The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. So, Whats in a Month?

There has been much discussion lately about the city's latest assignment of court cases to outside lawyers. And while in some cases it may make sense, especially when the house-counsel has no experience in certain legal matters. But to do so in circumstances that are not winnable makes absolutely zero sense.

As we've seen, when city lawyer Kathryn Levy was tossed into a situation of having to defend a murderer, it probably isn't surprising that she did so poorly that not only did she lose, but her client got hit with punitive damages. Of course she should've have known that would be the case given the situation with APD officer (and soon to be sergeant) Brett Lampiris-Trembla and she should've pushed for the city to avoid its loss but alas arrogance makes people do odd things.

Odd things are running amok, and we at the Eye are wondering what is the dynamic duo of Berry and Perry is thinking. You see they are contracting out other similar dismal cases to high price lawyers. And while lawyers such as Luis Robles of RRA, PC may be more....persuasive....at rates approaching $300/hour, how persuasive will they be when it means less work remains to be seen.

Last year, assistant city lawyer Kathryn Levy pulled in over $105,900 in annual income (just about $100 short of APD Lieutenant Scott Lopez's take home of about $106,000). Now we know out friends on the 5th and 11th floor are borderline illiterate when it comes to math, so we'll do the arithmetic for you: that's about $8,833/mo in gross income for Ms. Levy. Not bad for somebody who has been described as "lying for a living." But in the world of Berry/Perry logic, why keep things in house where you can work somebody to death when you can contract the work out for almost seven times the price!

This is another method of out-sourcing and calling it like it is; privatizing. Here is the caveat of it all, the city is not eliminating the position but keeping them and paying top dollar to private firms!

You see, one of our Eyes sent us a little sampler to see what Mr. Robles charges the state for his contract services. As you can see here, he and his firm make a little bit more than $8,833/mo. They make, it seems, well over $50,000/month!

So as Berry/Perry think they've solved the city's legal problems by dumping Ms. Levy in favor of Mr. Robles, it certainly isn't free. And we certainly know regardless of the lawyer, if it's a bad case, it's a bad case. And while we are no fan of Ms. Levy and her record of being defeated, costing us taxpayers thousands of dollars in sanctions for her misconduct, and being caught lying, it makes even less sense to send more good money after bad money...

A single cell organism could guess the right decision at a greater percentage rate then these dipsticks’, especially Perry.

Lopez salary shows how fuc#ed up APD is. Why do we have lieutenants out on overtime. That is total miss use of funds. Was the Sgt., out on all these ops? If the Sgt, can't be out the IPS shouldn't be scheduled. Freeze frame did the same in SID. Where are the commanders that are allowing this to happen. It sure appears that any lieutenant who makes that much is out for himself and didn't give a shit about his troops. And we all wonder why doj is visiting.

So Levy and Moreno are kept aboard to clean up dog shit at full pay??

Maybe Channel 7 needs to do repeated inquires to get another 'thanks' from CAO (Crank Another lie Out) Rob (The Citizen's Blind) Perry.........

My money is on Levy to win the cat fight over who gets to wear Levi's old pussy urine stained coveralls.

Ummmm, COVERALLS, takes on a WHOLE new meaning....

Oh ya, will somebody wake up Kari, its lunchtime.....

UCR final numbers were given to the FBI months ago but this Mayor refuses to release them!
Since he seems to think he is above the law (again) someone IPRA the local FBI Office for a copy of what they received.

Great job, Tasia, on your investigation and arrest of the recent child abductor. Seeing you walk the offender to the PTC was great! Please keep up the good field work.

Tasia, your expertise and experience is needed in our short staffed area command. After your arrest of the abductor we now know we need you to help us in our duty to help enforce our laws per our mission statement.

Congratulations Tasia! Your fifth floor training is now complete.
You've taken credit for an arrest while omitting that he turned himself in. Don't forget to include it in your monthly. You have the photo to prove it after all.
You also allowed the media to do the questioning he refused to answer to 34s. Now you can use that in Court.
Good Job

Tasia comments lmfao. Tasia will be working foothills day shift in no time.

So as a citizen I'm ashamed to read the journal today & see that there's a front page picture of a 90 pound female cop(Tasia?) apparently taking credit by walking out the child abductor out of the main flanked by an apparent detective wearing a "death squad" tshirt. Is this the detective who also advertises he work for the human waste disposal agency? Is this considered proper attire? Will there be consequences? Personally I think that rapist of children should be sent to the death squad however wearing that shirt representing APD with all it's current scrutiny is bad for all who wear the uniform.

Who needs cops? We have Tasia.

Hahahaha... Hurry up! We have a photo op!
Ok now Tasia, look tough and on my signal walk the bad guy out lik you mean business....
Hahahahaha.

Every time i read the journal i feel bad for the real and good officers out there getting shit upon by shitboy schultz while these non cop check collectors get taken care of and groomed for a lovely career.

11:47 should be the chief of police. Does anyone want to know what is wrong with APD? Take a look at the David Hernandez perp walk picture.

1. Why is Tasia Martinez doing the perp walk? This one goes to her inexperience as a police officer. A experienced officer would have had the officers and detectives who made the arrest appearing in public with the suspect. Tasia needs to figure out she is ruining her reputation.

2. Why is the male plainclothes officer wearing a death squad t shirt when he is on camera representing APD? Who is this guy? Does he work in sex crimes or crimes against children? If so is this how he dresses for work? If he works in another unit why the heck is he dressed in a such a horrible fashion? He is a horrible representation of APD.

3. Were there no Sgts, lts, commanders or chiefs in the police building to tell Tasia not to act like she made the arrest? Where were the supervisors? I would think one of them would tell the male officer not to be on camera with that type of t shirt. Where were the commanders and chiefs? Or do they think it is all OK?

4. The perp walk is dangerous and stupid. Remember Lee Harvey Oswald? Is APD in such a PR mess that they want to risk a suspects life and the police officers lives walking this guy across the street, through a crowd full of people, just so they can get some easy PR? A real police department would have kept the suspect in a secured area and taken him to booking without the circus.

Where is the Chief? Why is he allowing this circus? It makes us look like key stone cops. We need a grown up to run APD, right now we just have kids.

WTF is a Tasia?

Anonymous said...

That perp walk was so staged it is pathethic. If Tasia had any balls she would have said no. I don't know what the purpose of this was. But finally they have realized that they arent afraid to walk their 16's from the Main to the PTC and didn't call a field unit. That is Officer of the year material.

Look at Tasia's body language pursing her lips.

Tasia the PIO taking credit for the arrest of a guy who turned himself in, how special! Tasia you are a worthless PIO and a terrible representation of our department. Go back to the streets for more than FOUR months and learn how to be an officer before taking on such a high profile position within the department. You have to have actually made an arrest before you start taking credit for arrests you had no part of. And stop bragging to people about back when you were on the streets! You mean two years ago for that brief FOUR month period on graveyard??? That doesn't count when the rest of us spent the whole time trying to keep you from hurting yourself. You seem to forget that we all remember you crying and complaining about your terrible days off and needing weekends off. so then you get your weekends off and then you want days and weekends off and you cried enough that chiefs got together and spoke in secret meetings about your vast street experience or lack thereof and decided you would be a great spokesperson repeating anything your TOLD to say.

And Gibbs your no different lying for the chiefs and telling citizens to kill themselves on facebook. You both are only taking credit for what REAL officers bled, sweat, and cried for. Dont act like you guys did anything important because you have twitter accounts and blog about it. Your both worthless! I'd rather have that fat ass TJ be our spokesperson because at least we know he was paid to be a liar and being hired from the journal he at least has professional writing and speaking skills and experience.

Thats my opinion and im sticking to it!

@4:01pm very good points. A disaster waiting to happen if a family member of the victim had a wild hair and took justice into his own hands. I shudder to think if that happened, what Tasia would do. Also, look at her uniform and see that she doesnt even carry a pen. Is she even a certified officer?

Anonymous said...

Tasia was ordered to because no one had any official police gear to put on for the three ring circus. Why would you need all your gear for a guy who turned himself in?
How long did he sit in holding while this walk around the building, not out the most direct exit, was taken?

Anonymous said...

4:01,
Schutlz is the ringmaster. Hahaha.
He sits in his real time crime center directing the circus.

DTasia have on her lapel camera??? Did they have lapel running since they were in contact with an offender. They should have and it should be tagged right???

Anonymous said...

I swear Schultz and TJ were really the one's who arrested him. They saw him with their handy dandy enima cams and busted him 66ng.

Anonymous said...

Is her weapon next to the guy? Her mace is. It wouldn't take much for a big guy to push her over and she not looking down not assessing her surroundings. Even death squad t-shirt guy is looking down. Post the photo eye along with your notes on every SOP infraction in one photo. Mind blowing

a lot of city departments are giving our jobs to other states. the library has contracted their customer service dept. out of state. there goes 4 jobs out the window to Oklahoma ....poof! berry sucks as do all admins and asst admins at the city..we all hate you.

The dork ballbag hermaphrodite strapper knob job cop wearing that death clutch shirt looks like a fat george michaels. When did they install glory holes in the main bathrooms? I wonder if he was wispering i want your sex to the perp as he strolled over to the transport center arm in arm.

Anonymous said...

Yea we didn't know the cameras reached all the way to Rio Rancho. Was Schultz done helping Boston with the bombing case to be back Albuquerque???

Anonymous said...

Does anyone know exactly what Tasia does all day? Seriously, she does not come out to scenes, she may give one interview a week, where is she the rest of the time.

Anonymous said...

Tasia works hard, leave her alone! Just today I saw her carrying some paperwork for one of the chiefs PSA's. You cant make this up people. And why should she drive all the way to crime scenes to give statements when everything is a text or email away? I wouldnt wanna leave that nice air conditioned office with a view of the peons below either if i had it. Shes saving taxpayers money by not driving around and staying put also. Heck she doesnt even drive herself around. Usually one of the chiefs is shuttling her around in their cars. Lay off Tasia already!
