The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Schultz continues to expedite his departure with more Mis-management

"We need to restore public trust, public confidence and reach out to the community."
—APD Chief Ray Schultz, May 27, 2005.

In the wake of APD’s Evidence Room scandal APD Chief Gil Gallegos resigned and APD’s current chief, Raymond Schultz, walked in to save the day. Chief Schulz made the above remarks in an Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce meeting days after coming in as the chief of the state’s largest law enforcement agency. Yet, here we are, almost 7 ½ years later, and public trust and public confidence is at an even lower level than it was back when Chief Schultz made these remarks. We would think it was ironic if it weren’t for the fact that the original evidence room scandal occurred and unfolded while under the watch of then Deputy Chief Schultz.

As we reported earlier this year, the fiasco that happened in the evidence room, where money, guns, and drugs were stolen occurred under Deputy Chief Ray Schultz’s command. Despite concerns being raised by officers and the initiation of IA investigations, all efforts to objectively and thoroughly resolve the issue were suppressed by APD’s current chief: Raymond Schultz. The city’s own report (here) confirms this.

Yet now, it seems problems in the evidence unit are unfolding once again. As many of our Eyes, in colorful fashion, posted, there appears to be highly…inappropriate behavior going on in what is supposed to bean otherwise secure storage facility. There also appears to be video records of these activities that have been erased. Changing public records and tampering with evidence, we’d like to remind our readers, are serious felony offenses. In a city where its mayor actively promotes “Transparency” it seems the transparent thing to do would be to have NMSP or the AG’s office come in, and once again, conduct an investigation. In a department that its chief says earns an “A” we’d expect nothing but blue ribbon investigation when it comes to problems of its own. If APD wants to earn the respect of its citizens, its officers, and other departments, then it needs to hold itself to a higher standard. That specifically includes the executive staff.

If personnel are illegally gaining access to the warehouse and committing inappropriate acts, what else are they doing with evidence that is being held for pending or other criminal offenses. How many cases have now been put in jeopardy because of APD’s or the crime lab’sdirectory, Marc Adams, inaction?

Our recommendation to those folks that are witnesses to these suspected crimes are get in touch with the appropriate law enforcement authorities outside of APD or you can forward proof to us here at the EYE and we will get it to the appropriate authorities. Cell phone camera shots, videos, documents, or even dates of the events will help us ascertain what exactly is going on. As you’ve seen, posts with detailed personal information DO NOT get posted and we at the EYE fully believe in keeping the confidence of, and supporting, people who are trying to do the right thing…..

Unfortunately, the current issues have a certain parallel with the past evidence room/crime lab issues. That parallel would be the certain indescretions and inappropriate behavior of sworn personell, supervisiors, and civilian staff. If it was as easy as identifying a criminal act and tying it to a suspect, or recognizing administrative issues, the problems would be easily fixed by way of criminal charges, discipline, or termination. But, when these other side-issues, say infidelity and extramarital affairs in the workplace tend to be so rampant, the waters tend to muddy a bit. Now there are households and marriages to keep in tact, there are personal and institutional images to uphold, and there are political aspirations to maintain. Certainly an outside authority should conduct the investigation, but it was done last time by the AG's Office and here we are again today with the same issues. Until a cultural change occurs and APD ondergoes a complete re-do, something similar to this will undoubtedly occur again. Too many people, from the lowest of ranks all the way up through the administration, have turned this professional establishment into a playground. Where is the true transarency, and why are leaders not held accountable...

If anyone has evidence of criminal activity or having sex while at work in the evidence warehouse or anywhere else, please send THE EYE the information. I have provided The Eye with my contact information and I will take action. Most have my phone number ask around I am easy to find. If you have evidence, Schultz and company can't touch you. Don't be afraid, becaue if you are you become part of the problem. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH !!!!!!!!

Now I know what happened to the belt tape evidence that disappeared in my case. It appears body cavity searches are in order at APD's evidence whore, eeh I meant, warehouse.

I thought the evidence room was being run by professionals. But it sounds like there is a civilian in charge that has no idea what he is doing... All officers that tag in ANYTHING from now on, need to make an extra copy of everything and keep it in a safe place. Because it sounds like stuff is disappearing again and the DOJ or AG's office will be coming for you... Use your lapel camera even better....

If you tag anything into evidence just worry about pills. Seems to be the drug of choice.
Unless you tag a sexy co-worker who likes to have affairs guess you better xerox a copy of them before they enter vault.

A scum bag chief who uses his officers to get his own worthless dishonest, ass out of hot water is a disgraceful vermin who needs to be put in front of a judge to explain his sickening cowardly actions.

Maybe the news should get things strait, two of the officers that they slandered last evening were doing their jobs arresting a murder suspect who WAS armed. They printed in their own newspaper that the guy had a gun, and knives on him. What more do they need to know about how dangerous that suspect was?
Meanwhile, people who were not doing their jobs like sigala were skipped over. WTF is wrong with this world? Beat your wife and steal money and they forget about you. Bang fellow employees up the ass in the stairwells of public buildings and they forget about it. Bang your partner's wife and they forget about it. APD is a cowardly disgrace, that turns a blind eye to disgusting cowardly cretin lowlife backstabbing behavior.

If any of that evidence room behavior is truthful, they all need to be exposed, fired and arrested for theft of services while on the clock, then charged with criminal trespassing if they had no right being there.

The latest on the evidence room nonsense, the Camacho shell casing fiasco and the giving back of guns to people without a proper backround checks from evidence needs to be documented, packaged up, and sent to the lab accreditation association so that they can pull THEIR certification. This is a disgrace. The 5th floor is nothing but a bunch of documented liars.

You here that ray, its what the officers felt that you went after felt when you retaliated against. From costales, camacho, ahrensfield, heh, walck, woolover. Except they are innocent and you are guilty. There's pages of depositions where you lied. Former captains that have testified to the truth and you lied. There's emails and recordings. You think that Feist lying on the news regarding releasing the shell casing to camacho is ok. Saying there was a judge order when there wasn't. You see ray, you have screwed many people. You get one piece here and there, put them together and that's one ugly puzzle of you. You went after innocent officers and played with their lives. It's not a coincidence of the timing of this. Last week was the evidence issue, this week is DOJ coming to town. There's a big snowball that is gaining speed.

Iffen i was a gambler, i'd be betting that the 5th floor is struggling to keep their poker face on in light of the feds coming in and them all going to prison. Just sayin. You dont frame people these days and get away with it. Ya just dont.

Sounds like guns, drugs and money are disappearing in evidence AGAIN. Are Darren and Peaches running the show??????

I see Schultz is taking credit for a DUI arrest at the parade today.

Was he wearing his lapel camera and if so did he turn it on? Can we all review the tape to make sure he did not violate any SOP during this arrest? He KRQE do a public information request for the Schultz lapel camera. If he wasn't wearing one ask him if he is going to give himself days off.

Omg god could you imagine that 47 16 case...lthe def will shred Schultzvto pieces. I wonder if he's still certified on the intoxilyzer.....

"even at a distance he smelled alcohol" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH......I smell bullshit!!! And baton strike to the car after he stopped?? What was your basis for extraction??? What were the exigent circumstances?!?! A 54 while on a Segway?

Anonymous said...

first of all, this story is careless and poorly written. Expedite is spelled wrong. What happened to the eye? Second, what happened to the investigation on Sigala and garcia? Garcia is about to be promoted too. Just like Fernando, fuck up get promoted. WONDERFUL

Did ya'll see Rob Gibbs just smiling ear to ear while he described ALL THAT the Chief observed ref the DWI. "Obvious visible signs of intoxication".. What a kiss ass. Was a lapel camera in operation during the incident?? Or will we all get to see the incident from another 34's camera due to Schultz not wearing one? Or will Schultz tell us all his camera was not working properly (Sgt Peck). Did Schultz do the entire DWI or did he violate SOP and call for a FSB unit... Can't wait for the 42.. Let's see what happens when he doesn't show for a pretrial hearing, MVD hearing, or Metro court.. Case dismissed...

THE CHIEF BUSTS A PARADE CRASHER AND WHEN THE GUY WON'T GET OUT OF HIS CAR SCHULTZ BREAKS HIS WINDOW OUT.

And the double and triple standards come a rollin in.
Now Channel 7 News just did a story on why the chief can't obey his own policy. As a matter of fact, neither can his deputy. It seems that they didn't activate their lapel cameras when they decided to knock that guy's window out at the state fair. Two things are alarming here. They smashed this guy's window out. I guess schultz couldn't be kindler and gentler and talk the guy out of the car? Schultz couldn't activate his camera because he had a whistle in his mouth whilst trying to control his chariot. Are you friggen kidding me? That's this clown's excuse for not following SOP? He needs to see if the light is on to activate it? BULLSHIT. It has a button. You just push it. I find it funny how officers are patrolling on foot, but yet again this pompous grandstander tools around on a segway. It doesn't stop there! Schultz and banks were so bionic that day they used their wonder twin powers to smell the odor of alcoholic beverages alledgedly eminating from the suspect through a slightly cracked window "even at a distance" as their in house PIO resident gimp shoeshine boy puts it!!!! Wow!
That serious face must be scary. What does it look like because all I see is the liar face?

NOW FOR HE'S A JOLLY GOOD FELLA!!!
They gave him a round of applause because it was surreal seeing a clown looking like a soup sandwich, driving a segway like a fool with his baton and a wistle in his mouth like Barney Fife the mall cop. Well, it seems that by the circumstances presented that schultz ALREADY had it in his mind to do something with his baton before even getting to the suspect. This would tell someone looking at this situation from the outside that he made up his mind to use some kind of force before even reaching the suspect. Had this guy even had a chance to get out of the car? Surely king schultz wasn't thinking of jousting with the car. And why have your baton out before you know what was going on with this guy? The guy could have been a diabetic? Just sayin. The litmus lie test will be the guys blood alcohol. There have been people with .18 blood alcohol that I had to lean into the window to smell the scent of alcohol. Seems that little old cuck gimp boy may have over represented that little claim of smelling alcohol from that far away under these circumstances. A misrepresentation to "make the chief look good" MAYBE??? Because we all know that he, nor his disciples never do that, now do they?

HERO OF THE DAY PART DEUX

So let's do a little recap shall we? The chief chases a car and knows the guy is a drunk driver already, because he smelled it from a distance through a partially cracked window. HE smashes the window out, and he never activates his lapel camera. Neither does a second backup DCOP? Hmmmmmmmmmmmm!
Was the chief wearing his helmet while riding his segway, or did he not want to mess up his pretty hair for the cameras? Oops, I forgot, there were no cameras...The excuses made are that he had his whistle in his big mouth. He had a baton in his hand, and he was trying to control that high horsepower segway. Hmmmmmmmmmm.......
If not activating the camera is not an issue because of the rapid escalation of events, then why all the embellished excuses??? Things that make ya go Hmmmmmmmmmm......
Like hypocrisy. Every officer needs to print out the article on teh front page of channel 7's web site and keep it in their car for when king hypocrit schultz and his DCOP Sir Lie-A-Lot try to burn them for not activating their cameras, BECAUSE APD SAID:

"The APD said it’s a requirement to wear the lapels, but it’s not a requirement for officers to turn them on if they are caught in a situation where they have to respond quickly."

Remember that fellas, next time you want to cram it up a cops ass sideways. It's the new millenniun there's record of everything.

Seems hypocrisy was the word of the day at the state fair.

1.Officers will activate lapel cameras, Unless you are schultz.

2.The chief wants kindler and gentler more understanding officers, unless you are schultz and so pissed off that he has to chase you that he pulls out his baton before he even knows what he has.

3.You will wear helmets unless you are the king of APD.

Just another pathetic day in the life of a narcissist who calls the media on himself. And now they print stories using new journalists over at the "urinal" to make it appear that they are not bias. We all know the truth. It's the 5th floor that's deficient in that aspect.
Nobody's drinking the kool aide anymore raymond.

8:29....you kill me hahahahahahaha, slap bellly, hahahahahah. APD has fallen to shit, felonies once again are happening in evidence, the chief has lost his marbles, crimes are being committed, fucktards are getting promoted and your first thought is whether EXPEDITE is spelled correctly?!?!?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH. OMG, go back to your knees!!!

Anonymous said...

Is a Segway a visibly marked unit??? How do we know the PERP didn't think the guy on the Segway was just ANOTHER CLOWN in the parade...... Did you see Banks on his Segway???

Anonymous said...

Have an affair and get promoted. Be under investigation, where it is reported you admitted to taking money that doesn't belong to you, get promoted.

Way to go Schultz! APD is promoting trash, but Schultz says the problems are with Sergeants and patrolmen. I think the problem with APD stems at the top not the bottom.

Oh yeah, no lapel camera running on Shultz or on Banks. Surprise. They have a lot of excuses for not following SOP. Of course Schultz will not be held accountable, he never is.

Anonymous said...

Tell me is just aint so. Comments made on the 11th floor indicate Berry is going to keep Schultz. Jump ship if you can cause if he stays and has the backing of the Mayor no one will be safe.

Anonymous said...

Felipe Garcia is untouchable like barboa, he knows way too much! As far as Schultzs lapel camera he was wearing it as he always does so i wonder if it was running as required on all DWI arrests? Wasn't there just a special order on that? Maybe in the heat of the moment he finally sees what field 34's have seen for years that you cant always turn those things on as things are rapidly occurring. Field 34's get in trouble for not using cameras but i sure Schultz will give himself a verbal discipline to cover the media fall out coming.

Anonymous said...

Well Well Well....
Look closely at Mr. DCOP...
Looks to me like he never had his camera on his lapel.

Now you have the PIO lying to protect the DCOP. I guess the chief's excuse doesn't go for the DCOP also, now does it Mr. Gibbs? Welcome to their liars club!

Anonymous said...

Guess were all off the hook for not recording every incident like we are suppose to.

dont forget after every IA statement say that you "answered to the best of my ability." Thats how Banks got out of his lies at Doyle's hearing.

Anonymous said...

yo chief, it's a button, press it.

We did not see a lapel camera on Bank's uniform at least not where all the officers seem to be wearing it these days. Banks was seen on TV operating a Segway without a helmet so we are sure he didn't have his camera on his uniform.. Did ya'll see how Banks was shown on TV appearing to be reaching back as if to remove a set of handcuffs?? He doesn't have cuffs back there either.. We would even say he wasn't wearing a vest you know its so hot out... Double standards disgusting...

Anonymous said...

Berry will not be a two term Mayor.. Paul Heh will see to that.... There are way too many City employees that are disgusted by the Mayor and others in government and those employees have family members that VOTE... GET OUT AND VOTE THIS NOVEMBER...

Come on now. I like the new way of policing in the 21th century. If it was a DWI offender at a checkpoint anyone of you would have done the same thing.

Give the Chief a break, arresting a DWI offender by breaking out a window.

Now thats Police work.

Anonymous said...

Why is this EVEN news?? Officers arrest DWI drivers every day.

You guys's are so mean with the big chalupa head running in APD. Give him a brake alredy.
