The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Happy 4th of July Albuquerque; 236 Years of Freedom

236 years ago today, the Declaration of Independence was signed.

We hope all realize the price of "freedom" is very high. We salute the men and women who have served and/or are currently serving in the armed forces.

Lives were lost and people were injuried in order for the U.S.A. to gain its freedom. For those who have made the ultimate sacrifice; we would like to thank them and for the families of the deceased, we thank you for your loved one's sacrifice and for defending our Country.

If you see one of the men and/or women who serve our community, this includes military, police, fire, rescue and medical personnel; tell them THANK YOU FOR THEIR SERVICE TO US AND OUR COMMUNITY!

May GOD bless the greatest Country known to all;

THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA!

It is a real shame that the citizens of this country do not exude a more outwardly expression of patriotism other than their weak attempta couple time a year.

Even on those "couple time a year", I think you are confusing "patriotism" with "party-time".

236 years ago we declared our independence...yet the Union shills have gotten a man elected president that is the opposite of patriotic. His father was a socialist from Kenya, and he learned very early on to hate what American Patriotism stood for. This is the guy that bows to foreign dictators and is currently providing passive support to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt. This is the guy who's pastor of 25 years, the man that married he and his wife, is a devout Black Liberation theologist. This is the guy that nominated justices to the Supreme court that voted to overturn the 2nd amendment of the constitution. I could go on for hours...this is guy is the anti patriot...yet you will fall in line with your union and support him...just because he has your ass covered for getting him elected. You should all be ashamed of yourselves...have you forgotten the way he treated the cops that arrested his preacher friend? Sure he had a beer with him later...that doesn't erase what he said. He has proven himself over and over to be anti cop...but pro police union. Pick your side fellas.

Can't you malcontents just thank those who have sacrificed for this country instead of spewing hate and discontent!? Really!

Thank you veterans and public servants for getting our back!

@ 5:56...really? You are the ones who haven't done any research on the guy...he's never even had a real job! He is the most unqualified person ever elected to president. He has a long line of scary associations and beliefs. It's scary to me that all of that gets ignored by the mainstream media. You need to do your research on this guy...I'm not Mitt Romney fan either...but at least I don't have to worry that he'll raise my taxes or take any of my freedoms. Obama will...mark my words...if he gets elected again...lame duck term...he'll get stupid. From drug decriminalization to wacko supreme court justices...to the second amendment and another assault weapon law. Just wait...you are all sheep.

Any time you have Marxists and stinky Subaru driving hippies standing on your side of the line...you need to think about where you're standing!

11:19 - Go join the military and prove your patriotism! Bet you won't, because all you do is spew hate. If you hate what this country is or has you say become - LEAVE! No you are here getting paid by taxpayers. You need to quit drink the kool-aide. President Obama is here to stay! HAHAHAHA!

Not to mention the fact that this guy killed federal agents by running guns to Mexico...now he's covering it up. He also prosecuted Border Patrol agents and CIA agents for doing their jobs...you guys have short memories.

You just proved my point with your last paragraph. I'm done fighting with a robotic, right wing nutcase. Create an original thought once in a while.

In February 2005, Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean spotted a van headed across the border into the United States. The agents gave chase and one of them ended up in a scuffle with a Mexican drug smuggler known as Osbaldo Aldrete-Davilla. One of the agents saw a gun in the smuggler's hand and fired at him, before Aldrete-Davilla fled back across the border into Mexico. The smuggler was shot in the buttocks and was observed jumping into an awaiting vehicle on the Mexican side of the border.

The van driven by the smuggler was left behind along with 743 pounds of marijuana. A few months later, he was caught once again smuggling drugs into this country. While in custody, he was given immunity from prosecution in both cases in exchange for his testimony against Agents Ramos and Compean. In addition to immunity, the taxpayers assisted him with travel expenses and provided him with medical treatment at a U.S. Army facility in Texas. Once Aldrete-Davilla testified and completed his medical treatments, he promptly filed a $5 million lawsuit against the U.S. Border Patrol for violating his rights.

Sutton's office received a great deal of public criticism for his treatment and unfair prosecution of these two agents, while Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA) led a Republican movement in Congress to pardon these two men. Of course, president Bush commuted the sentences of Ramos and Compean on his last day of office. However, the felony conviction remains on their records and the two men can no longer work in law enforcement.

Yes, the last paragraph says President BUSH doesn't it? Your rants fall short of the truth and are believed only by other NON intellegent people with nothing better to be mad at. Plese move on wing nut..

-U.S. Border Patrol Agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Alonso Compean were sentenced to11 and 12 year federal prison sentences respectively. Sutton charged these two men with assault with a deadly weapon, various firearms charges, and with violating a drug smuggler's civil rights.

Hey Eye, write something up about the Journal revelation that 58 of the 129 APD officers who received retention bonuses, should not have. It was in the July 7 Journal. This was exposed in an internal city audit. APD had Karen Salazar respond and she basically said it was a paperwork mistake. That APD command staff didn't have the retention forms in a timely manner, so some retention bonuses were approved late (illegal I think), that bonuses were approved even though a satisfactory evaluation was required and none were done by the supervisors and commanders and that it was all Marty Chavez fault, even though the program ran from 2008 through 2011.

Hmmmmmmm who was chief during this mess? Oh yeah, the guy who didn't want to be interviewed, RAY SCHULTZ. And this program was in place the first year or two for Richard Berry.

So will anyone at APD be held responsible for this? Heck NO! That would mean someone on Ray's staff being held accountable (maybe Ray himself) and that doesn't happen at APD.

What a mess, I can't wait to read what the Eye thinks of this.

How about something positive EYE. I know Ed, Paul, BK21 and Brad can come out with something positive. How about the great job MOST of the officers at APD do. The garbage about Ray Ray is getting old. He is a loser and we all know he needs to go.

Anonymous said...

The problem with APD is the double standard for officers as compared with command staff. An officer does his/her job and has to punch a violent offender and watch out, Ray is going to fire you.

Ray and his command staff waste millions o taxpayer dollars throught mismanagement and not one of them is held accountable.

There it is, the officer gets slammed for doing their job and the command staff gets nothing for not doing theirs.

That is the problem.

Positive shit is what the "Fans" page is for. This is for the darkside of APD's leaders. The eye has always been the brown eye for APD and always will be. Remember the good ol days when they were threatening warrants and shit?!?!? Bring it....

They deserve their jobs back and a Medal ceremony for their for the great police work in taking a dangerous criminal off the streets and keeping us safe...
