The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Is it Jeff Proctor or Alfred E. Neuman or are they one in the same?

As we commented earlier this year, the state's largest paper the Albuquerque Journal, frequently deviates from it's duty to provide fair, balanced, and unbiased news reporting. It fails in this regard because frequently it buries important stories in the back pages, heavily edits AP wire stories, or simply refuses to publish "newsworthy" reports.

It's no wonder that it's circulation has steadily fallen over the last years. Just like the City of Albuquerque and its dwindling job market, declining economy, disgraceful child wellness standing, soaring crime rate, soaring misconduct cases, the Journal refuses to confront the reality that it is little more than a propaganda device for the Berry and Martinez administrations.

Now, our Eyes tell us that the paper's primary crime/police reporter Jeff Proctor, is once again either omitting newsworthy stories or that he has no backbone to stand up against his boss Ken Walz.
You see, over the last few months, almost all of mayoral candidate Paul Heh's campaign staff have been the target of very similar criminal offenses. From forced entry residential break-ins, false cable repairmen, computer hacking, arbitrary and discriminatory "spot" inspections by city authorities, prowlers seen fleeing the backside of residences, and vandalism to homes and cars.  This information was conveyed to Mr. Proctor a few weeks ago and Mr. Proctor even interviewed some of the campaign workers.

Yet, despite these clear acts of intimidation, the Journal has not published any story concerning these events that have been documented with police reports and calls to federal officials. And these offenses are not limited to workers involved with the Heh campaign, but also Pete Dinelli's campaign staff as well.

Maybe Mr. Proctor has not even written a story? Maybe Walz has suppressed the story? Maybe Proctor is not a reporter but still part of the funny section "posing" as a reporter?

In any event, these actions as they've been relayed to us cannot stand. Not surprisingly, the two campaign workers who have not been directly targeted are former police officers. Perhaps the perpetrators of these offenses have a grain of common sense in knowing armed former officers are not to be victimized.... Perhaps the perpetrators of these offenses have something else in store for them.

However, if anybody knows Mr. Heh, they know he will not run nor hide unlike the incumbent. He will become more visible, more passionate, and more outspoken. And we know his workers will defend themselves with any necessary force if they and their families are attacked.

Folks, while we know Albuquerque has major crime problems, the strike of criminal offenses that cluster around certain individuals during a certain time of year when never such incidents have happened before is not coincidence. It is orchestrated.

We at the Eye call upon our friends in the DOJ to investigate this matter immediately before somebody gets hurt. We have been told the Heh campaign has already contacted the FBI regarding these federal criminal offenses designed to suppress free elections and free campaign activities.

Shame on Proctor for not pushing this story before the citizens of Albuquerque either on his Twitter page or in his paper! Shame on Walz for suppressing a major newsworthy issues. And shame on Berry and Shultz for endorsing such nefarious activity!

Perhaps, the ABQ Journal is waiting till closer to election time to cover story. Also, as an aside- Isn't it against APD policy for an APD Officer to allow somebody that the APD Officer states to be suicidal to sleep next to an APD gun at night? Levi Chavez's Defense Attorney brought out that Chavez's former wife, Terra, was told "ok" to keep a gun even though she was said to have written a disturbing note that Levi believed at the time she wrote the note was a suicide note. Wouldn't that be against APD policy for APD Officers to leave the chain of custody to a former thought to be suicidal wife to sleep with at night? It would like something absurd in logic such as, "hey honey, know your suicidal, so how about a nice loaded gun to sleep with you in a box in the closet at night? You know, just in case, you would like to use it." The forces of suicide are there. It reminds me of an 1890 something short story that I just came across. A beautiful female arrives at Oxford to study. A male is fallen for her beauty and says he will commit suicide in her honor of her beauty. All the other males on campus see her beauty, too. The beautiful female tells the males that it would be nice to have their suicides in honor of her beauty. The male decides against suicide, but sees an Owl that he thinks is a message from a God to go ahead with the suicide. He commits suicide and so do all the males on campus at Oxford in honor of her beauty. The last part of the short story has the female telling another at the train station that she is heading for Cambridge!!! I hope that you get that it is ridiculous for anybody to commit suicide, but as in the note left by Terra entered into evidence at the trial- those forces were at work for Terra to feel a certain way. Was Levi the Cassanova that hoped his wife would "do it," and deliberately left his gun in a box in the closet against APD policy to allow what an APD Officer himself (Levi) described as a suicidal woman? Like the short story brings out that despicable people full of their own cassonova vanity would opt for people to commit suicide. I hope nobody gets caught up in that energy of forces upon that a despicable person like Levi is. I believe that Terra fought off those despicable forces upon her by Levi and out of frustration that Terra didn't commit suicide took his APD issued gun and killed his own former wife to cover up his insurance fraud. Who else would leave a gun in the closet of a supposed suicidal former wife distraught over his many affairs, but somebody hoping she would do it and give in too his despicable forces.

Why would Levi leave his APD gun in the same house, in the same bedroom with a supposed suicidal woman? Either he was hoping she would, "do it," or he was sooo frustrated that Terra didn't "do it," that he murdered Terra himself.

Tera must not have been suicidal because Levi Chavez, an APD Officer at the time left his APD issued gun at Tera's house. How could a trained police officer do that? Is Levi a good cop? Tera wasn't suicidal and Levi must have murdered his wife, Tera. If your former spouse had really been suicidal as Levi entered into evidence the suicide note, then how could he have left his APD issued gun at Tera's house unattended? How awful!!!!

Eye,

Post your allegations. Why wait for the FBI or DOJ? If you are going to toss it out there, back it up. We want to read the facts, quit dancing around with Proctor and Walz (althougth the Alfred E Neuman is hilarious).

Let's read what you are alleging. Post the police reports!

Eye, time for a post about all of Walz's affairs starting with "investigative reporter" Colleen Heild who was promoted to keep quiet. Now he's moved on to Teri Cole at the Chamber of Commerce. The Journal won't report the truth because it's run by a scumbag. Proctor is just a tool.

Plenty more to report on:

APD cop shoots partner...Zzzzzzzzz

APD allows drunks to drive off in bait car....Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!

The corrupt, negligent, unprofessional conduct surrounding my son, UNM Engineering student Kerry Lewis'murder by APD and DA Brandenburg's office has been related to the Journal repeatedly (proof in official documents), but has never been properly or fully reported. The DOJ has so much to investigate, and the unhealthy relationships between the media, APD, Brandenburg deserves exposure, too. Thankyou for publishing what others won't !

Not guilty verdict awhile ago. What is wrong with this picture? Levi is still womanizing, will probably get his job back, and we are still wondering who paid this low-life's legal fees? The jury is naive, and they might also be simple minded.

If not for the Albuquerque Eye and other Journalists, then the Tera Chavez case would never have gone to a Grand Jury. Good job, Eye on covering this story! The civil case against Levi Chavez should be an easy win because the standard of proof is a lot lower.

@440, I'm sorry for your loss. Don't expect much here. They had a Mesa covered in corpses that they knew about but hid and then denied there was a serial killer. The only thing this shitshow dept knows how to investigate is when somebody surrenders and maybe only then if that.

But you can be damn sure when it comes to proving a shooting was justified or protecting certain cops you'll see no effort or expense spared. Won't they Walkace?

Proctor and the Albuquerque Urinal are not only tools of the power structure in ABQ, such as the APD and Berry, but are also muck-raking, scandal mongering idiots. Proctor never investigates any other side of a story but just elaborates and exaggerates the crap given him by APD. They don't even come close to the any journalistic "ethics"..(if they even know about them). The Urinal will assassinate a person's character, defame him and ruin his reputation and seem to relish it. They do not check other sources, as real journalists are obligated to do, but instead just swallow and parrot and regurgitate the scandalous PR junk they are fed by Schultz, APD and Berry. The sooner the ABQ Urinal dies away, the better. And Proctor can go write for the Globe, Star or Enquirer.

@6:02:00 PM
APD civilian, Kirk Profitt, that worked in the TRU unit committed suicide. Services are be held for him tomorrow evening. RIP brother.

Kirk used to work in the Valley prior to being moved to the main. This happened shortly after Mason became commander (I know it kinda makes a joke of the whole rank). So very sad, Kirk was a nice and funny guy. Yeah there may be some good cops with integrity but as you an dot hers sit there silently while all this shit continues on, your inaction gets you lumped in with all the shit bags. You know it and so does every body else. Man up or shut the fuck up.

Jeff Procter thinks the "rants and raves" section of craigslist is a good place to publish stories. This story is probably more comprehensive than anything he writes in the journal..(sarcasm implied).
