The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. The Killers Get Away

This has been quite a week for tragedy and drama in the Duke City.

It began with a federal judge apparently putting forward an opinion as if it were written by the city of Albuquerque when it comes to police misconduct. In 22 pages, Judge Garza dismissed six claims against the city stemming from APD's "misconduct" at the suspicious death scene of Mary Han. You're loveable Eye is no legal scholar but given the issues raised in the case, it seems this opinion just opened the door wider to questions rather than putting concerns to bed. The judge basically seems to have said, "Yeah the city is right. Dismissed".  But doesn't that just beg to ask why? Did a killer just get away with murder?

Then we had another shooting involving multiple women. And of course because of Berry/Perry's mismanagement of APD there were few cops on duty to respond so of course the killer got away.

Things here in Albuquerque are starting to line up between those that do no wrong and those that get hammered for doing nothing. And it's time we play a little catch up and start identifying those persons who seem to be the protected class in a city that is at the bottom of the recent 200 economic list, and a state that is at the bottom of every list.....

Albuquerque Mayor Berry has been in office for nearly 6 years and quality of life in ABQ has worsened! Due to a lack of resources and gross neglect from Mayor Berry; murdes crime gangs and drugs trafficking go largly unchecked!

What's worse the local media and independent journalists refuses to investigate and report on the depth and extent of organized crime that exists in Albuquerque and New Mexico. Our Police Officers are fearful of speaking honestly on this ongoing sad state of affairs due to administrative retaliation.

Here is a small step in the right direction. Force your Local Unions; Police, Fire and AFSCME to do more commercials about the community. See below!

Mayor Berry has Failed...!
http://youtu.be/AHX7NznzjTc

This will help build public support for those serving on the front line of public safety and will force accountability onto those pay to play administrators, CAO Perry and Mayor Berry!

The message on ABQ is spreading! See below!
They are feeling the pressure! It's your responsibility to put the blame where it belongs! Right back on the Mayor and Governor!

Hold the elected accountable! Don't just sit and wait for their term to expire!

Here is one for the media, do a public records request for the number of officers actually working when the shooting of the 4 women occurred, better yet, do the same for the 2 transients who were murdered.

You will find that the daily line ups show very few officers working as actual first responders. Yet Eden and Huntsman keep all their friends in closets downtown.

Since when did we not support Field Services Uniform patrol? We have so many officers as PIOs that they trip over each other running away from wearing a uniform. Janet Blair gets $95,000 per year, but we still need Ferris and friends doing the PIO work. And since when is SOP detail or IT work more important than responding promptly to 911 calls for help from citizens? Schultz drove APD into the abyss. Banks did nothing to change it and Eden has no clue what is going on. He brings in Huntsman who created the mess in SWAT and who has little time and no respect for uniform patrol.

APD command staff has lost it's way. They don't remember what is important and what is not. Let's just pull more officers out of the field and make more specialized units.

What was Ferris trying to say on TV the other night. Something like pray for us and have a good night. Why is she even doing Janet Blair's work? Someone please tell her if she has not important information, please stop talking. And why are APD officers doing Janet Blair's work?

So few officers responding to calls, yet Eden and Huntsman spend their time and our money buying new toys because their SWAT guys tell them they need it. I don't think the SWAT guys can handle new equipment, I mean they haven't figured out how to turn on their lapel cameras after the Boyd shooting. Instead of buying SWAT new armored vehicles how about giving them an order to obey the SOP and turn on their lapel cameras. Oh I forgot, Huntsman created the current SWAT team. Nothing will change at APD.

Funny, unions like AFSCME and CWA are not looked upon nicely by the public. They bleed the tax payers dry and have the gall to keep asking for more. If one of the unions posts anything it will fly in the face of public opinion. AFSCME way to go! The state will likely have to drop or cut many neccessary public programs to meet your millons of back pay. So, be happy your bleeding the needy by taking food out of their mouths and keep raping the tax paying citizens of NM. Thank you and now go f..k yourselves on behalf of every tax paying citizen and those you have srewed over who do not have a voice.

One day these arrogant corrupt officials are going to push someone too far. One day. Soon just one of their snarky comments is going to be the one that pushes someone over the edge. They laugh, taunt, put the fix in, and play games with people's lives, and they are going to push that envelope just a little too far with someone one day and they are going to get exactly what they are asking for. One day someone is going to have just a little too much of these people getting away with all of this. They are going to screw with the wrong person who does not have the patience to deal with their criminal behavior and all bets will be off. One day. If they were smart they would really think about quitting while they were ahead instead of continuing to throw gasoline on the fire and enraging everyone more and more with their lies and taunting behavior. You just can't do this for that long without the law of averages catching up with you in a very bad way.

The City doesn't acknowledge the problems at APD. http://tablet.krqe.com/r3012/9f6aa272

No acknowledgement, no changes.

I watched the "Mayor Berry has FAILED to KEEP YOU SAFE!" video and while I do not necessarily disagree with the content, I found it laughable that scumbags Slopez and Willowboy would be the messengers.
Clean up your own house before you expect anyone to listen...
The way I see it, no one still employed by the department gets it, the department needs to be disbanded and the badge retired - simply isn't anything left worth saving.

Funny how Judge Garza's term expires right before she tosses the Han family lawsuit: http://judgepedia.org/Carmen_Garza

The city should mandate plaques be mounted over the entrance to the city attorney's office, the mayor's office, and ALL of the offices on the 3rd floor of the APD main building that says "Make up the truth here and stick to it"

I am absolutely fascinated when anyone lashes out at AFSCME for winning the back pay.
Here's how the real world works. If you want to hire a guy to fix something in your house, or build you a house, you agree to a price, then you pay the guy as he does the work.
Here's what Susana did. She said here's the contract of what we agreed to pay. Fuck you, build the house, and I will pay you only part of what we agreed to. If you think about stopping work I will have you arrested, yes arrested.
If you did that to the guy building your house we all agree he has the right to smack a lien on that house by going to court.
Why is that any different?
Why not be pissed off that Susanna and RJ have spent tens of thousands, approaching a million, in legal fees because they feel they deserve the house, the upgrades, and they don't have to honor the price agreed to.
Take a page from any other location in the Country. Those politicians honor their contracts, actually negotiate at the table versus saying fuck you (quoting a government representaive when handed the Unions starting proposal) and guess what, not only do they get their request, the Unions often help them identify more ways to save money.

It is a shame that judges act with impunity, no accountability, and no regard for the concept of justice. They are truly immune from responsibility. Judge Garza's ruling, at the end of her term, goes to the root of political manipulations in what should be a political free forum, the court. I am glad Tourek is happy, he is doing his job as an advocate, helping his client, the city, get by with possible murder. I am ashamed of New Mexico and of the city of Albuquerque. I am a conservative, but I did not vote for Berry and will not vote for Martinez. At the core of conservatism is the freedom of the individual from undue government influence in his/her daily lives. Berry and Martinez have allowed government to run rampant, to trample on the rights of individuals, to prevent its people from earning a living. The pursuit of happiness has gotten out of reach for most New Mexico citizens. Citizens living in fear of what seems to be an out of control police department; mentally handicapped individuals having no resources to turn to, and an education system failing its students on every level. The APD is merely the tip of a very corrupt and incompetent iceberg, the death of Mary Han will eventually be investigated properly and I believe many power brokers in Albuquerque will finally receive justice. At least I pray they do.

Ref to 10:00 pm post.

How easy it is to blame unions for taxpayers woes, especially when corporations can take what is called tax inversion and move their base overseas to a subsidiary and not pay their fair share of taxes they owe in this country! And they call themselves patriots! It was not the unions that got us in this mess it was Gov Susana that tried to take the easy way out and balance the budget on the backs of her employees. So typical of republican'ts, and uninformed taxpayers like yourself fall for this sad ploy.

Newsflash; do a little research on what your tax rate is in comparison to the corporations and the rich....you will be surprised. Then tell me who is taking the food out your big uneducated mouth.

11:43am - kudos for you! Yet another highly accurate description of our dysfunctional morons in APD. Now get ready for all the lame excuses and "justifications" to fly out of the asses of the mentally challenged heroes in blue. "Just walk a mile in my shoes!", "I passed physical training that would make the military and even the girl scouts laugh". "I have to go home safe no matter what because the new decals for my skateboard came in the mail yesterday". "Some guy stuck out his tongue at me today and I exercised all my admirable heroic self-restraint by just showing him my awesome 'you don't know who you're fucking with' look and conquering the strong urge to shoot him".

Anonymous said...

Yeah, I don't get it. Fugitive that is armed and dangerous has been on the run after killing his ex-girlfriend and injuring three others. He shoots at APD officers with a high power weapon and APD officers DON'T fire back?

Yet there's people with mental disabilities, homeless people with and without mental disabilities that are holding a phone, a pocket folding knife or a spoon and APD officers shoot to kill?

Are APD officers like this because of the Hyde case?

Are they afraid of those types of people or is it that APD officers don't think that a homeless person with or without mental disabilities or a person that has a mental disability that is killed won't be missed or that anyone will care?

The APD officers that have shot and killed the homeless or disabiled are no better than the three boys that killed the two homeless men.

Those boys were indited for murder as those officers should be indited for murder.

Murder is murder you bastards.

It's good to be a Berry bunny. Where oh where do you go after you've lost your bounce? Why Expo New Mexico of course! Darren got a great deal with the racino. I see Erin Kinnard Thompson on the news as Expo's spokesperson. Who still thinks the rabbit holes that are the 5th floor, Expo NM, and the Governor's Office haven't been carefully connected by that other 5th floor Jay?

Much of the disparity in mishandling of shooting incidents is caused by cop/gang/snitch relationships, and is a dark secret. Burque has one of the highest gang concentrations per capita, which could not exist without police cooperation. Cut this chain or get strangled by it.

No, the question is what does this administration want. The mayor CAO and city attorney talk out the sides of their faces and lie their asses off.,

Does the San Jose, CA police department send their knuckle draggers to APD for training? I just read that a woman was shot and killed for having a battery-operated drill in her hand that the Neanderthals had decided was an UZI.

@10:38
People want a consistent policy of deadly force. Cops shoot the mentally handicapped, shoot people holding ashtrays, shoot people holding a 3 inch pocket knife, but they fail to take action when an individual threatens them and the citizens they are sworn to protect with a high powered rifle? I agree, APD is ass backwards! Or just asses..........

Anonymous said...

A very, VERY high percentage of APD personnel are living proof that Darwin was right.

@8:15---Spoken like a true, knuckle dragging, dirty APD cop. If you know so much about Supreme Court Rulings, explain the situation that was referred to....DUHHHHHHHHHH! I saw a term on another post that I really like..."Keyboard Kop".

@2:09---Spoken like a true, whining, I want everything free and my way, progressive shit for brains. Keep watching the Simpsons to further your limited education and worth to this world.

@5:54...It seems that if anyone does not agree with you they must be a progressive shit for brains. One doesn't have to be a progressive to want the APD cleaned up. Only those that are dirty in APD could possibly resent that position. It's time for the good, clean cops to step up and take back a once proud department; however, I fear there are no more good clean cops left to step up.

4:34,
Why don't you grow a set of balls. Just because you can find new ways to justify being a coward, does not mean it is right. Law enforcement has become the playground of pussies due to pathetic mentalities such as your's and the fact that they hire candidates like you who can't fight their way out if a wet paper bag. you are a keyboard cop. Now go put your gel in your hair and install those beauty rings on your car so you can look pretty because we all know that is about as far as it goes with clowns like you.
