RAPE

Recently our Eyes told us about the problem with rape kits not being processed at A.P.D. Seems there are 1,300 rape kits; a shocking number in itself. Out of the 1,300 kits 300 have been processed and 1000 still need be processed. Here is an even bigger problem; the statute of limitations is running and on some cases it has already run. Results: it’s too late to prosecute.

So now the excuses start, we don't have enough people to do the work, some of the victims decided they did not want to go forward and we don't have the money. Let’s take these excuses one by one.

Here is a clue for you brain trusts at A.P.D. Brass, HIRE SOME PEOPLE TO GET THE WORK DONE.

Let’s be generous, if there were 100 people that decided not to go forward that still leaves 900 victims being further victimized by A.P.D.

Last but not least the lack of funds. Many of you may not know that The City is self-insured, that means all the tens of millions of dollars in lawsuit settlements come right from your pocket and city services are cut to compensate for the loses.

Now we are sure at The Eye, if it was a politician’s family member or relative the rape kit would be processed before the end of the day. But who cares we are sure the victims are nobody's just like the rest of us. We all remember the brave young mother, Millisa Torrez, who watched as David Hernandez snatched her little girl off the street. Mrs. Torrez chased Hernandez in her vehicle crashing her vehicle into his to save her daughter.  What happens next, charges are dropped by the District Attorney Office and A.P.D. STARTED POINTING FINGERS AT ONE ANOTHER.  Here is the end result; Mrs. Hernandez and her daughter become victimized by the system.  The shame of it all is Mrs. Torrez and her daughters are nobody's right? What do you think would have happened if a politician’s daughter would have been snatched off the street? You see, the politicians want us to forget and go away; after all we are nobody's.

Here is a suggestion for the Brain Trusts in charge in the City.  Give up half your fat salary and get the job done. We know you have plenty of cash; we, know you Mayor just purchased a home in Red River.  How many of you nobody's can have two homes. How many of us don't even have one? WE MUST NEVER FORGET THE NOBODY’S! For it is the NOBODY’S that pay the bills for the City, County and the State.

Albuquerque's Independent Review Office has Another Problem

Since 2000, Bill "Trey" Flynt has been an investigator with the city of Albuquerque's Independent Review Office. The IRO is the primary office which receives and processes complaints against APD officers. Upon receipt of the complaint (known as a CPC), either the IRO handles the investigation of the complaint or it is assigned to personnel in APD's Internal Affairs unit.

Any officer who has been the target of a CPC, or a witness, or a supervisor has undoubtedly come in contact with Mr. Flynt. Mr. Flynt's reputation as promoting himself as the most knowledgeable IRO employee and the most experienced of IRO investigator's precedes himself. Now it seems Mr. Flynt has let his overconfidence get the best of him.

As recently reported, Mr. Flynt was caught selling counterfeit NFL jerseys. But not only was he caught unlawfully doing this thanks to his self-promoting ads on Craigslist.com as a direct supplier where purchasers can "bypass middlemen" but he apparently did this on City time and on City property. You see Mr. Flynt sold to an undercover news crew! Given that as of this posting the city's transparency site states that Mr. Flynt earns $25.40/hr and has year-to-date earnings of $46,736.00 we wonder what time he spent "investigating" was actually in furtherence of his on-line retail activities? Given Mr. Flynt committed these crimes while at work, it seems his timesheets should be subject to scrutiny to see if we taxpayers paid hiim while he was working outside the scope of his official duties!

Making matters worse, our Eyes have alerted us that Mr. Flynt's activities were widely known on the APD's 5th floor where he frequently gave jerseys of the favorite teams of department leaders and other personnel. Given it seems that it was widespread knowledge that Mr. Flynt was up to no good, why did Chief Schultz and former IRO Deaton permit this activity to continue? What did they know and when did they know it?

Lastly, because Mr. Flynt's activities involved interstate commerce, it seems only natural federal law enforcement agencies should be involved. Our Eyes tells us that exactly is the case in that property and computer in possession by Mr. Flynt have been seized and are being analyzed....Where is Tera Neda when you need her?  Of course Ms. Neda has no family ties to the phony NFL supplier, right?
 

Wouldn't it be ironic if after all the endless incidents of misconduct and crimes by the leaders of APD, that what ultimately brings them down is their own greed for NFL jerseys....?

It should be noted, APD's PIO. Rob Gibbs. said that Trey may not have committed a crime because the buyer "should know" they aren't getting what they're paying for. So in his simpleton logic, because a victim believes they may be victimized, the offender has no longer committed a criminal offense.

 

Schultz Abuses “Penguin”

Our eyes behind the scenes are telling us about an abusive Schultz. Apparently, Mayor Berry’s chief, Ray-Monster Schultz, received word that one of his APD Senior Sergeants, Patricio Apodaca (AKA; Penguin or Penguino) had posted a comment on his Facebook page. This comment was not distasteful, vulgar, or inappropriate; it was a rumor he heard playing golf with some of the brass nut boys from APD. Now, you ask yourself, what kind of rumor would force Mayor Berry’s chief to abuse an innocent penguin?

Penguino (SSGT. Apodaca) stated in his post, “Some interesting conversations today while playing some golf. 5th floor apparently knows who runs Eye On Albuquerque and isnt really concerned by it. Apparently, not as anonymous as you think. People have a right to voice their opinions, sad that they hide in the shadows to do it. Being lazy here with attack yorkies that are ready to pounce and kill. This has been a Penguino Inc update.” When the Eye was able to look up the comment we put we “liked” it. We here at the Eye found it very humorous that the joke was on them. Apparently this angered Berry’s chief and the chief’s three Stooges.

Our Eyes tell us that poor little Penguino was placed in-front of the boys and was severely admonished and told in so many words if he wanted to keep his job, he better keep his beak closed! Adhering to the threats of termination, SSgt. Apodaca posted on Facebook, “Well I will no longer be posting anything on here about work. Apparently it is the wrong thing to do. Because here at ...... we care. This has been a Penguino Inc update.” Our Eyes also tell us SSgt. Apodaca was accused of “knowing” who we were. Your wrong again Schultz. Then again, we are sure that you are used to hearing that you’re wrong all the time… Remember brass nuts, you’re really not concerned who run the Eye On Albuquerque?

We here at the Eye are sorry about Mr. Penguino’s abused but we find humor and concern in the actions of APD’s top brass nuts. Berry’s chief, Ray Schultz, is worried about a one line clean sentence on a Facebook page and brings down hell on a helpless little Penguino but could give a lesser dam about 26 police involved shootings, the West Mesa murders, or out of control gangs and drug wars. Could you imagine how many murders, rapes, and other crimes could be solved if these idiots would put forth the same effort into solving crimes and stop worrying about a Facebook post? Schultz needs to stop the “teacher teacher he’s looking at me routine” and try to get back to being a chief of one of America’s largest police forces. Is there something seriously wrong with this insecure man? Or is it just us?

Schultz can go home now and do what all evil people do; sharpen his claws, sulk, and plan his next demonic deed. How pathetic…

Schultz Slapped By Dead Man

Yes folks you read it correctly. Schultz received a slap from deceased Senior Officer Walck, a retiree who served the City of Albuquerque for thirty-eight years. According to the family, Schultz laid the final blow, which lead to Senior Officer Walck’s passing, by attempting to have his police certification revoked. The NMLEA Board Director, Bill Hubbard, determined APD’s attempt to have Walck’s certification revoked was unwarranted.

It was determined by NMLEA Director, Bill Hubbard, that Walck did not deserve any action from the NMLEA Board. In a letter addressed to APD Lieutenant, Mike Miller, Director Bill Hubbard stated, “After reviewing the documents and meeting with Mr. Walck’s attorney we determined that the case of Mr. Walck did not rise to the level to proceed any further on his police certification.”

This only proves that even a dead man can make Schultz look like a fool.

One of the Eye’s readers inquired by stating, “What does this horrible little man (Schultz) think when he looks into the mirror?” The Eye has an answer, people who commit heinous acts against another human being cannot honestly look at themselves in the mirror without the haunts of the horrors they have inflected upon others.

APD through their leadership have hit a new low; how despicable.

Breen Grabs a Fire-Shovel and Buries Himself

Our Eyes are telling us that on Friday, July 22, 2011, AFD Chief Breen repeatedly told his employees that he was "with" them, but he said he would be fired if he stood up to the Mayor. Breen blamed everything on the Mayor. Breen stated, he doesn't agree with what the Berry Administration has been doing to the Union but he isn't ready to retire. Breen also stated he wants to repair “labor relations” in the Fire Department. Why didn't Breen want to repair labor relations during the past year and a half? Breen acted paranoid about any recordings of the meeting. The media was circling like sharks with blood in the water, begging fire personnel to give any hint as to what was said in the closed door meetings.

Our Eyes tell us two hours after Breen’s meeting with AFD personnel, he was called to the Mayor's office and was told that he was a “liability.” The local Union 244 has yet to conduct their planned vote of “No Confidence” on Breen. Our Eyes tell us that Berry is in a huff over Breen conducting the closed door meeting with only AFD personnel. It appears Berry and Perry are paranoid themselves over what Chief Breen is saying behind closed doors. Is Berry getting ready to cut Breen loose? Or is Breen going to be one of the sacrificial lambs?

Breen might just find himself in familiar company with Darren White and possibly APD’s Fifth Floor. All who may be back in the job market…
