Back in 2008, we at the Eye alerted our friends to the many financial irregularities going on in the APOA. You see, as we reported then APOA president Ron Olivas certainly enjoyed his unsupervised use of the APOA credit card courtesy of member dues money. From cigar purchases to daily lunches, Olivas fed himself and took care of himself well.
Then when accused wife beater Joey Sigala took over the APOA, Olivas left and went to APD's Intelligence Unit. While Olivas was there, he leaked information about an FBI investigation concerning a friend of former officer Brad Ahernsfield to Mr. Ahrensfield himself. While then Officer Ahrensfield got hung out to dry, Olivas took over 100 hours of unpaid leave and then was allowed to resigned with his pension.
Oddly, then APOA President brought a confirmed liar and leak on APOA salary as a "labor consultant" and paid him over $40,000/year plus a handsome package of benefits. Including new suits.

And finally, we are told, Olivas was caught leaking information out (to Schultz) about the recently elected APOA President Stephanie Lopez.
So the question to ask is, how many officers did Olivas harm in leaking privileged information? How many other Ahrensfields are out there? What about former officers Doyle and Woolever? What did Olivas know and what did he do with that information? Our Eyes tell us, Olivas and former APOA vice president Tommy Henderson not only ran their mouths like faucets but went so far as to keep their own files on officers and their allegations of misconduct...just in case.
Don't worry maam, we're happy to chat anytime, anyplace. You can even bring whom we suspect is your new buddy, Ron Olivas with you....

Good riddance, from the FSB thank you for ousting this guy. Steph Lopez sometimes it's harder to stand up for what's right.
Another poster said it best. Olivas ran his mouth like a faucet. And there was no brass he was not willing to go down on his knees for.
I believe there are more corrupt and crooked people working for our governments, it's so sad, there are hard working government people out there but they are the ones that are being harrassed by their higher ups, the aviation department has quite a few supervisors that cheat the city and lie about the lower employees, AND GET AWAY WITH IT, because they are protected by their supervisors, HR, and Directors, Get rid of them and we won't have to cut city employees pay by 3% percent on top of the 1.5 % they already got, City employees have not had a raise in many many years and he wants to cut again, Mayor Berry should forgo his pay!!!!!
I hope this isnt true. I used to think Ron was doing what was best for the 34's. Eye, please explain further what he has actually been involved with an not just hearsay gossip.
You want to know the truth about Ron. Ask to see his cell phone records.
You want the truth about Ron. Ron collects one paycheck from pera, one paycheck from APOA, and one paycheck from Robert Caswell Investigations. That's right while APOA is defending 34s he is getting a check to be th PI looking into if 34s are corrupt enough to warrant an SID investigation.
Ask? How bout take. Like post them and all the calls and texts that went to Ray Rays and Jeff Proctor's.
Ron Olivas has been Jeff Proctor's source on all inside information. The APOA should be suing the motherucker for breach of contract.
Fact: Olivas rolled on Sigala in the state police 27.
Every lawyer who uses caswell is open to credibility issues if olivas is involved in the case work.
FACT:
Olivas stopped working for Caswell over two years ago. Get your facts straight people. His career with RCI was short lived and lasted one year.

FACT:"
That is very interesting. RO must have been double-dipping with RCI while working in SID in the midst of the whole Ahrensfield situation then.
FACT: RO was not eligible for retirement until June, 2011.
So, if RO stopped working for RCI over two years ago, and also worked there for the year prior to that, I see a big conflict in which there would be a violation of "outside employment." And presumably, RO would have been using his on-duty time at APD as well as APD resources to do his "private investigations" for RCI.
Ask Ron what he was doing.
DOESNT OLIVAS LOOK LIKE MING THE
MAGNIFICENT IN FLASH GORDON
No, he lookd like a constipation suppository.
