The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. Playin' Ball

If you're a police officer with the Albuquerque Police Department and you happen to find yourself at Isotopes park this evening, take a gander at the mayor's luxury suite. Besides spying the dictator of the 11th floor Martin "Hugo" Chavez, you'll see members of the Executive Board of APOA.

Our Eyes tell us that the Executive Board was invited to take in an Topes game from the luxurious confines of the mayoral luxury suite. The event includes free food and boo, uh... adult beverages. Apparently a luxury night at the ballpark is what you get for playin' ball with the mayor. Remember the tickets to this particular game were bought with the membership's endorsement even if the membership never agreed to the price.

The eye is the place to come for incorrect information. This site is like a cyst on the ass of the producer of this site. For all the 34's who come to this site for their "49" against the union, you should all just grow a pair of balls and come down and talk to someone at the office, or your rep. But instead of that you hide your face behind the monitor of your computer and post comments that have no weight to it. For the publisher of this site, if you are a 34 you have no right to wear the badge you have on your chest, if you are a civilian next time you have a problem and someone in uniform comes and helps you out I hope you remember that when you sit down to start writing some misinformed bullshit.

I'm not a cop, but I'm going to the game (with binoculars) and will be watchin' from the upper deck.

I don't know which will be more entertaining....the game on the field or the the game in the skybox, but I'd bet the skybox one will be on the far side of ethical. Afterall, if the mini-Marty is there, it must be either unethical, immoral, or illegal.

Maybe the APOA can give Chavez pointers on how next to answer questions from the US Attorney! Ha!

The Saturday paper had Bakas saying that Martin was tough with Bode Aviation for the taxpayer. That is B.S. Martin retaliated against Bode Aviation which by getting tough with Bode Aviation, that would ultimately mean that the consumer and the traveler would have to pay more to travel.
The Airlines already had to raise rates of charging the consumer for each luggage. Martin's retaliation led to the taxpayer being charged more money when traveling and in restructuring the airline industry which is also very costly ultimately to the traveler, consumer and taxpayer.
Elicpse Aviation was having a difficult time and if Martin got tough with Eclipse, then Elicpse would have to have gone through their restructuring sooner. How much money did the Federal government have to shell out to the Airlines after Airlines filed bankruptcy? A major airline company not too long ago filed bankruptcy just to keep from having to pay retirement funds to Pilots and crew. Martin was getting tough in an already tough economy with an already hurt industry that was just trying to stay afloat, earn their bread and butter to put on their families plates and not have to worry about some Soap Opera melodrama Stephanos aka Martin Chavez (in my opinion) trying to run Bode Aviation into the ground.

The terrorist network responsible for ending the lives of 2,000 Americans in New York on September 11, 01, did so because the Pilot training program where the terrorists learned to fly planes lacked external communications with authorities on how to report suspicious activity from their pilot students.

Martin Chavez has Bode Aviation on a month to month contract which basically means that the Owner of Bode will be operating under conditions of stress and distress. Below is the advertisement for Bode's Flight School. Bode Aviation might have actually been here when the same terrorist network visited New Mexico and the terrorists determined that the New Mexico facilities would probably detect their activities. Now, Martin Chavez has Bode Aviation on a stressful month to month as punishment to his not being given free travel, free gas, free pilot for trips to Mexico. Bode Aviation operates under Federal guidelines established to prevent unethical behavior, terrorist activity and any other criminal behavior. Yet, Martin Chavez wanted to put Bode Aviation in the least amount of lease agreement possible- a month to month lease even knowing full well of the responsibilities to Federal guidelines and policies to state and local policies. Martin Chavez needs to be in my opinion, criminally held accountable for that.

As a regular reader, I sometimes wonder about the truth of what is written here.
It would seem that whomever is willing to tell the truth, should be willing to prove it.

For, example; the leadership of the APOA says, all police officers on average, support Marty Chavez. There are commenters who argue that that is nonsense.

The leadership of the APOA should do an impartial independent survey of every single cop,on every single legitimate issue, and then publish the results. Why are they protecting the Chief from a vote of confidence?

Martin committed malfeasance in office. The Federal Judge asked that Martin not try to take the case public, but Saturday's Journal reported that Bakas disclosed details that Martin "got tought" in forcing Bode Aviation into a month to month agreement and we all know that Martin did not do that for the public good, but for his need to retaliate after being told "No" freebies by Bode Aviation.

Anonymous said...

Extortion is an ugly word my friend for it means that a person who thinks that he or she is worthy of something would use their power or sense of entitlement to get it- even if that means, "Getting tough," like what and how Nick Bakas described Martin's actions toward Bode Aviation.

I pity the fools that continues to spread lies on this site. This site has always been on the up and up until election season. It is obvious the tall tales are from a few of the compliaining retired folks from APD. I am retired and hate to say that what goes around comes around. The APOA has always been there for the officers in need. I sucks to have to be the target of an investigation. But the union is a necessary evil. We all have and will need the APOA.

Chavez put the sqeeze on Bode Aviation and in doing so committed extortion. I guess even though the Owner of Bode Aviation didn't have anything personally to reveal, Chavez found another way to squeeze, or get tough like reducing the contract to month to month and raising the rent. In my opinion, Nick Bakas basically admitted that's what Chavez did in the Saturday Journal.

I just found "feedback extortion," which is something like, "Give me $20 extra or I'll leave negative feedback." What about Contract Review extortion? When a person who has power to review a contract says something like, "If you make me pay for that Los Nochitas trip, (and since you didn't give me the freebies that I wanted), then your rent will be raised and your lease will go from long term to short term month to month." In my opinion, that is Contract Review extortion. I just had that funny feeling in watching the news about Martin Chavez taking down the old pictures of former Mayor Ken Schultz, that out of all that corruption.... Scultz is apart of history and that might come back to Martin... I think it has..... Martin, Manny and Ken can wear their orange together! Ha!

What Albuquerque needs is a Mayor that would tell Bode Aviation how important it is to keep doing an exemplary job at keeping terrorists out and running a smooth operation. Instead, Albuquerue has to deal with Martin Chavez who like Sally Mayer with her unpaid debt would be like having Sally Mayer review the contract of Target National Bank with her unpaid debt. How would you like to be a legitamit business and have your contract reviewed by somebody that had an unpaid debt to your business? I wouldn't, nobody would. A person like Martin Chavez incapable of paying his Las Nochitas plane fare debt, would be like having Sally Mayer in charge of reviewing Target National Banks contract. The Feds usually look for how that the person reviewing contracts be a person who can pay their debts and has no outstanding debt to that aviation department. (in my humble opinion). By the way, I don't like having to use Sally Mayer because she is moving on, but since her and the Martin Chavez had a fiercious battle and fought one another, I figured appropriate to point out that Martin Chavez also has an unpaid debt with Bode Aviation. (According to news).

Now that Bode Aviation is in the news I must say I can not be more proud of Mr. Nick Bakus for telling the world what we already knew and that is that Mayor Martin Chavez is not a good man. Imagine this coming from one of his high ranking hand picked directors. Way to go Nick.

Eye you must have something on this.

You have to remember that Nick Bakas was aware he was being taped and knowing that probably had a bout of "hidden aggression" toward Martin. Martin tells Bakas to jump and Bakas like a lab dog jumps. There relationship is getting more along the lines of hostility. I don't think Bakas told Martin that he was going to be quoted in the Saturday paper. I thought City lawyers knew better than to give out comments to the media during a Federal lawsuit! Ha!
I bet you Martin is going to be reinterviewed by the FBI and soon! Especially, after the Saturday Paper where Bakas admits that Martin, "got tough." (though Martin was the only person against a resigning of the lease probably because Martin is basically extorting, squeezing.... making Bode Aviation frustrated to the point of having to take legal action in Federal Court against Martin.

Anonymous said...

The above comments about my opinion that Nick Bakas must have hidden aggression toward Martin etc... is all just my opinion. I wonder if Martin goes to Jail for extorting Bode Aviation (in my opinion), if Nick Bakas will also go to Jail? Let' s hope so because truly then the local businesses in Albuquerque will all have a fresh start without having to worry about giving away freebies! (This is also my opinion). I wonder if there are other businesses in Albuquerque that will begin to come forward about Martin expecting freebies?

I would have just skipped over the Bode Aviation lawsuit against the city, but the Saturday Journal got me thinking about the situtation a little more in depth. I thought it was just a bunch of politicians like Cadigan looking to get ahead, but after reading the Saturday Journal.... I believe that Bode Aviation and John and Jane Q Public really need to have stability in aviation. I can't imagine having an Aviation Corporation wasting their time doing rewrites on vendor and subcontractor contracts month to month... I would rather have Bode Aviation concentrating on plane security, safety and making sure aircraft is in flight condition. I would like to see Martin criminally prosecuted for putting Bode Aviation in a stressful, distressful and frustrating position. I believe Bode Aviation needs to have a long term contract with stability in order to concentrate on priorities such as, security and safety. I believe Martin was deliberately trying to run Bode Aviation into the ground just to skip out on not having to pay off his outstanding debt to Bode for his flight to Los Nochitas... (according to Saturday's article).

Vote Martin out

FBI hand over info to U.S. Attorney with recommendation to prosecute Martin for criminal malfeasance, extortion... etc....

Let's go over what exactly a month to month lease agreement is. A month to month lease agreement offers no stability whatsoever to a business. For example, Bode Aviation's main job is to ensure security and safety. In China,
the Chinese make the top officials go up in the airplanes first as a way to test out their safety. If the top officials are willing to go up in an airplane, then there it is believed that the leaders truly believe in their own policies. This is done in China to ensure that politicians don't muddle around in Aviation security and safety. Now, Martin Chavez and his people are in no way, "top officials."

It is disputed as to how much if any that Martin Chavez owes as far as a debt to Bode Aviation. All flight planes are well documented, so the Las Nochitas trip Martin took is documented.

A month to month contract forces Bode Aviation employees into no job security and no planes for future growth. Under a month to month contract, Bode Aviation is forced to spend the month rewriting contracts to vendors and subcontractors which places frustration on Bode employees which is why Bode filed a lawsuit against Martin. Bode Aviation number one priority is security and safety. Checking to make sure aircraft is flight ready. Keeping the sqeeze on Bode Aviation to run Bode into the ground is what Martin needs to be prosecuted for. Bode Aviation goes out of there way to ensure safety and security even on a month to month, but that kind of stress and distress that Bode is operating under is the reason why Bode filed a lawsuit against Martin.

If an APD Officer had to go month to month, then an APD Officer would be under pressure to do exactly what the Mayor wanted. So, if the Mayor had a ticket, then what? If this were Southwest Airlines, then Chavez would have caused a strike. Bode Aviation's Pilots and staff I'm not sure our Union, so working under pressure, distress and stress month to month is probably why there in court telling a Judge that is not the way labor needs to be treated. A tired Pilot bogged down with monthly rewrites of contracts to vendors might be too tired to recheck a part. Bode Aviation right now is having to work above and beyond just to keep security and safety as a priority and keep doing an exemplary job. If this were happening to APD, then the APOA would also be in court, too.

Did anyone see any Board Members in the box?

Are the Board members getting new Cars?

Are all the Board members getting promoted?

Is the mayor buying the Board members brand new homes?

Is the mayor buying the Board a plane from Bode Aviation?

It's hilarious how people get caught up in false rumors (or Hehisms if you will).

Now everyone get back to work, do your jobs, take care of your families....that should be your priority, not gossiping.

Anonymous said...

Normally, I would agree about people not gossiping and just getting back to work and putting themselves and families first as a priority, but you have to remember that what happens in October in the upcoming elections will shape the local economy for four years. So, last night on the news when the Mayoral Forum was being aired, I saw on the news more info on the Aviation industry having to do with GE Aircraft's company in Albuquerque that is going under. The Domino Effect is real. It is occurs when a politician concentrates on driving to the ground a company (Bode Aviation). That company though not small, is the backbone of our economy. Bode Aviation is symbolic of the American Aviation Spirit. Has any police officers taken flight lessons at Bode Aviation? If not, then I strongly encourage that. Flying gives a sense of awe and greater understanding. Learning more and improving your knowledge only adds to your performance of your regular job.

So, I believe that Romero and Berry would bettter promote the spirit of aviation and get people interested in aviaiton. GE Aviation is hurting because not enough people can afford private planes and the industry in general is hurting in a tough economy.

I would hope that a Mayor would understand the need to keep Bode Aviation stable, secure, safe so that Bode Aviation will continue to do exemplary work like the company has over the years at both ABQ International Airport and Double Eagle.

Anonymous said...

Typical, give millions of tax payer dollars to Eclipse and extort a home grown business that will be a part of Albuquerque for ever. Give incentives to the small businesses that employ New Mexicans first. These are the backbone of our local economy!!

Anonymous said...

Exactly! Bode Aviation's incentives could be: 1) No rent increase even though inflation in order to keep the cost of learning to fly an airplane down. 2) Longer lease contracts which would help keep stability and the cost to keep contracts updated on a month to month basis from happening time and cost wise.

3) A Mayor that does a public announcement on Bode Aviation's fine services such as, International Flight School and how much cost is.

The September 11, 01 terrorist act left Americans fearful of Flight Schools, yet that is exactly what terrorists want- fear. So, Flight Schools are a wonderful opportunity for each person to learn a little not just more about themselves, but also about the aviation industry. The Reality is that Flight Schools have to be Federally montitored for safety and security, so the City doesn't need to micromanage month to month because the City would be not only costing Bode more money and time each month to redo contracts with vendors and subcontractors, flight instructors, administrative staff, etc... but also not affording job security with their labor.

Small businesses are the backbone of the Albuquerque economy!

In my opinion, "no" we don't need a Mayor extorting from businesses. Martin Chavez, in my opinion, traveled too much and was probably living outside his means and earnings. With a recent divorce... I would say, Martin's income of 90,000 went to about 30,000 in probably (just guessing) having to support two households instead of just one. Take into account Federal, State taxes and also health insurance then Martin probably cleared about 24,000.

Nobody knows but Martin... that is all personal information, so it's just a rough guess based on news reports on how much Mayor salaries are and news about his recent divorce.

If Martin took a couple of personal trips to Mexico and chartered a private plane... well, that can be expensive. No wonder he didn't pay his bill to Bode Aviation because he just didn't have the money to pay the bill ( in my opinion- on a guess).

That's what happens to businesses when people live outside their means budget. In my opinion, Martin is probably one of those guys who pays all of his credit cards on time for fear of reporting, but screws with local businesses that don't report to Credit Bureaus. (again, just my humble opinion).

Well, Martin walked out without paying his tab at Bode Aviation... I wonder what other businesses have had to contend with Martin's
unreasonable expectations?
Does anybody have any stories?

Extortion - Elements Of Offense, Extortion By Public Officers, Other Crimes Distinguished, Defenses, Further Readings - Punishment, Federal Offenses
The obtaining of property from another induced by wrongful use of actual or threatened force, violence, or fear, or under color of official right.

Under the COMMON LAW, extortion is a misdemeanor consisting of an unlawful taking of money by a government officer. It is an oppressive misuse of the power with which the law clothes a public officer.

Most jurisdictions have statutes governing extortion that broaden the common-law definition. Under such statutes, any person who takes money or property from another by means of illegal compulsion may be guilty of the offense. When used in this sense, extortion is synonymous with blackmail, which is extortion by a private person. In addition, under some statutes a corporation may be liable for extortion.

Extortion is generally punished by a fine or imprisonment, or both. When the offense is committed by a public officer, the penalty may include FORFEITURE of office. Under some statutes, the victim of an extortion may bring a civil action and recover pecuniary damages.

Federal Offenses
Extortion is also a federal offense when it interferes with interstate commerce. It is punishable by a fine, imprisonment, or both. Another federal statute makes it a crime to engage in extortionate credit transactions.

Ok...... Martin Chavez, in my opinion, committed extortion on Bode Aviation and should be criminally prosecuted!!!!

Here is what I'm wondering.....
Bode Aviation can substantiate that the Las Nochitas trip was taken.... I bet you that Martin won't be able to produce a credit card statement or any other documentation because he just didn't pay his bill.....

People..... always pay your bill.....because people that use their public office to extort from businesses belong in jail!

Slam Marty not the APOA for BS rumors. Quit trying to associate the APOA with the decisions that the Dwarf makes.

You few bottom feeders in APD continue to blame the APOA for things you do not benefir from. It's time you realize that the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few.

Suck it up or go else where. The majority has not and will not support you whiners.

Spew your negative comments all you want, the majority has spoken with previous APOA elections and will continue to do so.

If you are that disgruntled leave the department before you get someone hurt or killed. Maybe a position at AKAL is your right fitcuz your negative attitude is not welcome with the Brothers and Sisters of APD.

As you leave I wish you the best of luck in your negative and pitiful life.

Anonymous said...

Here is what is truly negative and pitiful that the APOA supports Marty. Maybe, the APOA will wise up and support Berry or Romero instead.

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm..... maybe APOA should care about protecting APD Officers from leaders like Chavez who have people like David Young on their team..... that could cause someone to get hurt or killed simply because David Young lacked training on undercover work (obviously because he didn't have an Officer to show up in court) or police academy training. Maybe it is people in the APOA that welcome that kind of activity that needs to be shown the door, "don't let the door hit your butt on the way out."

Anonymous said...

As soon as the issue was brought to the attention of the APOA action was taken.

Do you think people are mind readers?

If you have an issue present it. Give the APOA an opportunity to address an issue before you start whining in public.

Funny someone claiming to speak for the APOA is telling officers to get back to work. Is that after wiping the lube off after getting out of bed with Marty again? When the President of the APOA endorses Marty without the consent of the majority of members, it is WRONG. Only the APOA board thinks differently. People that choose their allegiance for money and greed end up getting burned in the end. Thanks to those bottom feeders who day in and day up go to work!

Anonymous said...

Marty is doing lip service on numerous issues. Joey backing Marty instead of a different candidate is done so because Martin would retaliate and have a reason to hold up negotiations for better contracts for APD with the City during their annual discussions (if Marty wins). Joey has seen the polls as is no dummy. He is just playing it safe. On the other hand, with numerous recent news stories and lawsuits (Bode Aviation etc...) Martin could be voted out of office and/or indicted on criminal charges. The Feds might have dropped the indictment on Bill and his Aides to make room for Martin Chavez's indictment.
