Biden Remorse?

After the thunderous entry of Sarah Palin into the Presidential race, Democrats may be feeling a sense of buyers, or at least Biden remorse. Obama's safe pick turned out to be a less than inspiring choice, particularly when compared to McCain's coup.

With one decision the Arizona Senator nearly wiped out Obama's convention bounce and put the wind in his campaign sails allowing him to close on the Democratic frontrunner and surpass him in some polls. Now we're hearing whispers that Obama and the Ds are considering a veep swap.

The rumor - which could be just that - goes that Biden will step down citing health problems. Obama will then choose his vanquished opponent Hillary Clinton to replace the ailing Biden. All of this is timed to happen after the October 2nd debate.

Remember these are just rumors but if true, Biden could become a rabid attack dog during the debate without risking a public backlash. We believe that Democrats have been looking with envy at the McCain pick and would be willing to do just about anything to get Hillary back on their ticket.

If any of this scenario plays out to be true! Good night McSame/Fakin.

Have you heard the rumor that the current "Bush" administration is planning to go to war so that he remains in office and the election becomes void all together? .... Rumors are just that ... If we select someone to the office simply because they are a woman instead of picking the best-qualified candidate, the U.S. citizens are the ones who lose ... I am a Republican who usually changes channels when Governor Palin is on the tube ... I have had enough of High School cheerleader assemblies years ago!

Biden can't be replaced w/Hillary... to transparent, no one will believe them and it will take away any steam they have left. Biden just has to soldier on and avoid the gaffes.

This is one Democrat who feels that Obama made a great choice, balancing his perceived lack of experience with someone who has exactly that. Hillary is much too divisive. If anyone is having second thoughts I expect it's the McCain camp, trying to deal with the fallout from Troopergate, use of Yahoo mail for government business, the flip-flop on the Bridge to Nowhere, shall I go on?

Biden isn't going anywhere. The fact that Republicans imagine that he's somehow an inferior candidate to Palin is hilarious. Palin got a lot of attention right off the bat because nobody knew who she was.

Now the worldknows who she is: George W Bush in a skirt. Intellectually incurious, undereducated, obsessed with secrecy and loyalty in her subordinates, and an all-around fundamental religious wackjob who actually believes that God wanted us to invade Iraq and that Iraq was somehow involved in 9/11. Sounds just like W to me.

I know Republicans like to live in the past but the Palin bounce is already over. National polls have Obama back up by between three and five points, just like he was before Palin was chosen.

Yea, Biden's boring. I'm switching my vote to Palin cuz I really like her glasses.

Anonymous said...

But she's wonderful, she already knows:
how to obfuscate and delay an investigation
how to spin embarrasment
how to claim credit for someone else's actions
how to mislead the public based on half-truths
and she knew Fannie/Freddie had cost the taxpayer too much money and the solution was to privatize them and let our unfettered free-market system work- oops, well that was just once in that speech in Colorado Springs-
so then she learned to say that what she really meant was different than what she said.

If our current Prez is the standard, she seems perfectly qualified.

What's not to be jealous of???

...gotta go- I'm off on a task from God to build a pipeline...

Pssssst.
McCain started the rumor.

Palin is hot,,,shes definitely got my vote

Perhaps AFTER Obama gets disqualified due to his not being able to produce a REAL birth certificate, Hillary will step in to save the day.

We live in an area with lots of folks who's work requires clearances. Without getting overly political let me just say that the Bill Ayers connection alone would preclude Obama from getting one. So basically he can lead the free world if elected but he could not get a job at the labs..... nice candidate you all picked lefties

I think God might be punishing us for our arrogance! We shouldn't feel we need to "police" the world. (and senator "O" is still just a senator)

Palin has become a national joke. Last night from Jay Leno:

Palin isn't worried about skin cancer from her home tanning bed. She doesn't believe in science.

Palin has foreign policy experience. She has eaten at the International House of Pancakes.

Obama/Biden will win. God Bless Americans!!!

Biden is a perfect politician - experienced, intelligent, wise. But that's it. When Palin came to stage, and "PalinMania" started, Biden became invisible. So rumors claim, that Biden will officially "resign because of health problems", and Obama will invite Hillary to join his fight against Palin. Because she, and no longer McCain, is Obama's biggest problem now.
On the other hand, Obama's supporters don't like Hillary, and Obama himself does not like to be "the second", which is OK for McCain, as Palin now seems like presidential candidate, not McCain himself -http://www.votetheday.com/polls/obama-is-dumping-biden-269

ummmm W wouldn't get a clearance either because of past issues...what's your point?

If Palin is Bush in a skirt, at least she has a set. Something I seriously doubt about nObama.

all hail palin.

someone has to lead the americans in the future war against iran, then north korea the republicians want.

if we can't get them their jobs back (due to the bad economic state bush has left the country) , maybe we can send them over seas to die fighting for the future imperial colonies of the states.

so glad i migrated out of the states, and away from the bush regieme, seeing how the rest of the world eyes america has really opened my eyes. most want obama in office, but realize that most americans are warmongers and will elect mccain.

Let us be clear, McCain, Obama, Palin, nor Biden are Christians according to the pattern recorded in the New Testament. They all may agree with some religious group's doctines, but they fall short concerning what the scriptures teach. With a little study, they could still be made right.

Anonymous said...

I like how the guy above who calls Obama a "liberal idiot" has eigh spelling and grammar errors in a post which is only six sentences long. Additionally, he thinks the founding fathers were Christian when most of them were actually Deists and therefore don't recognize Christ as the son of God, which makes them not Christian.

It's really funny how Republicans continue to pretend that Biden is the weak VP candidate when just this week the McCain campaign insisted on highly restrictive VP candidate debate rules to keep Palin from looking like an idiot compared to Biden. They've got her on such a tight leash that she isn't allowed to talk to reporters at all and won't even take the simplest of questions on-record.

It really amazes me how Republicans are, for the most part, distancing themselves from the disastrously incompetent and corrupt George W Bush but gushing over Palin, who's even more of a corrupt, moronic lightweight than he ever was.

Anonymous said...

The "righties" were thumping their chests for Bush four years ago and eight years ago.NOW they wont even mention him.The "r's" twist and turn and use scare tactics to win votes. Remember Bush won by a hair the last time, thanks to Florida. Why do the r's want change? They seem to think everything is ok while were under an r president.Do or Dont you R's like Bush? If so claim him, hes one of you..or is that another twist to win an election?

Anonymous said...

Yup.The R side is finally learning that it's wiser to shut their collective yappers than to talk the bs they constantly feed us. Its going to bite them in their lipstick covered butt's.

Anonymous said...

Sarah Palin doesn't take questions after her scripted (repetitive) speeches. She does not allow reporters on her airplane. Sarah is on a very tight leash. If she is such a terrific and qualified VP candidate, why is she being gagged? She DOES have a degree in Journalism and was a TV NEWS ANCHOR. Why is she not allowed to speak and give her true opinions freely? Is she (GASP) NOT qualifed to be a heart beat away from the Presidency?

Anonymous said...

So Palin is McCain's equal? Answer me that you silly little neo-cons...

Anonymous said...

Oh you silly plant eaters... Palin appeals to the heart and soul of America. She is not a brilliant politician but she was a darn good pick for winning office. She will provide an excuse for the average middle class American to vote for someone they can identify with a little bit.

The heartland can not identify with the Bill Ayers buddy, number 1most liberal voting record, etc. etc. ad nauseum. When the "O" loses it will be one more nail in the breadbasket because we will be regaled with stories of how it was racisim.Race has to be the only reason because every one had to see he was the most brilliant human to ever grace us with his candidacy.

As a true ''Neo-Con'' [lord that's a silly label] I will claim G W Bush, and make a prediction... when sealed files from his tenure get released in 50 or 100 years we will find out what he knew that we didn;t and I guar-an-gdamn-tee you that stuff will cause history books to be re-written. There is and has been so many on going attacks on this country that have been FOILED by this administration that he is probably responsible for saving your lives and you wont ever even know it.

No doubt there is a mispelling or two in here and that will be pointed out as proof that because I type quickly but inaccurately I am somehow beneath contempt and under an Obama presidency I will have to be sent to the gulag [which should be easy to do since I won't have any guns left after he takes those away]

Perhaps one day someone will tell me, who was also abandoned by my father at the age of 2 and sent to live with lower middle class white grandparents, how that equates to prep schools in Hawaii, Harvard, and a 1.4 million dollar house purchased while organizing voters for ACORN. I drive by the local ACORN office nearly every day and those folks dont look like they make that kind of bread, but then a few of them I recognize as current probationers and parolees so maybe that's got something to do with it. Must be the man, keeping them down.

The Democrats are not jealous that that John McCain picked Caribou Barbie to be his running mate .

I mean sure, her on the ticket brings out all of the religious nuts. But, what educated person really thinks that she is ready to be the POTUS?

Anonymous said...

Why does Obama read everytime he speaks, the times that he does not are so rehearsed that it is robotic like. I am concerned about his inability to speak from the heart. I think this country is in for a terrible ride if Obama looses, rioting and hatred expressed at an unprecidented level! Hold on you all!!

Anonymous said...

Oh, I see, so Palin was chosen because she appeals to certain segments of the society. So does that mean she's not McCain's equal?

Signed,

who cares about any of their political stances! Palin is HOT & that will get her elected!

Anonymous said...

To the person three blogs up. That was way to much typing to prove nothing. Bore someone else. And who cares where someone goes to school and how? Again bla bla bla Right wing bla bla bla Who cares.

Anonymous said...

Neo-con is a label self-applied by that wing of the GOP genius. It denotes that they're in favor of foreign interventionism as opposed to the traditional GOP isolationism. I'm sure it will horrify you to discover that the Neo-cons are all former liberals who decided that militarily dominating the middle east was more important than their relatively liberal social policies. George W Bush is not a Neo-con. Dick Cheney and Don Rumsfeld are.

You did hit the nail on the head about Sarah Palin though: She's all about image and nothing about substance. She goes out and talks about how she's a hockey mom and how she has four kids and social conservatives get all firm in the pants. Never mind that her actual record shows her to be corrupt and incompetent, she believes in Jesus! Hallelujah!

I can't tell if you're lying about Obama or just misinformed, but in case its the latter: Obama is not "buddies" with William Ayers, they're acquaintances and have served on two boards of directors together. Obama does not have the most "liberal" voting record in congress, that's a lie that the GOP has used every four years like clockwork. They claimed Kerry had the most liberal record in 2004 (when in fact Kerry is fairly solidly moderate) and claimed the same thing about Gore's time in the Senate when he was running in 2000. The GOP actually claimed that the Obama/Lugar bill which required the Feds to fully disclose what they're sending taxpayer money on and created a website to easily display those expenditures was a "liberal vote". Essentially, the GOP just claims that anything that they don't like is "liberal". I'd love to see the rest of your "ad nauseum", are the rest of them is ungrounded in facts as the first two?

Its funny that you think the Bush admin has kept secret all these big terrorist plots that they've supposedly foiled. This admin has called big press conferences to announce every single plot they've busted, even though about 90% of them turned out to be total bullshit. Remember the guys who were supposedly going to bring liquid explosives on airplanes? It was total bullshit. Yet DHS is still forcing you to throw away your bottled water before you enter airplane terminals.

Finally, Obama went to good prep schools and good colleges because he earned *scholarships*, you imbecile. I know that as a Republican you believe that only wealthy people deserve to go to good schools but fortunately for actual Americans there's ways to get in via merit. Obama's $1.5M house was bought not when he was a community organizer (at that time he lived in a $200/month apartment) but after he was already a US Senator and had two bestselling books on the market, and a wife making over $200K/year as a lawyer. I liked how you imply that somehow Obama's rags-to-riches through merit story is somehow a negative against him. I suppose you prefer John McCain's failure at everything-to-ditch my crippled wife marry a rich bimbo success story instead.

It might be that Kool-aid runnin' thru your veins, but think about Obama's education and then think: affirmative action. Not that it's a bad thing, but look a little more closely into Obama's "rags to riches" story. You'll find that the "community organizer" has been a politico from a young age. He's a power/control freak who wants to tell us what we can do, when we can do it and then we'll get the privilege of paying to do things his way.....be careful what you wish for!

Anonymous said...

Right, affirmative action let him be 1st in his class at Harvard Law.

Anonymous said...

Just what American needs: another over-educated Ivy League-type sitting all up in his ivory tower telling us regular folk we need to fork out more money for alternative energy, or we need to bail out some mortgage bank and/or banker. Yeah, I know right??? 1st in his class, whatever class that may be!!

Anonymous said...

Please!! Obama never worked hard a day in his life at a real job--I imagine it's easy to "1st in your class" when you don't have to hold down a regular job in order to pay the bills or take a 2nd job to make ends meet. Or sign up for military service and get deployed overseas! What has he ever done that the rest of us do, everyday! NOTHING, that's what. He's an imposter.

Anonymous said...

Obama is just another self-righteous egomanical, pompus leftie POLITICIAN who is deluded into thinking that he, and only he, knows how best to run this country. Qualifications: He's a junior senator with a specious voting record who gives good speeches, WOW, he's got my vote!!!! hahahahaha

You're talking about the current president right? He went to Yale & Harvard.

Anonymous said...

I love the delusion and ignorance the last three posters are spewing. The very last doesn't even know what "specious" means.

Yeah, the last thing we need is an overeducated Ivy-leaguer. What we need instead is an idiot frat boy who's one of the common people. Oops, that didn't work out so well for the last 8 years did it? Morons that refuse to vote for people smarter than them is how we got stuck spending $10B a month in Iraq for no reason and now having to spend most of $1T to bail out Wall Street. Keep on voting for idiots to soothe your inferiority complex though chief.

Obama was working a $12K/year job on the south side of Chicago while John McCain was swimming around in Cindy's money like Scrooge McDuck. John McCain has never worked a non-government job in his entire life, he's spent the last 50 years sucking off the taxpayer teat. He's even happily accepting social security checks despite his wife's wealth.

Both sides in this election are becoming too insulated by their clinging to their own rhetoric. The issues could be addressed far better by better candidates on both sides. Both parties put up some talent and experience and we, the voters, managed to pick the least qualified of the lot. Both sides put up a liberal, they aren't even all that different once we take the heartland issues like abortion and guns off the table [issues that aren't really going to change anyway, no matter who wins, because they are just too ingrained]. This whole election thing is just getting silly and pounding a wedge between people who ought to all get together and look at the common sense of the issues. The farthest left 10% and the farthest right 10% are blowing hot air and the rest of us will pay for it no matter what, just like always.

Anonymous said...

"Right, affirmative action let him be 1st in his class at Harvard Law."

And being a legacy, John Sidney McCain's family connections helped him finish 894th of 899 (899 being last) in his Naval Academy class.

An advantage may lead to opportunity, but one still has to be able to do something with it.

If you've been watching, McCain's been deploying some of his best "strategery" lately. That's blowing up on him like some of his training jets.

Folks in Obama's camp are real jealous of Palin, that's why we're all grinning so much lately, it's jealousy.

Anonymous said...

Strangely, no matter who is "grinning" about the selections McCain is still going to win by about 4%

Anonymous said...

Where's the blog on the Republican "leader" who made racial remarks the other day? Let's talk about that. The "R"'s on this site and others are very quiet lately. That would be to their advatage because their mouth's are getting them nowhere.

Anonymous said...

When I posted "Right, affirmative action let him be 1st in his class at Harvard Law" I was being sarcastic. While the some conservative types go on saying this/that about Obama, you don't get to graduate 1st at Harvard Law cause your black and can speak well. Look at how Obama handled the debate...why go on the attack when you're in the lead. Obama could've destroyed McCain on numerous fronts and he held back.

Regarding Palin, even writers in the National Review are saying step down please...

The Republicans have F'd this country for the past 8 years. They are running so scared that they use "Maverick" instead of REPUBLICAN.

The State of Washington's REPUBLICAN Party is so ashamed of themselves that they are actually in COURT to sue to use "GOP" next to their names on their ballots!

Who is proud to be a REPUBLICAN and say so? Maverick? GOP? BWAHAHAHAHA

The truth hurts to all you Left-Wing Leaning, Kool-Aid drinking, Hypocritical, Budget Pork Barrel Busting Dems! I'm not crazy about some of the things my party has done, but the Dems like Frank, Dodd, Cox, Rangel, Gerelic etc . . . who were in charge of the House Finanace commities who caused this countries financial fiasco and made tons of money should resign, be investigated and jailed, if there are any Rep's in there also, they should do some jail time as well. Now they blame the President! They were in charge of this stuff and made and passed the laws. Congress let the entire country down. House Speaker Pelosi, (Who is a National Joke and disgrace can't even lead a parade across the street) wants to lay blame on the 12 Rep's who didn't vote, but she doesn't mention the fact that she told Jr. congressman they don't have to vote and not to mention 95 Dems in her own party that didn't vote. Doesn't that sound a bit hypicritical . . .? Does to me!!! Also sounds like she didn't engage her brain but stuck her size 15 foot up her fat A$&!!!
So you see both parties have people who display good Character and Integrity and people who need to beg, borrow or steal or maybe take a loan out on the "C" and "I" words !!! Sorry no pun intented. lolol Peace Out!!!

Governor Palin is a pretty smart lady who doesn't get half the credit she deserves, but you on the left want to crucify her and shread her to pieces. Senator Biden should tread lightly in their debate. They ahve high expectations for him and low expectations for her . . . how does that work!!! Either you have a good showing or you don't. Even if Governor Palin hold her own Senator Biden looses!!! She'll do just fine!!! Senator McCain did the right thing by cutting her loose for the first debate! Good Luck to the Smokin' Hot lady who goes by Caribou Barbie!!! ;)
