As reported to you by the Eye, there is the appearance that our local G-boys may not have been completely forth coming with information and the truth during the Brad Arensfield trial (see here). Now the local FBI wants you to trust them and report public corruption to them. Well FBI; consider this your first big case and investigate your own people who were involved in the Arensfield case. There is no difference between flat out lying and not saying. Any act or omission that involves untruthfulness is lying. The First Amendment states, “The amendment to the U.S. Constitution that guarantees freedom of religion, freedom of expression (including speech, press, assembly, association, and belief), and freedom to petition the government for a redress of grievances.” The FBI should consider this a “petition to the government for the redress of a grievance.”
As reported in the Journal (see here) “People can dial 505-889-1580. A recorded message asks them to leave their name and a brief message, and says their report will be looked at.” Really? The FBI wants you, to call, and leave your name? Really? You might as well call whoever you’re reporting and give them your information directly. From there you can call the mortuary and make arrangements for yourself.
If the local FBI wants public trust they must earn it. Any solid leader knows that respect and trust is not simply given; it must be earned. The Feds need to clean their own closet before they start digging in anyone else’s. With the Arensfield case alone there are enough skeletons to fill the Santa-Fe National Cemetery.

The Boy scout ran on cleaning things up and getting rid of the 'at will' hacks, but instead, he has relinquished control of the whole city to the most incompetent group of individuals ever. He is certainly no leader and his bid for re-election will fail big time. By then his most trusted, will turn on him, just as they did with Marty.
By then the real supporters of his last campaign will be long gone, even to the point of supporting a Democrat to defeat him.
Its a shame that someone has lost their life again in albuquerque, especially someone with a mental illness. I'm not here to talk about the individual police officers because they have a hard enough job as it is. But I'm very disappointed in the upper ranks of The Albuquerque Police Department, I would think that the would of learned from the handling of people that may have a mental illness. People should remember the incident with Officers Smith and King with John Hyde. I'm pretty sure that the police department did not change any of their SOP and learn anything from this tragic event. And now a few years later the department has their hands involved in a death of someone suffering from a mental illness. Shultz you are chief of police, fix your department and try to act like a leader. People are losing their lives or you are ruining them by retaliating against them.
I wouldn't trust any law enforcement agency. The more you read the more my opinion is reinforced. I also would put a grain of salt to any of their testimony. Trained liars all.

Some of you people are great judges of charachter. The more you read the more all cops are bad and don't trust any. As a cop, I guess the more I read about all the wonderfull citizens that are D.W.I., bank robbers, murderers or just plain ole boring criminals, it means all citizens are criminals. Glad that we can now steretype everyone by the performance of others. Now I know how to treat everyone I encounter---as a criminal. Makes my job easier.
