The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Survey Says!

In case you missed it, now our brilliant occupants of the 5th Floor Brain Trust have come up with a feel good way to assess performance of the hard working front line officers of APD. As the memo of Assistant Chief Huntsman show below, now whenever a person receives some good ole APD service, they might be lucky enough to get a follow up call from a APD lieutenant!

Kinda like when you buy something at Home Depot or Walgreens, after you pay for your item, you get a three foot long receipt with instructions on how you can call in and rate the performance of the store and the employee. But not to be outdone, under the leadership of super business man RJ Berry, now patrol lieutenants will be calling citizens who had encounters with patrol officers to evaluate how their service experience was.  We can hear it now:

1. Were you given water after the officer pepper sprayed you because you resisted and swung at my officer?

2. Was he polite to you when you were release from your leg shackles and booked?

3. Was the criminal complaint written well and accurate?

4. Was your seat in the patrol car comfortable?

5. You have a nice voice, would you like to continue this conversation over drinks?

Because let's admit it folks, there are lots of problems with this idea. In fact, isn't the department now just looking for issues to investigate when a citizen says they had a miserable experience because the officer was unable to help them because they had thirty calls holding? And how exactly will these random citizen calls exactly be generated.

Sorry, just when you thought things couldn't get worse, they just do and get more.....weird. Here's an idea, perhaps the 5th Floor should issue another survey amongst officers and ask them how their morale is doing and whether they feel the department is being run well....we're sure that would lead for some...interesting comments....

The command staff at APD should all be given discipline for the horrible job they are doing of running the department. They have all forgotten (if they ever knew) that community policing begins and ends with having enough trained sworn officers in patrol so that a citizen receives help promptly when they call 911. This isn't happening and the fault is with every single command staff officers from Lieutenant to Chief.

So whereas, the command staff likes to review and second guess officers and sergeants for doing their jobs, I believe it time for officers and sergeants to review the command staff for their poor performance and demand that the command staff be disciplined.

What SOP has been violated? How about the one that speaks toward running the department efficiently. That would be the place to start. Adn follow up it with the one that says you will not bring the department into disrepute, that would be the next SOP violated.

The APD command staff hates being put under a microscope and hates being held accountable for their failures. So I ask every patrolman, detective and sergeant, start posting the names, dates and offenses that your lieutenants, Commanders, Majors, Deputy Chiefs and Chief are committing. Shine the light of day on them at the EYE and I bet things will start changing, right Fernando? And Roseman, don't be taking any secret snapshots of the girls in the shower at the academy. Let's get this party started.

Will the Lieutenants have to record their "exit interviews" with the citizens? They should, as any contact with a citizen has to be recorded. Then we can have the Commanders reviewing the lieutenants review of the officers.

The stupidity of The Garden of Eden never stops.

Newsflash for Huntsman and Gordon. We know neither of your were actual 911 responders for very long. That you both liked riding a desk, or the back seat of the SWAT van for your career, but you must realize the most important function of a police department is responding to citizens calls for help.

Knowing that we have less than 890 sworn officers and less than one third of them work in area commands taking calls for service, why doesn't the command staff review exactly where and what positions our sworn officers are in. If they are not in jobs that only a sworn officer can perform, put them back in the field. Here's some units that civilians could be doing the work in.

SOP Detail
IT Unit
Inspections
Background
Horse Mounted
DUI Seizure
School Resources (let APS Police)

This is just the start. APD is full of closets for officers who are scared to do real police work.

This is wildy goofy....
Unless of course having lieutenants find people who loved their experience and documenting those will somehow make the thirty-three bad experiences the other people who got stuck with APD near them and lived to tell about it never have happened....
The thing is, if these interviews were conducted by people other than cops, and were done with every single person who interacted with APD, we'd get a much more real view. But the cops would look every inch as horrible as they are.....
The idea is half right though.
When we started using a textbook system for assessing cops, we opened up a world where the crooked ones could lie and cheat and go further in their careers than honest cops who would say, go to a Domestic violence call and find out there was nothing there nothing to it but an angry neighbor trying to get someone in trouble...and go away without an arrestee in the car....now that cops must scramble to find someone to arrest or risk being left behind, we sure do hate these dirtbag motherfuckers more every day.....
No wonder they all run so scared and shoot so often. They know how much they fuck with people, and they're pretty sure they have enemies everywhere.....

Funny how the lieutenants who will be calling are among the biggest losers in uniforms. Pervs, adulterers, civil rights violators, church freaks, and confirmed lists. And if these 10,000 protesters want to really make a difference... Go become cops and try to ask nicely for someone who is suspected of breaking the law to comply and if they don't comply give em a hug. See how long reality makes these protesters jaded. If they really want to change go to the police academy. If not shut the fuck up.

As worthless as having coffee & donuts with them. Many citizens have publicly expressed their opinions of police encounters. # apdprotest

@ 12/6 0906,

Textbook cop mentality: "We're not going to do our jobs right, so if you want it done the way it's supposed to be done, YOU do it! You don't get to voice an opinion either, unless it lines up exactly with mine!"

If the cops are so "jaded" that they can't complete their duties with respect for the community they serve, the badge they wear, and the oath they swore, they should go get another fucking job.

Seriously, how can so many officers have zero critical thinking skills and still retain their jobs?

Also, fuck Adam Casaus. That piece of shit, I hope he gets ass cancer. The Browder girl is right, he's human trash.

Fuck Jeremy Dear too. Yeah, he got screwed with what happened, but Eden needed to do something for the cameras. The public was complaining about all the shit at APD, so Eden found the most conveniently available turd, and he's making a show of throwing it out. He took notes from when Turkey Neck did the same thing with Doyle and Woolever, who fucking deserved what they got too. "See guys, now it smells less like shit in here," Eden will say.

And the public will be happy, thinking things are going to change. This is part of the reason that APD has the command staff it does, and ABQ has the police force it does.

You'll get over it.

So these documents should be public record. Will APD publish all of the responses, or just those that paint the department in the desired light? Will APD act on the suggestions? Considering the DOJ had to come in and force feed APD all of the things the people have been telling them for years, I don't think APD will do much with this waste of time and money either.

Anonymous said...

To the bitter poster @ 3:52,
It is your opinion, and you are entitled to it. I understand that. I respect someone's right to voice their opinion but I can't let pure crap go unanswered. I happen to know both Woolever and Doyle. I have spoken with them, and understand exactly why, and how their situation went down. What I do not understand is why they were fired. They stood up their actions, and from the looks of things, continue to fight this corrupt administration. What I do understand is that a lot of good honest officers who know the truth about that case, and what really happened, then what the administration did to those guys were terrified to the point that they shut down after seeing how dirty the investigation was. After the DOJ arrived, everyone who fucked those guys with the exception of Jason Peck retired really quick. Peck couldn't because he has a lot more time to go before he retires, but nobody trusts him now because it is known that he lied on those officers. These officers went hands on, where others would have shot someone. Is nothing good enough? Please outline why they deserved to lose careers that both of them spent many years in with excellent records and commendations fir treating citizens very good. If that murderer was running for my home, I would want those officers to do the exact same thing. That is one case where the truth needs to constantly be out in the open, because if it is ignored, Schultz, Levy, Peck, Korn, Buckner, White, Feist, and a bunch of others who tried to keep the DOJ from coming will be breathing a collective sigh of relief, and moving on to continue their criminal behavior. By no means is it the be all end all, but it will expose a lot, especially what the criminal element that used to run and still runs APD does to cover their tracks. I would do a little investigating with a fair and open mind before you lump everyone in together and back a criminal and liars play like Schultz.

I can see it now...

Yep. Saw the Journal today. When one goes down they will all go down. As soon as one gets popped and has nothing to lose they will get diarrhea of the mouth and before long, all of Schultz's dirty little secrets will be out and sweeping indictments will come like has happened in other cities.

I am the poster from 12/6 1552. Some people might assume that I dislike APD because of past negative experiences with them, but that's wrong. I've never been arrested, ever. I've never even gotten so much as a moving violation. As such, I've had very few encounters with police, and certainly none where they've even been rude to me.

My problem with APD stems from how they represent themselves in public, such as what's reported on the news, the anon posts from cops on this blog, and what I hear them say about people when they're out in public. Watching a group of men claiming to be APD threaten a group of women with violence at Casa Esencia because they didn't want to give them their numbers wasn't particularly endearing. Also, you cops know that people can hear you say racist, violent, ignorant shit when you're eating at Dion's or Frontier, right?

When the cops are criticized, invariably they will answer with something to the effect of, "Well, then you be a cop, and make it better." My answer to that is, "Why should I have to? Why can't you simply do your jobs with a modicum of professionalism, like the rest of the world has to?"

I served my country honorably for 8 years as part of the USMC, and a large chunk of that was spent in a real shithole known as southern Afghanistan. That was an actual dangerous job, and I had to conduct myself a very particular way, because the UCMJ has a hell of a lot more bite than anything cops have to face.

I've more than earned my right to be critical of cops and the local government. If that makes me a pussy or a coward or not a man, do keep in mind that I extended an offer on this blog some time past for another anon poster to come spend a day with me. That way, this person could see for themselves if any of that was true. The offer was declined.

Now, to 12/6 @ 2130, clearly I don't personally know Doyle and Woolever. My evidence is that Schultz served them up to the altar of public opinion. Schultz can be described with a whole string of naughty words, but I wouldn't say he was a stupid man. He didn't just pick any two officers, he picked those two as evidence he was getting rid of the "bad apples." If you can point me to a resource that has more or better information, I'm happy to take a look.

Why are the results being kept in Survey Monkey? This will be an account that costs the department more money. I have a corporate survey monkey account. I can delete everything with three clicks and it will never be recovered unlike databases on my servers.
Seems someone found a way to get around IPRA. This isn't the first time either.

On this day of Christmas Mayor Berry gave to me, a new system to learn about crime in my neighborhood. Except it isn't my neighborhood, it is only in the foothills. That is where the Mayor lives.
Foothills does not have the most crime and it does not have the most citizens and it does not have the most neighborhood associations.
Why does the Mayor's neighborhood deserve to be protected more than mine?

Anonymous said...

On the 6th day of Christmas APD gave me to me a cops for kids with less than 70 officers versus the normal 100. The kids are getting picked up then shopping then Itzs for lunch.
When i was there at APD it was breakfast, shopping, lunch, and a movie.
Time to ask why there is less money to help these kids this year.
Time to ask why 30 less cops are participating? Do the 70 include all the civilians too?

That is why all the good stuff in the past was on safecity.org when it really belonged to APD

It worked so now more and more stuff is being moved every week to fake companies and private websites. So you cant have it and there are no rules about when or if we delete it.

Where the hell was all of the Eyes so called sources on the front page Sunday Journal story about Brandenburg being investigated for bribry and intimidation of witnesses? Watch the Journal to start the drum beat that she resign, but not before a few more damaging reports and published. The Journal wants cops indicted and cupcake Kari Brandenburg has refused to indict any cop in 14 years. The feeding frenzy with the 3 TV stations will now commence. Do not be suprised if Susana Martinez and perhaps Berry and Gordon Eden call for Brandenburg to step down. There is bad blood between Kari and Susana. Lets see if Attorey Genereal elect Hector "I'm now running for Governor" Balderas has the balls to really prosecute some body and not just issue the self righteous audit reports he is known for as State Auditor.

At 8:01 its true. Kari was fucking a swat officer. Wolf was fucking a dept polygraph detective. Schultz was fucking a dept civilian.

Anonymous said...

Intimidation!!! Sounds like Sergeant Bruce W. This supervisor threatens officers and other command staff on a daily basis. He was the supervisor during the Omaree incident, and continues to receive numerous IA complaints, but the Department feels sorry for him. If they cannot control their own Sergeant do you really think anything will happen to Kari?

Anonymous said...

I bet Kari was about to release the Boyd shooting and charge Perez and Sandy. This is an attempt to blackmail a very blackmailable District Attorney by the command staff at APD.

Funny how this IPRA was released and the investigation is still on going. Funny how it is released a week before Kari was going to announce the Boyd shooting results. Funny how Eden and Berry are no where to be seen. Funny how APD didn't ask another agency to investigate (think Pat Murdoch here). Lots of funny things with this. I am sure Kari is in the wrong, but you can't help but look at APD and wonder if they are trying to intimidate her to protect their own.

Anonymous said...

Sandy's daddy is connected. They did it for daddy. Little Keithy had daddy pulling for him. They conduct a criminal investigation, then wait till the criminal investigation is over to do the internal affairs investigation? I know for a fact that they have done criminal and IA investigations at the same time for officers they wanted to burn down. They stalled so that Sandy would reach that magical retirement number and date of eligibility. They knew he would resign, and save them the aggravation because IA has a much more broader method of investigation. A lot more would have come out on this. Isn't that interesting? I have no doubt about the Brandenburg theory. I think as these individuals start to go down, they will start bringing everyone else around them down too. 2015 is going to be an interesting year with all of these investigations and cases coming down the pipeline.
What needs to be made sure of is that Sandy is not allowed to retire in good standing with APD and given a badge and retirement ID after dodging an IA interview. The last thing we want is that guy running around all over the country armed under HR 218.

Where is the investigation into Tazer and Schultz? The great and glaring disparity here is that Schultz is caught red handed illegally influencing a no bid contract from inside, while employed with the city and everyone knows it. Schultz did this years ago. The IG has had the investigation, yet this Brandenburg incident pops up out of nowhere, and it is crickets on the Schultz Tazergate scam. You are damn strait this was engineered to take the heat away from something else. Schultz is the one who needs to be held accountable here. When they crack that criminal for Tazer he will spill his guts about Kauffmans, the Journal DUI case tampering, the burn phones, the multiple email accounts, and all the other things when lied about to the feds that become felony counts on a multiple count indictment for obstruction, RICO, Racketeering and official corruption. The above poster is right. When things like this happen out of the blue, one has to stop, think and look around to see just why this happened, and what is up with the timing. This is the MO of this administration. They time things, play with the media and follow all protocol on the proper spin and manipulation of the media.

Again, people are crucified for accusations of things done at a fraction of what others are proven to have done. Schultz may have done well at collecting dirt on others, but I do not think the feds give a rats ass about what he knows, unless it's able to be used for further extortion charges against him. And if you think that sneak White is not in the wings pulling his shit you better think again.

The city is about to get ass gaped with expenditures involving the DOJ consent decree, and some asshole on the 11th floor wants to open an ice rink in the fucking desert? Are you kidding me? WHO's hair brained idea is this? I am glad that the moron who thought of this has that much freedom with tax payer's money. What will they do when the next batch of multi million dollar lawsuits hit, and there is no money?

The mayor is not worried about this because he is trying to get the civic plaza security contract turned over to private security so that he can hand it to his family member's security company like he did for the outside security at the Balloon Fiesta and the Convention center. Why is nobody investigating this?
Of course the mayor wants an ice rink there. He will make money on it. Just ask any Albuquerque city security officer.

I call bullshit on this investigation of Brandenburg. The letter to the DA is dated 11/25. Since when does Apd release material relating to an active investigation OR within the IPRA defined timeline. This is a hatchet job plan an simple. I'm no fan of Kari but this is Perry bullshit.

And APD got Heather Hindi Chavez the daughter of DA Brandenburg. She was not qualified to be an officer. Worthless, scared, and now married to a murderer. Mommy more than likely used her position (doggie style) to get Heather on APD. Now we can only hope that the allegations are true.

Anonymous said...

here is what I find humorous. APD cops are worrying about their little Payton Place soap operas and have yet to notice that nationwide the citizens are fed up with the way police operate.

it is hitting critical mass NYPD cops and their family's are now being targeted for just being cops and in the past year cops have been just openly gunned down just by being in uniform.

I would strongly suggest to all LEO's now is the time to take some personal inventory and ether make some changes in attitudes or make some plans for your estates. The us vs them mentality is going to get you hurt or killed. Now the citizens are developing the same us vs them mentality and the pot is at a boil.

Remember APD , it is not the administration out on the streets shooting/beating unarmed citizens............and it is not the administration that is going to suffer the consequences.

WHY CAN'T ANY OF THESE LIARS DIRECTLY ANSWER A SIMPLE QUESTION?

Jeff Proctor asks Brandenburg if she called the victim to persuade him from pressing charges, and she responds that she did not break the law? That is an opinion, not an answer to the question asked. This shit is getting old. Why can't these politicians own their shit?

Good job asking the tough questions Jeff but I think everyone that watched that load of shit will be getting the snow job by the bubbly tough love cutsie bullshit they were fed.

Why is anyone surprised by anything anymore? Hey Eye, flip the tables. Make a post challenging people to name who they think is clean so we can respond with the truth.
I know Kari has pulled this shit for at least 10 years. The difference is this Chief let a cop do something about it. Sure he did it because of some bullshit game but who cares.
If everyone started turning on everyone with charges and indictments we might actually start to clean up this town

Pat Murdoch, Chris Garcia, now Brandeburg, can APD figure out how to do an investigation and make the charges stick?

I used to kind of feel a sense of envy when I was reading all the postings about those who were supposedly fucking Trish Hoffman. At least I could identify with anyone who wanted to. But Kari B? You would have to be visually impaired and more lonely than I've ever been in my entire life to even be thinking about doing that. I could imagine her in one of those old "Donkey" movies from Juarez.

No APD cannot make the charges stick because Murdoch, Garcia and now Brandenburg were all setup. They took the fall for not doing exactly what APD wanted.
