The Piercing Truth

This is right from the dictionary and seems to describe Albuquerque, Berry and Schultz. Fascism (f ash ,izem) noun An authoritarian right wing system of government and/or social organization. (in general use) extreme right wing, authoritarian, chauvinistic and/or intolerant views or practices. Fascism tends to include a belief in the supremacy of one group over another, national, ethnic, especially social strata or monetarily; a contempt for democracy, an insistence on obedience to a powerful leader, and a strong demagogic approach. Chief Costs the City $175K While “Dawg” Defends

According to the Albuquerque Journal (read it here), “The city has paid $175,000 to settle claims brought by three women against the Albuquerque Police Department and a former reserve officer…” The Journal states in the lawsuit, David C. Young, a radio technician, “misrepresented his position and authority, claiming to be a detective and a commissioned officer when he was in fact a civilian.” We all know a good chief knows what is going on in his department, right? Not APD’s “I know nothing” Schultz.

Our Eyes behind the badge tell us there have been several questionable incidents involving Dave Young while he has been with APD. Young was assigned, at one time, to the Departments’ Special Investigation Division (SID) as a quasi-fleet coordinator (one of the Good Ol’ Boys). Our Eyes tell us Mr. Young had several issues but all were swept under the rug. Then again, you need to keep in mind that APD’s SID Unit does whatever it wants, remember the Brad Arensfield case? Guess who was behind that mess? If you guessed APD’s SID Unit; you are 100% correct. Our Eyes tell us that this unit has been run by and with rogue coppers.

Apparently the Chief doesn’t care because he has done nothing to correct the problems or is waiting for another million dollar suit. When the next suit hits, Schultz can have his guard “Dawg” Kathy Levi attack this new blunder and start the regular rhetoric; “The main thing to remember is that when this was brought to the attention of the chief, he suspended it.” These reactive responses are too little; too late Chief.

In the Journal it states, “The women claim David C. Young, a department technician who was allowed to work overtime as an undercover officer and arrest suspected prostitutes, misrepresented his position and authority when arresting them.” It appears that more payouts are on the way. The Journal also reported, “Attorney Arne Leonard said the recent settlement takes care of pending federal litigation, but a separate state action filed against the city in May by the Kennedy & Han law firm is still pending. That lawsuit was filed on behalf of 12 individuals to set aside convictions in cases in which Young made the arrest.” If the cost is $175,000.00 per every three persons; the City will need to pay out an additional $700,000.00 for the 12 individuals that are pending. The new total; $875,000.00. That will bring this debacle to around the same amount as the Costales debacle.

According to the Journal, Deputy (Dawg) City Attorney Kathryn Levi stated the settlement was paid out to two women who filed suits against the City and a third women just asked for the dough and did not file a suit. Must be nice for the third women; “Ask and you shall receive.”

The Journal investigation also reported, “He even wrote criminal complaints testifying under “the penalty of perjury” that he was a detective with the Albuquerque Police Department…” We figured if Schultz could fudge under oath, it must be okay for APD’s premier radio technician to do the same. Schultz was convicted in Federal Court of fudging the truth concerning former APD Officer Sam Costales. The Jury slammed Schultz who was convicted of civil rights violations which resulted in a huge award in favor of Costales of for $862,000.00.

According to the Journal, Young stated in an email, “…it had been a tough week and ‘I need to point my GUN at somebody.’” Let’s make sure we have the story correct. This dork comes out of Sherwood Forrest and feels a “need” to point a firearm at an Albuquerque citizen, right? Does anybody see a “loose cannon” ready to go off and hurt one of our citizens? Oddly enough, an APD supervisor thought this was a good idea? Can anyone say, “Culture of Corruption?”

Ray Schultz’s number two guard dog, Deputy “Dawg” Kathy Levi, stretched out her neck for Schultz stating, “The main thing to remember is that when this was brought to the attention of the chief, he suspended it.” Who is Levi to instruct anyone on what to “remember?” Schultz screwed up again and Levy wants us all to “remember?” Really? Well Ms. Levi, everyone “remembers” all the debacles that your Master Schultz has caused and no one will forget it either. Just a reminder Levi when a neck stretches out, the end result is not pleasant.

Santa Schultz keeps costing us tax payers but Mayor Eeyore Berry thinks Schultz walks on water. The Mayor should be deducting 10% from each settlement out of Schultz’s pay. Schultz might actually start watching and managing the Police Department. For now; Schultz “skates” again.

If that dork wants to point a gun at someone he can point it at me, I could use a cool million

The eye has failed to report Rob Perry's and Berry's connection to all the large settlements. Under Chavez there was a "no settlement" policy. Mayor Berry, Darren White and Rob Perry got rid of the "no settlement" policy. As City Attorney and now as CAO, Rob Perry sits on the claims review board or is involved with approving the large settlements.

The City Of Albuquerque seems to be an open checkbook. It seems that the top management can do whatever they want and if they get caught just pay off with tax payer money. Meanwhile cut City Employee pay and give them furlow days. Then the city blames everything on the unions. Beware City Employees don't fall for the cities game plan. Stand united with your union or you will lose everything you have gained over the years. If there are problems with your union , you the members must clean up thoes problems yourself. The City continues to pay out millions due to the misdeeds of top management and the City Employee continue to suffer for their misdeeds.

Levy is only a dawg in looks she is no bulldog in court. Someone should look into how much she has costs the city in fines to include being late and not getting discovery done.

The DOJ must review these lawsuits. The shootings are important, but since Schultz has been here he has cost the citizens around $15,000,000! Since no one at City Hall gives a damn, it must be up to the DOJ to expose it.

Not that I am really fond of the assistant city attorney but her last name is Levy....I should know I also spent many years battling her and Schultz getting my case settled....Levy not Levi.

VOTE NO on everything for the current bond election. VOTE NO and send Berry and others a firm message. We are sick of them wasting our money. A NO VOTE will lower our property taxes.

Yes Amen to the poster on the NO BONDS...NONE NOT LIBRARY, PUBLIC SAFETY NOTHING. The not raising of taxes is questionable. Your taxes will go down if no bonds are approved. Also there's no guarantee that the BONDS will be used for what you voted them for.

Any other city in the nation and he would have been fired a long time ago!!!!! Ohh, and by the way, Winter sucks! How can he defend Ray Boy?!!!!!!!!!!

So, heard Schultz's daughter had her car broken into at the Monte Carlo the other night while she was off duty.

Funny, out of all the cars that could have been hit, and it was hers..guess it's called karma baby.

Of course, he had the night detectives working double time trying to analyze the video at the monte carlo...Doesn't everyone wish they could have their break-ins investigated so quickly?

Thanks Ray, KRQE just reported you cost us another $150,000 in a lawsuit where APD officers have been handcuffing grade and middle school kids.

Just how much more money can this police chief cost us? How much money does Albuquerque have to keep handing out for "No Nothing" Schultz and his horrendous management.

VOTE NO on the Bond election and Scam Red Light Cameras! Send a message to Mayor Berry and the the city council that we the people are taking back our city. Voting the bond issue down is the only way Berry, Winter and the others will get the word that the citizens are fed up! Too bad Ray Schultz wasn't put on the ballot.

Much like the 1/4 cent Public Safety tax.

Abused, misappropriated (raises), false pretense of need. Basically, the taxpayer was taken for a ride primarily by APD, secondarily by AFD in their advocating for the need of this tax. Albuquerque Interfaith won't be signing up to help APD/AFD in pushing for anymore public safety taxes.

I AGREE.... VOTE NO on all taxes, bond issues.

Why does dave young still have a take home car? Dont say because he is on call When is the last time he was called out?

Nice article by Joylene Kruger in Friday's Journal. APD tried to scare her off didn't work to good.

Wow, the Albuquerque Journal endorses Ray Schultz for to continue as Chief (I guess they doin't read their own reporting), they endorse the current bond issue for Albuquerque (what a waste of money) and they endorse the Red Light Scammeras (again they don't read their own reporting). So just what is going on at the Journal? Money folks, it is all about money. I could promise that if the editorial board at the Journal did the right thing (what their reporters have reported) and not endorse "know nothing" Schultz, the bond issue and the red light cameras; Mayor Berry would immediately pull the monthly DWI page and Property offender page from the Journal. This would cost the Journal thousands of dollars each month and they just can't afford that. So instead they make an economic decision to back this goof ball mayor and his bad plans and management. If you haven't noticed the Journal is a very thin (in more ways than one) newspaper. They are losing subscribers and advertisers. They need money, and the city of Albuquerque will continue to pay them thousands, so long as they spit out the mayor's policy as gospel.

I hope you all recognize what the Journal is doing and call them out. You should also call the mayor and council and tell them to just post the pictures of dwi and property offenders, at the city website. This would be for free! Wow, the city doing something for free.

Be sure you send a strong message on election day, VOTE NO on the Red light cameras and the Bond issue. This will reduce your property taxes and send Berry and Winter a strong message to stop wasting our money. VOTE NO!

New blood needed at city hall.
Bond & Red light camera supporters, Trudy Duty and Brad the Shad. Trudy, a one time yes girl imbecile and Brad "I've been here way to long to give a shit" Winter need to go. Let's shake up city hall and tell Berry he can't have 'gimmie' votes from the council anymore. Throw these two bums out.
