The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Funny Business

We normally don't talk about stuff like this. In fact, we've only mentioned it once that we can remember. Last time - coincidentally just about a year ago - we were just a little miffed to say the least (read it here). This time we think it's hilarious.

According to our Eyes the boys up on the 5th floor have asked Journal Reporter T.J. Wilham for a bit of a favor. They would like him to use his investigative prowess to find your ever lovable Eye. Yep, T.J. is on the case and looking for yours truly.

Why do we think it's funny this time? Well, last time they were using department personnel and resources to seek out our identity in what could only be deemed an illegal investigation of a private citizen exercising their First Amendment rights. That's a big no-no folks that can land someone in the clink. This time they're so desperate that they've called in Wilham to try to accomplish what they have thus far failed to do - get a look at The Eye.

Wilham is a reporter working for a private company. If the Journal wants to pay him to seek us out they've got every right to do so. But somehow we can't imagine T.J.'s bosses caring much about the likes of us, so this is probably more along the lines of a personal favor. Perhaps it's even a form of repayment for getting some exclusive stories out of the folks on the fifth floor.

Who knows... T.J. might even be successful in tracking us down as we lurk the halls of power and spy on the very public business that goes on down at city hall. There is one thing that's sure though - after all this time they still don't know who we are.

Don't worry - we won't let it go to our head. We talk about far too many serious things to take ourself (or is it ourselves) too seriously.

What, TJ a slueth now? Can't find his ass from a hole in the ground.
Some how this reminds me of a movie. Most definetly a comedy.
Well he has his assignment now and must report back to Ray by weeks end,the identity of the "Eye".
Even a blind squirrel will find nuts. In this case however, it's doubtful that he actually would know the difference between his hole and the one in the ground.

How much is APD paying Tj to do their dirty deeds, or is he just turning in reciepts for every fast food joint along the way, which will be many.
Watch that overtime T J, don't want anyone getting suspicious about how much money your making.

Use 48 Eye, Ron O and his union thugs put out a hit on you. A cornered desperate animal is capable of anything.

Ron:
"Sadly, I was called this morning and told that a local rag blog, known for printing ficticious stories and baseless accusations, had printed a story about how your union dues are being spent. I would never defend myself on a trash blog like that, but since there are some members who may read it, its important that I do so here.

I am asking you to stand up to these lies and asccusations. we can possibly find the source and rid ourselves of the cancer."

it's late Friday night. Just saw TJ going through the garbage at some resident's house looking for clues.
He must really want that book of free dinner tickets from the Big Wang's Chinese Buffet.
They close the doors when they see him coming. They're afraid he'll eat their dog.

Maybe the 5th Floor should go take a class on basic constitutional rights - I seem to remember a case several months ago where officers following the SOP entered a home without permission and without a warrant and the POC voiced concern about an SOP which was clearly contrary to the US Constitution and the NM Constitution.

Mayor Marty and Chief Schultz in their professional capacity are "government" - so even if they get the info - any action they take will be in their capacity as goverment!!! Hope the City's liability insurance is paid up.

Anonymous said...

TJ owes Schultz for fixing his accident!

TJ will also be a director on the Mayor's 11th floor.

Anonymous said...

Everyone be careful as Mr. TJ Wilham is burning his sources and giving them up to the 5th floor!

Anonymous said...

This sounds like the Detroit Mayor. Didn't he just get indicted for for abusing his power???

What sort of of perverted and depraved sexual favors they've offered the hack nobody "journalist" as recompense one can only imagine... A passion filled night at the luxurious hiway house on Rt 66 with the famous investigative journalist larry barker

Anonymous said...

Given all the resources APD has, isn't the idea of outsourcing an investigation to a hack reporter a bit ironic?

Given all the events of the last few weeks I think reflecting on them will offer some perspective:

1. APOA hastily presents a skewed contract that must be voted on within 36 hours.

2. APOA by-laws and rules are sidestepped to make the vote happen.

3. Protest of the contract by a sworn members of APD lead to IA investigations and character assassinations.

4. A talk show host is inundated with stacked calls by the city.

5. APOA funds are poorly accounted for, lack transparency, and appear to be misspent.

6. The city engages a member of the press to ID the source of a blogger.

7. The APOA leadership react against the same blogger after having praised it for months.

Something bigger is at stake besides a contract dispute. What is so magic about 1,100 officers? Maybe some of the retired types that read this blog can answer that question. How much $$$ does the city receive from the DOJ? Is that money given on a proportional basis? Hmmmm.

Oh yeah, anybody see an open container citation anywhere?

TJ will not give up his sources, there are way too many. You have it all wrong, I think its TJ's bosses that have put a stop to some of his reporting. Get off the TJ slam fest and focus on the union leadership and 5th floor already. The true story is your officers were all sold out, look at Lawrence Torres, it does pay to sell out your brother and it pays well.

I can't imagine TJ ever had a real source, he was an anti-cop slug when he first came to town and was hated. He ran around trying to buy people coffee and suck up right after that but I can't believe it ever worked, no one with any real knowledge would trust that guy with his dry cleaning let alone any dirt. TJ is just being used, given limited info to hurt people that the sources want burned. Frankly "Eye", if a bunch of cops haven't figured out who you are yet it is really doubtful that TJ will unless you leave a trail of doughnuts and twinkies to your door. (THen you'll either get TJ or Davalos showing up)

As a journalist I would like to say TJ is just doing his job. Just like you officers are "Doing your job" when you beat people up and stuff. You guys get away with it so why are you being so critical of him? Are you scared that he will find out who is behind the blog and shut them down. Causing you chickens who don't leave your name to be SILENCED!?

-Signed BOB the journalist

The ABQ Journal has become such a bore that I've canceled my subscription.

TJ is just a reporter. Even if he had both sides of the story in his reporting, his editors have the final say.

It's the Journal that won't report the truth regarding the cities corupt administration. The 5th & 11th floor feed them whatever little tid-bit they can about the people that cross them. The Journal isn't going to bite the hand that feeds them.

TJ is a good investigative reporter who works for the Journal. His hands are tied and yes he has prostituted himself to the 5th & 11th for stories. But he has a chain of command like us and he works for the Journal.

We should just boycott the Journal & spend our money on the National Enquirer, it would make for better reading.

Anonymous said...

oh well...That's what happens when you try and speak for everybody (HAHAHAHAH) "NOT".

Anonymous said...

A few posts up is right. We need to focus on our corrupt 5th floor and corrupt Union!

Anonymous said...

"as a journalist I would like to say that TJ is just dong his job" .... WHAT??? Neither you nor TJ are journalists! You, TJ and all of the other media outlet journalist/wind-bags in this back-water grease pit are nothing more than whores bought & paid for by city administration and APD brass. Gimme a break,"chain of command"!! Do you think Woodward & Bernstein had a chain of command when they exposed Watergate? Besides, if they did have a chain of command, they didn't give a f__k, because they had a duty and an obligation to the public to expose the truth.
ALL of the local journalists, both print and TV, are spinless, lame, wimpy, boring, mundane, repetitive, gaseous wind-bags!

At least the EYE does something all you other so-called journalists won't because none of you are worth a shit!!!

Anonymous said...

Can you blame the 5th floor? Finally we have a voice to speak out against the garbage they pull. Use 48 EYE. I would hate to see this end.

Anonymous said...

The EYE for mayor!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

I'd like to see the ABQJournal get gobbled up by an out of state parent company. I used to support the idea of a free and independent press but not when their this spineless. Nice headline "Police Critic", why didn't you go with something more interesting like "Thorn in Ray's Ass says, 'I'm just an old man' "

Anonymous said...

I hope they track you down, identify the Eye and all of the people that post lies about people here. The next step is to begi filing suit against all of you!! I can't wait until I see all of your names and IP Addresses in the legal section of the newspaper...Now it's your turn!

Anonymous said...

HAHA that is funny about Larry Barker and I also happen to know it's true fact he's gay. I saw him out of state with his old man toy. He'll damn sure sell his soul (what's left of it) to screw you over if it's in his or his buddies best interest. Again I know this from personal experience with that idiot.

TJ: I am The EYE.

With age comes wisdom gained from experiences - something the younger crowd lacks. A short while ago I was at a Hastings - the young man at the register was nice, but he had no idea who James Dean was or the significance of "Rebel Without a Cause."

Some of these comments show how ignorant, uneducated, and vindictive police officers can be. I'm glad I'm moving out of this town by summer's end. I would hate to have an encounter with any of u cops.

Anonymous said...

You can't sue when the stuff you all pull on the 5th floor, which is posted here is TRUE! The sad part is you know it's all 100% correct information! Your just pissed that all your employee violations and mistreatment of the APD Officers is posted for the public to see! Lets see if you sue Sgt Heh for everything he is saying, since you say it's totally false. Hahhahahahahahahahah

Start writing the Sgt a Large check!

Knock yourself out trying to find the eye! This is the information age, this still won't stop until your start treating people with the respect and dignity they deserve! It's that simple, treat the officers the way you would like to be treated!

Actually people on both sides of these issues are well served by leaving this site alone and running as usual. This is a great tool to see the feelings, beliefs and mood of city employees as well as the citizenry. THere are also strange little kernels of truth that pop up here often enough to make one think that some folks in "the know" can't keep themselves from posting here once in awhile. I, for one, try to avoid posting here just because I fear that someone will eventually "out" people who do, but I am continually amazed by the information that sneaks thru here amongst all the ranting.

Anonymous said...

I heard that it's just a matter of days before the Eye and all of us who post here are outted and identified. I was told that once that happens jobs will be at risk and law suits are sure to follow. I'm finding another blog to log into & post. You would do well to follow my lead, I'm outta here....Good luck & I'm 10-7

Right and there's no legal precedent that will cost the city significant damages, and careers, if they even try it. Once again...where's the POLICE DEPARTMENT?????

Anonymous said...

You know when someone acts as an agent for a governmental entity - they are held to the same standard as the governmental entity- in other words, the governmental entity can be held liable. The Journal should be well aware of that as their editor is a lawyer - isn't that right Kent!

Journal=Joke

Anonymous said...

T.J. Wilham probably isn't even his real name..why can't someone run that name through and see what pops up....NOTHING I'll bet..I'll check Bernco anyway....

Anonymous said...

This site will become more popular because as you media types know any press is good press....So get ready for this site to become "water cooler" conversation as you media types are so fond of saying.....The EYE is now the Brittany Spears of Albuquerque!!
Long live the EYE!!

Anonymous said...

The Eye knows about everyone and everything. Nothing gets by those clever group of cops and former cop authors. Thanks for all your enlightenment the past couple years.

Anonymous said...

"Names and IP addresses in the legal section" are U kidding? How stupid do U think we R??

Anonymous said...

Anyone who has a subscription to the Journal should be ashamed - might as well have supported the Pravda in the USSR. Please - someone provide Albuquerque with an alternative paper! I'll be the first in line to subscribe, as long as you don't revert to being a bunch of wimps like the Journal. We all love the EYE because it's the only place one can find out what's really going on in this land of corruption (NOT enchantment, unless folks are enchanted with the corruption - I'm certainly not).
