The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. County Ripped Off under former Sheriff Darren White

Something doesn’t pass the smell test here in Bernalillo County. When it comes right down to it; it stinks! Under the watchful eye of then Sheriff Darren White it appears that the County was ripped off by TruTouch. In a recent Journal article, the NMDOT paid $13,000.00 for each TruTouch machine it purchased. Then Sheriff White paid an astronomical $126,000.00 per machine that stayed on the shelf and were never used. This means that BCSO paid ten times more than what the machines were worth. If you include the development of the machines the County paid twenty-eight times more than DOT.

TruTouch had partnered with the Bernalillo Sheriff’s Department with the cooperation of then Sheriff White in the development of the devices. The total cost of the development and the County purchase of three machines was $1,100,000.00. If you look at the total cost from start to finish, the County via State and Federal funding paid $366,666.00 for each machine by proxy. What a deal, the New Mexico Department of Transportation only paid $13,000.00 for a similar model. It should be noted that the Sheriff’s Department bought model 1800BC and DOT purchased the 1100 model. The President and CEO of TruTouch, Mr. Richard Gill, “did not respond to questions about the difference between those machines.” One of our Eyes suggested that the difference is that DOT’s machines are black and white (model #1100) and BCSO’s machines are blue and white (model 1800BC). This case is so obvious that we had to throw some Eye humor in.

Here is another oddity, the machines purchased by NMDOT all worked fine. DOT reported that one machine was not working properly but the other five purchased are working fine and are in full service. Meanwhile, Current Sheriff Houston has three, $366,666.00 paperweights that are useless thanks to the failure of then Sheriff Darren White who failed to follow through and ensure the tax payer was getting their money’s worth. Sheriff Houston has formally requested that the New Mexico Attorney General Office investigate. TruTouch denies any wrong doing and claims that the problem lied with the Sheriff’s Department.

The Eye On Albuquerque would like to thank the Albuquerque Journal and staff reporter Jeff Proctor for actually reported on a true news story. Be careful Jeff, stories about the truth like this will make the Berry Administration, “Berry upset.”

Sheriff Houston stay the cours. Don't let white off the hook. We elected you to protect us from criminals. Looks like you landed a huge one.

The question is posed as such; What's the difference in DOT's machines and BCSO you ask. I'll tell you. Who at DOT was running for election at the time of purchase.
NO ONE !

Who at BCSO was running for elected office at time of purchase.
DARREN WHITE.
In other words, the $3,500 in campaign contribution that Darren received from TruTouch, was paid back to them by as much as 10 times. For every dollar that a candidate receives, it cost you the taxpayer 10 fold. That's theft on a grand scale. A big bucks gang bang. (Then again,'Gang bangs' parties were common practice for Darren in back in his DWI days.)
Did Heather Wilson, who secured part of the funding for this scam know what was going on?
Bottom line this is the 'good ole boy' system, one that needs to end. One that should require reimbursement retroactively, or serve time in jail.
YOU'RE CORRUPT DARREN, PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

Not really sure about trutouch...but seems they are getting the short end of the stick on this one. They just recently merged with another company, so I doubt they are selling faulty equipment. Regardless, if Darren White knew these machines didn't work, then he should have had the sense to return them; even if they didn't return his calls. What a lame flippin excuse. I feel sorry for anyone who gets involved with him. Everything is always someone else's fault and not his. Sounds like someone was absent from first grade whenever they taught the responsible for your own actions lesson.

Hey Darren, I've got an idea for a new crime-fighting tool. You think you can get the city to pay for my R&D? Five mill should do it and you can keep the prototype.
You know I'll take care of you, girls, drugs, vacations; whatever you want. A nod’s as good as a wink…say no more.

Darren never accepts responsibility. It's never , ever his fault. He will lie at every turn and has gotten away with it till now. Nobody is playing along anymore as they're sick and tired of getting burned. As for you Berry, you haven't known Darren as long as the rest of us. You were still making cheer leaders when we knew him. You sir are so naive it's pathetic. But keep up the adoration and worship of this golden calf; soon you will realize he's nothing more than a Trojan Horse you let inside the City gates. You asked for his endorsement and now you will pay dearly for it.

As an unemployed citizen, who can't find work and trying to keep by family cared for, I DEMAND TO KNOW WHERE THE $113,000.00 EXTRA PER MACHINE WENT ! Why you would not demand Your money back if the machines did not work ! Sheriff Houston and Attorney General King we are looking to you to end this corruption. Don't try to spin this to protect anyone. Criminals must pay no matter who they are. I know what my family and thousands of other familys could do with that stolen money.

To all Police Officers: Never forget who you are. Ethics, Integrity, Respect, Honor define who you are. You are the thin Blue Line that stands between good and evil. No matter if your uniform is blue, black or tan. Hold the line and stay safe.

Beyond the campaign contributions you received from TruTouch Darren, what did you do with the kickback money? I'm thinkin' the Hummer you bought. Ohhh.... we don't to talk about that do we?
You're as underhanded as it gets.
Maybe you can right a book about your life escapades in your jail cell and Hollywood can pick up on it and make a movie about your rise and fall. Only problem is who will play your part?
Any takers out there?

Is Ray signing off on Darren's radio show transcripts now? You know, the one on 770KOB where he advertises himself as being a sheriff. Isn't impersonating an officer of the law illegal?

Sheriff; what a joke.
The prospect of Darren holding any public office is appalling. The prospect of him being appointed to anything is equally appalling.
If it weren't for being elected or appointed he'd still be driving a cab. He hasn't the skills ot fortitude to be a police officer as proven by his stint with APD and Houston PD where he had some racial discrimination issues.
He's fake, he's bogus and the sooner the Republican party realizes it the better off the community as a whole.
Speking of 'Hole', he's digging a deep one for mayor Berry.
As for both of them; the 'Peter Principle' is alive and well.

WELL WE ARE BACK TO USING E85, MY CAR RUNS LIKE SHIT AND GETS HALF THE MILES AND NO POWER. I WOULD LOVE FOR SOMEBODY, TO PLEASE SHOW ME THE SAVINGS. OH I FORGOT, THE DEPT. THAT BUYS THE CHEAP FUEL ALSO REPAIRS OUR CARS. CITY WANNABEE MECHANICS STOP STEALING MY GEAR!!!!!

This is to all you LEOs out there.
Enforcing the law and preventing crime are two different things. Everyday I hear leading LEOs profess as to what a great job they and theirs are doing in preventing crime but at the same time I also see video after video of LEO’s obviously enforcing the law in an increasingly brutal fashion.
All I can say is that if what you profess to be doing were true, preventing crime, people like Darren White would not exist and neither would large monetary court judgments against your departments.
The time has come for you to truly think about whom it is that you are serving; the people (citizens) who have placed their trust and faith in you or the people (politicians) who are demanding you enforce increasingly draconian laws at all costs.

Anonymous said...

E-85? Good question. They did away with E-5 to save money.(E-85 cost a lot more than regular unleaded) Cut down on blown fuel pumps. To get better horsepower and to get better MPG.
Add all those components and the savings to the city is huge.
SO WHY INDEED, DID THE CITY DECIDE TO GO BACK TO E-85 IN PATROL CARS?

DON'T GIVE US THE LAME BULLSHIT ENVIRONMENTAL EXCUSE EITHER. THE BEST STUDIES COMING OUT OF THE MOST LIBERAL UNIVERSITIES ARE NOW SAYING THAT E-85 IS A FARCE AND DOES NOTHING TO IMPROVE THE ENVIRONMENT , BUT RATHER LEAVES A BIGGER CARBON FOOTPRINT.

We the taxpayer demand an answer.

To the above poster apd has got so bad we don't work for citizens of alb. You work to kiss ass in hopes of getting a cush inside job where there is no accountability. You have to 'know someone' to get a position. Mayor berry if you are reading this, you have major problems that chavez handed you, but you can fix it and you haven't.

You mean the Hummer that his son drove 47 while he was on his peach retreat honeymoon? You mean the one driven through the wall into the kitchen???

Anonymous said...

The laws suits are a result of the lower hiring standards.

Anonymous said...

@Anon post 12:58PM
BS, the lawsuits are from corrupt LEOs breaking the law and honorable LEOs not blowing the whistle. If your are not part of the solution, then you are part of the problem, period. When are the good men in APD going to stand up and put and end to this?

There have been some comments that seem to have a low opinion of law enforcement and problems they see within A.P.D.. I will not attack these comments because everyone has a right to their opinion. I will say this to all law emforcement including A.P.D.. Never let what others may do define who you are. Never lose repect for yourself. Never compromise your ethics or integrity or bow to the wrongfull will of another no matter the reason. Always stand for what is right and just and don't be afraid to speak out against wrong, no matter who is doing the wrong. Remember that oath you took,it is not just words. It means something.I know many of you, and I respect each and eveyone of you that puts on that uniform each day and says good-bye to their family maybe for the last time. Your badge is honor. Hold the Blue Line.

Maybe just maybe Schultz should spend his time investigating the crime in this city such as the huge heroin problem that has taken over our schools. Or maybe just maybe solve the murders of those poor women found on the westside. No Schultz is worried about social media and has even written a policy about it. Schultz is afraid of the truth and the dirty under belly of A.P.D.. Guess what Mr. Schultz I have spoken to a civil rights attorney about your scare tactics and was told tell Schultz to bring it on. I mean you know all about civil rights. Your violation of them cost the city a million dollars. Keep up the good work EYE and FANS.

Gee, even elementary school children are held to a higher standard then this. Next time your out in Albuquerque remember that there are APD officers out there with less restraint and ethics than that of an 8 year old. And even 8 year olds, at least 99.9% of them, don't carry guns.

Anonymous said...

Poast above; Really ! focus on solving crime in the city instead of who's saying what on the internet about you. Darren and Ray don't have their EYE ON THE BALL but rather are fixated with the EYE ON ALBUQUERQUE.
Ignore what is said ABOUT you and do your jobs and go solve some crimes.
We don't pay you to sit and read comments all day, that's what we pay TJ to do.

Since Darren bought a Hummer with tax dollars, I'm thinking I will need to borrow that for a few days..with gas money too. It's only fair since I helped pay for it.

When the Tru Touch machine was tested we knew it was not going to work from the start as did the Sheriff! However, we ordered three more machines knowing full well we would never use them, In fact, when they came in, they were just put in an office with no intent to use them or train on them.

It was just a political scam for everyones political platform, all the players received money for their political races from Tru touch!!!!

The project went dead from our end and was just put in an office where it sat. When we asked, we were told just not to worry about it. No training was ever persued by the Sheriff's admin!

Is White's good buddy Jeff Landers getting the City Attorney's job? White owes him, it will be interesting, especially since the word is the County is going to give Landers the boot soon.

I hope you have contacted the AG's office.

With all the publicity surrounding Darren White and his "Breaking Bad" behavior, why is he still ALLOWED to be in a position of influence? Since when does the Pub. Safety Director get to make decisions on who is appointed or anointed City Attorney? Enough of this crap already. He needs to be put on administrative leave like anyone else when there is such a cloud of questionability, for which his own peers have concerns.
Darren's involvement with anyone's campaign from this point forward will be a death wish come election time. Hope you're listening Heather.

Where the F do you guys come up with this stuff????? I can't even begin to tell you people how far from the truth you are about everything on this blog. You point fingers at others calling them criminals! The people on this blog that keep the ball of ignorance rolling are the criminals!!! Please have FACT when spouting off, not what you have heard from a guy that's heard... You just end up looking like ignorant fools to those that know the truth and it discredits whatever grievance you may have!

Ok TJ, it's all rumor. You didn't get fired for inappropriate behavior, your didn't get another job to shut you up.
Sorry guess we got the facts wrong. if your not TJ, disprove what's been said then.
If you want facts; they're coming.

Brad has proof; court transcripts have proof, the county has proof in the tune millions of dollars that have been paid out as a result of lawsuits. What more proof is needed? So whoever posted at 10:16 a.m., there is your proof. That is what we KNOW..that is more than enough to demand this idiot out of his position.

Lets see 1016 poster your right, these awful people on this blog, accusing good upstanding folks of awful things......HA you jackass anonymous PUSSY. Darren in Brads trial, NOT AN ACCUSATION, factual trial testimony, TRUTOUCH campaign kickbacks NOT AN ACCUSATION, factual, yes this blog exposes alot of nonsense but it also exposes alot of corruption.
Just so you know and you can run to Darren, the next big rumor two guys are telling each other is Darren is being named the New Mexico Athletic commisioner, lets see if the eye is right on that one or if its more BS....if its true how corrupt can Darren make that position...BUT HEY THIS SIGHT IS NOTHING BUT RUMORS....F U DARREN,hows that for ignarance??

SURELY THAT CAN'T BE HAPPENING. WHAT WOULD POSSIBLY QUALIFY HIM FOR THAT.
THE ONLY THING HE IS QUALIFIED FOR IS A PASTRY CHEF.
BUT I GUESS WE'D HAVE TO HAVE A RUN OFF BETWEEN HIM & TJ

@Anon 10:16AM
If there were to be an honest investigation, I believe it could be shown that during the time that Darren White was BCS that he along with ranking officials of the BCFD and at least one duped Judge, covered up the criminal activity of one highly promiscuous and violent female BCS deputy. And in doing so, not only did they subject an entire APS elementary school to illegal drug use but they also may have inadvertently contributed to the death of a young man who otherwise might never have become involved with said gun toting whore.
All of the above are facts that have been reported in the media or in public court records during sworn depositions at one time or another. All one has to do is connect the dots.

Love how the people who "hate" this blog take the time to follow it and comment on the stories too. Keep up the good work EYE! It's time someone hold the administration accountable for their corrupt actions & wrong doings.

Today Gov. Susana Martinez named Darren White, among others, to the State Judicial Standards Commission.

Anonymous said...

I just saw that...Judicial Standards Commission...Darren White? I was holding on to a shred of hope for our Governor. Unbelievable!

Good-by Governor, enjoy your one term. Good-by Republican Party I resign. No more cash form this ex-Republican.

I just read the news article concerning the appointment of Darren to the Judicial Standards Commission. I immediately wrote Governor Martinez with my displeasure of her action and asking for it to be reversed.

I urge other readers to do so.

I'm especially annoyed since I voted for the governor.

Below is a Susana Martinez campaign video titled Police Stand with Susana. Darren White is standing there in a kevlar vest. This is post his position with BCSO and pre his employment with APD. So breaking out the kevlar is laughable. Was the cameraman also carrying an assault rifle? Now who is surprised at his appointment with the Guv? Not me. FYI - before you let McNally and Durgin off the hook, do your homework. They are extremely shrewd businessmen that don't take no for an answer. White is smart enough to figure out how to get a great paying job that involves no labor or baseline intelligence but too stupid to know he got worked over by professional manipulators.
