TV Debates....

Over the last three televised mayoral debates, we've heard some strange stories and outrageous fiction come out of incumbent Berry's mouth.

"I ask you give Maria and I another term as mayor of Albuquerque"
 

"I have not received contributions from corporations or individuals doing business with the city"
 

"We've added over 7,200 jobs in the last twelve months"
 

"Unemployment is below 8 percent"
 

As the pictures herein reveal, there is little about RJ Berry that is real or authentic. Just like his assertions. Proud to have served with the person who single handily brought DOJ in, the largest black eye to smear our city.
 

The direction of our city is down. Berry loves to draw verbiage from Moody's but even their report puts us at 298th in job growth, below Nome, Alaska.

Berry loves to quote how auto thefts are down but omits the increases in property crime, violent crime, homicide, rape, theft, and burglaries. He won't even answer simple questions about his position or abortion or ObamaCare. His officers are suing him for breach of contract and workplace condition violation. His senior officers are suing him in a class action discrimination lawsuit. He thinks not of the citizens, but only of him and his wife (note to spouse, NM is a community property state, if he loses and you kick him out the door, he gets half....).

His silly fact checks are written by an out of town adoptee who is a staunch but failed Romney supporter who, can't make this up, uses the Albuquerque Journal as her reference source. In the last twelve months the federal Bureau of Labor Statistics shows we've actually lost jobs with a total of 373,682 in October 2012, and 369,855 for July 2013--net loss of 3,827 jobs.
 

In terms of his contributions, Berry has received blood money from persons named and unnamed in the murder or prominent civil right lawyer Mary Han as the image shows. And lets not forget the thousands of dollars donated to Berry by Deborah Peacock--Nate Korn's wife and co-owner of city vendor Kaufman's West.
 

And lastly, as reported the true rate of unemployment in the city of Albuquerque is just above 14%.
 

But don't take our words for it. Feel free to consider these statements as they are offered by a candidate sweating bullets in a mere debate. One who had so much make up caked on his face he started gagging from its fumes. A candidate who, our Eyes tell us, goes to forums with an armed police escort. A candidate, who with close to $800,000 in contributions, apparently needs to raise more out of fear that maybe, just maybe, his 60+% rate is actually not genuine.
 

Folks, watch the debates and measure the candidates for yourself. If assertions are made that can't be backed up with facts or hard data, is this really somebody we want running our city? 

Remember, Enron was presented as being solid to its shareholders, all while top executives were pulling the ripcord on their platinum parachutes....

 

 

 

Suppression of Democracy

The Albuquerque media refuses to report to following list of strange incidents and criminal offenses that have befallen both Paul Heh's and Pete Dinelli's campaigns.

1.  Approximately the first half of March: APD Deputy Chief Banks personally called a female campaign worker of Paul Heh’s campaign. Mr. Banks spoke directly with the woman, a private citizen and NOT an employee of the city, and told her he needed to send an APD officer to take her personal computer to look for data relating to Mr. Heh’s campaign activity.

2.  Approximately the first week of May, City of Albuquerque Internal Review Office investigator Paul Skotchdopole and an unidentified person went to a Paul Heh campaign member's home wearing APD identification. They entered her home representing themselves as APD officers and made no actions to disavow themselves as non-law enforcement. Initially stating they were there in follow up to a citizen’s complaint, once inside the residence they quickly began asking about Paul Heh and his bid for mayor. They asked who was running the Heh campaign; they asked her if she had made the campaign’s bumper sticker, they also asked who ran the Eye On Albuquerque. This visit scared this Paul Heh campaign member severely enough that she stopped working for the campaign. In an unpublished interview with Jeff Proctor of the Albuquerque Journal, she stated she felt intimidated and frightened by these two men. And given that she and her family had moved into the residence days before she said that she did not know how they knew where she lived. This person has now moved to another home due to the fear that was instilled upon her. (Mr.  Skotchdopole; we know all about the ticket you got downtown and had the City "administratively" dismiss it.)

3. Approximately the first week of May, a female Paul Heh campaign member had Direct TV installed in her new home. A couple of days after Direct TV installed the dish, a man claiming to be a Direct TV employee knocked on her door and said he needed to get on her roof to take pictures of her dish. She was uncomfortable with this man and called Direct TV. Direct TV told her the man was not a Direct TV employee and to confront him and call the police. She heard the man on her roof while she was on the phone with Direct TV. By the time she went outside to confront the man he had gotten into his truck and left. There has been an APD report filed on this incident. This incident and police report number has been given to every Albuquerque media outlet.

4.  Approximately mid-May: A long time Albuquerque attorney joined the core team of one of the two campaign’s running against Mayor Berry. Less than a week after his first meeting with the core group of the campaign at his office, this attorney’s home was broken into and vandalized. Nothing of value was stolen despite the presence of many portable electronic devices and other valuables. A report has been filed with APD about this incident. At this time, this attorney does not feel safe about letting this incident become public knowledge, as he is concerned about the safety of his family, his person and his practice. This attorney has reported this incident and the rest of the incidents detailed here to the Albuquerque FBI.

5.  Approximately mid-May: Another Paul Heh campaign member became aware that his residence had been trespassed upon. He was aware of the incidents at the female campaign member's home and the campaign attorney’s home. Concerned about the security of his own home, he took what measures he could to determine if his home was approached. This campaign member lives in a gated high-end community with controlled access and no through traffic. The entire back yard of this home is walled and is landscaped with finely packed gravel and is similar to a “Zen” style rock garden. This individual came home and found a side gate left open and found obvious footprints where someone had jumped the front portion of the wall on the North side of the home leaving a trail in the fine gravel from the wall to the house. This campaign worker did follow through and talked to the utility companies, neighbors and the home owners association; who all stated they had not entered his property. A report was filed with APD about this incident.
6. Late May: Shortly after the Heh campaign member discovered that someone had trespassed on his property a member of Pete Dinelli’s campaign received a call from someone claiming to be from Comcast. This caller stated that there was a problem with the cable service at the Dinelli campaign member's home and that Comcast needed access to the home. The Dinelli campaign member was immediately suspicious, as there was nothing wrong with his cable service and he was aware of the aforementioned incidents. He denied the person claiming to be calling from Comcast access to his home. The number that was used claiming to be from Comcast was reverse traced and while it came back as a Comcast number, Comcast corporate personnel confirmed that 505-271-3722 is not a Comcast number and has been “retired.” Calls placed to this number to a voicemail box which has a woman’s voice saying her name is Cindy Solonamis (sp?).

The Dinelli campaign member filed a report about this incident with BCSO Deputy Brian Felmee #13-640109. Again, the entire Albuquerque media has this information and refuses to investigate and report on it!

7. During the same time line as the incidents listed above: A private Albuquerque business owner, who helped the Heh campaign get signatures to get on the ballot, was harassed multiple times by the City of Albuquerque. This private businessman, his wife, and many of his tenants signed Paul Heh’s petition. This gentleman owns several multi-unit apartment complexes in the Southeast part of town. He is the on-site maintenance man for these properties. These properties are immaculate in condition, have many multi-year tenants and this businessman is able to secure much higher than average rents because of the care and condition of his units. Over the last six-months there have been zero police related calls for service from his 20-units despite being located in a very high crime area. On about May 3, this property owner found notices posted on all the doors of his units but no other adjacent units. The notices solicited information about complaints they may have about their landlord. The property owner contacted the number provided on the flyers which led to the city’s Office of Community Development. He spoke with a manager of the department who then came out to meet with him the following week. This person, Thea Guerin, told the property owner that his apartments and the immediate area were going to be the target of activity meant to improve the area. As the property owner's apartments are superior to neighboring apartments in terms of condition and care the owner asked Guerin to elaborate. She told him she doesn’t want the apartments to become “like the ones on Ross.” Guerin then advised him that they want to have a “neighborhood get together.” On Wednesday, June 5, after posting flyers about an ice cream get together, Guerin, an assistant, 3 uniformed APD officers, an APD detective, a person from city solid waste, Laura Keougn from the SE area command and an assistant, personnel from the NM Landlord-Tenant Hotline arrived to give out ice cream sandwiches. The property owner remained on scene but did not take any sandwiches. Two tenants arrived and took some ice cream despite the event being held from 3:30-5:30pm. While city personnel hung out, Guerin and lawyers from NM Landlord/Tenant hotline canvassed the property owner's apartments soliciting information from tenants about him as a landlord and whether they had any complaints and provided them with information about other housing opportunities. The following day several tenants approached the property owner and asked him why he was in trouble because they thought he was a great property manager. Documents and notices from the city sent to the property owner are available.

8. June 6th, 2013: A Pete Dinelli’s Campaign Manager's car was brutally vandalized. It is our understanding that his windshield was smashed and again nothing was stolen from his vehicle. The campaign manager filed a report with APD, # T 13002147.

9. In the first week of July: The woman who was harassed by the Paul Skotchdopole and had been called by DCOP Allen Banks had her home computer hacked into then print 40 pages of key strokes.

10. Also in the first week of July: Another member of the Paul Heh campaign had his home burglarized. The residence had the front door kicked in with additional vandalism done inside the property. However, despite the presence of portable electronics and other valuable items, nothing was stolen. A police report was also filed on this felony.

That makes 7 separate people who are in or closely associated with the Paul Heh and Pete Dinelli campaigns who have been harassed or had violent crimes committed against them, 10 separate times! All of these crimes have been directly reported to law enforcement and the Albuquerque media. The incidents have also been directly and repeatedly reported to the Albuquerque media. 

The Albuquerque media refuses to investigate or report on any of this. It is the strong opinion of both the Paul Heh and Pete Dinelli campaigns that the main stream Albuquerque refuses to report on these incidents because they fear retaliation from the GOP, the Berry Administration and Jay McCleskey's political machine. If any of these things had happened to members of the Berry Campaign they would have been reported on the same day, let alone this long sting of incidents! 
 
With such a spike in targeting it is only clear that these actions are committed either by, or people directly supporting, the Berry campaign. Is there no greater un-American action than the commission of crimes meant to intimidate the very process of the democratic process?
 
One final note. While many of the members of the two challenging campaigns have been targeted for harassment and criminal activity there is one very glaring exception: Personnel who are helping the campaign who were prior law enforcement have not so much even been touched….

Sham and more...

The leaders of Albuquerque seem to be living in upside down land. Not only in how they spend our money, but in how they address challenges on the street…

Faced with spending about $10,000 or more than $500,000, the Albuquerque City Council openly revealed how they could care less about citizen tax dollars. A citizen initiated ordinance which would change the “viability” date of late term abortions from 24 weeks to 20 weeks, is prepared to go to the voters. But instead doing what they have the power to do and include the measure on October’s city ballot, city councilor’s are instead desiring to have a special election for the matter. At issue are to matters: 1) Can the city council approve an election resolution and 2) can city clerk Amy Baily certify the 12,000 or so signatures of the approximately 28,000 turned into her by September?

Costs for a special election are anticipated to run between $500,000-700,000. But why spend $10,000 when you can spend over half-million?! Instead of moving forward with the necessary resolution and offering to supplement Amy Bailey’s staff to certify the necessary signatures by hiring people, the members of Albuquerque’s city council want to bilk tax payers for the cost of the special election. While they had no problem approving a “consulting fee” of $10,000/per month for recently departed chief of police Ray Schultz, city councilors can’t seem to assign a few people for $20/per hour to help count signatures.

But this kind of upside down thinking shouldn’t surprise us. Even though the current mayor, RJ Berry is supposed to be a “businessman” (we thought that meant making and saving money not wasting it…) under his administration, APD has shrunk and not grown. At latest report there are approximately 853 sworn officers. And his approach to dealing with crime in the city is also the inverse of what needs to be done. Instead of dealing with it, he hides from it then says it doesn’t exist.
Under Berry, gang violence has increased and now there are midday shootouts where recent gang violence spilled up to 70 bullets into the streets in gun fight last Sunday afternoon (READ IT HERE). This didn’t happen in some remote section of the “International District” or some destitute area of the South Valley, but in the busy intersection of Menaul NW/4^th NW. But because of officer scarcity no dayshift officers responded to the call nor swingshift officers. Only an off-duty sergeant who was headed into work but whose shift wasn’t to start for another half hour.

When asked about this mess and the lack of officers, newly pressed APD Chief Allen Banks openly stated to City Councilor Ken Sanchez that APD’s Gang Unit has not been disbanded but merely “dispersed.” (By the way, even KRQE anticipated gang violence weeks ago (READ IT HERE) and we at the Eye called it months ago).

The Berry Administration will not tell you to be cautious but we here at the Eye call it like it is; we will tell you to use extreme caution!

Like STD’s the legacy of disgraced former Nefarious Public Safety Director Darren White continues to give. Just recently the city settled a high profile case where he encouraged aggressive action on citizens back in 2010. In the fabled “4^th Street Mall” case, we got to see how litigation rich targets, also known as Leah Kelly and Jennifer Jara, pushed their badge around on citizens not violating any crime (READ IT HERE). And this is the second case in this incident that the city settled with the total tab running to about $100,000.

The conduct of officer in this incident is really beyond comprehension. We’ll let you see this for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5I9RhVaW72E.But hey, when the Nefarious Public Safety Director Darren White says the gloves are off, he means it (See the Memo below)!

This is the same Leah Kelly who would be involved in a shooting a few months later which has yet to fully litigated. Will the city settle this one also or will they take it to court and risk another $10 Million? Given the target of the shooting was found to have not committed any crimes and Kelly has, well, an endless discipline and complaint history we expect there to be a lot of fireworks in this mess. We'd like to see the lawyers involved in this matter grill White as to what personal liability does he have Kelly's actions against her victim/target. By failing to discipline Kelly and Jara for their behavior on the 4th Street Mall did he encourage and incite such aggressive behavior? If not for White's inaction to appropriately discipline Kelly and Jara did they not feel they were untouchable and fully empowered to go on their own shooting rampage?

The point is folks, just when we thought things couldn’t get worse, well they are. Then there is the matter of some discriminatory practices involving what is known as “The Kirk” that we at the Eye have uncovered.  We’ll leave that for next week though…..

RJ Berry, Rob Perry and AFD Chief Breen are Killing AFD Firefighters

Does the title shock you? It shouldn’t, and you shouldn’t be surprised by the inept Berry’s administration. And yes, you read it correctly.  The Albuquerque Fire Department is poisoning nearly every AFD firefighter on a daily basis with highly toxic and poisonous carcinogens.  AFD Chief Breen is fully aware of this outrageous and dangerous situation as are RJ Berry and Rob Perry and evidently none of them care or are concerned.

What is shocking is firefighters have already died and others are dying at this very moment as a result of this inexcusable and disgusting safety violation.  The Berry administration knows about the violations and continues to allow it to occur. 

There are multiple national safety regulations that require fire stations to have extraction systems to remove the highly toxic and carcinogenic diesel fumes emitted by firefighting apparatuses from the environment that firefighters work and live in. Extraction systems redirect the exhaust fumes which are highly toxic outside where they will not poison the firefighters inside the station.  Ninety percent of these mandated extraction systems in all AFD stations are non-functioning and have been non-functioning during the entire Berry administration.  Top level personnel such as Rob Perry and Chief Breen have also been made aware of the situation but have refused to take any action to correct the problem.

Chief Breen’s administration is acutely aware of this intolerable situation and has failed to have AFD’s extraction systems repaired or even maintained. AFD currently has a firefighter suffering from a serious and potentially fatal health conditions which are directly attributed to the non-functioning extractor systems.  These same firefighters have repeatedly filed “exposer reports” to the AFD’s administration to no avail.

In this story you will see pictures of the non-functional extraction systems currently in the Albuquerque Fire Department stations. These systems have been in this non-functional state for the ENTIRE RJ Berry Administration, while Breen has been chief. We keep stressing this because Berry and Breen have known about this problem and have done nothing to address the problem or fix it. This situation is so egregious that new AFD units are not equipped with a magnetic puck.  The cost of a puck is around ten-dollars.  The pucks are required for the extraction hoses to connect to the units. The pictures are hard facts and proof of this assertion. 

Berry and Breen are no better than the Syrian government.  Knowingly and willing, “gassing” the firefighters on a daily basis with known toxic carcinogens, amounts to crimes against humanity. This is what Hitler did to the Jewish population. Yet, neither Berry nor Breen care.  

The toxic pollution from the AFD trucks enters the living and sleeping quarters of our firefighters. At Station #6, the exhaust from one of AFD trucks literally enters directly through the door of the firefighters’ bunk room. That is where the firefighters sleep.  Below you will see pictures of an AFD station that is not equipped with an extraction system at all.  Question is who wrote the extraction system out of the budget? At least the other stations have a non-functioning one. 

We here at the Eye can provide an unlimited amount of Albuquerque Firefighters who will provide testimonials as to the truth of all assertions made in this story.  What is shameful is everything stated in this story is common knowledge at AFD.  RJ Berry and Chief Breen have proven that they do not care about the men and women; the same men and women who risk their lives every day to serve the citizens of Albuquerque. 

This is not an argument about salaries or benefits; this is about our public servants becoming ill and going home to their families because of the negligence of RJ Berry and Chief Breen. Their refusal to adhere to mandated safety standards is literally killing Albuquerque Firefighters.

Here is what is truly disheartening; this Thursday, September 5, 2013, public safety (police and fire) are jointly holding a Mayoral forum. Mayoral Candidates, Paul Heh and Pete Dinelli have agreed to participate; Mayor Berry has refused.  What does this tell you about the current mayor?  We here at the Eye On Albuquerque completely agree with Mr. Heh: Mayor Berry, we call “Bullshit” on you! This is absolutely unacceptable and is appalling.  Berry should be in handcuffs; he is ultimately responsible for this entire disaster.

The APOA has decided not to endorse any mayoral candidate which we find pusillanimous.  The good part of this is the APOA is supporting the IAFF Local 244 and participating.  Fortunately, 244 had the esprit de corps to be united and the camaraderie to step up to the plate and take action.

We hope some of our true city leaders step up to the plate and champion for our firefighter personnel.  The entire city council should be 100% behind fixing this heinous violation against our firefighters. If there is any person on the council who opposes correcting this problem immediately; they should be admonished and resign! Sorry Brad Winter, Trudy Jones, Janice Arnold-Jones, Don Harris, Roxanna Meyers and Dan Lewis; you will not be able to hold your party lines loyalty to your chosen God; Republican Berry.

This is unequivocal proof Berry is anti-public safety.  Berry’s lack of action on such an important issue strongly suggests he is anti-American. Berry could care less about the citizens, let alone, our firefighters who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the rest of us citizens; each and every day. 

Berry; Slip, Slide and Away

Mayor Berry announced several months ago that he intended on hiring a firm from outside New Mexico to conduct a “national search” for a new chief of police.  Ray Schultz was forced out of the police department. First the national search and now Berry has placed Deputy Chief Allen Banks in as the “Interim Chief of Police.” Berry is setting the stage for re-election but the problem is; no one is falling for his lies.

Mayor Berry immediately set upon, after Ray Schultz’s announcement of being given the boot, that he would have a “national search” conducted by an out-of-state firm. The cost is estimated to be around 35k to 50k.  Why would a mayor send 50k out-of-state when we have people here who need work and a job? Helping out a friend somewhere? You are sitting there saying to yourself; “Why is the Eye On Albuquerque saying such a mean thing like this?”

Here is the answer, Berry is lying and we see through his lies.  You see, Mr. Perry told the neighborhood association presidents that a California firm was already hired to find a new chief…Oddly enough, guess where Berry was at before he was mayor? You guessed it; he was in California with his construction company (really nice of Berry to give jobs and business to the folks in California).  The question is why? Here is the rest of the puzzle.

Berry promoted two new deputy chiefs at APD. With these two slots filled and the national search locates a new chief of police; where will Allen Banks go? He will no longer be interim chief; his former position as a deputy chief has now been filled; Where-Oh-Where is Mr. Banks going to go?  Here are the answer folks; Berry wants to “lock-in” the black and other minority vote.  This is all a political move.  The proof is replacing Banks’ former position.  What makes this news even more discerning neither Roseman or Garcia has a stellar record. Both have been plagued with problems throughout their careers. These are just a few more of Ray Ray’s boys.

 

Meanwhile, Berry gave one of his friends in California thousands of dollars to do a search that is frivolous because Berry wanted Banks there to help his political career. Banks is the fruit of the poisonous tree; RAYMOND DANIEL SCHULTZ. Schultz and anyone he mentored or part of his administration must be cut away like a cancerous tumor. Both Eric Garcia and William Roseman are part of that cancerous tumor. That is the cold hard facts.

Could it be that Banks has been promised some other big dollar position in exchange for his help since his prior position has been filled? Banks should know, “When you agree to dance with the devil; you’re going to owe your soul.”

In the end Berry as with any snake will simply be forced to slip, slide and away…Maybe Berry, Perry and Schultz can share an assisted living apartment?

Berry is looking to get Jammed

According to the Berry administration; Berry has nothing to worry about. Berry doesn't have to show up for any debates, speak in public or respond to citizens' concerns.  Berry thinks he going to win because he has money and with that money you, the voters are for sale.

Albuquerque can’t Bank on Banks

Yesterday Mayor Berry announced the departure of Ray Schultz. Berry also stated Allen Banks will be the interim chief. Yes, this is the same Deputy Chief Banks whom Attorney (Democratic Party Chairman) Sam Bregmen caught lying. No ethics or values just like Berry; this does make him a perfect pick for now.

Berry stated Schultz’s last day will be August 3, 2013. Ironically, Schultz will not be gone.  Schultz will “stay” on as a consultant till September.  Now how much is it going to cost the tax payers to keep Schultz on as a consultant? The best description is that of Mayoral Candidate Paul Heh who stated, “Schultz is like a piece of gum on the hot asphalt and you step on it.  Once you step on it; it is nearly impossible to get rid of it.”

Back on April 29, 2013, we predicted that Banks would be the interim chief in one of our stories where Banks condoned Schultz’s new policy making lying acceptable (READ IT HERE). Click on the story and listen to the YouTube recording.  It will make you sick as you see how DC Feist attempted to cover for his lying buddy, Alan Banks.

How about the story where Schultz and Banks stopped an alleged drunk driver (READ IT HERE)?  According to APD’s PIO, Schultz and Banks could “smell alcohol coming from the car, saw blood shot watery eyes, and heard the driver communicate with slurred speech.”  This sounds great folks BUT; Schultz claimed he had to smash the driver’s window out.  So how is it that both Banks and Schultz smelled alcohol or see blood shot watery eyes or heard the drivers slurred communication?

What about the suspicious death of prominent Civil Attorney Mary Han (READ IT HERE).  Banks along with Schultz and other high ranking police administrators trampled through the scene and as some of our Eyes have told us; even took pictures of the deceased with their cell phones. Banks had absolutely no business there.  How does a person live with themselves when they cannot even respect the dead? This is completely despicable!

JUST SAY “NO”

Our Eyes have been telling us about the methods of choice the Berry administration has selected to create fear and intimidation. In an effort to suppress the City employees from talking about our future Mayor, Paul Heh, the City has resorted to even dirtier tactics.  We say, just say "NO!"

One of our Eyes at the City was ordered not to even talk about Heh while they were at work.  Another one of our Eyes was “informed” that APD’s Chief, Ray Schultz, told his command staff that if any employee was suspected of “talking trash” about Schultzie or Berry; their cell phone will be subpoenaed.  This reminds us of the nefarious Darren White's childish behavior when he was the PSD; "teacher, teacher, he's looking at me funny."  These are suppose to be adults acting like adults.  Under what trumped up charges is Schultzie or Berry going to get a respected judge to sign off on a bogus subpoena?  Voters need to vote these corrupt politicians out.

City employees across the city of Albuquerque use their personal cell phones to benefit the City itself.  Many return calls from the field to citizens or vendors.  What is going to happen when the employees do not use their personal cell phones at work for work?  Complaints will go up, overtime will go up, and time-out-of-service will go up. 

Because of a paranoid chief and a paranoid mayor, the rest of us are going to suffer.  Another great job Berry and Schultz have done.  Everyone knows respect is not just given; it is earned.  Well, boys, neither one of you have earned anything.  Most communist societies are ruled in the same manner; with an iron fist.  Why? Because they abused their power and people will no longer follow that type of leader.  And just like most communist dictators; you two will soon fall.

The Ultimate Life of an Extortionist

This is a story about life where an extortionist lives above all because of an actual threat or perceived threat of exposing the truth. Our definition of an “extortionist” is; “a person who has damning or damaging information on another or a situation that may or is threatening to expose the truth in exchange for some form of compensation.” In legal terms it is called blackmail or extortion.  This is our opinion and belief of what has transpired with Tj Wilham over the past few years which have led to Tj Wilham being recently appointed as the Manager of the “APD Real Time Crime Center.”

Isn't it against City policy to be sleeping on-duty?

How does a person land a big dollar job like this in the City?  Is it a bid on position? Was the position open and circulated in the Journal for the citizens to apply? What are the qualifications? We are sure there are many citizens looking for a work that would do a great job in this position.   This position is a pay-off for Tj Wilham, who we believe, has damning or damaging information on Berry. 

Tj Wilham was originally an out-of-state person who got a job reporting for the Journal. Wilham's job; digging up all the trash and garbage he could scrounge up on the Albuquerque Police Department. Yes, Wilham was APD's "Public Enemy Number One." Wilham was given a position as the Public Information Officer in the City for the nefarious Darren White.  There were several incidents that occurred and finally while White was out of town; Tj Wilham was fired and escorted out. White returned promptly and rescued Wilham taking him back into the City and under White’s wings.  Wilham tried to force Chris Ramirez out of the Mayor’s Office but in the end Ramirez forced Wilham out.

Wilham was “placed” at APD in a position that did not exist with a fat salary (80k) as a project coordinator under Sal Barigiola (White’s former under sheriff). The Eye questioned this at the time but Berry and his administration covered it up.

[Mr. Wilham continued to act as Mr. White’s PIO until early 2011 when the Mayor’s administration found out he leaked information concerning text messages between Mayor Berry’s PIO, Chris Huffman-Ramirez and APD Officer Byron “Trey” Economidy after Officer Economidy’s shooting incident. For reasons unknown Mr. Huffman-Ramirez was texting Officer Economidy directly during the night of Officer Economidy’s shooting incident with Jacob Mitschelen. But it seems Mr. Wilham had an ace up his sleeve as while there was a flurry of talk about Mr. Wilham’s termination, he in fact got promoted. He went from being a Public Information Officer, “Special Projects Coordinator.” Mr. White shortly thereafter self-destructed and was fired as the city’s Chief Public Safety officer.]

In another Eye story Tj Wilham is being sued for illegal activity (read it HERE) :

[On August 20, 2012, APD’s “Special Projects Coordinator” and Chief Schultz’s personal assistant, TJ Wilham, was named as a primary defendant in a defamation lawsuit. In the case the allegations assert Wilham illegally obtained timesheet information pertaining to APD employee and fully sworn reserve officer David Young. Wilham then moved forward with stories in the Albuquerque Journal with titles such as “Wanna Be Cop…” and “APD Warned Civilian Not to Play Cop” ignoring the fact that Mr. Young had been issued a law enforcement commission card signed by Chief Schultz, issued a detectives badge, been praised by department executives, and had helped provide cover for officers in APD special investigation division. While it seems people were feeding the reporter information, Mr. Wilham never once contacted Mr. Young for an interview. Nor did he review whether or not Mr. Young’s actions were in violation of any SOP never mind state statute.

This is where the lines between the private media and a public law enforcement organization blur. In response to this front page story, the complaint states that Chief Schultz and APD lawyer Kathy Levy discussed the story and plotted a response before even ascertaining whether any wrongdoing had occurred. In emails Levy tells Chief Schultz, “...take the highroad that we are acting on the side of caution.” Levy also told Chief Schultz, “...make sure we’ve got good access to tj for the right comments…” Then days later on September 15, 2009, in an engorged article by Mr. Wilham, Chief Schultz is quoted as saying, “We have decided to take the high road and error on the side of caution. We think this is the best course of action…” Clearly, the relationships between Levy, Chief Schultz, and Mr. Wilham blurred as the APD and the Albuquerque Journal plotted together how to address this story and resolve it a manner where once again Chief Schultz was afforded cover.]

Here another excerpt from another Eye story (Read it HERE) :

[Apparently for the Berry Administration it is an $80,000.00 a year job paid for by your tax dollars. It appears that TJ Wilham knows too much (we know that’s a stretch at any rate) and Schultz is afraid to let him go. Wilham has been reassigned to Chief Schultz’s staff on the Fifth Floor as a PIO. Wilham was originally hired by Mayor White, we mean Berry as a PIO. The history of this slug is interesting.

Berry hired Wilham as his PIO. Wilham was forced out of the nest by PIO Chris Huffman-Ramirez. Our Eyes told us that Wilham was fired while Boss Hog Darren White (read it here) was out of town. When White rushed back into town, he gave Wilham back his job and reassigned him to a position that was nonexistent and that was not funded. White assigned Wilham to “Special Projects Coordinator.” This position was under the watchful eye of White and former Undersheriff, Sal Baragiola. The job was never listed on the City web-site. There was never a job description or duties assigned to this position.

Our eyes told us that White was making APD pay for Wilham’s salary. Schultz demanded the body that he was paying for and Wilham was transferred from doing nothing under Baragiola to APD. Wilham’s new job was overseeing a program that would not exist in APD for another five years. Now, Wilham is on the Chief’s Staff as a PIO. The question is why?]

The reason Wilham was fired and shoved out was in this Eye story (Read it HERE).

[In a Journal report by Jeff Proctor, who appears to be the main source that APD uses, wrote this story, “Officer Got Personal Texts After Shooting,” big deal, right? The Eye dug further into this story because our staff was perplexed why this story ran when there was nothing to it. The bottom line appears to be tied to TJ Wilham, Darren White’s personal selection for a PIO.

The story centers around an APD Detective, Trey Economidy, who fatally shot a guy who pulled a gun on him. Proctor became concerned when he learned that Chris Ramirez the PIO for the Mayor’s Office shared text messages with Detective Economidy, after the police involved shooting. As it turns out, Ramirez and Economidy have been friends for some time and the text messages were simply of concern for a friend.

The Eye asked these questions. Who was the rat who went running Proctor? Why did this rat go running to Proctor?

This is what our Eyes are telling us. At some point in time Ramirez confronted TJ Wilham based on information that Ramirez received that it was Wilham who approached Proctor. The Journal reporter, Proctor called Chief Schultz, who in turn sent out the full crew to Detective Economidy’s home. It was determined that the text messages were harmless and only a communication between friends. This was a waste of time, energy, ink and paper. I wonder what it cost to get all of APD out to chase down this “red herring.” Here are a few more questions. Did APD get a warrant? What judge would sign the warrant for this heinous deed of receiving a personal text message?]

Here is another story where Wilham get a new “take home” car to run to Taco Bell. (Read it HERE) :

[What about the civilians who are allowed to keep their take home cars and provide absolutely no benefit to the citizens? If the take home car policy was changed, solely for budget issues, why are civilians (none sworn employees) allowed to have take home vehicles? For instance, the police fleet manager has a take home car. He is not on call and does not respond during off duty hours. He has a desk job and keeps track of all city owned vehicles. TJ Wilham (who prided himself in bashing the City and the police while working for the local news paper) has a take home car. Now he is triumphant of the actions of the City and the police. The question is; for what reason, no one would give us a clear justification. The Mayor has two take home cars. Why? Many of Berry’s administrators have take home cars. Why?]

The Eye has many, many, more stories about Wilham and all the problems he has created, participated in and been involved with. Berry or the chief could not find a decent or more qualified person to direct this unit?  They hired this guy based on what? This is all a Hush-Hush job to purchase the silence of Wilham.

Here is another issue, “Big Brother.” And we are not talking about Wilham; we are talking about culvert operation where citizens are spied upon.  In the Journal story (Read it HERE) it states, “That information — which could, for example, include whether someone is a veteran suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder — is relayed to officers as they make their way to a call for police service. And in the event that a call is taking place in an area where one of the cameras is, staff in the new crime center can manipulate the camera to watch what’s happening.”

Let’s put a camera in the Mayor’s office, at SCalo’s Restaurant, and in the Chief’s office with audio.  Let’s see how they feel about everyone out in the public knowing their every move.  This is silly; this was part of the problem with the red-light scamera’s.  People do not want to live in a “police state,” we are U.S. citizens and we have a right to go about our business without being spied upon by the police.  We already know there is corruption in the chiefs’ office.  What is going to stop Ray or Berry from spying on you because they think you’re the enemy of some type?

According to Wilham, “There’s a big difference between monitoring and intelligence gathering. This is video intelligence.” We’re sorry Wilham, please tell the public what the difference is between “monitoring and intelligence gathering” and the purpose of the “video intelligence”?  Isn’t that the same thing?  Isn’t a video intelligence’s (surveillance) primary purpose is to monitor and gather intelligence? And this is the manager of the center telling us “Big Brother” is not “Big Brother,” it is just a “Big Brother type model.”  It makes us feel like we’re visiting New York, the “Ol’ Shell Game.”  No one is that incompetent to believe this gibberish. Here is a great idea; stop lying.

Here is one more statement from the Police Department, “Another controversial piece of law enforcement technology APD ultimately plans to include in its new approach: facial recognition software that will allow police to match images caught on cameras against “known criminals” in the state’s Motor Vehicle Division database and other databases.”  We here are not criminals yet all of our pictures are in the Motor Vehicle Divisions database.  This will ultimately make us the focus of “Big Brother.” Can we elect not to have MVD retain our picture?  Is there a way for the law abiding citizen to “opt” out of this police state program?  The answer is no.

Berry is a likable guy but that is it. He has not kept any of his campaign promises and has done nothing to stop Albuquerque from deteriorating.  Because Berry is a “likable guy” does not make him a good mayor.  Berry has failed to do the job we hired him to do.

This has bad written all over it. Tired of the corruption and all the problems that plague Albuquerque? Vote Berry out; it is that simple.

44 Million Reasons to Vote Berry OUT of OFFICE!

The City of Albuquerque which is led by Mayor RJ Berry is exposed by KOAT Channel 7 News (SEE it HERE).   The City of Albuquerque spent 44 million dollars on settlements last year.  This is shocking but Berry and company added “insult to injury” by lying over and over and over again.

The City of Albuquerque first told Channel 7 news reporter, Lauren Zakalik, the City had spent 4 million dollars in settlements and then the City told Zakalik it was 8 million dollars.  After asking a third time, nothing, then the fourth and final time with a set of documents to prove more was spent; the truth came out.  The City spent a grand total of 44 million dollars of your money. 

For most of us, we may never make a total of 1 million dollars through the entire course of our lives. Yet, the City gave out forty-four times the amount of money a person may make in a lifetime, all in one single year.  According to COA Perry; neither he nor the City of Albuquerque knew 44 million dollars was missing out of the City’s check book.

In Zakalik’s interview Chief Administrative Officer, Rob Perry, stated, “Clearly there were more questions than answers,” Here is the City’s CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER admitting he is dumbfounded.  This is the City’s top official who is an attorney telling the world he is not in control of the City and has no idea what the hell is going on in the City.

Want more proof?  Perry continues to state, “I was pretty disappointed, and I want to thank KOAT for bringing about some accountability…”  Does this mean if Channel 7 would never have caught the City’s blunders, nothing would have been known about it?  This administration doesn’t care about you or the community.  The Berry administration is undoubtedly incompetent and ill responsible.

Mayoral Candidate Paul Heh stated during his announcement, “If you were missing $400 out of your account; you would know…Oh no, but not the City; they did not know that 44 million dollars (a tenth) of the City’s entire budget was missing; gone?  Really?”  This statement rang very clean; the City’s failed leadership is not accountable or responsible and they lie constantly.

The City of Albuquerque under the failed leadership of Berry, Perry and Schultz remind us of a famous quote by Republican President, Ronald Reagan:

This is a perfect description of Berry’s failed leadership of the City of Albuquerque.

 Mayor Berry is playing a cheap game of trying to make everyone sweat it out.  Berry is not going to seek public assistance.  He has his wife’s money and the entire BIG DOLLAR political machine who will stuff his pockets full of cash like some cheap topless table dancer.  Berry will announce sometime around April.  This will block other candidates from having equal media time.

Folks, we did not make this up, we all need to stand up and VOTE for Paul Heh for Mayor.  Let’s clean up this mess by placing a responsible and accountable leader like Heh into office.
