THE EYE ON ALBUQUERQUE ENDORSES TIM KELLER FOR MAYOR OF ALBUQUERQUE

Nothing here at the Eye fires us up more than seeing the bullying of those doing the right thing, while the wrong are the ones covered for, and allowed to get away with their behavior. When we see men and women out there doing the right thing every day, getting bullied by an administration that is considered a criminal enterprise, citizens terrorized, robbed, beaten stabbed in the neck, while protecting their small businesses… Children raped, murdered, dismembered, and eaten by pure evil predators… a corporate, back scratching moneymaker, forced on people, who didn't want it, by an incompetent mayor… a malfeasant ex police chief, who inked a greased deal with Taser, that got the city roped into another 4 million dollar deal… a conglomeration of good old boys, that do people dirty in the name of greed, and money, but do not even have the guts to own their actions, and are so dishonorable they act in ways that deny their own friends, and blame others for their actions when caught. Citizens, and employees who's lives were destroyed in countless ways… and nothing ever done about it… But we will, and we have, and we will continue to do so.

As we heard Tim Keller was considering a run for mayor of Albuquerque, we thought from the minute of hearing it, that he may be a great mayor, and he may be the man for the job. We based this on his track record in State Senate, his educational background, his performance as state auditor, his lack of any connection to those responsible for our city's condition, his work on public corruption, his integrity, and his word as a man.

During Tims campaign, he has not made any outlandish promises in order to get votes. He has remained genuine, and has honor. He faces issues head on, and handles criticism with class. Tim is a family man raising his small children in our city, and that carries a lot of weight with us. This turned our “may be” into a “will be” a great Mayor. We know Tim will do the right thing, and work hard to repair the damage done, and it will be done in the light of day.

We looked at all candidates, and Tim stood out. Our support was obvious, but we realized that it was support, and not an endorsement. Today, the Eye on Albuquerque would like to announce our endorsement of Tim Keller for Mayor of Albuquerque, and wish him our best.

We are looking forward to being able to speak great things about the next administration, and facilitate positive change, as Albuquerque moves forward. We welcome the genuine, honorable effort this man represents, and look forward to seeing the good things that can be done with benevolent, honorable, transparent, leadership, done in the name of what is right. Tim said words like “owned” and “fairness,” words this administration never said and probably do not know the meaning of, and it speaks volumes.

We would also like to make it known that it was us who decided to support, and endorse Tim Keller. Nobody from Keller's campaign reached out to us. Anyone that knows the Eye, knows we are beholden to nobody. This was a matter of doing the right thing, and endorsing this candidate is the right thing.

Let's make this place better for everyone.

Good luck in the home stretch to Tim, and his hard working supporters. We will see you at the finish line.

Sincerely,
The Eye

Interesting that the Eye and the APOA announce the same endorsement on the same day.

@5:11 why don’t you just come out and say what it is you are thinking?

"Interesting that the Eye and the APOA announce the same endorsement on the same day." Can you spell "COLLUSION". LMAOF!

How come Colon doesn’t speak in his ads?? Oh right, cause he’s stupid.

Well if the Eye was a newspaper or public office it may matter but it's just a blog. Funny how you get all butthurt. I'm betting you will see a few others endorse Keller tomorrow. Will you say that is collusion? Look up the definition of collusion. Does not look like anyone was deceived here. Not everyone can get their way like this administration and the Robles Law Firm has. Something tells me there is going to be a lot more of the not getting of ways, and maybe some retribution over what has taken place over the last few years. Maybe a few people should not have fucked with a few other people. Maybe a few people should think about relocating to a non extraditing locale or place where they can't be found. There are some people who probably have something to really worry about. Maybe all of the criminal collusion these people are guilty of that ruined people's lives is the collusion you and a few others should be packing moving trucks, buying water, guns, and ammo and hiring paid security for. Shits about to get real.

Well, nothing ever gets better for us. The only way Keller will make a dent is to rid everyone from LT and up and put new thinking in those positions. We have to get rid of good ol boy people it has helped killed this dept that we all once loved. The dept can manange with acting Commanders easily and a sound Chief who can pick his team Anyone stays from this administration and were doomed. If that happends we will never start to heal and be something.

When will we learn? Guess APD enjoys being sodomized daily. Don't endorse ANYONE................................

I hope Keller is up to this horrific job. Amazon wrote Albuquerque off the list for its new location. And gave mayor Berry a slap in his stupid face by saying crime here was a major reason they bailed. Amazon made it clear that the stupidity of APD's assertion that a serial killer was not involved in the West Mesa murders case as one reason. Well good luck to Mr. Keller is all I can say. Honestly, when it comes to Albuquerque I have no hope it can be fixed by anything less than a bulldozer.

TO Sept.21 2:18 I will answer your questions because unlike you I don't hide behind anonymous. Tim Keller has not promised me anything although it would be my honor to serve if ever asked. Mr. Keller did contact me and other law enforcement both active and retired to get our input on how to fix A.P.D. and the crime problem Our City is facing. It was a pleasure to serve a person who actually listen and was sincere about the problem. No I have not been asked to serve on any Chief Selection Board and I am not promoting anyone for Chief. Hell if I were promoting anyone it would be me , at least the Officers would know they have a Chief that respects them and would have their back and not give in to politics or media. You see when things go right, praise the Officers involved. When things go wrong own it , it is the leaders fault. That is leadership. I don't know who you are but let me ask you some questions. Have you ever been in the military ? I have. Have you ever served in law enforcement ? I have, over 30 years. Have you ever walked down that alley at midnight with the boogeyman waiting at the other end intent on killing you ? I have. I even ran for Mayor so I could prevent this mess we are in. I lost, no excuses, but at least I had the courage to run. What have you ever done to serve ? Have you ever stood up for anything ? I suggest you go back to your safe space with your teddy bear , eat your peanut butter sandwich . I am far from perfect , but my life speaks for itself.

Eye,
It warms my cockles to watch all of the crying over you guys and the APOA backing Keller. I am betting most of it is coming from the complete asshole who went to the APOA with some bullshit that Keller had a family member killed by APD and the chief told him Keller was a bad choice. He got laughed at. They are crying like babies about campaign contributions of a couple hundred dollars and people they don't like who contributed, but the fact of the matter is that Keller is not running a campaign with a motive of fucking a whole city, so a few millionaires can make 8 BILLION DOLLARS. Keller is not having his people put up a different PAC for every election and every different candidate by the same people with the same treasurer who changes her name each time to spread what has been proven to be a lie. Keller also is not friends with people in his same party namely Maestas who is in bed with the other parties people and ideas in order to help out corporations while our city gets destroyed by crime and they attack a fellow party member along side the same republicans like Berry and Sanchez who have ruined the place. You guys connected Moe and Vanessa to this and that is where colon's campaign takes a shit. That is where the crossover is. Anyone attacking Keller is supporting a fucking development that will throw the city into a worse downward spiral when there is nobody to buy those shithouses because crime is even worse, there are no jobs and more people have left. The people supporting the Santolina candidates like Colon do not give a shit because they are loaded and will have already been paid. If they are not supporting crooks, they are supporting others who will hook them up.
It will be nice after Oct 3 too because it will be good to see Dinelli with his passive aggressive agenda motivated fraud being perpetrated on the internet have no more ground to stand on when his pipe dream comes to an end. Advising people to vote for a kid when the above shit is going on is pure self serving bitch shit and saying you are not endorsing anyone is chickenshit because you are just looking out for your own interests.

Anonymous said...

If you read the Eyes reason for endorsement and are making up reasons to attack it you are just an asshole who is butt hurt because you are not getting your way or are part of the problem. Those are good reasons and I am voting for Keller. The idiots arguing here and trying to twist it so as to conflict what this blog says make the blogs point. You are here crying and arguing trying to call out this blog but the main fact you are doing it is because this blog carries weight. It carries weight because if it's credibility and how the truth is backed up with evidence. It's funny how Donna Taylor pulled down her linked in page. They all hide when caught.

BRIAN COLON YOU ARE COMPLICIT WITH THOSE DISGUSTING ATTACKS ON TIM KELLER AND YOUR SILENCE IN FAILING TO STAND UP FOR AND DEFEND A RESPECTED FELLOW DEMOCRATIC PUBLIC OFFICE HOLDER IS PROOF OF IT.

BRIAN COLON YOU HAVE NO SHAME AND YOUR CAREER, AS little AS IT WAS, AS A POLITICIAN IS OVER.

More than likely there will be a runoff and I too will vote for Keller

“Unfortunately, we found Tim Keller lacking. Keller acted as if he had already won the mayoral election. His arrogance as a political opportunist was disturbing. He appeared only interested in his political career. ”

Now this is some funny stuff. Garrett must’ve had Colon in his head when he wrote this because this perfectly describes Colon. I remember my first day of law school when we all had to introduce ourselves and Brian stands up and announces that he’ll be the future governor of New Mexico. Brian should go back to med school because the shit that speed out of his mouth is more appropriate for his name as a doctor than the legal profession. Call it Colonics.

“Lewis says his administration would develop a “scorecard” for local judges so voters can gauge their decisions on releasing or holding violent repeat offenders awaiting trial. He says such a scorecard could help voters decide which judges to retain. That idea alone might be worth voting for Lewis”

This is the dumbest idea ever and this rag of a paper couldn’t be more obvious. Besides given their history of being a pile of suckasses to Susana and RJ, she the fuck cares what they say!!!!

Again, The APD union would back anyone who promises them a raise. But what happens if and when the budget doesn't support it. Will they still support him. Will they say " we don't care if we get a raise we just want to be supported and protect the people" I don't thing so. The union pres is an idiot and there needs to be more to supporting a candidate than the promise of a higher pension. If I remember correctly, Berry promised a stronger police department too. If change happens it going to have to come with an actual Union pres with some tact and knowledge. You have to have a guy representing you that does more than eat 5 lunches a day and complain.

Anonymous said...

Bet EVERY candidate would promise a raise just to get the votes then once in office. Pull a Berry and say no raises. But bring in a bunch of worthless over paid assholes. No money for raises but he finds it for his buddies

Is the eye going to attack, degrade and intimate police officer Andrew jaramillo for calling bullshit on the union endorsement of Keller in the journal letter to the editor? You clowns at the eye need to understand this is a democracy and people can vote for and support anyone they want and do so despite your thuggery. Now many people are wondering how your going to slander and libel the guy.

Why would you look to put someone in the limelight like that? It's like you are looking to stir shit. If you want to stir shit, you should be made to lick the spoon. It should be shoved into your mouth so you can taste it. Jaramillo matters as much as the ring around a toilet bowl. Since you brought him up... isn't he suing the city for not being promoted because he had an in custody death of a prisoner? And isn't Colon's firm representing him in that? And isn't his wife the daughter of someone very tight with colon? You stupid motherfuckers really should stfu because every time you open your self serving mouths you show your agenda or the agendas of those whom are expecting to be taken care of and given shit if their boy gets in.

Anonymous said...

Good for Andrew Jaramillo. I don’t agree with him but at least he steps up and puts his name on it.

Anonymous said...

Andrew Jaramillo must have been promised a "Special Slot" just for him if his boy Colon wins. Like Mayor's Security. All I want for Christmas is Mark Shepherd GONE. Waste of air and skin.

Anonymous said...

Why is everyone banging on Andrew everyone has had special favors with this good ol boy system and Schultz. Sullivan, Mason, Freezframe, Garcia, Dodi, McCabe, TJ, Shepherd, list goes on and on. Schultz and that thinking = DOJ. I certainly hope Lt and above are all fired they are part of the reasons DOJ is here. I remember when Paul was brining turkey neck coffee every morning hoping to get the DC spot and he did.

Anonymous said...

““I voted for Tim Keller because he posted a very detailed plan that ties in the police, the District Attorney’s Office and the courts. If all those things aren’t working together, nothing will change.”

Yeah baby!!!

Anonymous said...

I would have pissed or even worse in Schultz' coffee. But now that Colon didn't win Jaramillo will be forced to work like the rest of us.

Anonymous said...

I remember both times that Berry won for Mayor and it was a fucking landslide. He hired Schultz and everyone thought Schultz was gonna save the world then the evidence scandal came. Turns out Schultz was allowing his DC to shop in the warehouse prior to vacations and hunting trips, tearing open evidence bags, taking the items and throwing the bags on the floor. No character. Only a few people probably less than 5 know the entire store and Schultz was behind it all covering for his bros trying to find an escape goat for his corruption. It took awhile cost some 34s their careers for the feds to sweep away the dirty piece of shit that Schultz turned out to be. 90% of 34s bought into Schultz believed all the rumors going around and guess who started the rumors Schultz did.

I hope Keller does win and changes APD attitude I think it will take longer than 4 years but I hope he does. I take my calls and go home. I have no respect for my command who are left over from Schultz years and think Schultz is the shit. If they only knew the entire truth. Schultz was a master con man and the 90% was his puppeteers and are still on the job.
