An i, an e, two lls, an a... So far we've seen no less than three spellings of the current APOA President's last name on the web, in print, and in The Almighty Alcalde's propaganda emails. The first spelling was of course ours - "Segalla."As a result, we were feeling all kinds of bad last night for misspelling the APOA top cop's name. Since then, we've received a third spelling of "Sigala" - this one from the Mayor for Life's own campaign site (view it here while it lasts).
Then there's the Albuquerque Journal whose reporters got the name as "Sagala" (view it here - subscription).
Then there's the Mayor's propaganda email that spells it like the Journal - "Sagala."
All of this leaves us wondering... How the Hell DO you spell President Joey's last name?! One would think that Mr. Segalla, Sagala, Sigala would know how to spell his name, yet he does so two different ways in two different missives that come straight from the Chavez campaign. One would also think that the Journal's reporters who were interviewing Mr. Sigala, Segalla, Sagala, would have gotten the name right. So... until we find out for sure how President Joey's name is spelled, we're going to spell it any damn way we want to. Perhaps "H-A-C-K" would work best.

Maybe Marty will disband his protection detail since officers can't congregate downtown. Show of force? Anyone? I forgot, Marty can't brought down to the same level of the simpletons he rules over. And for everyone proclaiming Marty gave APD the two biggest raises, look beyond the hype. The first was large, but less than what he proclaims. The second was to bring APD in line with other departments in the region.

Its funny how a firefighter will call a 5'2" female 34 for help, and still call themselves "Albuquerque's Bravest." They are a F*#@*!* joke!!
AFD needs to start taking their own calls. Its a big problem when someone is having a heart problem or anyother medical problem and officers have to secure the scene before they can enter. If you guys are that scared just stay watching the TV or keep playing basket ball or what ever ball you play with. You are not needed at all, you guys don't even park down the street once we say the scene is secure then you guys decide to come out of you quarters what a f***** joke you all are.

Anyone not happy with the current union representation has the option to run or at minimum attend meetings to change it. Democracy only works when people make the choice to participate.It is easy to point the finger at someone else, make fun of their name--so have the courage to step up and help other individuals who share your profession. Show some loyalty to your badge and to the honorable career you have chosen.
