On October 3rd, Albuquerque mayoral candidate Tim Keller took the top seat, moving forward to the runoff with a very large gap over Dan Lewis. Keller is going forward with almost 40% of the vote.
We will not deny that other candidates worked very hard. Politics is a thing that we here at the Eye do not really care for, because it involves hypocrisy at times. People that want things, do some pretty pathetic things to get their way, at times. We see and hear a lot about this. We here at the Eye remain consistent, because of our disdain for wearing many faces, and we really only like to use one tool to fix things; a hammer.
In the spirit of looking out for what is best for our city, we endorsed Tim Keller For mayor, and found early on that he was the man for the job. Many unions like the Fire Fighters, APOA, and most others endorsed Keller also.
After the October 3rd voting, Dan Lewis gave interviews to KKOB 770, and the below quote was taken from the NM Political Report written by Andy Lyman on October 13th. He also decided to attack Keller, calling him a radical.
Lewis told NM Political Report he was glad to see the board’s decision limiting Keller’s in-kind contributions. “This is why voters hate politicians,” Lewis said. “They think they can operate under different rules.”

We find Dan Lewis’s stance on anything concerning this city, and what needs to be done absolute hypocrisy, and with him claiming to be a man of the cloth, his attitude, and actions are even worse. You can not have your cake and eat it too. Some other people who write blogs to hear themselves pontificate believe that Lewis needs to read their self proclaimed “Mandatory Reading,” but we believe he needs to read more of his GOOD BOOK. It is obvious that he missed the below verses… OR it is just Dan that operates under different or maybe his own set of rules. Whichever, the arrogance is reminiscent of this administration...

While the Keller campaign has been working hard with a positive attitude to do the right thing, everyone else including Lewis has been making shit up to get themselves ahead. This is another tactic long used by the current administration, and we have had enough of it.
If you think for a minute that anything will change or get better with Dan Lewis, you are foolish. Lewis has been part of the problem the last 8 years. He is just another Berry. He is a Berry 2.0 and just another politician looking to take care of himself and profit from those he hooks up. This is about fixing the damage that was done and Keller will do the right thing where that is concerned.

Tell Dan Lewis to take the Tyler's with him when he loses. Jeccica Tyler and her husband showed up at our church to latch onto Lewis's nuts so they can keep their jobs at APD. It was so obvious and disgusting, but desperate losers will do anything when they have burned all of their bridges by doing so many people dirty.
The APD upper command are all talking shit on eachother to get ahead with the next mayor. They are all picking candidates and telling them dirt on other supervisors to save their asses now. This is hilarious. The above post is why I responded, because that could have only come from the IA commander because he was running his mouth about that the other day in mixed company.

Let's all make sure Lewis doesn't win. Volunteer to take your neighbors that may not be able to drive themselves. The more we can do to get Keller on the 11th floor the better this City will be. Perry has to move out of the city because he knows he will no longer be protected once the new Mayor comes in. And cops will be staking out his favorite drinking spots just to nail him for DWI. I would really hope that there isn't still anyone on the department that would try and do a Ben Kirby and take Perry from a Bat Mobile like he did for Jason Daskalos. Berry, Perry, Shepherd, Espinosa, Tixier, both Tyler's and the entire 5th floor need to go. Start packing your shit and hit the road.

Aaron Jones was charged with felonies for poaching and Jeremy was his commander in SID. Jones and the VP of the APOA both are BFFs with Sanchez and are pushing to have the next administration to have him promoted to commander. The VP of the APOA was the officer who shot that unarmed kid and was covered for when the judge called him dishonest. Jones was allowed to plea his poaching felonies down to misdemeanors. Schultz protected him and hid him away until his suspension was over then he promoted him to Sargent. These are a few of the bad apples who were protected, and they are all positioning themselves and jockeying for promotions with the next administration. They are using Willoughby and the VP Montgomery to do so. The next mayor needs to avoid these thugs like the plague, or it's Schultz and gang behavior all over again.
Saw that Colon is now going to endorse Keller. Wonder what Colon will want in return for some votes? Hope Keller isn't to quick to agree with Colon on anything. Colon is a snake and only wants what is best for himself and his Law Firm.

There is no need for a Public Safety Director. That is just another over paid asshole that shows up for TV time and a paycheck. Keller needs to make sure he gets rid of the entire 5th floor and chop the Major position off at the knees. And pretty sure Colon is bending Keller's ear as to who he thinks would be a good Chief. Colon should have no say is anything considering his involvement with those who attacked Keller. He had to endorse Keller to save his political ass after the Santolina suicide.
