The Ahrensfield/Olivas story has been all over the place today. First it was a burned FBI drug investigation. Then it was an investigation into the APOA. Now, it's back to being an investigation of a used car dealer who's moonlighting as a drug dealer.
Before we go forward, all of the information we received came from solid sources that we have used many times in the past. This time around things were complicated by the fact that The 5th Floor was engaging in a misinformation campaign. But like a lot of things lately, they screwed it up.
According to our Eyes, the APOA story was a red herring thrown out to keep the spotlight off of an SID officer (Olivas) burning an FBI investigation. However, SID inadvertently leaked the correct story to the department and apparently were chewed out this morning for their lapse.
What really bugs us is that we've unintentionally aided their subterfuge by spreading misinformation. We're not crazy about it but there it is.
All of our sources now agree that the original story above was accurate and that the burned investigation targeted a used auto and drug dealer. Brad Ahrensfield received information about the investigation from Ron Olivas in SID. Ahrensfield then notified a relative who worked at the dealership who passed the information on to the owner.
These are serious allegations and we want to make sure that all of our readers understand that they are just that - allegations. No one has been convicted of anything. In fact, no one has even been officially accused.
That being said... Our Eyes tell us that the 5th Floor is in disarray. It's so bad that even they can't keep their stories straight. We'll keep our Eyes on this and let you know if there are any further developments.

The FBI will find out who leaked the information to the media. The FBI would want to find out if it was the two Officers involved and would probably realize that it was most likely not the two officers involved. The FBI will see if APD and APOA does need to be investigated because to prepare for their complaint would do so. Did the FBI file the complaint with Internal Affairs against the two officers?

Chief Schultz was warned to take action at SID. He knew that Commander Hudson was incompetent, but since it was his friend and that of DC McCabe, he let it continue even after he was told he had a big problem out in SID with management!
Ron Olivas, isn't Karma a bitch. You have screwed over so many officers and now it's your turn. Enjoy your cell. You're so stupid, how could you do such a dumb think, even for you it's stupid. We always knew APD made a mistake sending you to intel, especially since you have no intelligence.

APD was promised more Officers by Marty Farty, but in reality... each APD Officer had to work additional overtime hours, more going to court instead of on the street, more court cases even on their Birthdays having to go to court to testify!
While Marty Farty went to Paris, China, Florida etc..... APD Officers were spending their time at the gym trying to keep fit while Marty Farty gorged himself on sweet treats in Paris! Does Farty Marty then say something like "Let them eat cake?" Yes! Marty Farty's attitude toward APD says that!

Thank God there was not a distasteful montage of photos too. Pete Denali would have a cow. Now he only has to worry about APD officers tipping off drug dealers, no big deal.
Another reason for an APOA split, is that Marty Farty centers his attention on his dog which is great to be a Dog Owner and encourage pet ownership...,but what about vision for APD and more search and rescue dogs trained? Or how about the drug sniffing K-9
dogs? Really, the focus should be on APD canines! Does the public realize that APD K-9's help the APD Officer? Yes!
It's time to clean out all the chicken coops. No more after retirement cush jobs either.
How many DCs are collecting retirement and a paycheck for doing nothing? Nobody wants them in the public sector.

I read Jeremy's blog and found that Reporters being treated in that manner like it was basically the Mayor and Schultz dragging their feet on giving a Reporter the facts to why Two APD Police Officers were recently put on administrative leave is because of the upcoming election and the impact on voters.
I'm fairly certain that, "It's Just lunch," and the Mayor's connection to "It's Just Lunch," is somehow involved in why the 2 APD Officers were recently put on administrative leave. lol!
Its a sad day when all the baby cries in the department reading this blog hammer two of our own. Brad and Ron have always been solid cops. Brad has been an assett to APD. Ron got caught up in trying to stand in the gap when we had no APOA president. Now he gets a black eye for all the garbage with the APOA. They probably both made bad decisions but they are not bad people. I would trust them both with my family. I hope and pray in the end it works out for my two brothers.
To the APOA/Marty crowd who keep posting: the hard working officers are tired of being crapped on from above. Marty needs to go. Ray needs to go. Joey needs to go. You guys act like big-time mafiosos, except you are just small-time. Most drug dealers have more integrity than you. Being upfront would have saved this election, but Marty, get a haircut and get a real job. Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, goooodBYE! IF they compromised a drug investigation, (which must have involved undercover cops, they they compromised the lives of the undercovers. IF that is true, they no longer bleed blue, fire Brad and Olivas!
