The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Sanctuary City Flip - Credibility Flop

The AM radio waves had barley stopped echoing off the Sandia Mountains before the 11th floor went into damage control mode over their defacto creation of a sanctuary city. Their original announcement that immigration authorities would not be contacted when a person was suspected of being an illegal immigrant suddenly became unless the person in question was accused of a violent crime.

770 KKOB's Jim Villanucci spent his first two hours hammering APD and by extension the Almighty Mayor for the change in SOP that in effect created a sanctuary city right here in Albuquerque. By roughly 6:00 PM the brain trust downtown was furiously sending out faxes to media outlets trying to "clarify" their position; which according to Villanucci created yet another SOP. To say that he wasn't happy would be an understatement. Take a listen below, he calls both APD Spokesman John Walsh and Chief Ray Schultz "liars" and recalls a similar occurence during the recent Red Light Scam-era eruption.

In our opinion, Mr. Villanucci points out the very real problem that our city government and Mayor Chavez in particular have developed a credibility problem. Whether it's red light scam-eras or immigration policy, it's hard to believe anything they tell you when it will literally change in a couple of hours. Villanucci wasn't the only one to notice problems with the new sanctuary city policy.

The Republican Party of New Mexico hit the phones with an autodialer that made the very relevant point that Marty's perfectly happy to hit you up with a scam-era fine but won't protect the rest of us by reporting illegals to ICE.

Is it political... you bet, that's what political party's do. However, it's interesting that the RPNM has decided to go after The Almighty even though his chances of becoming governor or even mayor (yet again) have diminished significantly of late.

We do wonder at the logical disconnect required to happily steal money from the taxpayers of Albuquerque through the red light scam-era system while turning a blind eye to illegal aliens. Is crossing a line at an intersection really more important or dangerous than crossing a line that violates our nation's sovereignty?

Who passed this resolution unanimously?? The Albuquerque City Council, that's who. Maybe a little homework would do you good instead of just turning on the AM dial. Let's give credit where credit is due and not attack the mayor and city officials based on what someone who is trying to use the abq market as a stepping stone has to say.

Lets not shift the blame! We know who controls the APD and pulls Schultz' strings. The Chief should stand up for himself and his personnel, but he won't, and never has! It's a travesty of justice. He just sells them down the river.

Schultz and his staff will just tell more lies and dig himself deeper. He is much worse than Gilbert Gallegos was! At least Gilbert did not have the slightest clue of what was going on in todays policing......

I can't wait to see how they try to play with the numbers this Dec to indicate that they have 1100 officers on the APD..........

If Jim keeps hammering Smarty Marty he could be offered a high paying job at city hall. That is the way Smarty reacts to people he can't control.

As a current APD officer I can't understand how Ray can look in the mirror and not have a problem with who he has become. Maybe if we say Illegals are APD officers he will try and prosecute them!

#1 the council didn't approve this policy. The only resolution they made was not to use city resources to ACTIVELY go after illegals. IF they committed crimes they are fair game.

One thing I noted, the only press conference in which Dicktator not Dictator Marty hasn't been apart of was yesterdays. That's kind of funny since it was all his idea. The timing was funny to, when a real law enforcement leader, the Sheriff from Maricaopa (Phx, AZ) County stated he would not tolerate illegals in his county.

Thank you Sheriff White to bea a real leader as well stating that he gives his deputies full disecretion on dealing with illegals.

Folks they called ILLEGALS because they are here ILLEGALLY. If we had a competent Chief or City Administration they would know this.

On a side note thanks to the men and woman of APD we know your job is hard as it is, doubling the stress when you have an incompetent administration.

Darren White, (InevermetacameraIdidn'tlike) is sounding more and more like someone I want running for mayor.
And I too had high hopes for Ray. I thought he was a decent guy personally. I never thought he'd sell his soul the way he has, I'm ashamed to have once liked him as much as I did, I try to choose my friends more carefully.
What I don't get is what Marty is thinking. It's like he is deliberaltely trying to foil his chances of running for governor. Doesn't he know that although they may be able to have drivers licenses, illegals don't vote? And the rest of us that do? Are tired of living in Big Juarez.

Let's hear it for bigotry! Woo hoo!!!

Anonymous said...

How can anyone call it bigotry to report an llegal alien to ICE? Lets see, the first thing an ILLEGAL does upon entering the U.S. of A. is - commit a crime. Once upon a time I spent a few wasted months dealing with a weed & seed program where the S.O. had assigned a guy to go around the trumbull la mesa area and reach out to all the illegals. At the last meeting in that project he delivered this speech about how they were all his buddies and would call him without fear - so I asked him, "did the advice you gave em' ever include GOING HOME or maybe getting a visa legally?" He, like so many, saw that as racisim, even though we live in a city that is over 65% Hispanic and polls show about 90% want to enforce immigration. I guess all us local 'sorta' mexicans are racists too huh? Idiot

The terror groups have used our open borders to enter. That is a fact. If you think these guys dont have the patience to learn to speak Spanish, or take the time to walk thru some desert terrain to enter the U.S., think about how much easier that is than say - having 13 guys going to flight school and pasing themselves off as student pilots so they can kill 3000 of us. The racism argument is once again being used to cover for criminals. Just like so called profiling, just like the OJ Simpson case, and so on ad nauseum. ANY person who claims this is about racism is functionally retarded.

Come on, folks! This is an absolutely brilliant move by King Marty. Considering all the bridges he's burned with his stupid little "civil" money makers (i.e. red light scameras)there is no way he could EVER get enough votes to be Governor. Solution: Give sanctuary to all the illegals, get them phoney voter ID cards, and BINGO BANGO---he's Governor. That's a guaranteed group of supporters just waiting to be harvested. Brilliant---absolutely freakin genius. Get out while you can people! This place is going to hell in a handbasket, and the bottom's about to fall out!

Anonymous said...

unbe-f***ing-lievable!! Screw over the legitimate citizens of this city, and give a reprieve to the illegals???

Let's put this in perspective. I deal with drunk drivers...often. And 9 times out of ten, the 47 driver is an illegal. It's bad enough that some of them don't have licenses or any kind of valid id, not to mention social security numbers---so you can't even run them for previous 47's so thier pretty little 2007 Ford F250 can be siezed. But now, knowing that you have an illegal in front of you, you can't do anything about it? These idiots come into this country, suck up all our resources, use an already broken system to get things they don't deserve, and break the law without consequence. Unreal. It's not just the drunks. Look what happened in New Jersey. That illegal asshole had a felony record over a mile long, and because they're considered a "sanctuary city" and he effectively manipulated the system, he got out on bail and killed 3 people. It's going to happen here. It's just a matter of time.

What in the hell happened to "LAW ENFORCEMENT"?? Illegal immigrants are BREAKING THE LAW, and we're just going to ignore them? Great. Let's also ignore the car thieves, and the drug dealers, and the shoplifters, and the burglars. Let's ignore them all, and the fifth floor and rank and file can all just focus on how to stab each other in the back and screw each other over. Chavez and Schultz are ruining this city, plain and simple. Way to go, SCUMBAGS!!

Welcome to the Reconquista.

That's all Schultz cares about is how much money he can make! He does not give a shit about his officers!

When Bakas hired Schultz he was told exactly what to do. He started down the dark path on his first day doing whatever Bakas told him to do to hide the EVIDENCE ROOM SCANDAL. Remember, Schultz was the one who ran the evidence room for years prior to the scandal.

Bakas is as dirty as they come and Schultz followed his lead!!!!!! Doing what his master required...

It's all about MONEY for Schultz. No loyality to his department or his officers!

Next Smarty and Ray will be offering them jobs as 34s (officers.) I will be outta this place by the end of the year.

Check out KRQE13, Kim Vallez did one of the best interviews I have seen. She would not back off Mayor Marty and really put him on the spot. His final reply was that the feds don't fund APD to do their work. Geeeez with that type of mentality I guess APD should never call the Secret Service for counterfieting, or call the FBI for bank robberies, or stop anyone who is lurking outside of Kirtland Air Force Base. Either we are all Americans or we aren't. Marty Chavez doesn't have a clue about law enforcement and Schultz just goes along for the ride.

Where are the "posters" that have posted on other comments that was obvious they were Captain or above and Schultz supporters now. Even they can't support this mess and all these lies, its all there in writing now. Hmmmm, where is due process now and all the comments

Anonymous said...

I hope our federal representatives are watching this and pull all federal funding that goes to this city and APD until there is enforcement of this issue. What a frigg'n joke.

Schultz's anecdote about the poor family getting broken up because illegal mom gets busted for a traffic violation is ridiculous. Yeah it would suck but that's what happens when you violate laws. Nooooooo we have to pander to every group to make sure no feelings are hurt. Total horseshit. I'd like to see the SOP written as it is in other states where officers "must" notify ICE agents upon determining that a suspect is an illegal alien.

I hate to quote a marine but I have no choice:
"Our Country won't go on forever, if we stay soft as we are now. There won't
be any AMERICA because some foreign soldiery will invade us and take our
women and breed a hardier race!"
-Lt. Gen. Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC

Anyone that knows APD's Policy knows that APD can not change the SOP 2-3 times in one day. Folks, that just does not happen. It must have board approval. The board is made up of different officers within the dept. It take some time, at least a week to get everyone to meet on an issue, not hours!

First, the new policy must be written up and submitted to the Policy and Procedures Review Board. The board will then present it at their next meeting, which is held only once a month.

The person making the change will be allowed to speak on behalf of the change. The board then votes whether they feel the change is beneficial to the dept. If approved by the board, it then goes to the Chief for a signature, and then back to the board to be placed in the SOP. This takes time!

This whole process takes time, in many cases up to several weeks to change a policy. There is no way that APD admin could have legally changed their immigration policy 2-3 times in one day just to try to clarify it for the talk show host without violating their own policy.

They were just blowing smoke up Jim V. skirt!!!!!! Covering their behind.

Anyone can check the SOP on Changing policy. It clearly spells out the process, and it does not happen in hours!

Way to bust them Jim!

All the officers on APD know that that Chief Schultz could give a shit about following his own dept's policy. He violates it daily. In his mind, it only applies to his officers, it's not for he and his staff to follow. They do as they please!

Anonymous said...

That poster above it correct. The SOP cannot be changed so quickly. Come on media don't let these clown off the hook, you let them go when you had them on red light cameras, the number of APD cops, Schultz and the evidence room etc. We need more 770 KKOB folks like Jim and KRQE 13 folks like Kim. They are not falling for the BS. Poor Marty looked just lost in the interview last night and Schultz just babbled to Dick on 13 earlier in the day. For once I am proud of the media, please keep pressing these spin masters.

Anonymous said...

Hey, I have an idea? Someone call the Dept and see if the Policy Board did meet?..................
Oh guess what? They did! before 3pm! before Jim's show!!!!!
So please stop the BS.

Anonymous said...

I applaud the media for walking right through the wall of political babble and rigamarole. To the poster above that mentioned the procedure for changing an SOP...That is the standard process for writing an SOP....however when you get your tail caught in the door and you look like a buffoon...that will motivate you to speed up the process and run right through the hurdles. Think of it like a car chase....the pursed vehicle does not obey all the traffic regulations...they run like they are scared and try to get away any way they can...that is what happened. The rumor mill provided me with a snippet about a small group of people meeting at the main and creating revisionist history....but that is the rumor mill. The chief has left his troops far behind in pursuit of his own agenda and future career/political aspirations...he very quickly forgot where he came from. As far as federal money....yes...this department counts on plenty of federal grants and infrastructure money...don't let anyone lie to you about that.

Anonymous said...

Im sure the policy board met, but have you ever waited for months to get a change put through? It took 4 months to get a Taser SOP changed but we can hold a policy board meeting moments before Villanucci's show so no one on air can be called a liar? Good lord!

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I wonder how many members actually on the board showed and voted???? I'll bet they just made their own board with a few of the Chief's staff members. Not a real or full board with the the proper members in attendance!!! I too heard how the board was suddenly slapped togeather.... Not the way things are to be done at APD!!!!!!!

Oh, unless you are Ray Schultz and John Walsh and you're in a jam for being lying weasels......

Anonymous said...

Your retired...go away. Get a life. You must have something better you can do? Wal-mart? Maybe.

Anonymous said...

When APD reponds to other federal crimes such as bank robberies, drug seizures and bomb explosions do they call the feds out? If so, why do they not use ICE, as immigration is also a federal crime.

In other cities, the feds go out on these crimes and take over the investigations.

Anonymous said...

In theory, that's exactly how it's supposed to work. But this is Albuquerque. Land of the lawless. Feds? We don't need to stinking feds!

Anonymous said...

what is up with the comment about the retired? Hell we retired guys arent all bitter or screwed up and we are willing to talk the talk without fear of reprisal, so why the angst?

Anonymous said...

Last post, you're right we retired guys just care about the direction the dept is going. We hate to see a place where we put 20 years in go down the shitter.

Some of us would like to see the morale way up and the troops treated with the respect they've earned and deserve! Not treated worse the the illegal aliens.

Remember they are on the streets
risking their lives, not behind a desk.

Without them there would be no APD.

We just ask that the admin place them before their own personal agenda's!

Anonymous said...

What does retired guys have to do with the sanctuary stuff? Isn't there another blog for this?

Anonymous said...

This is not new. On the street in 2004 I was verbally reprimanded for inquiring about a suspects residency status.

Anonymous said...

You probably deserved it. I bet it had nothing to do with resident status. Scan & post your card file, prove what you say.....

Anonymous said...

Yeah, to the poster who wants the 34's card file scanned?
You're just another good soldier too aren't you? I wish all cops were like the previous poster, not only was he concerned about our city, he was concerned about our country, and damn, we wouldn't want to upset Marty who's probably sneaking his extended family across even as we speak.
He forgets that they can't vote. But WE can, and will.

Anonymous said...

"He forgets that they can't vote. But WE can, and will."

Oh, they'll vote. Marty will make sure of that. It's the only way in hell he'd ever be elected Governor, and he knows it.

Google "voter fraud in New Mexico".

Like I said post your card file, then we'll talk.
