The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Eye Told You: Harris Recall Goes Forward

We hate to tell you we told you so... (Ok, so we really don't) but here goes. The district 9 recall folks over at recallharris.org announced "We Win!" about an hour ago. The Albuquerque Journal (Subscription) is confirming the ruling by Judge William Lang earlier this afternoon that the recall will go forward in October. Councilor Harris will be the first city councilor to face recall in nearly 20 years and if this week's Eye Poll is any indication, he's in trouble.

Umm...I guess there's not much else to say other than HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Whew...that was exhausting. Way to go, guys!

Hasta la Vista, Harris!

Please continue to monitor our website at www.recallharris.org for our updates.

Let us all continue to fight the good fight until Councilor Harris packs his bags and vacates his Council Office.

District 7 next?

It warms my heart!! Just wish the recall had worked on Sally Mayer. Another do-nothing councillor. Maybe the next go around people will wake up and vote her OUT and vote someone in who actually cares about the district more than the Almighty Mayor.

Are you all planning on targeting the mayor for recall next?

Anonymous said...

Targeting the Mayor? What a moron you must be. He made history by being the 1st Mayor to ever be reelected. Three terms, last election was a landslide, his poll numbers are through the roof....Good luck

LMAO...his poll numbers are through the roof???

Do your research before you say such stupid things. His poll numbers suck. A genuine, organized recall effort against Chavez could very easily succeed.

Nice try though Marty. Keep telling yourself how well you're doing, and keep that attitude up when 2008 rolls around. You and your cronies have fleeced this city long enough, and whether you want to admit it to yourself or not, voters HAVE taken notice. You're a wife beater, a drunk, and a crook. You're ass will be voted out so fast in 2008 you're head's gonna spin.

Harris needs to Go!!! He must have sent a new speed record in selling out. City contracters wanting taxpayers' handouts are the only ones supporting him now!

You people are upset because Harris is not the rubber stamp you had in Tina Cummins. He ain't perfect, but he is trying to listen and do whats best for the majority, not just your sweet tails. Seems to me, the squeaky wheels get the grease, but unfortunately for you, the wheel will be greased by the King of Albuquerque, Marty Chavez, and then you will wish you had learned a bit more about Don and stopped your selfish whining and game playing. I really wish you people would just learn to help out, rather than kick out, run for office yourselves and be a part of the solution. Talk about money issues. The part time job has some perks and 200 dollars every two weeks income. I am so sorry you all just don't get how hard this job is, listening and learning and growing within a community, and trying to earn the trust of everyone. Ms. Lorber knows the sting of rejection and it would serve the SE community of FH better, if your group would find some other reason to gather than recall Harris. Should he be recalled, all I can say is he tried his best and really wanted to good for the cause. Its okay with me if he should have to go back to his previous life and leave the council. But he will fight this rash of lies and deceit, and will come out the better man. I am very proud that he is my councilor. Its a crappy part time job with full time headaches. Too bad he thought he could make a difference with you r types out there. He's trying. Please, if you run, I will support your run, then harass you over your own issues. You are not the only neighborhood in District 9. Good luck getting rid of Mr. Harris. A good man could be lost to the likes of Marty Chavez and 'the REAR Admiral' (what does that have to do with ANY OF THIS?--)...or does bending over just constitute your ability to 'take it like a man'?

Oh, yes, Don Harris is trying to help us all, give me a freakin break. He in his infinite wisdom is going to "slum" all of the Central Corridor. Oops, I forgot, he isn't going to slum the part of Central where big money has lined his pockets. All you have to do is go the the City Website and find the MRA map of Central Ave. Then look at Harris' contributors and wham, bam, you will find that the newly developed areas, where Harris has his sweet deal, is not slummed, but all the other areas are slummed. What is up with that?

Are those the other perks you were writing about in your above post? Sweet deals that screw the general public, but line the Councilor's pocket?

Also, I find it interesting that the previous blogger, can only talk in random and vague generalities, about what Harris is trying to do for us all. What is up with that?

You can't hide the truth and the truth is that Harris and all his buddies on the City Council SUCK from the public trough and they all need to go.
