By an overwhelming margin, respondents to our extended Eye Poll felt that Elton John Richard II should be either pardoned or have his sentence commuted to time served. Only 30% of our readers felt that Big Bill should not intervene, while 12% felt that a commutation is in order 56% (almost 2 to 1) felt that the Richard should be pardoned outright (read it here).
We tend to agree with the outcome of our poll. We believe that Mr. Richard is serving a sentence for making every attempt to detain a criminal for lawful prosecution. Unfortunately, Romero chose to attack a determined marine just one too many times. As we've said before, this is the type of case that the executive pardon was made for.
There's been a lot of heated debate going on around here concerning the new APD contract, the APOA and the handling of the contract's ratification. It's good to see such strong feelings from both sides. So, just guess what the Eye Poll is about... Yep, whether or not the APOA should re-vote on the contract after all of this fine debate and after everyone has had a chance to actually review the contract themselves. Don't for get to vote!
The Piercing Truth
This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Why doesn't the apoa pay for richards attorney fees with their credit card. Richard killed him plain and simple wait till the facts come out
This is over and done with. Richard was found guilty. He broke the law. He shoulda/coulda/woulda beat the crap outa this guy and waited for police. Simple.
Human garbage is what Romero WAS.
In this case, yes, the personal possesions/valuables were certainly worth more than that piece of shit. Good ridence. It's just too bad someone wasn't there to help Richard haul his mangy ass off to the city dump for the rats to feed on.
That's how we deal with maggots like that where I come from.
Right on !! You will certainly change your tune when one of these drug dealer gang banger bastards comes to do your family just to feed his drug habit. Just a matter of when, not if.
Since we are undermanned at APD the citizens have to recourse but to resort to vigilantism.
Check out the ploe to the right. 33 votes for "No, they voted, it's done"
All votes came from the 5th floor.
Way to go guys.
(City Computers)
How can they vote from City computers? Wasn't this web site blocked from City computers?
Yes, all computers except the Cheif's office. They are so self absorbed in this site that that's what they're focus is
Talk about censorship..
Kind of like the recent censorship of the news by Schultz
Joe Citizen here. I'm not sure I understand what the big deal is with having another vote... If enough people ask for it then it should be allowed. If it still passes then nobody can bitch.
Look at the bright side, whether or not this gets a re-vote you can bet more people will start paying closer attention to what's getting voted on.
This site IS NOT blocked from all city computers. The 11th floor has ISD tracking all city workers who are looking & posting.
In my department (I'm not @ PD) you can read this site, but it's weird because on one terminal in particular you cannot post, but you can post from the other ones! Strange....anyway the city monitors everything we read/post/blog.etc. We can't access our personal e-mail accounts, so whatever's left that we can surf they can monitor. I don't give a F*%K!
