You know that Martin Heinrich is the incumbent Democrat Congressman from Congressional District 1. You know that no other D has stepped up to run against him in the Democrat primary. What you don't know is that Martin Heinrich - the only Democrat candidate for CD1 - didn't get all of the votes.
Our Eyes tell us that Robert Aragon, former Democrat ward chairman organized a group of 37 delegates at the D's Buffalo Thunder state convention to cast their vote for Republican Jon Barela. The group of 37 renegade D's placed stickers over the name of Martin Heinrich when casting their vote for the Democrat nominee.
We're sure that Barela's performance at the Democrat State Pre-Primary Convention wasn't announced to the faithful Ds gathered or to the media for that matter. And we're quite sure that Monahan won't be talking about it. But as recently as 2 years ago, it would have been impossible to even contemplate a single delegate vote for an R at a D convention much less 37.
The winds they are a changin' whether or not you read it in the news.

In just two years the sweep will go the other way. Even the suckiest people who ran,won on the coattails of Obama. So if your an unknown or the worst, either party has to offer, now's your chance.

I need to vent about the take home car program!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday at 4:30 pm (Marh 13, 2010) there was a traffic accident. Two cars that were south on Eubank and turning east on Menaul were involved. The drivers of both vehicle were standing outside their cars and trying to direct traffic around the accident. An Albuquerque Police department sergeant's vehicle was north on Eubank and stopped at the light. When the light turned green the driver of one of the accident vehicles stepped into the street and frantically tried to flagged the passing APD off duty (she was in civilian clothes)down for assistance. The off duty officer (a blond female) nearly ran over the accident victim tying to avoid helping the motorist. The APD sergeant then drove off not stopping and not rendering aid!!!
CAN ANYONE REMIND ME AGAIN HY WE ARE PAYING FOR TAKE HOME CARS FOR POLICE OFFICER?????
Is this the same Democrat state convention where David Campbell worked as a delegate for Lt. Guv wannabe Lawrence Rael?

The take home vehicles save the city money. If this was not the case they would have been taken away years ago.

Some folks still leave cookies and milk for Santa. Just because it is thought that money is being saved by officers taking their cars home, that doesn't make it so. The idea here is to intimidate the public by their presence. Some feel safer. A lot of us see something else!
Only the guilty feel intimidated.
Again people, Darren is finished RUNNING for office. Since he cannot in the future RAISE MONEY, he can only be APPOINTED. With that said, here's a lesson for all of you. The next time he endorses someone, run the other way, vote for the other person, no matter

He has no political capital left. He has burned his bridges with his financial supported base. This boy has cried wolf too many times; it's over. He's taken advantage of a political novice, but hasn't fooled Campbell. This flash in the pan is fizzy out and getting real stale. Empty suit.

A perk is still a perk .... a quota is still a quota ..... and a police state is still a police state ..... most of us are not intimidated by your presence, still your secret is well known ... the pay is good .... most of us are not guilty, or have ever been convicted of any crimes .... to be clear, we are not the criminals you think we are .... we are just average citizens who mind our own business most of the time .... we do just fine without having to call on you as if you were our mother ..... It would be great if integrity was still important to all who wear the uniform and are employed by the citizens of this community .... but then, I would be wishing for the impossible and asking too much!

WELL SAID! I SECOND YOU! WHILE THE TYPICAL APD OFFICER THINKS ONLY THE GUILTY NEED BE CONCERNED - NOT TRUE. APD IS RANKS ARE FILLED WITH UNPROFESSIONAL GOONS.
If there is any creadence to the above comments, one can only look at those at the top. Rank and file will follow examples set by leadership.
Obviously Berry doesn't see this a he knows nothing of what's been happening over the last 8 years at the city. Very naive to appoint the likes of Campbell, Darren & Ray.
