the practice of drunk drivers who have an on-going and continuous danger to the public in general compare to a ‘John’ who is looking for some type of sexual relations? The comparison is dismal at best. So the ‘John’ gets frustrated and starts drinking and driving or starts looking for a different violent way to handle his frustrations, such as, rape or other forms of molestation.
Great Berry, you stopped the ‘John’ and now the ‘John’ has graduated to a more violent and heinous crimes…Perhaps Berry or McCleskey could show some statistical data to support this alleged danger that “Johns” pose to the community. Prohibition did not work and this baloney is not going to either.
Oddly enough, Berry stated, “We think this is going to be a tremendous deterrent for those soliciting the services of a prostitute. Where does Berry get the “we think” stuff from? Oh, that’s right he’s got a pet snake in his pocket.
The ACLU has now entered this controversy and are not pleased by McCleskey’s or Berry’s decision.
The City is relying on the City’s civil authority to “abate nuisances.”Prostitution is not a meth house that is riddled with bullets and criminals all over the place or a drunk who have, or could kill or injure the public. The story states, Under Meyers’ proposal, the city would declare a motor vehicle used in prostitution as the “instrumentality of the nuisance.” Could we use the same premise and boot Albuquerque’s nuisances (Berry, McCleskey and Meyers) since all three of them are “instrumentality of the nuisance?” Here is another misleading statement that Berry used to legitimize this dumb idea. “Berry and Meyers said the idea is part of the city’s efforts to crack down on human trafficking, the victims of which are often forced into prostitution. How does a ‘John’ asking for service from a prostitute now become “human trafficking?” If human trafficking is the core issue; go after the pimps and the Mexican Drug Cartel.
All joking aside, we do not condone prostitution. What we are saying is if the real problem is human trafficking, do some analysis as to why, or how people allow themselves to become prostitutes. Is it a run-a-way person, or someone hooked on meth or oxycontin? The Mayor needs to solve the core issue or problem, and stop the babbling to get free press coverage. This is just another reason why we need to vote Berry out.We need a mayor who will solve the core issues and problems, and not try and create new gibberish to pretend he is really trying to do something.
